Gabriel the puller was super helpful (and cheerful) getting lots of trees, mulch and compost into my truck in just the right way so I could get everything home without damage. Plant World has the best plants and trees in the region. Great prices, good stock, wide selection, and exceptionally helpful staff.

Buyer Beware! I bought 3 dwarf blue Atlas cedars, planted them all in the same manner, treated them the same. 2 look fine but a couple of weeks after being in the ground, 1 was beginning to lose needles in the center of the trunk and now, 3 months later, the top half has completely lost its needles. But the other two show no signs of this problem. My issue is that their policy is no refunds and no exchanges after theyve been planted. They will have someone call to help diagnose the problem (which didnt even happen). This was quite an investment and I could see the need for their policy but the fact that I bought 3 of these trees, all planted the same, tells me that the one is diseased and they should at least replace it.

Plant World is by far the best place in Albuquerque for plants, trees, flowers and advice. Their customer service is superb, selection is amazing and prices are unmatched. Absolutely worth the membership.

Purchased a very large tree thinking it was a head start but they dont tell you and you learn too late is that a larger tree almost always will have a stunted growth and a smaller tree will out grow it in about 5 years time. Purchased a second smaller tree during winter, I picket it out because of the symmetrical branches, now in spring one hold side is dead and will never return. I have to dig it up and start over. Bottom line is trees from Plant World are not properly harvested for replanting, they cut vital roots all the time when they remove them. Buyer be ware .. a 1,000$ lesson.

Shopping for plants should be an enjoyable experience. Each time Ive shopped here, its been frustrating and disappointing. They do have a huge selection of plants at good prices, many which you wont find elsewhere, but things are just thrown wherever and can be difficult or impossible to find. Its great that their website shows what they should have on hand, but its no guarantee that its correct and the staff will send you all around the property before admitting that they probably dont actually have any despite what the inventory claims. The staff seem to be tied to their water wands and are not able to help find items. Many of the plants are not kept in their ideal location (coral bells in full sun, for example), and it shows with how bad they look.I want to love Plant World, but it the customer experience needs to be improved. It has so much potential.

I love this place! I love their plant selection. They carry happy frog products and other really high quality organic fertilizers in small sizes.

I went back to Plant World after my 1st visit and bought some Park Grass Seed. The gentlemen that helped us also explained how to lay the grass seed down and recommended some Fox Farm Boomerang to help bring a couple of my evergreen trees back.The prices are perfect!

I feel so bad for the pullers that have multiple things going on. I see 2 pullers doing all the work getting called on their radios while the one who was extremely rude for no one reason and another we’re sitting at the front the rest of the time I was there. Canceled my membership and warning everyone I know not to come here. Their are people who will appreciate a job and won’t feel the need to be rude to other people for no reason and actually earn their money.

Heard about this place from a friend and so glad I called and then went by because they had the best selection Ive ever seen and its a big place so I wasnt tripping over people and plants everywhere. Everyone was nice and Dane was very knowledgeable and helpful. The one time fee is inconsequential because plants are cheaper there. I got two trees, a lavender, and root stimulator much cheaper than the other places I used to go to. Ill be back for some vines, etc soon. Oh yeah, great location too!

Clear there is little care paid to the plants, low quality. Every section had several plants that were dying/dead. You can tell this a place contractors use to lower their costs

Im hopping mad. I spent approximately $700 on Redbud trees and another $500 on compost, stakingand, an independent planting arrangement by one of Plant Worldss employees to plant the trees I bought 2 Oaklahoma Redbuds 2 1/2. One of these 2 survived and the other was dead by next season. I bought another Oaklahoma Redbud 2 1/2 and now its dead on one side. I called Plant world and told them about the Trees. They simply said, W do not have a guarantee on our trees. Too bad. I do have a guarantee...I will never buy anything from Plant World again. I know it must be a drop in the bucket but they sure missed out when I took my $2000 budget elsewhere this season. If a business cant stand behind their materials or products, they should not be in business. Or, that attitude may take care of it all by itself.

Theres better in Albuquerque, these people are sleezy and you can tell they dont know much about plants. They are extremely friendly but sadly dont know much of what they are doing or selling.

I was concerned seeing some of the comments but Jen was super nice and helpful.I do wish the site was a bit more upfront about the membership fee vs public pricing and the fact they offer delivery in town for $99. Given the size of the tree it was cheaper to be a member and easier to have it delivered.

Curbside pick up is a great concept, and much appreciated at this time. However, when they call and tell you your order will be ready in 40 minutes, dont count on it. Double that time before you even head to the nursery. And, when they assure you they have something, dont count on that either. I am so disappointed in the service right now, not sure I will shop there again. So if you are going to try curbside pick up, set your expectations really low - and then go a little lower than that. The people in the office are great = that is the only good thing I can say right now.

This place has a huge selection of very healthy plants. Their staff is helpful and friendly the service is great! The only compromise with Plantworld is the hours...they are very short. Definitely my favorite landscaping place.

There are many options of plants, trees, shrubs and vegetables. The staff is friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There is an option of becoming a member for life, which allows the purchase price of wholesale. The cost for membership is$25, as of today.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. DO NOT purchase from this company if you are looking for quality or good customer service. After making thousands of dollars in a purchase of a product that turned out to be poor quality and broke after only 8 months of owning it and caring for it with the exact instructions provided, I was told that there was no Lead Manager to speak with to assist with resolving the problem. I was also told that the owner of the company does not care to resolve issues with its customers, and that Plant World does not guarantee the quality of any of its products. This company sells poorly made products at a high markup, its only concern it profit and doesnt value it customers. Buyer beware. There are other reputable companies in Albuquerque that treat customers well and carry quality products. Save yourself from loosing out and purchase from them.

Place is very big and and full of employees that know hardly anything about their plants and I found them to be very LAZY and unwilling to take us to where the plants are... big disappointment on my first visit. Will not go back. I much prefer going to Osuna Nursery, pay a bit more for the great service they offer!

Plant World advertised a special for Apple trees and one of the varieties was honeycrisp, however, we were there first thing and there were no honeycrisp to be found.😒

This nursery has a huge selection and you cant beat the prices. I recommend anyone looking for something in particular, this place will have it. The staff is friendly and very helpful, this is my favorite place.

In April 2019 I purchased a bare root red bud tree from Plant World. While paying for the tree I asked if I could have it planted for me. The cashier told me that some of their employees plant trees but it would be a private transaction. I hired the person referred to me. He planted two trees for $180. (One was in a container) The red bud died and I dug it up in August, discovering that the metal cage and burlap had not been cut away. I have talked to two people at Plant World. The cashier I spoke with stated that the metal cage and burlap should have been cut away from the roots. The manager I spoke with stated that those bare root trees are kept up to a year with the cage intact, essentially saying that was not the cause of the trees demise. Other nursery people have told me the metal and burlap should be cut away. The manager did not offer any refund not did he ever ask my name. I am out $286 for the tree in addition to the fee for planting. Referring employees who are not qualified to plant trees is an extremely poor business practice. Update: After posting this review, I received a response from the management. Plant World has refunded the entire amount of the cost of the tree (store credit). I am very pleased at the prompt response. The manager was most polite and accommodating.

What a great experience! Sara, Dominic and Robert were beyond kind helpful. I had purchased an Oklahoma redbud last year from plant world and for some unknown reason it ended up getting diseased. I called to let them know my situation and spoke with Sara. She was extremely knowledgeable and let me know that I could come pick out another tree. So last Sunday I went and tagged one and it was delivered today. Dominic and Robert were also very kind and even helped me get the tree to the back yard!! Thanks everyone for all your help!

Shame on you Plant World. Ive been a member for years. I was recently at the store and was able to buy seeds. I didnt mind standing in line as I was treated politely. Today, I attempted to purchase tomato plants. I was ruderly ordered by a woman at the gate to get back in my car and told I could only do a drive through. While I understand these are difficult times, there is no reason to be a jerk. This is why many people never attain a position of authority, they become little dictators and take out their petty revenge on those they have perceived to be, from a group they have never liked. I am extremely disappionted in your gestapo guards behavior.

I had checked prices around town and they were by far the lowest price on everything I purchased. Very helpful staff even when they were really busy. This will be my go to place from now on.

I like plant world, but I am a small scale gardener that likes native plants, so Ive started to gravitate to some of the smaller local nurseries instead. The prices here are cheaper, so if you are going to do a large landscaping project, it probably will save you a lot of money to shop here. The pots here are typically cheaper (but FYI youre only going to find specialty ceramic style pots here, not the regular run of the mill plastic containers). I guess I would say I like to mix things up. I enjoy going to Plants of the Southwest to really feel like Im experiencing the plants (cheesy, I know). Then sometimes I go to plant world to round out my selections. The people working here ARE helpful, but sometimes they are really busy b/c they are working with large scale orders. I guess my advice would be to come with the right expectations. Its a bit more DIY shopping than a smaller nursery but its fun to see the big selection! There IS a membership fee before you can buy anything, but its a one time cost. If youre just looking for that one plant for your house, then shopping here is not going to make sense. Really, think of it like a Costco for plants and it might make more sense. The big difference is that the busy time at Plant World is probably the weekdays when the landscapers are there!Disclaimer - I havent purchased any big ticket items like trees here or anywhere else in ABQ.

Huuuge selection. I felt like I was at a very very large park. Beautiful plants and a nice offering of pottery as well. Downsides; many employees did not seem to speak English so it was hard for them to help. Also very high prices. I was quoted in the neighborhood of $250 for a small tree. The kind you would probably pay $70 for at Home Depot.

Good inventory, but not good pricing, coupled with no warranty.I made a walk-through looking for some specific items. They have good inventory, but their prices are far from wholesale to the public. For run-of-the-mill needs, such as annuals, you will get a much, much better deal at Alameda Greenhouse.

Nice place and plenty of plants are here. If someone wants to establish a big nursery than this place will save lots of money. There are prices are very cheaper.

In response to the owner commenting on my review.Dear Owner. When We purchased the Lapins Cherry Tree from Plant World it was the mid to end of March. The tree was NOT blooming nor did I tell your worker that it thrived and grew after purchase. . He didn’t work with me but argued with me, and said that I told him it had leaves. He appeared to have made a judgement prior to speaking to me. Again, rude! The tree had a very small amount of tiny tiny little pink flowers. Period! It was early spring and I just figured it will bloom when it came into it’s time. Again, just like I told the male worker I water my yard every morning and evening. To question and tell me I’m not watering enough is calling me a liar. I take GREAT pride in my yard!!! My yard is lush and green with many bushes, flower beds, grass and a couple trees I bought else where. I was NEVER offered a tree for a reduced price by anyone at Plant World but quite to the contrary....I was treated like I was trying to steal from you. Your worker was unprofessional and there is no justification for how I was treated. Period!I am and have been a business owner for over 30 years and I couldn’t imagine treating one of my customers the way I was treated at your establishment.I’ve wrote off the over 100.00 dollar loss from the tree I purchased from Plant World as a bad investment.

Extremely over price on top of membership fee if you’re new. Better luck with alameda greenhouse couple street down. You can get same size trees at 1/3 of the price.

I went in to get some pots, large selection but plain. Grabbed a couple, some fertilizer, and a string of hooks. Check out is awkward and staff acts almost like you shouldnt be there. Theres almost nothing priced, but then you get to the checkout and unless you buy the 25$ membership all of your mystery prices go up. A few days later I noticed a TON of little mealy bugs hiding under hooks/the vine. When I called they just said they pulled them. No apologies, no offering a refund, no future business from me.

I would say that the customer service is HORRIBLE if they actually provided customer service. I was informed today by an employee that Plant World was a self service wholesale nursery. Apparently that means that they dont have to answer customers questions or give directions to where their products are located. So unless youre a landscaper or contractor they dont care whether you shop there or not. Wish I could get a refund on my membership fee.

Excellent customer service. Just planted 6 trees & assume if we follow their instructions well have a beautiful yard in the spring; even without leaves they make a huge difference to a property full of pinon & juniper! Excellent selection of trees, plants & shrubs.

Very huge nursery with a wide selection. The prices are a bit outrageous though compared to other local nursery’s and half of the plants do not even have prices on them. Staff is not the nicest and is difficult to find help when needed. I’d recommend checking out Other nursery’s in the area first before this one as you will most likely find the same plant for cheaper and won’t have to deal with the headache of finding help and prices.....

Be aware!!!!!! There are NO guarantees on any plant life!!!! We purchased a Cherry Lapins fruit tree in March and went home and planted immediately with all soil compost fertilizer and Superthrive they recommended along with daily watering and the tree did nothing.... it did not die (branches are pliable) thrive or grow. I patiently waited for leaves thinking tree is in shock from just being planted eventually I went to Plant World to get a replacement and was told that I cannot get replacement or refund and that it was my fault that I took tree off their property as there are no guarantees. It is a rip off!!!! Every other nursery including even Homedepot gives at least a 30 day guarantee. I will never purchase from Plant World again, and they are extremely expensive. The male manager was rude and lacking any care regarding the fact they sold me a dead tree, and implied as if I killed it. Not a good way to do business. Signed Disappointed Consumer

Ask them if they guarantee ANY plants. Ill take my chances at Home Depot they guarantee for 1 year for half the price of these characters. Bought TWO evergreens replanted in pots that THEY recommended in potting soil THEY recommended. One thrived well the other died, went back they tried to blame POT. Too bad I can not post pictures. DONE with this OVER PRICED Walmart of plants.

Purchase over 400 dollars on fruit treesmy tres started to get dry on the second day I planted at home I told the costumer service people.they said to wait until it dies AND BRING PICTURES and they will replace it.Came in today and they said my tree had a disease that kill it.Omg and they will only take off 30% on my next purchase.I will never buy anything from this please againThere selling you fruit trees with diseasesBE AWARE.

UPDATE: 5/22/20 COVID19 - visited looking for a particular tree and there was no enforcement of people wearing masks both employees watering and patrons.I have been an assistant manager of a greenhouse and nursery and am very disappointed with his this greenhouse/nursery. They indicate they are a wholesale company which is far from the truth, there are NO discounts associated with becoming a member and are higher priced than the big box stores. Majority of the employees have no clue about the inventory or pricing. The only reason the average consumer/gardener should become a member is they do have inventory you wont find in most garden centers. This is not the place to shop for discounts or service. Their older nursery inventory is root bound so be cautious as they have no warranty at all but the new inventory is fine. Use this garden center as a last resort.

Outstanding in every respect. I spent $4k on plants yesterday afternoon. Plants and trees were explained to me, and they showed me everything that they had, made suggestions for my plans, etc. Bob is, I think, the manager, and he helped me figure out which substitute plants for my plans would work, and he made sure that both truck loads were delivered the next morning. Delivery folks were equally helpful. I dont know why I wasnt expecting such service but I wasnt and was blown away. I highly recommend Plant World ABQ, having worked with at least five of the larger nurseries in the ABQ area, all of which are great as well, but I guess the next day delivery and variety professional advice (Bob, manager?) and, yes, cost (sorry, but thats a reality for someone on an educators salary) drove me to write this review. Ive used Plant World for my landscaping business, Rising Sun Landscaping & Maintenance, and have always thought their selection and service are great!

Have no regard for truckers time. Take their time unloading you. Takes all day, truckers beware.If there was a fire and it wasnt break time or lunch everyone would burn to death. It took them 7 hours to do what other nurserys could do in 2 hours.

Spent over $300 on a tree only to find out it has rot and spider mites.. Thank you for selling me something that’s slowly dying.
