They answered the phone immediately. Marcella was great. They haven’t received authorization from my insurance so I can’t speak to delivery yet. I feel confident that my order is being handled well.
They don’t even deserve a one star, more like a half star. And that’s for how friendly they are on the phone and reassuring. My issues:1. Mixed messages (I just found out after 6 months that I was supposed to be changing out my equipment regularly. Seems that each person I’ve spoken with has different but not consistent information.2. Finally my order arrived and 2/3 of it is WRONG, now I have to send it back.3. What one person told me was possible (alternating hoses on each automatic order) the next says it’s not possible.Very frustrating.I should have read the reviews first.
It doesn’t seem Apria had the patients best but interest in mind. They provide oxygen but require you to bring the tanks to them. They have delivery vans. They use the excuse it’s because of a “ tank shortage” How does that prevent a driver from picking up the empties? It’s inconvenient for patients.
The worst service! most of the time they just leave you on hold.but if you are lucky enough to speak with anyone, they dont have an order from your doctor, even though the doctor has sent it 3 Toms and confirmed their receipt. I gave up even trying to do business with them.
Hit or miss service. Long waits on hold when contacted via phone. Am on my 3rd oxygen concentrator machine in 3 months. All three have been defective. Delivery is good if you get past the initial phone call.
They have always taken great care of me and my needs. I recommend them to anyone who needs a wonderful healthcare service :)
My aunt tried to call them about my grandfather. They hung up on us. Like pick up the phone put it back down so we cant leave a message hung up on us.
They took out money automatically from bank account and I thought it was high due to first of the year but never got a statement to let me know. Then they took out more $$ twice and now they say i dont get a refund. No statement nothing to let me know so I could dispute it and tell them to pick up the equipment for the amount they are charging me. Been in on hold for over 30 minutes. This service charges too much
I received a Dr.s order for a new CPAP and mask. I am a difficult customer as I wanted very specific requirements for my mask. Becky, from the Apria Albuquerque branch office, took the time during our phone call to walk me through several styles of masks, she looking online from her side while I was looking online from my side. It took a little while to fine the requirements that I needed, but Becky was extremely patient, kind, interested and willing to help. I havent receive this kind of service in a very long time from anywhere.I had to call Apria Albuquerque Branch back again later and again talked to Becky. She was just as warm, kind and efficient as she was the first time. Its people like Becky that make Apria Albuquerque Branch the great place it is.
Awful awful awful. My doctor prescribed an oxygen machine that did not work from day one. I called, I wrote...never got a response nor someone to come repair the machine. Now, months later, they are calling wanting me to pay their bill, which I received only one month of three. I keep telling them I wont pay, but they keep calling. THAT they have good follow-up on! Next comes my attorney - horrible!
They are uncaring, money hungry, and they never call back when the promise to do so. they send unnecessary supplies and fail to check insurance coverage. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE FOR ANYTHING.
Horrible nightmare experience. I have been trying to get an issue resolved for 4 months. No help, no one seems to understand anything about the accounts, and I am told something different each time I call. The simplest question: Whats the claim number? takes 20 minutes of investigation. And each simple, related question after that. And no one seems to be sure theyre giving correct information. They must hire hundreds of people, and give them absolutely no training, and certainly no pay. Dealing with malfunctioning robots. The management is no better, promise to help, then disappear. I cant be done with this company soon enough!
Whenever I call for help they send me to the 800 number they are always rude, unconcerned and uncaring. I have never been treated with such disrespect from any company in my life as I have from the Apria Albuquerque office in my opinion all staff should be fired and replaced
Horrible customer service/billing. Billed for entire 2 months for o2 that was only used a few days. Refused to work with me and didnt care how much it was used. Was only supposed to be for a 30 day trial for my doctors office. Paid the 1st 30 days out of pocket and they wouldnt waive or prorate the second 30 days even though it was only 5 days over the 1st month. Then they start calling me regularly telling me my bill is past due before they even sent the bill. I called them back after multiple calls and messages to find out they just sent the bill. I called my doctors office and told them not to ever send me to them ever again. Ashame because the folks at the local office were nice but corporate is horrible.
I would give this company a zero if I could. RUN AWAY if your doctor tells you to go here to get supplies DONT. I returned equipment and they said that they did not get it all and are now charging me 212.81. I dropped if off with a gentlemen in the store. They are rude. please do not use them.
0% Helpfulness 0% Knowledgeable = 100% Bad customer service
The absolute worst company in America for DME services/supplies. If you medical coverage directs you to this company, either demand an alternative DME company or change insurance carriers!!!! The most incompetent, uncaring, and lackadaisical employees anywhere. And watch out for the creative accounting in the billing. The local facility response to problems is, I dont know. I cant help. Im sorry. Yes, Apria is sorry.
I am disabled and apria harassed me over a mask change for my machine they stated to me that even if my insurance covered my new mask that I would still have to pay on top of that do yourself a favor and stay away from them! UPDATE : how come you guys manage to mess up my online profile info and completely lose all my personal info it has happened multiple times witch makes me unable to re-order my supplies you guys need to be reported to the better business bureau!
Only giving 1 star because it wont allow 0. Customer service appears to be offshore and incompetent to do anything except take orders. After wasting almost 6 weeks with them trying to order my supplies they have been unable to get it done. When I asked to speak to a manager I was told one wasnt available but they could have the manager call me back. No surprise but no one called back. When I followed up a couple days later they indicated they could see where I had called but conveniently... there was no manager available then either. But they could have them call me back! I am thankful I had some surplus supplies but there is no way I would count on this company for anything time sensitive.
Ashley the account rep. for UNM is amazing! Personable, professional, honest, mindful, and always follows up. Ive had an amazing experience in her service. ! Thank you Ashley.
Horrible service - never billed insuranceDelivered oxygen service that was ordered in December finally in January, never trained patient how to use it. Just dumped it in their room. No manuals or written instructions. We attempted to call the following week to have it picked up. Could only leave a message. (Note they regularly stop by this senior complex). After several months of calling weekly, the patient was moving in April and we finally had to go into their office. We explained situation, they assured us it would be taken care of. In June they billed our credit card, and also sent a hardcopy requesting payment. The hardcopy indicated they had already billed our insurance, but checked and they had never even attempted. Avoid them at all costs.
The worst thing to happen to my heath care... horrible service and such incredible inconsistency.
This is the worst service company I have ever experienced. I asked for a scheduled pickup of equipment and they told me the pickup guy would call on Thursday and let me know when he would be picking it up. At 10:30 AM I received an automated call stating he would be there between 8:30 and noon. I rushed home from work and waited. At 12:10, I called them back and was given a message that it was rescheduled between 3:30 and 7:30PM.
I am unable to carry more than 10 pounds due to an injury...they supplied me with BIG HUGE BOTTLES. I am waiting on the portable concentrator and they are now telling me that it is on back order. So I asked for smaller tanks, they said I need to have a script for that!! I HAVE A SCRIPT FOR THE PORTABLE CONCENTRATOR, GIVE ME THE SMALL BOTTLES, till they get it in!!! Geez!!!
Absolute WORST costumer service I have ever experienced. Each call leads to transfer after transfer where youll get a different answer every time. All I had to do was switch insurance providers and it was like pulling teeth... Im going on 2 months without new equipment. Ill be very happy when I dont have to deal with this cluster**** anymore.UPDATE: After dealing with this poor excuse for a company for 3 months trying to get them to verify my insurance, they are trying to charge me fees for not having insurance on file. Thinking about reporting them to the BBB.. I get calls almost every day from an automated number telling me a payment is due. They arent getting a single PENNY from me :)
Being on Medicare I had a choice of three companies to provide a cpap machine. I picked Apria at random. Bad choice.I had trouble finding their office but nobody in their vast phone tree knew where it was so I arrived 30 minutes late.Chris, my cranky Apria respiratory therapist rushed through setting me up with a machine and said I should text him if I had questions. After almost a month I am comfortable using the cpap but wake up with headaches. He has not replied to my text. The whole office has the feel of a dead zone. This company must just be some kind of Medicare-fueled money machine for some distant corporation.Stay away!
If I could give a -5 stars, I would. Please do not use Apria! If there is another medical equipment company besides Apria that your insurance takes, use them instead. Unethical and disorganized company that outsources their call centers to foreign countries. Do not keep a debit or credit card on file with them. They will falsely charge the card crazy amounts of money repeatedly and its hard to take cards off your account. Heed my advice and pick another place. You will regret using Apria.
Very inconsistent mom is 88 home bound just started this company twice they have not found address to deliver supply . maybe they should have driver call clients before delivery people depend on good service pay for it get it right. Apria healthcare provider
They say that I didn’t turn in a air gauge and have been getting billed at 30 dollars a month for two years now I called them four times today and told them I turned in the gear over two years ago they have turned me over to collections nowThis is nothing more than extortion
OMG!!! Are you kidding me. The customer service is down right horrible. I would not even give 1 star, but had to so I could post my comment. So some lady called and left a message with 2 phone #s and we replayed and replayed the message trying to figure out what the # was. Called one of the #s they we could figure out and they didnt want to help us because we didnt have an account #. Hello, we havent been given an account # yet. Today we spent 15 minutes on the phone with a lady that said she couldnt help us. So I called what I thought was the local office. Wrong it goes to the same call center where you cant understand anyone. The doctors office told us the equipment would be delivered, wrong we have to go pick it up. The lady on the phone couldnt even pronounce Albuquerque. We have spent already to much time on this. Today all total it was a half hour and we still dont have the equipment, but he have an appointment to pick up the equipment. I am calling the doctors office to recommend they do not use this company.
So far, my interactions with Apria have been very good. They have been attentive and proactive.
We were just charged almost $200 withouth authorization or notice....when we called to dispute the charge, they lied and said my Mother -in-law came into the local office and made the payment. Yet, my Mother-in-law doesnt drive and the local office is in a different city!
I fully understand everyones frustration with this company, I once worked for it as a respiratory therapist and it absolutely puts money first and people third; the corporation, of course, comes second. This company is so corporatized its disgusting. I left upon realizing that patient care had little to do with the job - it was a sales position!
Looking for Cpap equipment and/or supplies - Run,Run,Run from as fast as you can. April Direct staff are incompetent- management never calls back. Been a customer of April for over 20 years - see you later. Never order from April direct!!
My doctor ordered a nebulizer on Monday. I called Wednesday evening and spoke to a wonderful woman in Tennessee. I was told my insurance was taken care of, what my copay would be, and that Paul would be calling me Thursday AM to set up a delivery time. At 2 pm I called to find out what time it woud be delivered. I was told they were still trying to get my insurance through. I called my insurance. It was taken care of Wed. night. I cancelled the order. I wouldnt use yor company if it was the only company on earth. If I could give a minus star I would. Buyer beware. Use another company NEVER this one.
Apria is impossible to work with. I am trying to contact Nicole in Albuquerque about an incomplete CPAP equipment shipment and to check on a oxymetry test ordered by my doctor. Apparently live people no longer answer the phone in Albuquerque,, and the automated answering system routes me to a call center offshore with an operator who has English as a second language barely. Could not understand her nor could she understand me.How do I contact a person in Albuquerque?
I agree with the comments that say their customer service stinks. I got so fed up that I decided to change providers. After three attempts to change to other providers, I got fed up with them too: calls not returned, fax machines that didnt work, no one available when calls attempted, once place closed at 2 p.m. because, as their answering service stated they decided to take the afternoon off on a Thursday. So I decided to stay with Apria because I would be going from the frying pan to the fire. They all stink.
Its a shame you have to pick one star to post a review. I wouldnt give them any. This is the worst company in the world to work with. No matter where you are, when you call the local number you will be talking to somebody that barely understands or speaks English. These folks are impossible to work with on the phone and the website is equally bad.
The worst customer service, if you can go with another company this company is awful.
Worst customer service ever! Go through another company!
This is beyond awful and incompetent! The staff was SO rude. Would have given this place no stars if that were an option. Go someplace else for oxygen!!
Run away.....incompetent, worse company ever....
Shitty
