Very enjoyable experience! Friendly staff and caring. The lady that did my testing was very kind and listened patiently to the issues l was having with my eyes. Dr Fitch also listened to my concerns and encouraged me that he would be able to help me with glasses so l could see again. The gentleman that helped me with my glasses selection was also very kind and helpful and I never felt rushed and he told me to take my time.

Ive had the pleasure of working at Balfour Optical and continue to have my eye exams with Dr. Fitch. He knows all about the issues of one eye, specifically, and keeps me updated on changes. Its comforting to know he has the the best interest of my vision at heart. I also love the friendly atmosphere; the opticians make it fun to help me choose my next frames! 😎

This was a first in the almost 70 years of wearing glasses. I received an excellent examination and evaluation. Then I was given a choice of coming back in either 6 mos.or a year depending on my concerns. When asked what the doctor advised, she said she thought yearly would suffice at this time. She reported that my eyes had changed very little and I could get new glasses if my lens were damaged but it wasn’t necessary for my vision. How refreshing to find an honest person. I have had very slight changes in the past but always had to get new glasses. When I checked out, I was a cash customer and received a discount. The checkout person asked if I had Medicare and when she found out I did she worked it out and I paid nothing for the visit. Does this even happen. I have paid cash before but was never asked about Medicare and have always been charged. I am extremely pleased with the service but most of all with the honesty and courtesy I was afforded. Everyone was so good with my kiddo. We had appointments at the same time. He is 8, ADHD, HF-ASD. I was a little freaked about him going off on his own with employees. It went perfectly. He went through all parts of the exam and started looking at frames without me! And it was 100% fantastic. He had a ton of confidence, and they took great care of him.

Very friendly and quick! I went in for an eye exam and was able to leave within the hour with new glasses! I highly recommend!

My visit was very good and positive. Everyone there was very nice and really great at telling and showing me full details concerning my exam. The guy helping me with my glasses was very helpful and made sure everything was good before letting me go.

Wonderful staff to work with. They were very pleasant, taking time to explain each procedure they were doing on my eyes. Dr Fitch explained the results (graph) while showing it to me on the screen.

Dr. Schaeffer is very helpful, intelligent, & kind. My son is happy with his change in prescription for his contacts & glasses. I could not believe they were able to change out his glasses’ lenses to the new correction on the same day of the refraction appointment—super convenient. Overall it was an outstanding experience.

My fiancé came home satisfied with the ‘rare’ thorough exam. The doctor took time to show him pictures of the inside of his eye while explaining what they were looking at and made sure he was comfortable with his exam and his diagnosis. Plus they let him borrow LOANER GLASSES!!!

Very professional. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly and very helpful. The optometrist we saw explained everything very well and listen to all of our questions we had. I highly recommend this place if you need to get glasses or get your eyes checked.

Ive been seeing Dr. Fitch for years but my last exam with Dr. Schaeffer. She was professional and very polite. She explained an issue Ive been having with my eyes in a way that I could understand and she was patient. I was put into new contacts and I will be getting my glasses here as well. My last pair of glasses were 2 years ago and in a plastic frame with polycarbonate lenses. Ive dropped these glasses in the street while it was raining then accidentally stepped on them and they only had a tiny scratch. I usually get metal frames but Im never going back!

Balfour Optical is great.I’m leaving the US for an extended period of time, and they were able to get me in quickly before my departure. I was able to both get my new glasses (as of writing) and order contacts for my adventure. This is itself great, but the people.Wow.The staff in the lobby, I wish I grabbed their names, are fantastic. They treated me kindly at the front desk and the technician helped me find a pair of glasses they said looked good on me. They quickly got everything in order, said I looked “real fine” (my quote, not theirs), and got me on my way. I agree, I do look fantastic. The mullet really works with these glasses.In the realm of practice, the assistant (I do not know the correct terminology), was incredibly knowledgeable about what we were doing- scans, me refusing the weird drops that hurt, and weird balloon thing- was very nice and had a great sense of humor. She was such a fantastic person who, even early in the morning, was fantastic and set a great stage for the rest of my visit.Dr. Schaeffer, the newest addition here, was incredible. She was so kind, along with being incredibly knowledgeable about, well, eyes! She ran over the scans and told me about what she was doing. While I didn’t understand most of it, having a professional explain what they’re looking at proves they both care about their patients and want to make sure that you are treated kindly, professionally, and (without a better way to say it) in the right way.I walked away from this optometry office with a gleam in my eye. If this gleam persists, I’ll be sure to be back because that can’t be good.Highly recommended.

Very professional, very educated, kind, although I’m a senior I was not treated as one, which is not done in many places. But I was treated as a real “person” by all . Their knowledge & skills are to be admired. Dr. Fitch explained what was on the screen, @ explained why I have to wait until October for new glasses. One employees, Dr @ I had a good laugh before I left. Also want to complement all as the office was sooo clean

This place is awesome! It was my daughters first appt here and she saw Dr. Hollingsworth. He was so good with her. My daughter is 7 and was a little nervous. From the time the assistant pulled us back to when we were picking out glasses, the staff was amazing. I would highly recommend this place. And the best part is that they take Medicaid. Def will be going back.

We choose Balfour Optical since they are accepting of LGBTQ and they were able to get my husband and I in on short notice. The staff there was wonderful. From the girls at the front desk, to the ladies who did the eye test, the optometrist was very kind and took the time to show us the pictures of the back of our eyes, which is the first time an optometrist has ever done that. He explained everything to us and answered any questions we had. And the gentleman who showed us the frames and got us fixed up with new glasses was very kind and helpful. The whole team is simply amazing!!

Great place to get checked out and purchase eyewear. I see Dr. Fitch, and have for many years. He is warm and personable, and takes the effort to explain things so you can understand what is going on with your eyes. He stays up to date on the practice of Optometry (which is obviously nice) and has a good rapport with his patients. His staff is nice and very helpful. Balfour Optical is my choice for my eye care.

Our appointment was at 9am and the wait wasnt very long. The ladies in the back were great but the two ladies working the front desk were very rude and not friendly at all. By the way we love Dr. Fitch. Hes wonderful and always answers any questions we have.
