Good luck getting your prescribed equipment from this place. All empty promises. Someone “will call you back” and never does. Your equipment is “out for delivery today” and never shows. “Still waiting for prior authorization” after you gave them the insurer prior authorization number days and days ago. If they ran a funeral home nobody would die. Stay away.
Hello. I am not one to rant. However. This medical company is probably the worst one I’ve ever had to deal with in my life. They sent me the wrong equipment. Trying to get somebody on the phone is nearly impossible. When I did get somebody on the phone they don’t understand the problem they created. It’s been a nightmare. Our insurance company finally dealt with them. They were not happy. Finally had to switch to a local company that seems to be fabulous.
The worst medical supply company out there. All of these people with the same experience should contact their insurance company and ask that HMEs status with the insurance company be revoked on the basis of poor customer service because clearly they dont care about bad reviews. They only seem to care about money and their main source of money is the insurance companies. Lets shut them down!
Caring and patient. I came in with my elderly Mom who needed a shower chair and was considering a knee brace for pain. The young man who helped us ( I want to say his name was Kelvin?) was so patient and kind with my Mom. Thank you
They flat out refused to fill my prescription for supplies unless I got a new one year prescription from my doctor. Even though I was owed one more month with my first prescription. They even confirmed I was owed that month but the person on the phone actually said, well now that I see that your prescription expires next month, Im not allowed to fill this current month. How is that legal? Its like holding my supplies hostage unless I promise to sign a new contract? I would absolutely go elsewhere if my insurance allowed it. Ive had problems with items being out of stock and being told there were no substitutions (basic product, definitely had substitutions.) They acted like it was just too much work to help and even said, Do you *really* need those?
Supply order folks are very pleasant on the phone and seem genuinely concerned. Everyone else Ive ever dealt with only gives you excuses for why your order hasnt been delivered or why its goofed up. I had a prescription written by my PCP for a new BiPAP machine-----it took six months for it to be filled and the machine delivered. Ive been dealing with HME for almost five years and as soon as I can find another supplier, Im done with them.
Literally the worst medical supplier I have ever dealt with. Terrible prices! And customer service! Do yourself a favor and go online for supplies, you will save alot of money and aggravation.

My husband was sent home in March in a wheelchair after a stroke. I have been trying to talk to a customer service rep for 2 weeks and my calls are not answered. I will hold up to 20 minutes and still my call goes unanswered. All I want to know is where do I return this wheel chair??
I give it 3 stars because they have alot of supplies on hand for any needs you may have. I did not give it 5 stars because the staff here are not people friendly upon walking in I waited for a bit while the staffed talked to eachother and it was not in regards to work. When they finally paid attention to me not a smile or welcome did I receive. NOT FRIENDLY AT ALL! I gave them my order and the girl behind the desk instructed me to go have a seat. I did for about 20-25 minutes and this time is lengthy when there is no other customers in the building. I walked around taking pictures to post on my review. When she finally came to help it took her a whole 3 minutes if that to get me the product I needed. Workers here have to remember, the individuals that are coming here for products probably have enough to worry about with their health and dont need to deal with attitudes and waiting longer than they should have to. Im always having problems with the girls who answer the phones, like now I been on there for 1hr & 17 minutes, the guy that was supposed to deliver my oxygen called me so rude & said I am here to pick up all our equipment I said what who put that order in he said I cant tell you that but I said no Im calling my Dr rn he hung up & Im making sure he gets written up for what he put me through.
The golf course location is a joke. Rude employees! I will never recommend them and I am returning my equipment and will choose a different company.
Im suppose to be on oxygen at night. I needed a hose replacement. Its been 7 weeks and still have not received my supplies. It was first suppose to come to my PO Box, then UPS and was promised shipment to my PO Box again by Friday. Its now Wed. and they tell me my hose was shipped yesterday and not last week. Final chance for this company to get this right. Really perturbed. Can you imagine if I needed to be on oxygen 24/7 - I would be dead !!

Impossible to schedule appointments, find your equipment elsewhere. My doctor sent a prescription nearly 3 weeks ago and the employee assigned to my case, Patricia, won’t return (daily) calls to schedule fitting. What’s sad is this place is well-known to be unprofessional, but the people who need durable medical equipment can’t wait. These are serious medical conditions that require timely responses. I was forced to use HME for 3 years due to insurance, but if you can afford to go elsewhere, do yourself and your health a favor and go where staff will return calls and adequately handle your desperately-sought after equipment needs in a more professional way. This type of negligence could really be life-altering for some customers and I feel it is highly unethical, which is why I am writing this review. Some people honestly can’t afford to wait a month.

Worked for them for a week no one there knows how to train ...they are running a month or so behind ..that could change if there employees would stop texting and work...have you shadow for 5 days never put you on a computer but then cause there so called trainer has a problem they let you go cause you dont know there system..that is HME
My Grama gets her oxygen thru HME. When we went on vacation we thought we would have to rent a Portable Oxygen Concentrater . It turns out they loan them for free!! Thank you HME for allowing me to take my Grandmother on the Vacation of a lifetime!!
Oxygen delivery deserves 5 stars becausedelivery service workers are awesome and helpful. But phone service gets a zero. You will wait a minimum of 15 minutes on hold. Horrible, most annoying music playing while you wait. Reorder computer will call you and doesnt understand your needs and almost always sends you the wrong order.
I wish I could give zero stars but that isn’t an option. This company literally lied to my face to get my business and screwed me over afterwards. I was told when I visited to pick up my CPAP machine that they checked my insurance and that all I owed was $33 up front and then $4 a month for 12 months as a rental fee. The following month I received a bill for almost $800. Now I am getting monthly bills for $127. They are trying to blame it on my insurance for giving them the wrong info up front, but I called my insurance and verified that HME never contacted them to verify how much I would really owe. I looked up the CPAP items on the invoice they sent me and they are charging 3 times more then what I can buy the same items online for. I am currently fighting them through the better business bureau and will get a lawyer if it is not resolved that way. Take your business elsewhere because they will lie to your face to get business.
If I could give zero stars, I would.....Warning. Do not cuss while talking to their billing department or they will hang up on you. My bad. Sorry. Not sorry. I’m upset.Called during lockdown last April or so to have someone come pick up the equipment. They stated they needed a release from my doctor. I told them I was their release as I was no longer using the equipment. They then stated someone would call me prior to pickup. Call was never received.At the time I called, I mentioned I could bring the equipment down. They said no, because of Covid. Okay. Whatever. Just come pick up the equipment.Fast forward to this April. I loaded up the equipment into my vehicle and took it down myself.I couldn’t go inside. Covid restrictions and all that. Guy I talked to said someone would be out to get the equipment out of my car. Thirty minutes later, I call and asked if someone was going to come out and get the equipment.I was told I needed a medical release from my doctor. AGAIN? Really? Nobody could come out and tell me this?Finally returned the equipment, signed for its return.Now I’m left with an insane bill, a black Mark on my credit report. And I’m to upset to curb the bad language long enough to talk to a thin skinned billing person.I think they are shady and looking for any way to milk a patient and insurance for whatever they can get. Will be reporting to BBB and NM State Attorney General. They can’t keep on doing this to people. If a patient says they’re done using something from them, then they should do the right and honorable thing and not give that patient a hassle about said return.

I received a call to schedule my cpap delivery. The lady on the other end of the phone couldnt hear me as I was yelling hello into the phone. I have left many messages in the last 2 weeks since the initial call and have received no response. None. Im still not breathing in my sleep and having horrible days. The most worthless supply company I have ever dealt with. Two different times they have dropped off the wrong walker and I’m still waiting for them to bring the correct walker. How hard is this? I’m going to have my insurance company reverse their payment and just go buy my own. Shame on you HME!!! You’re a bunch of losers!
1) Dropped off prescription for knee scooter rental, was told theyd get back to me in 24-48hrs for the status. Four days later still hadnt received a call, so called them back. Finally got a call on a Saturday saying my insurance didnt cover scooter rental. No big deal, Ill rent one instead I said. They charged my CC $75 immediately.Person on phone was helpful, said the Osuna location would have it ready Monday.I get to Osuna on Monday before my surgery, wait 45 minutes, only to be told its broken. They said just to drive up the road to their other location to get one. Problem is, my operation time was approaching and I didnt have time to be off to yet another location and process yet more paperwork.Decided to buy a scooter online for cheaper than a 2-month rental. Called on Aug 18th for a refund of my CC charge, since I never picked up scooter. Lady was nice on the phone and said it would take 5-7 business days, no problem.Here we are, 10 business days later and no refund, so I filed a CC dispute.I realize COVID and whatnot is causing some turmoil and delays, but HME needs to tighten up their act somewhat -- lots of dropped balls.
Have used HME for many years and anytime I want to reach them by phone it’s about a 20 minute wait and then you might be cut off as I was today!If they weren’t the in network for my insurance, I would choose another company!
RUSHED FROM Rio Rancho, NM to get to HME Medical Supply store at 611 Osuna before closing at 3 pm on a Saturday, after finally getting a friend to sit with sick family member.Stood at the door at 2:56 pm and doors were already locked. Theres still a customer and couple staff people in the store. Knocked on the door several times and held up my phone pointing to the time indicating not closing time of 3 pm yet according to atomic clock. Staff ignores me completely!Clearly your store does not care about customer(s) nor care to acknowledge one customer who may desperately need supplies.Very sorry I wasted my time of picking your store to patronage. And you should NOT bother either!

HME has THE worst customer service. PCP ordered oxygen condenser late Jan & its now mid-March & we still do not have condenser. They lie when I call, they dont care whether my daughter has oxygen. Maybe they want her to die in her sleep. HORRIBLE is how I describe them!
12/14/20 I called for a price on a foot splint waited on Hold for 20 minutes the guy gave me a price of $42.35 when I went to go buy it he raised the price to $79.99. Dont waste your time with this business. There crooks.
Edit: These guys will lie to you at every possible opportunity. As of September 2020, I have changed the review to 1 star. The amounts that I was told I was going to be paying and the amount billed were very different. The actual charges that were billed are about 4-5 times as much. I was told ~$80 for setup, bill came in for over $400. I was told that my monthly fee would be about $12, came in at over $60. I still dont have any paperwork about the rent to own. End edit.I was on the phone with these guys about four times before I had my appointment for a CPAP. They couldnt or wouldnt tell me what equipment I was going to get. They told me theyd work that out at the fitting. It wasnt until the supplies person had some confusion and called me that I was finally able to get brand and model of what they were setting me up with.Receptionist was not wearing a mask at any time, despite them screening at the door. Service was very slow, it took them ten to fifteen minutes to see me, then five minutes each time they had to leave to find something, and then another five or so to run my credit card. They also were unable to provide me with paperwork on their rent to own plan, and I just had to contact billing to get paperwork instead of the person setting me up and having me sign. Great.
Called 2 times was told the oxygen delivery was good and they would come, they usually deliver by noon, waited till after 6pm, no one came, called again only to be told they didnt have anyone available to deliver!! And will come the next day but didnt know what time. Very unprofessional.
Unprofessional, disorganized and inability to communicate among each other. I rented a knee scooter for my wife out of pocket because wed already been waiting for a week on another supplier who failed to respond. The out of pocket rental experience was fine. The next day someone arrived to deliver one but didnt explain that this one would be under my wifes name and was under insurance. We already had one so we declined the delivery. Then I received an invoice for the next month. I went to the Osuna location to see about getting this covered under insurance. The person assured me that one under my wifes name and covered by insurance would be delivered within 48 hours. Didnt happen. I contacted the company the next Monday with the same story that it would be taken care of. Didnt happen. A Nicole was supposed to have assumed the case and her supervisor(?) Sonya knew about the case. Nicole called once and left a message and never returned any of my calls. I was never allowed to speak with Sonya. Now its the July 4th holiday (July 3rd) and no one will be available until Monday. My 30 day rental period is up and Ill just have to pay out of pocket again and contact my insurance company directly to see about reimbursement. The future is always uncertain but to the extent possible I will never do business with or recommend anyone to this company. I would have been much better off buying my own as it would have been less expensive and definitely less aggravating. The fact that they cannot get something as simple as this worked out within a couple of days clearly exemplifies their incompetence.
I do not understand all the negative reviews as my experience was excellent in every respect. I needed some supplies for my daughter on an emergency basis as she was out and her mail order (from a different company) hadnt arrived. I phoned several local companies and finally determined that this store had what we needed. I found the two staff members with whom I dealt friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional. I can highly recommend HME Specialists.
I went in for a mask fitting for my CPAP today with Brittany. She was pleasant, helpful and well informed. I had some other questions in the showroom and Justin was also very helpful. Thank you for great customer service. Showroom was locked for covid safety, Im glad they are using extra safety measures.
Speedy delivery, efficient customer service. I was able to try the wheelchairs in store to see what size would work best for me; I opted for the smallest size so I can get around tight spaces easier.It can take a while to get through on the phones, but thats nothing out of the ordinary. Companies that provide services for Medicaid patients generally cant afford a lot of staffing, since medicaid doesnt reimburse much - so expect a bit of a wait.The delivery men are excellent, very polite and courteous on the phone regarding the delivery & efficient upon arrival.Once I got a letter of approval from my insurance, I simply walked in and everything got handled in a breeze & swiftly delivered the next day. Amazing quality of service for Medicaid patients.A lot of negative reviews from self-entitled boomers it seems, and I feel bad for the employees having to deal with the hostility & entitlement all the time. Get the approval letter from your insurance before going in, then bring it to the front desk. It makes everything a lot smoother & easier regardless of whatever company or facility you go to.Thank you for the service, HME. Yall deserve a cookie.

I dont have the time and energy to outline the idiocy of what I dealt with the last several months but everyone is next level incompetent, disrespectful, and NOTHING gets done unless you do all the work and even then do not expect to get your products on time.
Concerned about ratings, I called for myself. Monday 9AM a representative was on the phone in less than a minute. The Representative answered all my questions Intelligently and gave me estimated timelines for the durable equipment I was inquiring about. Make informed decisions! Horrible service. Trying to contact on the phone is ridiculous. The web site is even worse. When you do get through, you are told they have to transfer your call. Then they hang up. Once I could believe was a accident. Three times in one day,, no way thats a accident. I was on the phone for 2 hours and 25 minutes and never got to speak to a rep, except for the transfers. Awful,, am trying to get my insurance to change now.

When I had my fitting appointment for my equipment, it was pleasurable.. nice attentive staff.However, I have been trying to call their office for the last several days, every day. They do NOT answer phones. I have tried every office in this area. Due to my work, I cant just take off and drive up there. It is so annoying, I need equipment but my mailing address has changed!! So frustrating!
Ive been here three times now first time to pick up a BIPAP with my husband, second time to return a mask and pick up a new one, and now to return the BIPAP. Each time has left us waiting longer than necessary especially since we are the only ones in here.
My Doctor ordered my shower transferbench I received it right the next day.As usual I always have excellent service with the company. The staff are always kind friendly and helpful. I will always continue to use HME. for my medical needs Thank You for you service and help.🤗👍
Horrible place to get equipment from and work. The front desk girl in the store is rude and not people friendly AT ALL! To anyone! They dont even know if you have the equipment or not! They are a huge mess! Their records are all in a mess! They are now trying to bill for things 1 year ago because they dont have it together!!! Do not use this place....you will regret it!
This company has issues with communication between departments and billing issues. They will tell you everything is paid up then you get bills with late fees. They tell you one thing and charge three times that amount.
Very hard to get through on the phone. Only call if you have an half an hour or more to spare before you can finally be done with the call. Then the order arrives and its wrong. Not a professional company. They make you feel like their doing you a favor instead of doing their job.

Spent 2 hours here 2 days ago and left with no wrist braces due to their system needing to be updated with insurance prices. Today we start out wit total confusion and they don’t have the braces they said they saved for us the first time. We’re taking our business somewhere else.
I can see why the ratings for this place are so low. I sent all that they need to get new CPAP equipment and someone was supposedly working on it and 3 weeks later haven’t received a phone call. Guess they dont want my business!
I have been a customer of HME Specialists for several years now and have been most satisfied with their service and responsiveness. In a recent experience, not only did the customer service representative contact me immediately after receiving the physicians request, but she offered to contact my Doctor to suggest a more portable unit. I greatly appreciated her recommendation. And the technical and clinical staff who delivered my equipment were very thorough in their explanation of the unit and ensured that I was comfortable with function and maintenance of the unit. I find the staff most professional and always pleasant and I will continue to utilize HME Specialists and recommend them highly to my friends.
Worst experience ever. The people on the phone dont care that youre a patient. I was transferred to another department when asking for a manager - they seem to be completely incompetent in helping me resolve my issues and order supplies for me. I will not be doing any business with HME in the future, and I would not recommend them to anyone else. They only got 1 star because I had to give something - If I could of gave them no stars, I would have.
What a disservice to me two nights in a row. All I needed was help with a few settings on my CPAP machine. Didnt sleep well last night. Last night I was advised I should receive a callback, nothing. Tonight was advised they got ahold of an RT and they couldnt troubleshoot and for me to bring my machine in on Monday. Whats the purpose of an oncall? What horrible service. I definitely need to take my business elsewhere.#NOSTARS
No one ever answered the phone in store. Calling customer service I wanted 25 min and they told me they were processing my order . A day later I call my insurance they never got any request from them . Now on hold with my insurance while they call them . Absolutely horrible customer service and rude in person service . Glad I don’t have to deal with them much but I will be calling corporate this is horrible business practice for anyone who has to deal with them on a normal basis .
Due to high call volume, I am forced to leave a review. HME does not answer the phone after 20 minutes. I have made three attempts today. Thats my issue with them!

There are other games in town, seek them. This is by far the most frustrating staff and company Ive dealt with as a professional and as a patient. I requested they pick up my equipment multiple times. They dont return calls, fail to document communication, and dont follow through on requests. After requesting pick up multiple times, they continued to bill me and my insurance. I managed to have a conversation with management. She agreed to forgive the balance. Today, three months after the fact, I received a letter from collections. This place is an absolute disgrace. I feel like these issues border on fraudulent.

I have been using HME for over 5 years now. I have a special needs child and the people at HME have gone above and beyond to make our live so much easier. I love the automated service and deliveries. I now purchase supplies for my mother in law and have gotten the same kind, reliable, service. I dont know what we would do without the people at HME. Thank you.
One of the most frustrating companies I’ve ever dealt with! Very unhelpful. Very unknowledgeable about their own products. They are a medical SUPPLY company yet you can’t buy a cotton ball without a prescription!!Worthless!!
I have been receiving CPAP supplies with this company for several years. It started out ok, but for the past couple of years, they have gotten worse and worse. A few years back, my CPAP machine stopped working. The RT came to my house and replaced it - it was barely within the warranty period, so it was replaced with the new model. After about 6 months, the new machine stopped working. When I called and spoke to a RT, she assured me that it was working fine. Well it wasnt. It just got worse. It would pump for close to an hour after I turned it off every morning, and it started telling me that I got 0 hours of sleep. I finally got them to look at it - I had to go into their store this time. What the other reviews say about their customer service is all correct. Worst ever. When you walk in and to the counter, theres usually 2 people sitting there. They generally just look at you like what are you doing here they are usually on the phone - their cell phones - and cant be bothered. After waiting for about 1/2 hour (I had an appointment) the RT finally came and took me into a small room with a couple chairs and a table. When the RT looked at my machine, she started making it out like I was to blame, that I didnt clean it every day. She told me that they wouldnt honor the warranty because they had gotten some email from the company stating something about contamination. I asked her to show me the email. She came back like 10 minutes later with an email stating that if there was smoke or insect damage it voids the warranty. There was neither, just a little dust around where the filter sits. I told her that I wouldnt accept it, I packed up and left. I told my sleep specialist Dr. about it, she got on the phone with her rep, and I was back in there getting a loaner which they charged me for. I also needed a new mask, but they gave me a mask with a foam cushion instead of the silicon ones Im used to. The foam cushion didnt work, so I called them and told them I needed to silicon kind - not the foam kind. About 2 weeks later the new face mask arrived, and guess what? it was the same foam cushion kind. I still had the original ones in a box - unopened. I took the box of masks back to the store on Osuna. Of course, I got the what are you doing here looks and the same attitudes. Then after about a half hour, a guy came out and I told him what happened, I showed him the box of masks. He told me to wait here. He came back after a few minutes with the right mask. So I took the mask and left the box of masks I had returned to him. 2 months later I got a bill for the cushion masks and the silicon mask. I have called them, and they are trying to figure it out. I am waiting for them to call me back. It has been an hour and a half and the store closes in an hour. What do you think are the odds they ever call me back? Im thinking pretty low.Also, Im trying to log on to the website. I had to reset my password. When I do, it tells me that my account was frozen because I have made 5 unsuccessful log ins. I have to wait 30 minutes to try again. I tried again after 30 minutes and it tells me that I have made 5 unsuccessful attempts at log in and to wait another 30 minutes. Im so frustrated with this company I could scream. Im going to call my Dr.and ask her what my alternatives are for switching to another supplier. This is ridiculous.
HME I have been with this company for several years. I had to switch companies do to changing insurance company i was not advise that they did not take my new insurance.They are rude when talking to them i have an oxgen concentrator with also a cpap machine ( which they say they have no record of it but have a HME sticker on it)Im in transition with a new company in the meantime Im have been getting calls to pick up my oxgen. They have call me every day to pick up. After all the calls from them they pick it up yesterday leaving me without the oxgen thst I use at night. I think it is pretty bad from this compsy at times we are in at this time to harrass someone on a daily basic for machine and leave someone with whst they need for medical purposes.
In person at the Osuna location can be iffy - usually involving long delays and indifferent staff at the front desk. This is a long standing issue. However, I have had good luck with the telephone supply and billing departments.

I had a terrible experience with another medical supply company and then turned to HME. They made everything super easy and delivered my equipment to my house within one business day. The delivery guy was super helpful and informative. I highly recommend them.
I would not recommend this place at all my Dr discontinued my machine then told me HME would arrange a pick up time with me. The night after that appointment I had a representative call me with an attitude and got snappy and said we dont arrange pick up you have to bring it in yourself. And Ive got anger issues as is and that didnt help much.In my opinion this is the most unprofessional business Ive delt with.
I have used HME numerous times and they are always incredible. The delivery people are always so courteous, they call me on their way to my house. Setting up your house to need medical equipment isnt easy, but HME makes it seem easy. I recommend them to all of my friends for any and all medical equipment.

I just came back to town and in urgent need of a particular item; I called ten minutes before close on Friday and it was delivered (with a smile) by end of day Monday. In addition, they took the burden of billing my insurance. The services were prompt and their staff stayed in great contact. If only I could give ten stars!!!
Again, over and over, HME has an automated message stating that they are busy. I have requested my supplies over the past 18 days but they refuse to deliver. And when I ask for a possible deliver date the response is always, we do not know as we are very busy and behind schedule. This has been the usual response over the past two years.But the worse of it all is that the Lackies at Blue Cross Blue Shield do not care about the situation. As long as they are getting paid they do not care.
This place is a complete JOKE! Never let you know anything, leaves you on hold every time for hours, NEVER communicate expiring prescriptions, NEVER call back and completely ignore me every time! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE service, I cannot even believe they are still in business, I hear and read multiple bad reviews.
In review of multiple comments, it seems that people are either very happy or very unhappy. I unfortunately am in the latter category in terms of trying to get velcro compression for a patient of mine. I sent his order in January 2018 and he called me in February to let me know that he is not getting his phone calls returned and still does not have his garment. I called to speak to a supervisor, who informed that that he would look into his case and get back to me. That was 3 weeks ago and I have not heard anything. If I cant hear back from a supervisor after having a direct conversation with him expressing my concerns, I am inclined to use other companies here in town for better customer service.
I have delt with this Company multiple times and each and every time the company has come through with flying colors! They are always professional and polite, always remembering that their customers are not just customers but patients who are either ill and in great pain trying to get well and on their way to recuperating, or who are permanently disabled like I am.I also give HME the best grading because when I was working, I worked for one of the top medical insurance companies in the United States. I worked with thousands of doctors, facilities and vendors so was privy to universal medical grading standards and have seen the very best, and the very worst, HME would be at the top end of universal grading standards and meet even a higher standard than that; mine! Thanks HME!
Im glad im not the only one who thinks HME is a very unprofessional company. Surprised they are still in business. Successful companies have a common denominator and thats a proven customer service program. Sorry HME you do not have one. Cracker Barrel has a better customer service program than you do. Would not be surprised if you dont care because you have so many clients. Where is the pride in providing good service? I have brought this to the attention of my physician and he admits he gets a tremendous amount of complaints from his patients regarding HME. There are two other companies providing the same service. You might want to give them a call. I will be changing providers soon. Dont say I didnt tell you.
I have dealt with these people for a year. They are rude and not helpful. The push everything back on you to take care off. It takes forever to get a hold of anyone on the phone, then they cant or wont help the customer. They said take care of it myself and I did. I am working with my health care provider to get a new medical equipment supplier. I can get most parts cheaper, faster and easier from Amazon. I would have given them 0 stars, but cant and submit review. Good luck HME, you will go the way of the computer store!

The absolute worst in store customer service. Not one employee said hi or can I help you or would make eye contact. With better deals online I’ll never attempt to shop here again.
I have had the worst experience with this company and if it wasnt for my insurance making me use them I wouldnt. They constantly get my orders wrong and today if I hadnt been paying attention I would have gotten them wrong again. Their billing system sucks so pay close attention to that as well. Employees dont even know what is going on with the customer and apparently no information is kept in the computer. Because we should be able to just call and say we need supplies. Them look it up and say yes its being processed will take 7 days. Done. But I just spent 30 min. on the phone with them and now am scared to get the order.
This company is top notch. Weve made several purchases from their store on Osuna. Theyve always been very helpful, knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond to make sure we receive what we need. Thank you so much HME Specialists!

This company is a stress you dont want in your life. The employees are constantly failing to submit prior authorization for new prescriptions. They dont tell you when your lacking paperwork and lie to you and say there submitting for prior authorization even though they really cant because your lacking clinical notes.
I went in this morning and they scheduled a same-day delivery. They never showed up and I will be out of town tomorrow. Called at 5 pm. Was told to leave a message. I was never called back. Very unprofessional experience in the office also. Customers talking over each other about private medical details. I wish I had another option.
They typically mail me my order of catheters rather quickly.
I am currently looking for an alternative to this company. They have horrible customer service. I called to replace my CPAP supplies in March. The supplies never came. I went down to the store to get the supplies today and was told I needed an updated prescription for them. When I asked why I wasnt informed of this when I called, the salesperson said they left a message on my phone. Turns out they have had the wrong phone number since 2012! They never updated it with my new phone number even though I gave them the updated information in February 2012.So I went to my doctors office and the doctors receptionist assured me they sent the RX in March. They resent it via fax while I was there. I waited 15 minutes and called HME Specialists and heard Well call you when we receive it from the doctors office. I told them I watched it being sent so I know it is there. He put me on hold and when he came back on the phone he said the lady that collects the faxes is 1 hour behind so they may have it but he needs to call me back when they know for sure.This is the third or fourth time Ive had issues with this company. The shear levels of incompetence and lack of customer service are ridiculous! I have called other medical supply companies in Albuquerque but they do not take my insurance. Can anyone give me other options? I am willing to file a complaint with the BBB, the ADA Office, and anyone else that will help those of us that need medical supplies. There is no need for ailing human beings to be treated so poorly.

My auntie has said nothing but nice things about HME. Every time she has an encounter with them, they are always so friendly and helpful. She said they are always on time, and always go above and beyond to make sure she gets exactly what she needs. Im so thankful they are the ones who are giving her her medical supplies.
Very disappointment with the unprofessionalism of this place. I ordered my cpap supplies 4 weeks ago! I call to ask for an update and they never sent it out!! It stayed in their system for four week. I need the supplies to get my sleep and to breathe at night. Apparently they don’t care about that. I call today and they said they will sent it out only to call almost an hour later to tell me I need a prescription renewal. Why wait 4 weeks to tell me this? I’ve never been so upset or disappointed with a company. I’ll buy my supplies at Amazon where I’ll get better business and I recommend you do the same or they may forget to get the supplies you need.
My son had a surgery a week agoI went here to get packing supplies for after surgery the doctor sent in they told me it would be sent to me via FedEx or ups in 1-2 days did not get the stuff called them again the lady told me it has not processed yet Ill receive in few days still did not get yet I had to go back to doctors office and get the stuff I neededThis place is horrible
Terrible customer service. You will sit on hold forever listening to god-awful music. If you leave a message, dont expect to get a call back. My doctors office finally contacted a senior person so I could get a replacement CPAP machine. Even simple tasks involve long waits on the phone. My doctor said HME is the best of the DME companies in Albuquerque, which is really pathetic. If I had an alternative, I would drop HME like a hot potato.
HME has been wonderful!! Granted, a few times weve called the front desk to place an oxygen order, the order did get screwed up. But once we established a relationship with the driver, he personally calls the day before delivery to see what we need. He always makes sure we have what we need as far as supplies. Reserving a travel concentrator has been hassle-free also. Great company!!
I have had nothing but frustration from this company... I had a hard time leaving a review giving them one star bc they do not even earn a star!The only reason I decided to leave a review is if I can help ONE other person steer clear of this company its worth it! Do yourself a favor and make sure with all of the changes with Medicaid that your insurance has other options so you are not forced to go deal with this company that does not care about medically fragile customers.
