The doctor is excellent. My exams are always thorough, everything is explained well, and I know that my eyes are well taken care of each year. The admin team is always friendly and efficient. Customer service has declined in the eyeglasses/retail department since Covid, though, and I am feeling increasingly unwelcome by them. In October 2020, they were distracted and overwhelmed, which is understandable. My glasses were delivered to me dirty and with wobbly, loose frames.This month, they seem simply unfriendly. Certainly, they are not happy or even kind when they could not sell me new frames, or upgrades to my prescription. I’ll probably return here for my exams, yet I will consider going elsewhere for prescriptions and frames.

They entered me into their system as male despite me indicating otherwise during intake. Their staff continuously misgendered me during my visit, and the optician kept trying to push me to masculine frames despite me making it clear I was only interested in feminine styles. Overall the whole visit made me feel humiliated

I am from Texas here for my honeymoon when the arm came off of my glasses. They were more than willing to help me out to repair my glasses without any fuss. I would highly recommend this place just based off of their wonderful customer service alone.

Told us one price, gave an eye exam to my daughter, then charged us a higher price. Did not give her prescription to us, then sent a bill for another $50. I suggest you walk away as soon as they go back on their word. Wasted time and money for absolutely nothing

Wonderful! They had great customer service and made sure that my prescription was correct and answered all of my questions. They are great with all their health precautions during the pandemic and are making the visits safe. Also they are LGBTQI friendly and very nice to everyone 🏳️‍🌈

My husband and I have both been happy with the service weve received at Accent on Vision East: kind and friendly staff and appointments that run on time. In particular we have been very happy over the past 10 months as they have walked our elementary-age child through therapy for a lazy eye. The doctor took the time to learn about our child and adjusted her approach to help them feel as comfortable as one can when having to wear an eye patch and getting new prescriptions regularly.

The staff were friendly and very cautious with covid. That was an upside. But the women who helped me with glasses seemed to have an attitude and was acting as if helping me was a hassle. Her attitude also got worst when I said I wouldnt spent 500 dollars on one set of basic glasses with no add ons and would order online. They never gave me my prescription and Ive called for 3 days and still cannot get a hold of anyone to get it.

I was one of the first customers to come out of the Covid-19 pandemic in to the office . I was told it would take 5 to 10 buisness days to receive my glasses that cost over $300 . I call on the 10 th buisness day and am told 14 buisness days . I call on the 14th and am told they cannot find my glasses and theres basically nothing they can do other than make me wait another month and still will not guarantee my glasses will be there. Ive waited at this point a whole month for glasses without being able to see . Im told I need to wait another 15 buisness days one month total for my glasses . So two months total and they still cant guarantee my glasses will be there at all . I had to argue for compensation and they barely covered the lenses thats it ! Nothing else did they do for me ! Its so upsetting to go through a professional buisness and have them tell you they lost your glasses or the manufacturer lost them . I call the manufacturer and they tell me that accent on vision never actually sent the frames to them to work on. So basically my frames I paid for are nowhere to be found they got stolen in transit! Either way this is the worst experience ever with an eye glass company . How can they lose glasses from over 10 patients and expect that everyone be okay with waiting to see ? We paid you ! We gave you our money ! We trusted you Accent on Vision east . How could you not have compensation prepared for a situation like this ? Ill never go back for eye care at accent on vision why would I so they can lose my frames again and tell me they are on back order from the maker, they dont have any of the frames you ordered, you need to pick out a new frame ? I am so upset with this place they make me sick to my stomach never again !!!!!They claim my frames were lost in transit which I have the hardest time believing. Accent on vision east could Only take 70 off for my lenses being stolen barely!!!!! After I pay over 300 they can only take off 70 ?! Are you kidding me ?!The manager said the manufacturer took off the money not even accent on vision so basically in no way did accent on vision give me any compensation for my glasses being stolen ! Ive never lost trust in an optical buisness but Im losing hope in accent on vision my go to for years !!!

First time patient. I was greeted nicely upon arrival and, after signing in, had time to look over the frame selection before being seen. The specialist for the initial eye exams was professional. Dr. Fuemmeler got down to business; checking my vision and taking the time to answer all my questions. From the front desk, to the assistants, to the frames specialist, and of course, the doctor, I was very pleased with my visit. After living in Albuquerque 20+ years I have finally found an eye doctor I like and trust.

I am a truck driver who had his glasses broken at an assault at a truck stop. They understood the predicament I was in not being able to drive, and not being from albuquerque. In under two hours they fit me in on a Friday. Got my glasses ordered, and a set of contacts fit to keep me rolling. 10/10 would recommend anyone use them for your optometry needs.

Everyone I interacted with (about 6 different people) were really pleasant. Thats something thats rather hard to accomplish in my opinion. Usually when you interact with that many different people someone wont be as friendly as the rest but at Accent Vision East everyone made me feel very welcome. As a new patient the whole thing too about an hour, which was about to be expected. After I had finished filling out my paperwork ~15min I had barely started browsing at the frame selection when I was called back. The longest wait I had was on the doctor which even then was only about 5-10min so not terrible at all. I did not stay to pick out frames but am planning to go back. The ladies working that area were also super friendly. All in all everyone was very professional and made sure to take care of all my concerns. I would high recommend them.

Had a great experience took both of my kids. They were flexible with my schedule. Very kind and curtious staff. Knowledgeable staff answered all of my questions fully. Clean environment with a good selection of glasses as well as option of contact lenses.

Ive been going to Accent on Vision since I was 13 (9 years!) and have always had a wonderful experience. The staff is always lovely and supportive about my very particular needs when shopping for frames and go out of their way to help me find a pair Ill love. :)

Just had my first visit. Everyone was very pleasant, but felt very rushed. This was my first ever eye exam and I was really nervous - I even told them so. I really wish that they had taken the time to walk me through everything a little more and that the Dr. didnt seem so rushed. The whole thing made me feel even more anxious. Based on the exam, I found out that I needed glasses. This is a BIG deal to someone who has never worn glasses before. I dont think that they got that it can be an emotional thing, or maybe they were just too busy to really notice.

Dr. Fuemmeler is a great Eye Doctor. I really appreciate the time she spends with me, and that she explains issues with my eyes and answers all my questions. I trust her as she has been able to help me with my vision challenges.

Was able to get same day appointment even though they were initially fully booked. Receptionist called when there was a cancellation and was able to get us in. Fabulous!

The eye care that I have received during this time has been exceptional; Dr. Fuemmeler has always explained the issues with my eyes and my vision and has answered all of my questions. Scheduled an appointment for me and my daughter. When we arrived the person at the desk informed me that we had recently rescheduled for two week later. I denied the change and showed him the email confirmation that they had sent to me for this day. I received a shrug and somebody changed it. No chance of the appointment being fulfilled. Luckily I was able to contact another shop and they made room for us.Guess which one gets my business?

We arrived for my daughters appointment fifteen minutes prior to our appointment time and had to wait because there were three people waiting to be seen ahead of us. The appointment was extremely rushed and we were not able to spend sufficient time with the doctor. The staff could not explain or answer questions about billing or insurance. We were hurried out the door without answers or instructions for care of our new contacts.We were charged and had to pay for items that our insurance clearly covered, and an extra test was performed that cost an additional $50. We were not informed of the extra cost of this test.I was charged $90 for a visit that should have been covered by a $10 copay. I was refunded $25 of the difference after several phone calls and complaints. I intend to tell everyone I know to stay far away from Accent on Vision East. I feel ripped off.

My sons new glasses were badly broken, and Accent was very helpful in getting them replaced. The employee who answered the phone went out of her way to check insurance and warrantees and helped us get a good price on the replacement pair. Thanks Accent!

Dr. Fuemmeler is extremely good yet mellow about it. I have unusual astigmatism that some optometrists cant deal with, but Dr. Fuemmeler totally gets it. All the staff are wonderful - I couldnt hope for a better optometrist/optician experience.

I took my $400.00 pair of glasses back because the lenses were not lined up correctly within the frame. I received them back and nothing was repaired on them. I dont know what lab they use, but I am not happy. The doctor was great, staff was okay, but I am very disappointed in their finished product.

I recieved a prescription from this location. It had a clear expiration date on it. When I saved enough money to use it I was denied. I showed the prescription to Walgreens and they said there was nothing they could do ( even though it isnt expired yet ) because they called my dr. and she overruled it. Why even put a date on it in the first place if it isnt honored? Im just worthless garbage to these people because I couldnt afford to buy from them immediately.

Accent on vision east- Friday 11/11- I received a ton of phone calls re: my Mondays 11/14 10 a.m. annual eye exam. Which I had made the same day last year. After confirming the appointment several times, & still receiving msgs. to call, I called. I spoke to a very nice young woman on the phone who explained that my insurance only covered once every 3 years, so Mondays appointment was pay out of pocket or cancel, I opted to cancel.When I was on that same call, I told the rep. that I was told my insurance plan covered a 1 time lost replacement pair of glasses, and that Id like to elect to use that, being my glasses were lost. The rep put me on hold while she looked up my coverage and confirmed that I had the correct information.. She said that she would put in the order for me, and the call was ended.Now today Monday a.m. 9:00 a.m. I called the optometrist back re: a slew of text msgs. stating I was over due for what I thought was my canceled appointment for the previous day. I was told that the automated system had generated them, which was fine, and I asked when I would be able to pick up my replacement glasses. The woman put me on hold and quickly came back to say that my RX as expired and that she could not request for my replacement pair on a expired RX. I asked her when the date was that the RX expired, She told me it was on 11/12/2016. The day after id requested them. I told the girl that Id requested it prior to the expiration date, and that I dont understand why Im being penalized for being within my plans coverage. the girl offered a $60.00 coupon on a new eye exam, but that there was nothing she was going to do re: my order Id placed Friday of last week. I again asked her for the dates of the expiration just to make sure, and again, I was correct! Frustrated, I asked a final time- If someone didnt put in for my replacement pair, was Accent on vision east seriously intending to hold me liable for their mistake. I after all was not an employee there! Because Accent Vision easts elected personal had left prior to the location closing for business Friday, & my RX and insurance expired the very next day, Saturday. Accent vision east refuses to uphold what was within my rites for replacement glasses, now only refuse to do anything except tell me NO!!! and offer me a crap coupon that wont barley cover a fraction of what a new pair of glasses with a non-expired exam will cost.

Dr. Fuemmeler is professional, thorough, and staff is very friendly! They look into insurance benefits and give you prices beforehand so that helps a lot when making decisions about purchasing glasses or contacts.

Dr. Renee Fuemmeler is amazing. Ive been wearing contacts for several years been seen by many doctors over the years and have never came across a doctor so driven. Even though I didnt have an appointment with her personally. My husband did and his situation is more compklex and I have accompanied him by many eye doctors and specialists and seen them do what they can and send him on his way or in circles... very costly circles. Dr. Renee Fuemmeler took so much time and effort to do all that she can. She still referred my husband to a well know specialist and a second opinion and Dr. Renee Fuemmeler nailed her diagnoses. Saving us so much time and money.
