Myself and a friend took the First Shots course together and found it to be very informative and educational. Our instructor, Tony, was a great guy who made the class engaging and fun while keeping us on task the entire time. I will definitely return to make a purchase very soon. Thanks to The Range. Awful experience. You will be forced to sit in a class and waste your time watching videos, then they quiz you on it. After youve wasted the 20 minutes or so you were going to use to shoot your firearm on videos instead, youll finally be directed to the range. Then youll be incessantly bothered and never left alone. You will constantly have a lady coming up and tapping you on the shoulder trying to give you advice, even if youve been familiar with firearms for a long time. Tried going with my wife since she hadnt shot anything before, and ended up being bothered the entire time by staff. If you want a place to go shoot thats relaxing and your not constantly being bothered by them, dont go here, youve been warned. We couldnt even get through one magazine without her trying to fill our heads with all types of nonsense about proper stances and how to pull the trigger on the gun. Dont waste your time here!

Horrible service. Took my rifle in for a handguard swap, their gunsmith destroyed my barrel nut and upper receiver in the removal process. And they broke my optic mount. When I called to discuss it with the owner he took zero responsibility for my broken parts.Edit: Take responsibility and dont blame your inept gunsmithing on the customer. You never once offered me any solution, only excuses. Your staff broke my stuff and you want to blame me. Very professional.

The folks down at the range are extremely polite and professional. Safety is the number one priority. When I come down with my brothers we always feel at home. If you have any questions or if you need any help while on the firing range the range safetys are always wiling to help you out.

I’ve been a long time customer of The Range. I have always found them to be very knowledgeable, their prices great and their selection is awesome. The gun store and range is the nicest I’ve ever been to. They have everything you could ever want in regards to guns, optics, ammo, training even clothing. The staff is super helpful and the owner is a great guy! I highly recommend them.

I have been here multiple times. I came from a much larger community about 3 years ago and was used to the big box gun shops. These guys are hands down the most professional and polite staff I have had the pleasure of dealing with. I reached out to them to help me with an FFL item I needed assistance with. Austin was amazing and was even able to order a specific part for the Zev Tech pistol that I was building. I was actually unaware the part could be ordered separately and in doing so saved me a couple hundred dollars. I will 100% be back to use them again.Side note: Their Cerekote guy is amazing. You should check him out if you want some custom work done on your firearm.

Went here for the first time today with good friends. The staff on site were extremely helpful, gave great advice, and seemed very happy to be there. It’s an excellent environment in which to learn and practice. Ken was especially helpful with trigger technique and another gentleman helped clear a jammed dud twice. I’ll definitely go here again next time I’m in town!

Very helpful and knowledgeable. Its hard deciphering all the B.S. laws that Crazy Jay and Methhead Bob keep throwing into the books, but these guys stay on top of the crazy gun laws. They also have a great indoor range. I sent my mother-in-law and wife in for training, they felt comfortable and gained a lot of knowledgeable.

Staff is great and management takes issues seriously to resolve any issue in a timely manner. Gunsmith department is top notch highly recommended if you ever need any work done!

That’s the only place in Yakima. I will buy anything from. Especially guns they have always been they have always been super nice. And they prices are very decent.

I took in a rifle to get worked on, they finished the next day!!! And forgot to call me to get it for 3 months. And it had some rust from sitting for 3 months. And they didnt offer to give back the parts they took off. And the day I went in, I asked about a AK on the wall and some tall skinny kid said yours is better anyways then ignored me. I woulda spent money and bought a gun but that tall skinny kid working there is an idiot.

All of the staff was very friendly, patient and knowledgeable. For sure a great place to go.

Being a woman I was apprehensive about going to the Range. When I went I met a whole bunch of friendly and wonderful people who made me feel comfortable and welcome. Among them is Range Office Stacey who is a treasure. She has added so much to the overall atmosphere of the Range.

I came in last Friday for the first time looking for a glock 17. Not only did you have multiple, you had the cheapest in town so I of course bought it. I also came in there Wednesday with some gunsmithing questions. I must say that I am extremely happy with the service I have received both times. Your staff is not only friendly and helpful, they are very knowledgeable. I am impressed. Keep up the good work guys!

The only reason i gave them a rating this high is because of the classes they teach, which are a little pricey but are 5 🌟. The instructor was very thorough, knowledgeable, and friendly and corrected you without talking down to you, I will more than likely be taking more training classes. The guy i dealt with in the store on the other hand was a pompous know it all who could only make me feel like i would be throwing my money away for the gun that i wanted to look at. Ive never dealt with a more unprofessional salesman ever. The whole time i was talking to him all he could do was talk down to me and tell me how much of a bad decision i would be making by buying this gun, telling me it was garbage, itll break in a few weeks, Id be wasting my money, then tried selling me another, more expensive gun. I went somewhere else and the salesman there was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable so I bought the same gun from him for cheaper, have had zero issues with it and love it.EDIT: I changed the 🌟 from 2 to 3. Because when the owner saw this he attempted to reach out and call me to find out what the issue was and while i havent touched bases with him he earned some respect, not many business owners would do that.Edit: changed from 3 to 4 🌟. Went in yesterday to see about renting a gun my wife is interested in. She looked at it and talked to the lady about it, she was very knowledgeable and helpful. We then went into the store and they had one in stock for a cheaper price than weve seen anywhere else so we decided to purchase it.

Dave was SO knowledgeable and a really great teacher during my first ever firearm safety class. He was super patient since I knew nothing about any kind of gun. I walked out happy and comfortable with what I learned that day. He also helped me pick out the right gun for me. Such a great experience!!

Worst customer service Ive experienced. Been paying out monthly for the membership. My husband doesnt use it due to change in work and other factors. They wont let us cancel. No one told us it was a yearly commitment when I walked in and asked to sign up. 46 dollars down the drain every month for nothing. When I work so hard in customer service and healthcare to please people every day its really a slap in the face to be treated the opposite here.

I recently purchased a firearm and had it shipped to The Range. It arrived at The Range on june 24th. After I received confirmation the firearm was delivered. I contacted the range and asked if i could come in and fill out paperwork. I was told that it takes several days for the staff at the range to input the firearm into thier system, the staff member that I spoke with was rude and condesending toward me. When I asked why it would be several days to input the firearm. Ultimately I decided to wait the remaining part of the day and check the next day on june 25th.I called on june 25th around 12:30 and to my surprise again I, was told they had not input the firearm in the system and i couldnt complete any paperwork or pay the transfer fee until that had been completed. I again decided to wait until the next day on June 26th.I called on june 26th at 11:00 and was told again they hadnt input the firearm into thier system. At this I asked to speak with the owner of the range. I was told he wasnt there but he would be returning around 1pm. I asked the staff to ask if the owner would contact me when he arrived. After waiting until about 2pm and still not receiving a call back, I decided to call again. Shockingly I there was no progress on my firearm. About 3pm I finally was contacted and told I could come in and fill out the paperwork. When I arrived and started doing paperwork I was informed the transfer fee was 45.00 dollars, thats almost double the price for other gun stores in the area.So If you dont mind being treated rudely and waiting for thier staff while they drag thier feet and pay nearly double the going rate of a transfer fee. By all means do your business with THE RANGE. If not, I recommend any other gun store in town. Personally after this experience if they were the only gun store in town I would go to another county to transfers or purchase a new firearm.I seen on here when looking at other reviews they arent many negative reviews. The one I did notice seems to have very promtly refuted by the owner or range staff, perhaps if they spent as much attention into speaking respectfully to thier customers and getting back to them in a timely manner, they wouldnt need to immediately refute a negative reviewUpdated 7-10-2020I appreciate the prompt response to the review and that you addressed one of three complaints. However the other two complaints still need to be addressed. Rudeness and condesending nature of staff and the nearly double price or 100 percent mark up of a transfer fee.

Took a small work group there this week for the first time visiting and did the VIP range. Some of my group was very inexperienced and our range officer was great with them and helping them out. Very nice, clean facility with great, professional people there. The best indoor experience I have had and the whole group enjoyed it. Will be back.Veterans up front parking too! Small gesture but speaks volumes about the folks there. Thanks!

Decent indoor range and helpful staff. Be prepared for the individual in the lane next to you blowing your ears out with some kind of crazy muzzle break. Very nice VIP range if you have a group or business party.

Very helpful on the range. Nice set up as well. FYI you watch a video for first time in. Rounds are available to buy just before entering in range. Also you can rent just about anything and nothing larger can be fired than .308. Need to call ahead for larger guns. No tracers or armor piercing ammo. Great shop before range as well.

Had 4 hours to kill before a wedding so I decided to go shooting. You know the ranges youve been to with staff thats surly, rental firearms that have a lot of play in their actions / firing pins that have lost their will to live, and an overall atmosphere thats less hey lets shoot some paper and have some fun and more hey let me shove some politics into your face? This isnt one of those ranges. Super friendly people, great rental selection with some really interesting pieces, and reasonably priced. I cant add any more than the other overwhelmingly positive reviews below, but have a look at them and rest assured that theyre all 100% true.

The Range is a top of the line facility that Yakima is lucky to have. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly. If you are looking for a more in depth shooting experience, try their action shooting league! It is a great training experience and fun too!

Clean, well kept range. The staff was friendly and helpful. The business appears to support veterans and law enforcement, which was a great thing to see. The price for a rifle lane wasnt bad either. I was bummed that I couldnt shoot my shotgun though which is why I give The Range a 4.5/5. I dont know about other ranges in WA but Ive been to a couple others out of state that allowed 12ga.

Heres a one-stop shop for all your shooting needs? Look no further, check out the Range! In addition to an amazing shop area where you can get virtually anything you need, they have a shooting area where you can shoot virtually any type of gun! Rifles, shotguns, handguns, etc....you can probably shoot it here! Targets can go up to 30 meters, so this probably isnt the place to do long range sighting on your .50 cal rifle.....but its a ton of fun for handguns and smaller rifles. If you dont own a gun, you can rent all sorts here....You can rent a fully automatic gun! There are 15 total lanes split into two different areas. 12 in the main area and another 3 in the private room. The private room will run you a fair amount extra (its by the hour), but its a cool setup if you have the chance.A couple things to know for someone who has never been here:1. If you choose to rent a gun from the range, you will have to purchase ammo from the range.2. shooting an automatic gun is cool.....but you go through a crazy amount of ammo in no time at all! It gets expensive quickly...3. Only plastic bottled beverages are allowed in the shooting area. If you decide to get some coffee when you walk in (they have an espresso stand), youll have to finish it prior to coming into shooting!4. They have a lot of classes that you can take. I was told their basic firearm class & women and guns are their most popular classes.The range can get a bit expensive (such is the nature of shooting!), but this is the sort of place you would typically find in a major city, not Yakima. Support this awesome local business!

Great new facility, flexible membership options and lots of classes for learning something new. Gun store, gun smith, shooting range, cleaning room and coffee shop all under one roof! They also offer a space for private parties with shooting lanes and a space to eat and relax.

Ive been there a few times first time was a private safety and first time shooter class for the family with Tuck he was great with us all kids really felt safe. It was great and so fun. Weve been back on family nights and its alway fun. The staff is so kool they make you feel like your meeting up with friends but ones that really know what there talking about haha. I hope you give it a try. If you have any doubts or worries this is the place that will answer all your questions and end your worries. So give it a shot im glad we did.

Mike the RSO gave me great tips, pointers, and advice on proper techniques to fire my weapon. Put his advice to the test and instantly saw improvement by 50%. Count me as a customer for life. This is a great range! Very clean and better sound-proofing than other ranges Ive experienced. The staff was helpful (in an un-know-it-all way) and the price for practice rounds was surprisingly affordable.

Terrific staff, more range safety officers than any range Ive ever been at and $20 for a lane for the entire DAY. Also gun rentals, including full-auto, m4 clones, SCARS in 762 and 556, and Vectors. Really first class facility.

You cant find a group of people who are more helpfull. I live an hour and a half away from the range in yakima, and its still the only place i go to get quality gunsmithing and knowledgable work done to my guns. These guys are amazing. I went in the other day with issues on a rifle, and they fixed it for me free of charge... theyre worth way more than they do charge and go out of their way to do right be people. I recommend everyone frequent the range in Yakima.
