Ordered the special Halloween Donut Box and one of the pumpkin desserts and they are delicious. We have tried their donuts and brunch before but I love that they keep flavors fresh and do specials for holidays. While they are a bit on the expensive side this place is worth it. The staff are always friendly and chefs always knock it out of the park!
A tiny wait but not overly long. The service makes up for it though....My drink and then my food were out and on my table rather quickly. It was hot, fresh, and very delicious!! The coffee was as expected and the dessert was spectacular. I watched as they cleaned tables as soon as they became vacant. Cute gift shop. Great breakfast selection of food and drink!
Great food, unique spin on otherwise usually boring dishes. Check out this creme brûlée coffee and biscuits and gravy. Groovy spot. Would have given 5 stars but I had to give 4 because it was $104 for 3 of us including tip. No complaints on the food but big too pricey unless it’s a special occasion.
So hip! Outside is very inviting and the stand alone building is different than whats surrounding it. Very clean and well put together parking lot! It reminds me of a very luxury Starbucks. Clean, well lit and those cakes!!! They are like little pieces of art that are impatiently waiting to be enjoyed... The Onyx is phenomenal. One might have second thoughts about this jewel - should I eat this or just look at it?! Beautiful to look at but delectable to savor - melt in mouth. The honey berry cup - another amazing choice of flavors put together for your taste buds enjoyment. A wide selection of specialty coffees as well. Recommend hands down!
I visited this weekend while in Florida for my Birthday Continued. The Glass Knife was recommended by Tyler from Artifact Candle Foundry and it did not disappoint. My bestie and I enjoyed the indulgent deserts, drinks, and our waiter was the best. The ambiance was everything! And the perfect flair to the wine-down of an amazing day! Will definitely visit again and highly recommend!!
This is the second time that I went there.First time I tried the ônix chocolate and a berries entremet. It’s beautiful to look, but flavor, too much gelatin to hold the shape, and boring taste.Just a fancy dessert, too expensive for the quality.I came this time to check if they have more options, but no, same thing and missing a few itens.
I cant believe its taken us so long to eat here.Ive lived in the area for 8ish years and Ive seen this place countless times and I cant believe we waited so long. The service was great and the food even better.I got the grilled cheese with tomato bisque and a side of mac and cheese. Both the bisque and the mac and cheese had an unexpected - though not at all unwelcome - kick of sweetness that really kicked up these two common dishes to another level. The sandwich was far from a typical grilled cheese. The bread held up with great flavor and texture and the cheese combination was very well done.My wife got the turkey sandwich which is served on a pretzel. Everything about it was good. The pretzel was fresh, it had plenty of salt, the honey mustard was yummy and fragrant.Well 100% be back.
I am really conflicted about how many stars to rate The Glass Knife. On Friday, a mortgage company trying to earn our business, dropped off a box of goodies from The Glass Knife. We cut up all the selections so we could try multiple things. Literally everything I tried was amazing. I was so impressed, I took my husband and son that night. My husband and I had the creme Brulee cortado and it was fantastic. So today, I took my daughter for brunch. Heres where it all fell apart. The service was absolutely horrible. The food was terrible. I really hope it was just because we came at the end of the brunch shift...I was honestly embarrassed. I had raved about it to my daughter and it was like going to an entirely different restaurant. There were multiple tables of people who had the same experience we did; there was a lot of frustration that the servers were literally ignoring their tables. Ive never seen such blatant disregard for customers. It was honestly shocking.
One: The food was amazing here. Two: Bad review because the service was literally terrible. Sat down and given warm water then had to ask another waiter to bring us drinks 30 minutes later because the waitress forgot about our existence outside. She took our order after that, and someone else brought out our food. We ate and she never came back outside. I ended up having to go inside to get the check and pay. Overall not a good first experience because of the service.
Quite literally the best brownie I have ever had. I just finished watching the newest season of the great British baking show so I was really craving something sweet. I was really nervous about my selection because I’m usually a vanilla cake kinda gal but the options via Uber eats are limited. The brownie is so soft and gooey with caramel in the middle but it’s not over powering. I will eat these forever, so happy to have found them and will be trying new things soon!
Weve always talked about going here, and drove past it plenty of times. We finally went to Glass Knife on Valentines Day 2021, and I cant believe we waited so long. The brunch was delicious, and worth a visit by itself, but the deserts were the truly amazing bit. Moist and delicious cakes, fruits, mousse and more, its a wonderland for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their coffee is a perfect finish to a meal or start to a day. Definitely worth a visit. 10/10.
I love the environment of this place. Its so cute and the food is cuter. I love that theyre still following social distancing guidelines and requiring masks to enter and when youre not eating. They dont close until like 10 so I was sad that I was there at 6 and they only had one choice of donut, but I understand if they stop baking at a certain time and just sell what was baked that morning.
I really love The Glass Knife! I appreciate that they continue to take Covid precautions seriously. Inside I noticed that they were spacing out seating, and they continue to ask guests to wear masks indoors when they arent actively eating. We came at about 2pm on a Saturday with no reservation and the wait wasnt bad at all, we were told it would take 30 minutes but it was closer to 20. Off of the weekend brunch menu, we had the biscuits and gravy and the waffles and I highly recommend both! I also had a flat white to drink and the coffee was great. We also pre ordered a box of specialty doughnuts and they were so gorgeous and delicious and it was really quick to pick up upon arrival. Definitely a great spot to eat with friends or for a date!
This was truly an incredible experience. It was love at first site and it did not disappoint the longer I was there. From the aesthetically pleasing decor and displays of desserts, to the wonderful staff! We specifically loved Bella! She was fantastic! I must start with telling you I am NOT a mimosa drinker, I know, I know trust me I get so much flack about it, however....I finally had a mimosa at brunch with my girlfriends here and the juice choices were incredible!!! Made in house, they had an array of choices, but the spiked Cherry 🍒 was by far my favorite! And the cranberry reminded us of Thanksgiving with the herbs muddled into it. The menu is small, but complete perfection in every way!!!! I cannot wait to go back and try the quiche next! And then again for lunch.😋🤗
My husband had a hot chocolate and I had almond milk cappuccino. They were both excellent and the service was great. Love Glass knife
Absolutely loved this place! Their food is delicious, service is impeccable, ambiance is excellent. So many good menu options and best desserts around. Great location ~ good parking. No wait. Includes a mini gift shop within with really cool items. The smell inside and out is very appealing. Lots of nice orchids, parlor palms etc. Safe and spacious seating. Great place to eat out! Must Try!!! It is soooooo good!!!!
The Glass Knife is very clean and pleasant, but not the kind of place I enjoy. The menu is just sandwiches and breakfast type sandwiches. However, meals cost as much as a full meal with sides at most moderately priced restaurants. The food was OK, but nothing I would go back for. My buddy that had lunch there with me felt the same. We wont be going,
Food was very very good and our server Corbin was amazing. He was attentive, knew the menu well and very charming and friendly. We will be back soon. We also took 10 of those desserts home. Great place. 5 star plus.
Adorable place and the service is amazing and on point!! Lots of goodies to choose from and a great place to get a yummy cup of coffee. :)
The food was terrific. However, the service was unfortunately dreadful. The Hostess needs more training. Rude, disorganized, and poor communicator. Customer flow needs better management. We were literally pointed to our table by the Hostess and told that “we will put you over there” - I’m not freight. She sent us on our way so that she could seat someone else. Apparently, I’m not as important. The remainder of our lunch only continued with the lackluster customer service.
5 stars is for a great experience. The coffee (mocha) is perfect, the best Ive ever had in Orlando. Desserts delicious, nice atmosphere, etc. We were just a little annoyed that it took 15 minutes for our desserts to come to our table. There was only 8 people inside and coffee came super fast. This is my only critique. I recommend.
This café is more than just desserts but of course I went solely for coffee and dessert myself. It is a nice chic place to go to when one wants to be in a different atmosphere and relax. It is elegant and the café con leche was smooth, creamy and delicious. Also the chocolate brownie was chocolaty and moist and I am not a person that cares much for brownies and I have to say that it was yummy. The staff is also friendly which was a big plus too
I had the turkey club. It was A1 and the pretzel bun gave what it was supposed to give! Heres a hint, add sliced avocado and a fried egg!! The tomato bisque is warm, chunky, and delicious! The 🍩 were amazing! Tried quite a few! Favorite was the orange zesty one. Lemonade is homemade and refreshing...i had strawberry flavored. Customer service great, staff patient and friendly. No complaints, aside from the fact that we had to ask for utensils napkins and plates one by one (party of 10)...that was weird! Oh and we didnt know to go inside to order and we werent given refills unless we asked and it was hot outside lol i guess those are complaints but the good def outweighed the bad! Overall A- Cant wait to come back & brunch here with bae & try the fresh brewed coffee though!
Honestly if i could give zero stars i would. I ordered a cake for my daughter in laws birthday and was set for pick up yesterday. I called about a week before and asked to please change the date to today. I was assured it would be there. I made sure to ask if it would be there in the morning as i was stopping in after my dr appt. Again assured yes. I stop in and no cake. Several times i was apologized to and assured YET AGAIN the cake would be in early afternoon. I could come back at 2pm. Got a call around 1pm that the chefs called and said the cake wouldnt be there until later in the day or the next. Really? This is the type of business you run? Will definitely not make the mistake of wasting money here again. Thanks for nothing
Charming and fun boutique brunch and dessert specialty cafe. Not cheap (6 bucks for a cookie ... but it’s a GOOD COOKIE! :D ) but a great place for something special. Spacious and comfortable patio, laptop-friendly spaces inside (with wi-fi) make this a great place to hang out with a specialty coffee. Several small gifts as well. Staff members are friendly and accommodating, and service is top-notch.
My friends and I visited this place for the first time. The staff were friendly and the place was clean. The desserts looked absolutely amazing, however, all lacked flavor. The white chocolate mocha was nothing special, just a fluffy and lightly sweetened cake. The tiramisu was good, except for the bottom layer filled with crisp wafer? Also, the strawberry cheesecake was disappointing because it tasted nothing like strawberry. It was more of a lemon or key lime cheesecake which was strange.
Beautiful atmosphere! My daughter and I love this place although it is a little pricey for cake but still very good
Happy Valentines Day ❤My favorite place for deserts...My husband is not a big fan of desert but he likes coffee there, because of Valentines it was full, we did reservations but still waited for 15mins... but thats okay !This little strawberry cake was amazing!I loved it!All deserts are great, and fresh 👍 staff is so polite and helpful 😊Deserts ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Coffee ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Staff ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the dessert is delicious.
I love this place! The meals here are always amazing and everything is made with the best quality.
Put in an order for a chocolate cake. Get a call 5 minutes later that they are sold out and will refund the card. Why can I place an order for a cake you are sold out of? Fix your system.
Such a fine place. Fresh food, great service, delicious cakes. Highly recommended for sunday brunch.
Ive been to the Glass Knife a few times now, and they are always a delight. The staff is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is comfortable and the playlist leans romantic. They have a variety of desserts, and the red velvet cake with cheesecake between the cake layers is my new favorite!
Could eat here ALL day ! Absolutely delicious !
Such a cute place to have brunch or grab dessert! The ingredients in the dishes are uniquely paired & delicious 😋 Winter Park is also a cute neighborhood to walk around with beautiful homes, boutiques and restaurants.
Came in today for the quiche. What a treat. The food is amazing here but the wait staff really shines. Our server was Corbin and he was so awesome. We will absolutely be back.
I’m so glad I stopped into the Glass Knife earlier today! I have been meaning to stop by this place for a while & decided to finally go with my son this morning. Not only was the Doughnut the BEST I have ever had, but every single item was devoured in less than 30 minutes! The reason I am writing this review however, is to compliment the wonderful staff members that just made our experience over the top. Cam and Carme at the register helped us with our provisions and were so kind. People like this can take an already great experience and just put it over the top. We will be coming back often!!
Our all time favorit dessert shop. Everything is so good and fresh!
Beautifully made desserts that taste amazing. Great atmosphere and friendly service. Sandwiches taste great and the coffee is good.
This place is perfectly lovely. We loved everything from the airy atmosphere that was just regal. It was such a treat for my daughter and I. It is a great place for meeting friends or celebrating with loved ones or even the perfect place for a romantic brunch. The food was unique and delicious. The cheddar biscuit was like biting in to a garden quiche. The pastries were all fabulously decadent. Not to mention the rare perfect almond milk chai latte!!! The wait was a short length of time and the staff were pleasant. It’s the type of place I would return to in every trip to the area.
Great variety from cakes to donuts, salads to breakfast. Sausage biscuits to eggs benedict, soups, drinks and coffee to please the most discriminating. You will not be disappointed inside or outside.
Just yes… everything about this place is an entire mood. Yum!
My gosh what a beautiful restaurant filled with delectable desserts, drinks and food. Everything about this place caught my eye and held my attention. They also had a lot of cute knick knacks/gift items for sale. I bought a Signature Sprinkle doughnut and it was absolutely DELICIOUS! This is my new favorite place in Winter Park and I am so grateful my friend G brought me there. 🍩
An Orlando favorite ever since opening its doors in late-2017, The Glass Knife resides in Winter Park, and although the décor suggests someplace built solely for Instagram the Pastry case and menu tell of skilled bakers familiar with French technique.Toqued by Executive Chef Stuart Whitfield, with pink and black décor attributed to owner Steve Brown’s mother, it is at indoor tables or a on a shaded patio that guests are invited to indulge daily, the savory menu seemingly perfectly adequate though most will likely be drawn to Desserts such as the chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie or decadent Salted Caramel Brownie.Still busy mid-pandemic, all staff donning PPE and positive attitudes, it would be a mistake to ignore Whitfield’s “Ultimate Cinnamon Roll,” layers of Buttermilk Brioche surrounding Cinnamon-Sugar beneath Cream Cheese Frosting, while Donuts are hit and miss, the filled Vegan version faring will in contrast to Cranberry Orange and Apple which were each too oily.
The deserts and the Coffee were great. But, this place is not for everybody. You cant pay in cash. Which I find very Sad in our Country. There are many people that still depend on Cash. For this Reason I personally wont be back.
Coffee and food were great. Definitely going again
Thank you Cam for your hospitality! The vegan Blueberry Lemon Thyme doughnut is my favorite one, but all the desserts are worth trying at least once, my partner got the tropical tart and we had such a great time. Always a great place for breakfast!
This restaurant is now the gold standard for a late night dessert date in Orlando. The place is clean, well decorated and had an ambiance that’s perfect for that dessert date. The service is exceptional. We’ve been here three times already and each time the service and dessert has been impeccable. I seriously hope none of that changes. Now to the most important part, the dessert. Just look at the pictures, they speak for themselves. And each one we’ve tried tastes amazing. I was even impressed with their to-go packaging.
The cakes and pastries are ALWAYS delicious! Such a cute and quaint place to sit, relax and enjoy with friends or family. Definitely recommend!
If you are looking for an extremely instagrammable cafe with a smattering of delicious and cute desserts, coffee, and savory options, this is it. This is the perfect place for a date night without a huge meal. I got the chicken salad sandwich, strawberry cake, and cappuccino. All were delectable. Prices were as expected for the presentation and quality of food. Service was friendly and you dont have to wait too long for food.
Great brunch place. Pricier than others and much slower service though than other local places. Youll enjoy the rotating dessert selection so if you dont go too frequently there will be something new to try.
What a lovely cafe! Not a big fan of the food but I loved their cute vibe. I pre-ordered the donuts box. It looks so cute and fancy but the tastes are not very awesome. For the good looking, I chose the pink sprinkle one. For the taste, I loved the creme brulee one. I would come here again since they update the pretty cute donut and cookies, cake and I dont wanna miss that chance :)
Was in the area and craving something small and sweet. Saw the amazing donuts and pastrys on display and couldnt resist. I got one Creme brulee donut. Brioche donut with a crystalized sugar top and subtly sweet vanilla bean custard inside. It wasnt too sweet at all but it was perfect. And my friend got a chocolate tart that was filled with mousse I think.Got to sit outside and it was beautiful out today. Neat little spot. Ill have to be back and try more items on the menue. Everything was clean and all of the staff were so sweet as well.
Have absolutely nothing bad to say about this place. Delicious breakfast options, a robust coffee/espresso menu, and decadent, adorable sweets. The atmosphere is also great, very lively but not too loud. At 10a on a Saturday it was already pretty busy but we didnt have trouble finding room for 6.
What a beautiful restaurant! I follow them on instagram, and love the beautifully crafted desserts. I saw the pimento cheese sandwiches had to try it. I love it! The pimento was fresh, and paired very well with the avocado and bacon jam! The iced latte I had was perfectly crafted as well! The desserts were equally amazing we got the Chocolate Onyx and the Black Forest. The desserts were as flavorful as they were beautiful. I will be back! This place is amazing! The service was outstanding! My cousin brought her dog. We were worried a bit that people wouldn’t like her, but everyone loved her! The servers were very sweet to her and made her happy! I love the pet friendly atmosphere here!Thank you to all the servers that were so helpful and sweet to us and Rose!
Exceptional.Cheddar biscuit is the winner!!!My friend has the Avo toast also excellent!!Lavender Latte was very good.Great customer care and desserts appear to be top notch...next time!!
My wife had the onyx chocolate pastry and I had the red velvet cake. My wife rated hers a 3.5 (out of 5) and I rated mine a 4 out of 5...we spent around 30 bucks for both and two coffees. Nothing earth shattering but still very good. I would come back!
The eggs Benedict is a must! Service was a little slow, but very friendly and courteous.
Nice staff and nice place. First time here and go their seasonal strawberry cake and chocolate croissant to go. Both tasty and fresh. Need to try them out for brunch or lunch.
Amazing chocolate cake. Everyone loved it. Will purchase for another special event.
The baked goods were good but the food was ok, we drove 4 hours because it looked so awesome. The service was not good or server kept standing by the host podium, she was confused about almost everything to top it all off I paid for my food and apparently someone elses the girl came back and told me and I had to pay my bill and the other would be refunded then the manager came over and since I live 4 hours away I wanted to make sure it would be taken care of there was still confusion when the manager came over and she said she would refund everything and we still havent seen the refunds and now we have 3 charges from 1 meal. They have a very talented baker and if I was in the area I might stop by but only order at the counter, the ladies at the counter seemed to be able to handle the busy to go orders they were getting from walk ins.
Best Desserts in Orlando! 🎂
Everything was delicious. From the tea to the pastries and the donut. High end tea and coffee selection to go with interesting donuts. I let my kid pick anything he wanted so he went for the biggest, sparkliest, glitter topped donut. I had a bite and its what youd imagine but the candies were a very interesting texture. He ate the whole thing. Our savory feta and spinach pastry was a little small to share but tasted nice. The berry cake was by far the best and I enjoyed every bite. We will certainly be going back!
Loved it the staff was helpful and kind! I got the turkey sandwich and a bunch of deserts and my brother and cousin ate here and we all loved it would come back again!
Nice place. I had the Egg Benedict and it was excellent. They should have used real ham instead of deli sliced ham. The price point for the meal was about right. The wait staff were friendly and prompt. The desserts looked fabulous, only the meal didnt leave room for one.
Obsessed. If I could eat dessert every day (lets be real.. multiple times a day..) I would look no further than the Glass Knife.I can say I have tried it all. I love it all. I need it all.If youre considering going, go. If youve been... why are you reading this? Go get some yummies!!!
I went to the Glass Knife recently, and their prices are really high and I do not think its worth it to come here despite their pretty aesthetic inside the place. The only think thats nice is their design inside of the restaurant. It is really nice and aesthetically pleasing, but aside from the design, nothing else is amazing here. The pastries are overpriced and I tried two of their pastries, and they were not good at all. The coffee wasnt good either. They were overpriced, cold, and not tasty. Aside from that, their customer service is horrible. Everyone that worked there minus two employees seemed so miserable and unhappy to be there, so as much as their restaurant is nice, if you have terrible customer service, its not worth nothing. So in short, I really do not recommend wasting your money and coming here. The only thing youll get are cute pictures, but as far as service and taste, nothing.
My favorite dessert place in town. I even took a friend here the other day and they were blown away with how many options they had and how well presented everything was. Will definitely be back.
An Excellent Experience! The avocado toast was to die for, the desserts just phenomenal. They are really good at how the tables are spaced apart too.
Great Brunch! Food tasted great and deserts were amazing
I finally tried The Glass Knife. I had been following on Instagram for a good while. Loved loved it! Brought my boyfriend back for a few to go items today. This is hands down my favorite place now! Beautiful desserts! (Very Wes Anderson if you will) And out of this world flavor! Cant wait to go back. 😊❤
