I just wanted to take this time to commend Jonathan Clarke at myHomedia. I had my home prewired for speaker cables/zones throughout the house. That said, with no knowledge of how the speaker wires were laid out inside my home. I went into the store and spoke with Jonathan. He was kind enough to diagram to me what the layout of what the wires would look like behind the wall. That said, after following his advice I was able to successfully get my outdoor speakers to work perfectly. Although, I am not a customer but the level of service that he provided and demonstrated. I feel confident going to him in the future for all of my home audio needs. Thanks again Jonathan!
I actually worked with their office in Allen, which did not come up in Yelp. We built a new home in Lucas and I worked with Jonathan Clarke, one of the owners. He came out to the home while in the construction stages and then made a proposal. I had been shopping for home entertainment solutions, so I was pretty familiar with products and prices. Jonathan presented a very detailed proposal for my projection system in my media room. Unlike other people in this business, he encouraged me to utilize some of the components I already owned from my previous system. He did not try to sell me on replacing everything.Yesterday a crew of three very professional technicians came to the house and installed the projection system and two wall mounted flat screen TVs.They were neat, clean and did a wonderful job. I would, in fact I have, recommended these folks to family and friends.
I contacted myHomedia to address anexisting audio/visual deficiency in my home. Ihad a superb high end audio system in a livingarea other than the primary living/media areaof our home. Our main television/video area ofthe home was served by an inferior system. Iasked myHomedia how (if it was evenpossible) to deploy my high end system intothe primary video room at the house. Whilefully expecting that I might have to make somemajor incremental purchases, I was thrilled toget the advice that they could essentially reuseall of what I had to integrate the high endaudio components into the target room,rendering additional expenditures unnecessary.They devised a way to take maximumadvantage of my equipment and turn the roominto a fabulous audio/visual area. It wasrefreshing to see a company provide that levelof (pro) customer consultation rather than justpushing for a whole new system purchase. Ifelt that they had my best interests in mind andwould do the right thing for my circumstances.You do not find that everyday in a provider ofequipment and services. When it is time for awhole new system or a second one,myHomedia will absolutely be my source.
The owner, Jonathan Clarke, came to assess our present system and discuss our issues and concerns with it. This system was purchased several years ago from another company. He is very professional, knowledgeable, and helpful. He did not try to oversell us with things we would not need. He then put together a proposal that was presented to us by VP Sales, Steve Clark. Mr. Clark was extremely helpful in explanation and helping us to understand what we were getting. He was very patient with questions we had as we are tech challenged. The tech representative arrived timely and was very professional and personable. He patiently explained what he was setting up, how to use the system, answered all our questions. He was very sensitive to what we needed for sound and was willing to set it up to fit our needs. We would recommend myHomedia to anyone.

I dealt with the Allen location off of Stacy Rd. Honestly I started entering their location to get an idea of what I wanted to do with my dormant media room (well - oversized storage area if how it was being used to be honest.) When I was offered a free walkthrough I accepted thinking I would probably use these folks to mount a proper screen (as Ive read stories on how this can be completely messed up for do-it-yourselfers.) The visit to the store was a good one. By the time I was done speaking with Jonathan, I felt very confident that a) I could see myself working with them for the entire setup and b) that he knew the quality of speakers I had and would incorporate them into my setup. He also knew I was set on a certain receiver that they do carry, but prefer some other lines. He understood and didnt try to flip me from what I had already researched. In the end I got a great deal - everything is 100% setup and running perfectly, and dealing with three different people (Jonathan, Ian, and Steve) was extremely easy. The installers were great and even modified a few minor touches here and there to maximize my setup. All of them have bore fruit.. I would recommend these folks to anyone. They are low-pressure, highly schooled in this industry, very competitive on pricing, and most of all make use of what you have in your setup to make sure you can keep previously invested hardware in the mix (if it makes sense - I dont recommend you try and use a 1990s receiver and speakers you stored in the attic to save money.)
I had MyhomeMedia hook up my media room with subwoofer and wire the existing speakers. They were very professional and did a great job. I liked how they set-up everything and also helped me troubleshoot over the phone in couple of instances. Micheal was the guy that helped me and they are very reasonable price wise also. I will not hesitate to hire them for my future needs.

MyHomedia is the best! I use them for everything TV, Stereo and Internet in our house. They are on time and very responsive to our needs. My son loves them for his enhanced internet power for his games.

We have worked with myHomedia on two occasions so far. The first time, one of our home theater components failed thereby rendering the entire system useless. They came in, made an estimate to replace the component and recalibrate the system, and 1 week later the system was better than new. The second time, we had them install a sonos sound system around the pool and update our household wifi for more signal strength and functionality throughout the house. From the time that they arrived (COVID compliant by the way), to the time they left was about 4 hours. We are really impressed, and will absolutely be using them to update other issues within the house in the next few months. They are professional, courteous, and everything works just as they indicate when they leave. Highly recommended.
Got 5 estimates from various home theater companies in the Dallas area, they were the only ones to actually came to my house (which is way out in the country 45 minutes east of Dallas, by far Myhomedia was the greatest distance from my house) check out my home theater room, listen to me, and discuss various options. They were super professional and I really felt they really wanted to earn my business. Was able to negotiate a good price (they cut me a break on labor) and they price matched various components I had selected. They even recommended lower priced items they felt did a better job than the more expensive components I had wanted. On installation day they arrived on time, did a great job and cleaned up. The system is first class, we litterly have a movie theater in our house and it rocks. I had installed a small system on my own in my family room (from old components in my old house) and couldnt get the subwoofer to work, one of the Techs gladly helped me out and had it up and running in minutes. I give these guys my strongest recommendation, which is rare because I can be huge PITA customer and be very demanding. Stay away from My Home Media and as others have said full Bait and Switch. The owner Jonathan came to my house and was an amazing stand up SALESMAN which he then transferred me over to his in store personal. Once it came to the install and schedule is where I started to see the disconnect. The crews onsite were subpar at the programming of all my TVS / Sonos / Speakers and equipment. They BROKE my livingroom TV on the reinstall which took 2 weeks to get replaced and had to fight to get that. I wish the owner would get more involved with the day to day of the installation and what is going on.

Total bait and switch. Went to the store initially and was informed they could upgrade my Projector to 4K with a great offer on the Epson 5050BU for $2400 and a new 4K pass through AV receiver for around $500 and that if I purchased both from them theyd work with me on the installation cost.They came a did a site survey in which it was established there was free access to easily run a new HDMI cable if needed and theyd send an estimate.When the estimate was recieved it was for an inferior 4050 projector, contained no AV receiver and was loaded with installation charges of close to $500. There was no explanation or apology e.g. sorry we quoted for the wrong projector here are your options.....When I pointed out the projector change and omission of the AV receiver they had determined was needed I was told they could no longer help with my project.A best they made an error, didnt admit it and then got upset when I pointed it out.

I engaged MyHomedia almost three years ago to design a theater room and whole home audio for a new house. They did a great job then and Ive been really happy with the balance of price/performance from the equipment and the quality of the installation. We recently needed to have some of the equipment replaced due to water damage and I again called on MyHomedia and they remembered me and my specific layout like it was yesterday - I think its important to point out the quality of their home theater designs, the equipment they sell, and their installations. It means you wont have to call them again until youre ready for an upgrade - well done gents, thanks!

The entire process from the first time I walked in and met Steve to the finished installation was terrific! Steve is incredibly passionate and knowledgeable about home entertainment and helped design a perfect poolside system. They showed up on time and the install was flawless. They had creative approaches to hiding wires during the speaker install along the roofline and the Sonos devices. They walked me through the setup and day to day management and left patio and inside of the house perfectly clean vaccuming up as the left. Amazing service from start to finish and they are a great group of guys!

Date: August 21, 2017To: Myhomedia & any of their potential customersSubject: Recognition to an Outstanding OrganizationWe purchased services and equipment for our new home in April 2015 from myhomedia (Jonathan Clarke, one of the owners). They were to prewire the house for 2 media rooms (one being a 120 projector with 7 of their speakers and two subwoofers) along with installing another media room, mounting 3 more flat screen TVs and installing security system with cameras.Came to work with Ian Chapman the other half of the ownership and one of their key employees Steve Clark during installation and final setup of all the equipment. They were extremely knowledgeable and professional. They met all cost and schedule requirements, and were easy to work with.After the installation we experienced some trouble with two of the receivers (Onyko) within approximately 8 months of purchase. Jonathan and Steve were able to get them repaired at an Onyko service center (both had lost HDMI video outputs).This month one of the same receivers lost HDMI video out again (Onyko reliability leaves a lot to be desired). Contacted the service center and Onyko neither would do the repair under warranty because the pre-wire was done in spring of 2015 and their warranty is for two years. The equipment was not delivered to me and installed until November 2015 which should have still been under warranty. Onyko will not stand behind their product reliability or warranty.HOWEVER myhomedia at their cost replaced the receiver with a better Pioneer unit.This company and individuals are great to work with and I highly recommend them for any service, installation, equipment purchase that you might be considering.Thanks myhomedia
