Like this place for breakfast. I ordered a bacon egg cheese on a bagel. Was Delish. Service was slow from the guys but really like the kitchen workers service. Fast and efficient.

I cant say much about this place because all Ive had every time I come is breakfast options are they are always really really good.Service is always on point, the management is very attentive, friendly, polite and the waiters and waitresses are too!!!Portions are huge, I never finish my plates without my boyfriends.I have to emphasize that their coffee is one of the best diners coffees youll find. I have been to other diners and their coffee tastes like dark socks water but theirs tastes like homemade, delicious, fresh coffee and thats one of the things that matter the most to me when coming to a diner, GOOD COFFEE!!!!!!!!!I dont understand the other bad reviews, never have had a bad experience here, never had tasted bad food here, never experienced a bad vibe, love love love this place!!!

Is this diner the best kept secret in Yonkers or is it just me? My husband and I discovered Raceway Diner after leaving Empire Casino. The food and service is so amazing we ate two days in a row and brought my sister the next day. We live in Harlem. Just a 15 minute ride. Directly across from Empire Casino entrance. 🤞🥙🥘🍛🍲🥖🥞🌯🤞

A pretty nice place, a small diner. I enjoyed the food, but sadly I didn’t feel rushed. Staff kept on coming over to the table to see if I was done eating, and they cleared away preach as soon as they were empty. I understand there was a line, it just felt like their goal was more fast food than sit down restaurant. I will go back, but hopefully during a slower time.

I come from the Bronx all the way to RaceWay diner. From the minute you walk in everyone is polite the waitress we had was wonderful. The food is great. My brother and I had a great time. I will recommend this to others. Have a blessed day and thank you.

The food used to be better. Service is still great. Place is clean. Ordered eggs over easy, they were over hard. They were smaller than usual as well. The toast was rubbery and home fries had no peppers or onions in it. Disappointed.

Decent service. Food was very home style. Delicious and not fatty/greasy. We had the pork sovalaki with greek salad where i really appreciate the stuffed grape leaves that complimented the meat. We also tried the Irish burger where the 1st taste was a true experience. The burger tasted like it was a combo of meats which was great! And once again nothing was greasy. The fries were crunchy and perfect. The slaw tho.... ugh oh man. Sucks its one of my favorite compliments to a burger. The overall experience was great. We decided to drop in after a trip to the Bronx from NJ. Due to the ratings online. I gave 4/5 for the poor slaw and the desert options were all stale looking. Unfortunately we wil be heading out to a local dessert spot near home. I will tho stop by again for more Irish favs from this location. See ya soon!

Before the pandemic food was good...Since reopening to the public, food was terrible... eggs and bacon hard and cold, steak tough... hopefully, business will pick up and food will get better. Establishment still clean and spacious.

Hmmm, my husband got the Sirloin Steak and eggs, I got the Ham and eggs w/ hashbrowns... the service was good but the food was half-half... I should have gone to DD.

Raceway is your basic diner experience, great variety of edible food for reasonable prices and they keep the coffee coming!!

Met up with friends at this diner. Loved it. They have jukeboxes at the table. Staff was friendly and the food was delicious. I had an amazing shrimp and scallop salad. I will be going back.

We’ve done take out more than eat it, but both options were delicious. I love me a good breakfast so when we first moved, my mission was to find my diner breakfast go-to and I think I found it! I’m a big eggs, bacon, home fries type of gal. I was a bit disappointed that they didn’t have hashbrowns :( but the home fries made up for it. When we ordered takeout, we had bacon, egg and cheese in heros- they were pretty good.I think our experience has been a solid 4/5.

Old favorite and the food was fresh and the place is spacious. Great service and prices are average. Definitely a go-to when in the area.

Its a good diner. Exactly what you expect from a diner. My only complaint was that the table was a little sticky, but they apologize and moved us to a new table.

Visiting from capital region, we stopped in at 9 pm with a very hungry and soaking wet teen after his soccer match in the pouring rain at nearby Tibbetts Park. Host and waiter were gracious and brought hot coffee right away. Breakfast after 9 pm is just what we needed. Generous and tasty portion were perfect to fill us up for the 2.5 hour ride back upstate. When next in Yonkers, will be sure to stop by again. Oh, I almost forgot. I ordered a piece of the bread pudding to go. It, too, is outstanding!

This is what a diner should be. You wont find any crazy fusion recipes here, just very well prepared basics using quality ingredients. The staff is friendly, quick, and attentive. Ill definitely be back for more.

My wife and I have been eating at this diner for years but today had to be the worst breakfast we’ve had there the bacon was burnt the pancakes tasteless my wife ordered eggs over medium they were over cooked. I hope it will improve there we enjoy having breakfast at this location

This diner is fantastic! The food was delish and the service was excellent. I had two pancakes, scrambled eggs, 2 pieces of bacon, 2 sausage, and 2 cups of decaf coffee with cream. My husband had the same but with eggs over easy and 2 cups of regular coffee. We also shared homefries. The portions were large so we had to take most of it to go. We could have shared one order. Diner food is usually decent and nothing to brag about but Raceway Diner is on another level. Everything was well-prepared and just so good. Our waitress was super attentive and very friendly. Great experience!

Great Diner, probably a landmark for the amount of times it has been around Yonkers. Great diner food and a very nice staff and management. As you can see walking steps to the Empire Casino. Why pay $30 bucks for s burger when you can have one across the street at the Raceway diner. “Believe me the casino will take enough of your money!

We came to the diner after visiting Empire Casino across the street. The sign outside stated the restaurant was voted best diner 12 years in a row and we can truthfully say it is the best diner ever! The service was excellent. Food was delicious. Our waitress Norma was great, Bill made the worlds best Pina Coladas and gave the twins (Mom and Aunt) a delicious birthday dessert. Outstanding customer service. We highly recommend this diner to everyone!

Ive been here twice before, with no problem with their food.But I visited now recently on Saturday May 22nd and the food was horrible myself and my friend COULD NOT eat it, at all.I had ordered Todays Special of the Day which happen to be roast beef in a bad tasting tomato sauce. I told them I couldnt eat it. They exchanged it for chicken, and the chicken was even worse. It tasted dry and like old food. Because that food i wouldnt even give it to a dog!I think they are under new management because I never had such a bad experience there before. The food was fine before. But now it was un-edible. I will no longer be coming back.

First time visiting this location, and I must say very disappointed. Eddie our waiter was not pleasant at all. Did not introduce himself, took the order walked away and after almost an hour of waiting I had to make our presence known. I asked about our food since a few customers that were in line after us had received their order already his nonchalant reply “well we are very busy” and felt like debating and went on to say “ they were here before you”.... Finally received our order, not once did he ask if we were pleased with our food and or if anything else was needed. Which I wanted to place an order to go along with desert, but after the lack of customer service I decided not to.I proceeded to check out saw the manager informed him of the disappointment on the customer service and to my surprise his reply was “I won’t apologize for his behavior maybe he is just overwhelmed”, as if this is the proper excuse for an employee working with the public and the representation of a business.

The food came out quick and service with a smile. What more could you ask for?

Absolutely love this place, very clean, food is top tier and honestly it has to be. Located across from the Yonkers Raceway its got a big reputation to keep, all servers and waiters are super nice, food is amazing and is always super quick!

Food is so good me ans my fiance show up before doors open every week on sunday mornings and order the same thing every single time. The belgian waffles are definitely a reccomendation and the orage jui e should come in pitchers since its so delicious....was this good enough to get a free meal manager 😉

I wish I could have given a zero star this was the worst breakfast-food. The service was just as bad as the food. I came because of all of the positive reviews posted and I just dont see what others saw. This is a picture of the under cooked turkey bacon and horrible corned beef hash which was more beef than hash... Yuck... And when asked for a replacement I was told it was already made and the waitress was not very nice about. Dont waste your time or money if youre hungry..

Not a fan at all nothing had flavor or taste..tasted like it was frozen ND reheated 😔 This was not my first time eating here, and like most people I dont expect much on the first visit. BUT this right here was extremely disappointing the mash and turkey was completely BLAND and the turkey was very thick. To top it off the gravy didnt help it was turkey gravy which I did not enjoy one bit. For me this place is a hit or miss and this was def a miss for me. MY last visit I had meatloaf and mahs, and my BF had chicken Parm. Needless to say that was a OK experience but dont think ill be back for a while. They do have a great menu so to each its own.

Great breakfast! Food was good.

Not a big deal. The food is lesser diner food quality. No special taste or anything great on the menu. Servers arent friendly but seem annoyed that youre at their table. The cakes are stale. If youre handicap and need to use the bathroom dont bother. The doors arent wheelchair friendly. Also the tables arent protocol cleaned with turnover of customers.

Well where do I start! I found a long black hair in my water, and my bacon smelled like a wet dog !! And I’m sorry there should be a law for servers to NOT wear perfume or cologne, it’s just nauseous, horrible food and atmosphere, people just don’t care

This is a nice diner, is always clean as far as Ive noted & the food is good. Theres usually a line waiting to get in to sitdown eat but as long as its not that long Ill wait. The staff is very nice as well, which is very important.

Literally just left there half an hr ago after ordering waffles and eggs and i found a hair in my egg it was a long thick hair so who ever is cooking there isnt using proper practices and im disgusted never going back

I discounted a star because, the person who was cleaning, then served our utensils and napkins with their bare hands which I never saw him go to the rest room and wash. He couldve worn gloves. Speaking of restroom, theres only one stall for everyone. But I must say its kept very clean. The cashier is constantly cleaning everything. Thats a plus

I live on Long Island but am originally from Yonkers. The last time I ate at this diner was sometime in the 80s. I dont remember how it was way back then but I was certainly impressed with service and attention I received,Food quality was very good. I met Bill, the manager on duty and thanked him for a great experience.

I had not been here in many years. Very nice staff. I sat at the counter. Ruben sandwich very good.
