This place was once owned by a really cool guy. Since changing ownersbip the computers, restrooms and overall quality have not been maintained. I have been a customer since day 1 of Golden Gun Gaming and it saddens me to see it in this state. I went in today with hours on my account, but I forgot my wallet (Im currently in a wherlchair and figuring things out.) The new owner refused to let me use one of the headsets because I did not have 50 cents. I have obviously spent money and am not just loitering. This is how you lose loyal customers. Its also a dark, quiet, unconventional atmosphere. At one time I ranted and raved about Golden Gun and now I wouldnt recommend it to anyone.

Honestly a great location, Im disappointed I didnt know if it sooner!!! Xbox, PC, Playstation and more to choose from!!! Highly recommended for all ages too.

So to anyone that thinks it’s closer due to COVID-19 no they are open from 3pm to 10pm with maximum capacity of 20-25 people at once I believe besides that misunderstanding this place is great for people that don’t have a perfect gaming pc or a console of their own like myself I play on Xbox a lot at home but I play league on a laptop but if u want an even better experience go to golden gun their computers are in top shape and sometimes there are problems but if there is they refund it most the time and keep it hours for next time it really helps with whether or not someone wants to get a pc or a console as well

Awesome staff and games. Price is reasonable for an all day pass. Staff will even play games with you if they are not needed.If youre looking for some where to relax and just play games the I highly recommend Golden Gun Gaming or its other location Raid Knights Gaming on Montgomery. Both locals are owned by the same person.

This is one of my favorite places to take my kids when I need to do some computer work. I buy a few hours of gaming (desktop or console) and they just play away. The clientele is not too rough and the kids can have fun while Im nearby. They have a small selection of snacks and drinks and there are a few walking-distance restaurants nearby. During the weekend Golden Gun has late-night hours. Perfect for the night owl like me. The wifi is sometimes slow during peak hours, but overall a great place for gaming.

The place is pretty cool... once you get set up. I’m an avid gamer and for a gaming lounge the hardware is... ok. It works and that’s about it. The staff was very hands off until I had been having issues for an hour. I brought my own keyboard and mouse to use and almost none of their ports worked. Hopefully they redo some of the computers. Honestly I wouldn’t mind paying a higher price for special access to these.

Came here for my birthday and it was amazing but the staff are slow to responding. Like imagine your playing a game for about a hour then you wanted to trade for a different game. It almost takes around 5 minutes just to get a staff to noice you. But theyre mostly nice when you get to know them better. So I really recommend going here. But just in case bring a laptop. Your time really slips by fast.

This place is fine if you like playing on expensive machines that can only play free to play games. If you own your own digital licenses of any pc game you can play it. But do not plan on bringing anyone other than 1 friend to this place if you want to play anything together. They only own so many licenses for each paid for game. It is great if you are a solo player, but not so much fun if you want to have a real competition. If the game is a free to play game then all of you can play side by side. But I thought the whole idea of this place was for gamers to play absolutely any game with friends. It is barely up and running but it at least has the core idea down. Solo single player online gaming. It is a very popular spot.

It’s alright I guess if you like getting money scammed from you not really worth the price. The computers are slow and always taken up plus the time system they have is weird. In my opinion if you want a good time for the money go to Raid Knight Gaming lounge best place with new computers.

DO NOT GO HERE.Headsets do not have mics, spent 30 minutes waiting for a game to update, headsets and controllers do not appear to be cleaned in between users, staff irritated with me when asked to troubleshoot issues with their gaming equipment on start up.Black walls and no lights makes this place feel super sketchy. no enforcement of foul language.BYO alcohol and loud obnoxious public intoxication is apparently acceptable behavior here. Staff refused to throw out the drunk out after I complained because he was friends with the owner.I will NEVER bring my kids here again. 👎👎

Awesome prices, if you buy a day pass. the rigs are pretty too notch and they do a good job keeping the games and pcs updated. good social environment to just chill and play games alone or with friends.

Love this place. Great atmosphere and all around vibe. Only thing I would complain about it the lack of computers compared to their busy days. But 90% of the time there are pleanty of computers to use.

By far the worst bathrooms Ive ever seen in public. Pretty sure they havent been cleaned in months, if not longer. Be afraid. Be very afraid. I dont know how some people can live like this. Never use the bathroom I suppose.

Great place with great staff. Theyve got plenty of PCs, consoles, and games. Great way to spend a weekend. The bathrooms are a little under par though.

Do not come here. Very false advertisement. The hardware is barely tolerable. The computers get 50 fps at best (if the computer works), there is no VR, the employee was too busy playing his own PC that he didnt care for new customers coming in and most of the equipment is broken. If you come to this establishment all you will get is gum stuck under tables, greasy controllers and terrible customer service. I didnt even stay for the full time I paid for it was such a horrible experience. I wish I could get my money back. Such a disappointment.

Plenty of games its always packed. My kids are still little so the environment isnt always for them. The gamers cuss and smoke vape pens, on a weekend evening Id rather bring them to a more family friendly place.

This is the only gaming place in abq so get ready to total be takin advantage of, if you happen to be a regular you arent valued at all. Anytime theres a tournament they will put you on the back burner even if you come daily cause well they dont care about how much money you spend here your not valued at all. No pcs will be available to you or consoles if youd like to play you have to pay again, i already pay 80 dollars a week to come here and now i cant even play what i paid for i have to pay again. Dont come here in fact make a better place.

This place is fun when everything works out. Been there twice now. The first time they were having trouble getting me an account and getting it connected to the computers. The next time we went the Wi-Fi was completely out and there were 2 big parties going on so we immediately left. This place would be amazing if they got those kinks worked out.

!!!!Really dirty bathrooms!!!!!!First off, this is not a place that repairs consoles, so I dont know what that review is about. This place is great, super cheap place to hang out with friends and play some games. They have so many here, not only PC games, but consoles as well. The staff is very friendly and if you have a problem they fix it. Once I ran out of time towards the end of a game and they game me free time just to finish. My only problem here is that the girls bathroom is kind of dirty.

If I could give less than 1 star I would, we showed up at 5 and bought 3 hours (fyi they raised there prices from 12 to 16 dollars for 3 hours) We tried to get on into fortnite and it wouldnt update. We spent 1 hour and 30 minutes trying to find a computer. My friend finally finds one that works but someone was already logged in and he couldnt switch the user, and he later finds out he cannot connect his controller to it. So he tries 3 more computers and finds one that works with his contoller and fortnite. I get that dude logged out that was already logged in already and I get that computer. We can finally play and we only have 50 minutes left. We were trying to qualify for the fortnite world cup that was the only reason we went. Now we only have 50 minutes to play. We play 3 games and get 23 points which is good if we could play the 7 games we have left. We got some kills and decided to leave to get another game in. My friends PC was getting like 20 frames the whole game it was unplayable. We only had 15 minutes left so we asked the guy if we could just finish the game after all this trouble he said we have to buy a whole other hour. So we do and play the last game we end with 28 points cause my friend was lagging so bad and I was alone. The customer service is horrible the workers play the games as well so they give you short answers and dont help at all. I have gone here 3 times in the past and it was fine but it has turned into trash. Never going again!

This definitely a great place to go to and play if you like video gaming especially with friends. Now the place isnt as nice but has its pros. Cons would be the computers are lacking as sometimes they arent all up to par but its expected as this center wasnt sponsored so many of the computers could have lag. I usually see helpful staff but sometimes it does seem that they dont care or possibility they dont pay attention so just be patient. I always recommend all employees focus on the customer and especially days of tournaments bring it 2-3 extra hands and have the employees educated on whats going on.Also be mindful of busy times and it might become a crazy mess but I always go early and stay all night. The place is a bit dark and some people really go insane with the vape and becomes kinda unpleasant. Also the bathrooms are lacking (nothing that cant be fixed).My first time was at a tournament and i recommend that everyone sign in ONCE and keep that account to play on just switch out players (especially overwatch), I remember we had to wait on our tourney but it was fine as we waited. also again keep employees informed and have extra help on hand.To;drAgain this place is great to go but be mindful of the environment, some computers might not be that great so look out for that, be patient with the employees and hopefully they will give good customer service and overall pick a time to go to where it isnt busy so internet isnt bottlenecked (still ok ping at busy times).Good luck and GG!

Spent 3 hours trying to get into a game. Xboxs dont connect to each other and pc wont load games. Staff isnt helpful and doesnt know how to fix. Place is dirty and there was blood on the floor. Dont plan on going back.

First experience here was not great. They were hosting an Overwatch tournament. The Facebook page said to show up at 11:30am for signup, but the doors were locked until after noon. Only a single employee was there to facilitate, so it took over an hour to even get the tournament started, and the employee was fairly rude and seemed totally unconcerned with the event. There were also issues with the tournament itself; games crashed, and apparently Blizzard wasnt notified about the event, so switching accounts on the IP address caused the game to be locked out, forcing yet another long delay. I otherwise enjoyed the atmoshpere

Worst experience ever, site sand sign in say 12 is opening time, yet 40 minutes still standing here with several kids for a birthday party. What’s the point of scheduling a party when the staff or owners are not available to open the business.

Updated review : if Ive been here 12 times they were open at the correct time 3 out of those 12, not very reliable opening times but they got comps and keyboards so thats something

If you’re going to play on a console or PC, be my guest! The only problem is that it seems the employees are a bit unknowledgeable. I went for a Super Smash Bros Tournament—having called earlier to confirm that afternoon—but when I walked in, the employees were unsure about whether it was happening. In the end, the tournament never happened.
