You may want to reconsider getting your hair done at the salon in Ulta if you are looking for a clean, polished look. I’ve had my hair done by several stylists at Ulta, and they don’t seem to understand the basics of hair. That’s not to say that all the stylists are not skilled, but it seems to be an ongoing trend there. I gave several stylists at Ulta chance after chance to cut and color my hair thinking that maybe ill have better luck with a different stylist. Unfortunately, they all failed to achieve anything close to what I asked for, and I ended up leaving with an uneven haircut or hair color. Something to also take into consideration is that the hair stylists are all commission based, and their goal is to book as many appointments as possible. Your appointment can overlap with another appointment, hence less attention will be given to you and your service will be rushed. The overall experience at the salon in Ulta is more like a fast food drive through rather than fine dining. My advice for anyone looking to have their hair done: don’t assume that a licensed cosmetologist is a skilled professional. There is a difference between getting a license just to do hair, and actually having the talent and the ability to master the art of doing hair. Take your time and search for someone that really knows hair, and knows what they are doing. Dont allow a person who lacks training and expertise to experiment with your hair. If you feel uncomfortable with a stylist, dont be embarrassed to walk away. With that being said, I personally do not recommend getting your hair done at Ulta.

Amazing store love the layout and beautiful people. Purchasing and finding things and navigating store you can see so many different brands. Today, I was looking for my Megababe products and was assisted to exact spot of item I was looking for. Friendly associates make this my favorite Ulta store.

I havent had a salon experience there and Ill still give it a 2 stars. I made my appointment to get my hair done, with enough time in between to get a followup done before I go to a wedding. They call me to let me know the person that I selected isnt actually trained to do the process and no one at the store can. So I had to wait another 2 weeks to make an appointment an another store. Which left me no time to get my hair done before the wedding. It was followed up again by another girl who wasnt going to be there so I needed to change my appointment to a different date. I now rather drive 30 mins to Waterford Lakes and have great customer service. Then drive 5 mins to deal with the mess they have been.

The people who work here are very friendly and helpful, they have a lot of product knowledge and don’t mind showing you what to use and how to use it. Big selections available for all different kinds of products. Monica did a great job of helping us find the face makeup my wife was looking for!

Brittany worked magic on my eyebrows! Very easy to talk to and has been doing brows for over 6 years. This was my first time in a long time getting my brows waxed and Brittany was attentive to what I was looking for and gave me just what I wanted. She even gave me some insight on how to take care of my hair color while she was doing my brows. I highly recommend going to her for your brow care needs. My whole appointment lasted around 20 minutes, she washed her hands and sanitized her work surface before and after working on me and wore a face shield and gloves while working on me. Thank you Brittany!

The store is amazing. I could stay in there for hours looking at make up. The staff was friendly and very skilled. They helped me with my foundation, just asked a couple of questions and then they took me and it was perfect !

In three words, GO TO ANGELA. She is an angel and miracle worker on your hair. I have gone to her twice now, and both times she has completely transformed my hair for the better.She is so experienced and knowledgeable, you won’t be disappointed. I recently just had the worst haircut of my life and was feeling so discouraged. I instantly knew I had to call Angela to help fix what had happened. She was so understanding and just reassured me the whole appointment, She kept making sure to tell me exactly what she was doing and showing me her steps. MY HAIR IS GORGEOUS, I didn’t think it would be possible after the botched haircut I got before seeing her.I felt so relieved after and my confidence is back! I’m going back to her again for a color correction, which she has helped me with before. She has my full confidence, I feel so relieved to have finally found the perfect stylist.Thank you Angela!

When signing up for the Ulta credit card here I told the cashier my address was incorrect on the screen. She said since I had been preapproved to just hit accept and I can change it later. I should have canceled my application right then and there but I didnt. When I tried to change my address to get my card sent to the proper address I couldnt get through so guess where my card is now? Had to cancel it since it was “lost” in the mail somewhere but really just delivered to a random address that wasnt mine. Just shows this store doesnt care about the customers, they just want your money.

This is my favorite ulta location to visit. The best customer service from all the staff and everyone I happen upon is always helpful. The location is also extremely convenient for me traveling to there. It always clean and stocked well.

Well I have to say this location is consistent! I rarely go into this location but when I do I seem to become invisible. No greeting at all! Unless I stare at them and then they murmur hello but the people who appear Caucasian oh they fall over themselves to welcome them into the store. No problem I will take my (4x) business elsewhere. I also was there long and close enough to hear two employees talk so loud about their personal business but never pause to help me with my inquiries. Goes top down Ulta👎🏽

Great place for midline and upper cosmetics. ULTA carries many brands; Bare Minerals, Lancome, Tarte, Mac, and Loreal to name just a few. They have skin care products, (Dermalogica, Clarins...etc) Hair care tools and products, Redkin, Biolage, Paul Mitchell, Bumble and Bumble, CHI, Dyson, to name just a few... There is an in house Salon, as well as a brow bar. They offer makeup tutorials, full makeup, as well as assistance choosing the right product for your skin and hair. I cant forget the wonderful assortment of delicious smelling perfumes and body lotions, and bath products as well. They offer great sales and coupons, as well as a purchase point system that will build up a cash bonus for future purchases. Be careful, its an easy place to drop cash because of all the great choices!

Many great name brand products at a cool, affordable prices. Must visit soon.

Ordered online, curbside pickup, good prices I think (I swear the makeup was for my wife, not me :). Best of all was the employee who brought it out wearing the most festive red outfit and green hair, talk about being in the holiday mood!!

Went to a salon for the first time in three years. I looked at reviews for other Ulta branches near me, including others experience with the salon, and I chose Ava specifically to help me out with my hair. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my experience at all!! My hair has been salvaged and I left with 10x more confidence than I had when I came in. Ava even helped me look around the store for supplies that would help me maintain my new healthy hair. I am absolutely coming back!! (but not three years from now...) Thanks Ava!!

Ava Jade always does an AMAZING job on my hair. Please note that Ava does not go by the name Anthony anymore. She is a hair genius! The coloring of my highlights and low lights is so amazing every time. I get compliments on my hair constantly since I started go to Ava. She listens to what I want and makes suggestions and then works her magic. It is so hard to find a great hair stylist and I am SO thankful I found her.

Very helpful, husband-friendly staff. Came here to exchange a red bottle of shampoo for a pink one with no receipt. They somehow had a clue as to what I was trying to do and even found the receipt.

It has been years since I have treated myself to a salon color service. I had the pleasure of having Shawn take care of me today, and I felt at ease and comfortable the entire time. I thought I knew what I wanted (as most people do), but Shawn was able to take my thoughts and transform them into more than I could have ever thought of myself. I am so happy that I listened to his suggestions! I will definitely be calling this salon my new spot, and Shawn is my new guy. Book him ladies!

Ava was amazing from the moment I sat down!! I was skeptical going to Ulta for my hair but I had a wedding and needed a blow out. She convinced me to get a trim also and even enhanced my hair color and made it so shiny. The style was perfect for the wedding that she did but what’s even better is my hair has been awesome since! I have been told my hair looks great almost every day since! I will def be back to see Ava!

I recently went to Ulta in Winter Park for a hair update from Mike Burt. Ive been a customer of Mikes for years as his work product is always outstanding. This visit was exceptional. Mike knew I was looking for a change and had an idea of how to execute before I arrived. The cut he suggested, and I agreed to, nicely framed my face and looks fresh regardless of whether my hair is heat styled or if I opt to air dry. As someone with dark hair, I love that Mike knows how to execute red highlights to perfection. I would absolutely recommend Mike Burt.

Amanda was incredibly helpful and went out of her way to help us find the correct color and texture of a lipstick. Carly was very nice and made sure to help us also. The service was amazing and if it weren’t so far I would make this my go to Ulta.

I had my make-up and hair done for the first time here by Olivia for a wedding that I was attending. She did an amazing job!!! Not only was she super sweet and friendly, but she listened to exactly what I wanted done and was a perfectionist when doing my make-up. I cant say enough good things about her. I was very happy with the results and will definitely be coming back to see her again for any future events!

Shawn has been my stylist for the last 5 years. He is very creative, accommodating and does an amazing job with color. I completely trust his judgment and recommendations as he has always had an exceptional eye for what works best for me from color, cut and style. I enjoy having Shawn take care of me and have developed a great client stylist relationship and call him a great friend.

My mom and I came to the salon because our hair needed a trim and we weren’t happy with our hair color. Anthony did a wonderful job with our haircut and gave us exactly what we wanted! He also gave us a lot of options and helped with our hair color. Our hair was also really dry and he gave us treatment to make it healthier and recommended a shampoo that we will definitely buy! I’ve been going to Shawn for a few months now after being referred from my mom and absolutely love him! He’s a color genius and knows exactly how to achieve/listen to what you want done. He’s usually very busy, so call ahead of time! You won’t regret it!!

Second time in an Ulta and just as bad as the first. Will never go back. Go in and ask for a simple thing and 4 people surrounded me trying to push other products. Left without buying because of their terrible service. I see why their stock is sinking and am likely to short it myself.

This is literally my FAVORITE cosmetics store ever! Ulta has all of the brands you can ask for and is huge (at least in Winter Park). They have many youtubers makeup lines and frangrances. They also have makeup that you would find in a drugstore. The products are anything from hair care to nail polish. If I had the option I would live in Ulta.

I love Ulta, but this particular store made me feel uncomfortable the last time I visited. There were several employees in the makeup section where I was but instead of being helped, I was watched. I felt awkward and rushed, so I left.Whenever I go to any Ulta now I grab a shopping bag so the staff dont think Im stealing. Its annoying because sometimes Im just looking for one thing even though I like to shop around and look at the options.

Friendly team members and the store is clean! Only down would have to be that many items are out of stock.. ☹️

I was a walkin and got lucky to receive Ava. as a hair stylist! She cut my naturally silver hair dry then did the shampoo, touch up cut and blow dry. Great instincts and not overly fussy. I really appreciated her personal yet professional manner too!

I was perusing the curly hair products today, and I ran into a God-sent hair stylist named Anthony. He was the most knowledgeable about curly hair of any stylist I’ve met, and I ended up getting a haircut and eyebrow wax from him that completely transformed my curly hair. He started by analyzing my hair then altering my layers without sacrificing the length with a dry cut, which is at my shoulders. My layers went from an awkward shelf to face-framing and flattering. After the shampoo and conditioner he taught me how to style my curls to prevent frizz and make my curls last for days, and my hair looks incredible now. He is also great with brows, mine went from a hot mess to on point. To anybody in need of curly hair help, I would absolutely recommend him. Thank you Anthony!

Anthony Anthony, if you ever are looking for Orlando’s best highlight stylist he is your guy!! I went into my appointment with no expectations at all as it was my first time with him. However my hair was super damaged and dead, so I really needed a change. He talked me through the entire process and even teached me how to style my hair at home. I am forever grateful I was accidentally put in his chair and I walked out as a new women!

This is a large store that can give you large selection of beauty brands.

Everyone is so helpful at this particular Ulta! I was there to look for contouring stick and staff helped me pick one out, taught a me how to apply it properly with highlighter, also picked out a brush for me for easy apply. Cant ask for more, will always come back!

I’ve gone to this store when their website says they have something in stock, only to find they don’t upon arrival and their interest in assisting further is negligible. Customer service is spotty; they seem to pay more attention to those purchasing from premium makeup lines.

Ultas always great. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Some items were out due to the recent holiday sale but this was expected.

I would like to mention my visits were not during this Holiday season. The visits I mention go back 3 months ago. I really like Ulta; however the one in WP doesnt seem to keep enough product on hand and run out frequently. I visited this store on three different occasions looking for a specific powder make up & they were out all 3 times. Very frustrating. Its difficult to get into the parking lot, and very difficult to find a parking space. With that said, I now choose to go to another Ulta store & they always have plenty of parking & product on hand.

Anthony listened to what I hate about my hair, listened to what I thought I want.. took about two heartbeats and launched into what we should do. I didn’t understand it all, but that’s the beauty of being a client and Anthony being the professional.. lolMy hair ended up beautiful. Finally!!!
