Nahd is amazing! I wanted to somehow style my white hair (I am full white, been growing my white out for 2 years) in a fun and beautiful way and she nailed it! Love the chocolate brown color she choose for underneath my white. Great cut too!

The stylists are up-to-date with the current trends and are very knowledgeable about hair care. They also have the best selection of hair supplies, and at reasonable prices.

PLEASE GO TO NAHID she took my hair from drab to fab. She’s super sweet and makes the process super easy. My hair was splotchy and all types of orange and now my hair is a beautiful caramel color with no damage.

Carmine is a such gentleman he got the right Reddish color that I wanna hands-down,I do recommend this place

My daughter brought my grandson to this salon for a trim and he came to my house the next day looking like Edward Scissor hands got a hold of him with the worst chop job Ive ever seen. I get that he is little and may have been moving around, but then you shouldnt let that stylist cut childrens hair. I had to bring him to the salon by my house to get it fixed because he had tufts of hair missing, the top of his hair was all different lengths and the sides were clearly edged wrong as his sideburns are completely gone. Thankfully he is a baby and wont remember this or get bullied in school, but we will remember forever and would not recommend bringing children to this salon. The early 2000s Emo kids called, they want their hairstyle back. I personally wouldnt recommend anyone to go there because the stylist was unsure of herself and gave up half way to the point that they didnt charge full price. Realistically they should not have charged at all.

Theres nothing special about this hair shop at all, except for all the hair products that they sell for your hair. Youd never know it was the salon because its submerged in the back. Customer service is pretty good. Who is Carmine? He used to own 2 of these but no more. It never seems to be busy and Im wondering how many experience people work here. They used to give discount cuts but those were with only newer hair stylists. They have been here for years and used them back in the early 1990s, May to be exact. If was a different place back then. Check if out thoroughly before you go.

Nahed was excellent. I left the salon very happy with my haircut. She listened to my concerns of very fine hair, square face and some hair loss. It has been over two years now that I have been searching for a good stylist and it was an unhappy road. I am going to have her color my hair later.i am a very satisfied customer. Even the women at the front desk are very friendly and helpful.

AMAZING haircut! Wash felt incredible, great scrubbing! Nahid was an amazing hair dresser, gentle brushing for my knotty hair (yet quick and efficient!), quick cut, and my hair is so soft!! Highly recommend her and this salon!!

Just got home after my appointment at Xanadu Haircutters. Im always so happy after I go there. I color my hair and always have it cut and styled. The staff is great and know me by name. My hairdresser suggested a new color for me and Im delighted with it. I have been going there for over 10 years and have never been disappointed.

Well stocked and sales help is knowledgeable. Prices are a bit too high for certain things. Definitely worth visiting if your needs are for cosmetics, wigs/accessories & high end hair products. Full hair salon in back, too. Plenty of free parking is a major plus! Great to have in the neighborhood!

Had all the products but its pricey

My first visit to Xanadu earlier this year was a rescue mission since I had colored my hair at home with the wrong type of product and my hair turned orange. Not knowing any of the colorists at Xanadu I took the first available appointment and that was with Nahid. She corrected the color beautifully so I left the salon feeling not only relieved but also very thankful! Nahid is terrific and is now my go-to colorist: she really does a great job!

I can honestly say that Xanadu has consistently given me a high quality haircut at a affordable cost. Staff is friendly and I can basically get any hair care product that Im looking for since they have a huge selection. If you havent been there yet, I highly recommend checking it out!!

My favorite place to get some hair coloring supplies and their hair stylists are great. You can get a quick basic trim for split end management in just a couple minutes. Plus if theyre busy and theres a wait theres a Barnes and Nobles next door!

Dont bother getting a haircut from Carmine here. Showing him a picture how you wear your hair and when he is done and it is NOTHING like you wanted his answer is They dont wear hair like that anymore so in the meantime I am stuck with a haircut I hate and flat as hell on the top. Have to admit it is the second worst haircut in my life.

I have been shopping here for years for hair color and other hair products. They have products I cant find anywhere else and the customer service is always friendly and helpful.

After a ten year boycott i decided to give it another try. I had washed and flat ironed my hair before walking in so when the hairdresser said she would do a dry cut I was ok with it since I wanted my hair to sit on my shoulder. I think she was just saving time on her part. I asked her to cut about An inch and a half and to trim the front and bangs. She barely cuts a half inch and Im telling her that is not enough., That I want it shoulder length,. She trims again, trims the bangs, holds the mirror and asks is that ok. I knew I wasnt getting anywhere with this fossil . She didnt check her work, I asked if it was straight she said yes. When I checked it at home it was visible crooked. Last bad experience at this place. Walk-ins,. Stay clear. They reserve their worst work (workers) for the walk-in. Walk on by.

They have a huge sign that says Walk-Ins welcome so, I walked in and waited for 12 minutes.. no one in the back cutting hair. I was told that the person taking care of walk-ins went to the deli to get something to eat and will be back in maybe 10 minutes!! Are you kidding me? Will not return!!!!

Loved what they done to my hair

Went to the Xanadu Hair cutters & Beauty Supply downtown, had a pleasant experience but the haircut was eh.And it was from someone that everyone recommended.BUT then i went to the one on 57th and met the owner, Rodney.He was AMAZING very pricey for a ens haircut but WELL worth it.Made me feel like a model.

Very bad service. Went for a full wash of color and it came out patchy and uneven. I will have to get my hair redone elsewhere. Unprofessional and will not be returning.

I keep trying to give this place the benefit of the doubt but my family and I hate this place. From bad haorcuts, to having to tell the stylist (who has been there forever) how to do the cut I wanted, to the rude staff, I finally give up. Dont recommend them at all.
