It is a nice little ice cream parlor. Took the kids there after playing at a park. I give them a plus for accessibility with their wheelchair ramp and nice tables outside. I give them a 4 due to the high price point as it cost $18+ for 3 kids size cups of plain vanilla and one adult cone. Also one of my kids wanted to try a new flavor which as a parent of a picky/food sensory child is huge for the kid to want to try something new but they said they didnt have any small tasting size cups or little wooden spoons like other old fashioned creameries have. Id go again but have gotten more for my money at other places.

Cute atmosphere in downtown Algonquin. Ive had mango, blueberry, and Reeses peanut butter cup ice cream from here. The Reeses was my favorite and then I really liked the blueberry. Mango didnt have much flavor to me but I had it in a cone with a scoop of blueberry so because I ate blueberry first then mango may be the reason why it didnt have much flavor. I would definitely get Reeses if you know you like peanut butter chocolate. If you like fruity the blueberry was refreshing and satisfying. The staff was friendly too. Ill be back!

They have the best non dairy icream options I have ever had! I have never had a bad flavor of ice cream from them ever. The ice cream is the perfect softness and creaminess. The owners are also great friendly people. This place is truly a slice of heaven.

Great local ice cream place. Satisfied our ice cream craving after afternoon of hiking. They do have a limited menu because of Covid and no indoor access. Ice cream was delicious and they even have puppy ice cream for Fido. Root Beer float was awesome too.

My wife and I were visiting from Texas to see our family for the holidays and came across this hidden gem. The weather was cold but you can never go wrong with ice cream! Not only are they an ice cream parlor, but they serve a full menu of espresso drinks. All of the ice cream is made in house with natural ingredients and you can taste the passion that the owners have put into it. I had a great time chatting about their experience running their parlor for the last year and a half. Very nice place to hang out on a cold or warm day.As for the food, I went with an iced latte and my wife chose the cookies and creme ice cream. We tried several other flavors (Eggnog was great!), and wow you can’t go wrong with anything here!Cookies and creme - this is honestly the best ice cream we have ever had. Typically cookies and creme looks like vanilla ice cream with chunks of cookies, but this was out of this world. What they do is blend Oreos into a powder and add it into the mix, giving the ice cream the appearance of a chocolate base. The flavor is extremely smooth, is really reminds me of licking the creme on an Oreo.Iced latte - I am a bit of a coffee aficionado and I will say that their espresso is on point. The latte had the perfect mix of milk and ice, highly recommended.

Charming ice cream (and coffee) establishment in downtown Algonquin. The blueberry ice cream was my favorite: it was very creamy and flavorful, and it even had whole blueberries in it. The dreamsicle was exactly as advertised. The mango was also very good. Riverbottoms ice cream makes a great after-dinner treat for when you done at Cucina Bella kitty-corner across the street.

First time here, this place was packed. We got a sugar cone with pistachio ice cream & we got a free kiddie cone with strawberry for our little one. Clean environment, friendly staff. We’ll be back again.

My family and I love this place. We come here year round for ice cream and the occasional coffee. The ice cream is excellent. Also, as someone who is lactose intolerant, I LOVE the fact that they have dairy-free and vegan options that taste fantastic. If you find yourself in or around Algonquin, this place is a must.

Ice cream is great but....This place is always closed all the time even when Google says it’s open. The hours are abysmal anyways (who closes an ice cream shop at 8pm on fridays and saturdays???) and it is so annoying and messed up to always have your shop closed when it’s supposed to be open. Like today, I just drove there Sunday around 4pm and it’s closed. same old. I’ll change my review to 5 stars when it’s actually open for once and my time isn’t wasted like always.

Seemed like friendly staff. Very clean. But no coffee. We pulled over on our way home from a trip and there was no coffee.

Amazing spot! Bobbie was extremely welcoming and informative about their ice cream made in house. I couldnt be happier with the three flavors I got, pistachio, chocolate and peanut butter tag along! Shop itself self was very cozy and smelled of fresh brewed coffee when we walled in. I will definitely be visiting again soon!

Comfortable atmosphere with wooden floors and furniture and bright colors. The ice cream is tasty and relatively inexpensive - $5 will get you a waffle cone - and the staff is friendly. The only noteworthy flaw is that the counter only has enough space for about a dozen flavors. Also has a nice patio setting out front if you prefer to eat outside.

Every time I have been to riverbottom I have been impressed. They have some of the best traditional ice-cream around! I also had a friend who is vegan come with me there and they had vegan icecream which she said was amazing! Love that they offer that there! They have games there, a nice deck, and its just a great place to go! Cant wait to head back there this summer...ok who am I kidding, I cant wait to get some icecream from there ASAP!
