Cant get in. Website says walk in or reservation but when I went to the store I was put on a wait list and told it would be about 30 minutes. Its now 1 hour and 20 minutes later with no text other than the initial one letting me know I was added to the wait-list.Verizon makes it difficult to do business with them. Reliable network but hard to work with in person Everytime.

My mother-in-law went in there for a rebate and got the run around on how it needed to be handled through apple even though Customer service said it needed to be handled at this specific Verizon atore. She waited 25 minutes as the person she worked with just sat in the back. she came out after my mother-in-law asked what she was waiting for and was retrieved by another worker. Overall aweful experience, she waited 1hr and 15 minutes on the phone after because they didnt help her and then eventually got her rebate.

Completing any task here has always been a hassle and Ive only been here 3 times. Had to pay multiple security deposits and fight for them back, waited outside for an hour and a half because my name was removed from the waiting list, and now have to schedule an appointment just to return faulty equipment. Sad to say it but it will never change as it is a corporate store. I would recommend working with the other two authorized dealers in town. Youre more likely to get the service you deserve there.

Clean store and staff was very helpful. I little disappointed that Verizon treats new customers better than 20 year customers. Considering a return to a land line. Do I really need the electronic leash? Phone was top of the line too or three years ago and trade in is worth $26 dollars. Yeah...no. but if I was a new customer I could get a bunch off and top line phone. I get the way to draw customers, but where does retention of loyal customers begin?

I don’t really see the point of even having a brick and mortar store anymore. Any help you need will be greeted with a piece of paper with a list of number to call. Have fun waiting on hold for up to hours before you get anyone. You can buy phones online and everything else via phone calls. May as well end employees in the building and have everyone work from home answering phone calls. Maybe that would speed up your call times!

I scheduled an appointment to see about upgrading my phone, mostly because I wanted to see the different models to help decide what I want. When I arrived, they told me there would be a $40 in-store fee in order to upgrade my phone. For what? You can place the order online, but that doesnt provide the same level of customer service as being able to step into the store, discuss the various products, and make an informed decision. Instead, I never set foot in the store. I was handed a piece of paper with instructions for ordering online. That kind of service DEFINITELY isnt worth a $40 fee.

Excellent service. John came out to our car to get us checked in and to find out what are needs were... They helped me with my phone. John had a man outside screaming about who knows what. I say that because John came in with a smile on his face and a friendly hello. He never mentioned the rude customer.Mostly I want to say it was a wonderful experience. Johns service was exceptional!

If I could give this location a zero I would. Website says would accommodate walk ins but when we got to this location a gentleman came out. Was very disrespectful and stated they dont do walk ins and it could be hours due to appointments every 30 minutes. I was wondering if they had a device in stock was why we stopped... This gentleman was far from professional or respectful. We should of looked at the recent reviews before going said to see this location loosing so much business. If you call you just get a busy signal if you drive there they offer to get you an appointment in a week or so, if you call customer service they put you on hold for an hour and then dont help you. Absolute worst customer service on the planet.

Customer service at this corporate store is terrible. I came to the store, was not able to be seen, and ended up having to take off work to schedule an appointment. I show up at my appointment time and there is no one here. The store is closed. Awful.

We had Chohajo help us and he got me a new phone and I asked about getting everything transferred from my old phone and he just told me to Google it and didnt even help me with getting my number and stuff transferred when he shouldve done it in the store. Now I cant call, text, and my phone wont verify according to the My Verizon app. They wont even answer the phone when theyre open. Ive called 6 times in one day they you guys wont answer🤬

Went in yesterday with the bf to look at the new Samsung and iPhone. Was helped by Christian. He was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and dedicated to giving superior service. No matter how many questions we asked or how long it took. He went above and beyond getting us setup so we had exactly what we wanted. He even offered us a pretty sweet deal when they didnt have the phone cover I wanted. Honestly couldnt have asked for better service. A+

I love this Verizon store. Ive been with Verizon for around 13 years so Ive been in plenty across the country. The staff here is really helpful and Ive found that they dont push things you dont need as hard as a lot of the other stores.

Good luck getting any help here. No customer service, even though we stopped in two different days. Wandered around for most of an hour or just sat down at the bench and waited. Both times, employees stood around in groups, mostly staring at their screens. There was absolutely no attempt to engage or even greet us.

We preordered the iPhone 11 and weren’t told that a signature would be needed to receive this via UPS. It would’ve been nice to know that however, most of us work during the day and not home when they tried to deliver three times at 1pm. I made two trips, possibly one more coming up, to the Hull Avenue store when it would’ve been more efficient to have it shipped to the store! If you’re going this route, please allow us as the consumer, a drop off time to schedule or allow us the option to waive the signature restriction! I can’t hang out at home waiting on the UPS delivery truck when I am expected to be at work.

I was at the Ankeny Verizon store on Thur 07/30. I stopped in because it seemed like My phone battery was dying quicker than I thought it should be. The guy who helped me was a taller blonde guy but I don’t remember his name. I told him my battery percentage was at 91% and he said anything below 93% is very bad. So he then told me my battery would be replaced by a store out in West Des Moines that I’m assuming they must contract with. He gave me options of time frames to choose from so I chose the 5-6 option. So I go out to the fix it store And the guy who is the manager out there tells me he needs at least two hours to look at phones so that timeframe will not work and that they do this all the time and they know not to. Then he proceeds to say that he Can only replace batteries if they are 85% or lower. Then he says they have another store right across from the Ankeny Verizon store. So I wasted time and gas for no reason because this guy at the Ankeny store gave me all wrong information. Where does the training come from? It’s so ridiculous I had to do all that for absolutely nothing. I can understand if there was maybe 1 mistake but there were 3. It’s obvious there is no concern for good customer service.

I’ve been a Verizon customer for almost 4 years and have NEVER been so frustrated with a store before. I purchased the iPhone X and was told by not one, but two, different employees in the store that if I wanted to exchange the X for a different one, I had 14 days to do so and the only thing they needed was the phone itself. I decided I did want to exchange and decided to do that and add a new line so I returned to the store about a week later. I told the salesman what I wanted to do and he said I couldn’t do both at the same time, so I decided to add the new line and he told me to come back the next day to exchange my phone because they had “plenty” of the phone I wanted and would even hold one for me and confirmed they only needed the phone itself. The next day, I drove 30 minutes out of my way, without the box, and told a girl what I wanted to do and she told me I needed the box or I would be charged $35. I decided against it, again drove 30 minutes out of my way, returned the next day WITH the box, and then they don’t have the phone I wanted in stock. I explained to the salesperson my frustrations and he claimed they in fact, could add a line, and exchange a phone at the same time and had no idea why the person who helped me before said that AND confirmed I needed the box. I was also told they didn’t know when they would get more and if they didn’t get any by the 14 day cutoff I was basically screwed.Misinforming a customer is a VERY good way to lose business. I don’t know why or how it’s so hard for employees to convey the same information.Long story short, ask multiple people in the store the same question.. you’re guaranteed to get different responses. No one is on the same page.

We purchased a new phone on 3/10/17. We asked for Kurt as he had helped us with other things and was courteous and very knowledgeable.He is not in sales so he referred us to Zach. Zach explained the different phones to us and spent considerable time with us. They both were very courteous. I would recommend either of them as we had a good experience there..

If you need a reason to rip out your eyeballs, this is the place to go.Edit in response to owner:I do not have too much of a choice, I added a new line onto my plan, the lady changed my sons kids only line, for some reason. I asked he to change it back, and I asked if we were going to have to reconfigure it. She said we wouldnt. It has not worked since. I just havent had the energy to go back in and go through another 2 hour ordeal. You may have the best wireless network, but your customer service is dismal.

The employee helping us didnt let us know(nor did she know) that the Samsung S10 5G is a completely different size than the Samsung S10+. We picked out cases with her advising, and she grabbed screen protectors for us. Both the cases and the screen protectors were for the S10+. I was able to come back and return the cases since we didnt open them - but that was only because we found out they would be too small after attempting to put on the screen protectors first and realizing they were too small. I went in the next day and was able to trade in the cases, but they made me buy new screen protectors full price even though it was their representative who picked out the wrong screen protectors in the first place. She didnt have any malicious intent, but I would expect them to know what accessories go to what phones. I had to shell over an extra $60 and go in the next day because of their mistake.

Came in to have a SIM Card swapped out on my phone due to coverage issues. I came in a half hour before closing time, but should be plenty of time to do this service in that time frame. The rep that I worked with was very new to the process and not confident in what she was doing. The manager seemed less than engaged to assist her and he kept causally throwing out recommendations/wandering back to the back room to not be disturbed. The phone requires a reboot so I was told and it could take up to 10 minutes, so they sent me on my way. Turns out SIM card was NOT ever activated and I had to go the full next day without a phone. When I returned the next day with my non activated phone the manager seemed less than apologetic about the situation. When I asked what they could do for me given the massive inconvenience they offered to refund me one days worth of service.... Being this is my work phone there was definitely more value lost then just that measly amount not considering my time for 2nd visit.

Joshua helped me today and I could not be more impressed with the level of service and care I received. He spent two hours (!!) personally speaking to customer service on the phone, being bounced back and forth and having to repeat himself over and over with the phone support folks. He kept his upbeat demeanor and was very communicative during the process. He stuck with my issue 100% and got it solved! I have never had someone stick with it this long, and I walked in fully expecting to be turned away to phone support--that I had already tried for hours on my own with no luck. Nope! Overall I am completely delighted with how my trip to Verizon turned out and I couldnt recommend this individual salesperson more. Management jumped in a few times in the beginning and was very helpful as well (Im sorry I didnt catch his name!) and really Im just gushing now.I never leave reviews for places but truly this store and Joshua need to be called out for the impressive service.

When asked for the manager on the phone they lady would not put manager on phone. Have been with Verizon for over 20 years. Some of the employees at this store only care about the commission. There is no customer service at this store. When I did call Verizon customer service, she was very polite and truthful with me. I wish she worked at this store. Read other reviews, Im not the only dissatisfied customer. I would have given this store 0 stars if available.

Busy, minimal info posted about phones- have to use website on your own phone to get specs and even basic info. There is a wait to be helped. Youre best off researching at home and knowing exactly what you want or having narrowed down choice before you arrive. Sales staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and high energy.

Went in to store for an issue with my new ipad pro. The blatantly rude attitude from the girl who was supposed to be helping me was shocking. Instead of taking ownership of my issue and properly educating me on my options, she chose to talk negativity about Apple and their products (which Verizon just sold me several thousand dollars of). As I was trying to get clarity on what she was talking about she continued stating what I knew to be completely false information about Apple products. Her rude and dismissive attitude seemed to be an attempt to sway me from asking questions so that I could better understand my iPads functionality problem. Such a poor experience.

Have been a loyal customer for 22 yrs. I ade a special trip to the store this a.m. (30 min one way) to see about S9 Note deal going on. When I asked customer service about it in store she looked up account and said, yes but didnt know when it ended could end tomorrow. (Putting a little sales pressure, its all good doing her job) I said would be in this evening after work with my wife to do that. Asked if it would still be good tonight, (just to make sure) She got snippy with me and said its good now & will be tonight.. Go in after work to get 2 S9 Notes and told we dont qualify for that promotion & he couldnt do a whole lot to help. (Appreciated his honesty) Gave me photocopied sheet with 800 # to call during normal business hours.. Again been with Verizon since the beginning off cell phones, 22yrs. Currently have 4 devices with them have never been late on payment..Was ready to fork over the money & pay all the extra fees after spending $1400 for phone & accessories to be told that we dont qualify for promotion.. Did in the a.m. but dont this evening & I have to call # on sheet during normal business hours.. Needless to say we walked out without new phones & not happy with Verizon but hey, they dont care about good, loyal customers just new customers..

2/23/19 at 6:10pm. We had a terrible experience at the Ankeny Verizon store. I’ve been a manager in customer service my entire career and was absolutely shocked by the way my husband and I were treated. We walked in with intention to purchase an iPhone 8 and the sales guy grabbed one for us. Right before we were about to spend $600 on a new phone we glanced at the accessories. Because we are on a budget and financially smart we quickly decided we were going to pass on purchasing any additional accessories because my husband was able to glance at Amazon and find better prices. Approximately 30 seconds later, the sales guy told my husband that it was extremely RUDE to glance at amazon while in the Verizon store. Well...... truth be told it is EXTREMELY EXTREMELY RUDE to lecture and micro hover over a customer while they are just thinking through options for 30 seconds. Moral of the story is that this said sales guy spent ten minutes with a couple who were gladly going to spend $600 dollars on a new phone that ended up leaving the store with nothing but a TERRIBLE taste of the entire Verizon experience. Customers are not respected here!!! We will be sure to spread the word to ALL family and friends who live in Ankeny and drive out of town to purchase a phone elsewhere.

My mother went to this store 4 different times, and each time was treated badly very rude. She is elderly and has a hard time understanding these new phones but that does not give people a reason to treat there customers like that. She even complained to 1 guy here about how she was treated rudely and he said you probably deserved it. My mother is a very sweet women and not a mean bone in her body and shouldn’t be treated this way. I suggest going else where if you need help with you phone.

Jay Hanson is amazing here! I went in with my mom, frustrated because someone at the Merle Hay store helped her by adding 4 gb of data to her FLIP Phone that doesnt even have an Internet option. I went in to get the scoop on the new IPhone 6 and I was greeted by gentleman named Mike. He was very informative about the latest deals that VzW offers and he took care of me throughout the entire process. I had to order the phone and then return to get it activated and to turn in my old one. Mike was extremely pleasant and made going to what would be a chore very desirable. Mike went the extra mile on everything he did, I thought he was the store manager! Way to go, its reassuring to know that there are still people in this world like you!

If I could rate 0 stars I would. I traded in an iPhone 6s in OCTOBER. I never received any credits on my bill for my trade in. I went into the store twice, and the issue could not be resolved. I also called into Verizon to find a solution, and it took 3 tries to finally get a credit. Apparently, when you trade in a device the sheet you are given is an estimate, and in my case, the employee took my phone for a wrong promotion. Now that I traded in my phone, I cant get it back, and Verizon barely gave me more than market value for my iPhone 6s. I probably could have sold it online for double what they gave me. Do not trust this store with your trade ins!!!! Be careful going into this store as only some of the employees know what good customer service is.

Where do I start? From the minute I walked in Jay Hanson was warm, welcoming and helpful. I needed to update my Samsung Galaxy Notebook 2 and was disappointed the Note 7 was blowing up, so clearly couldnt buy that one and Jay helped me to select the safer, s7.Very happy with my purchase and with the service. Jay was knowledgeable, not pushy and I enjoyed the experience. Was just driving through IA from NY on my way to SF and this pit stop was exactly what I needed. I recommend this location (they give you free water too!) and Jay. Thanks again!

We arrived to a virtually empty store. The woman working was not pleasant at all. It was obvious she didn’t want to be there. We asked if she could move data from an old phone to the new one we just purchased. Mind you, we were the ONLY people in the store. She told us that she could t do that for us. Nor was she willing to Help us do it there so she could help us. All she did was hand us a piece of paper that gave directions. We have been on the phone with Verizon support for over an hour now and still having problems. I would not recommend this Verizon store to anyone. Bad customer service. Very unpleasant experience.

Worst customer experience went in upgraded one of the phones on my account chose the phone we wanted and completed the sale. Once the sale was complete the customer service was over the salesman we talked to started the data transfer and that was the last we saw of him. The store was not busy at all in fact we were the only ones there during the hour time it took to transfer everything. Nobody checked in the status of the transfer and constantly had to find somebody so the next step could continue as we were told not to click on anything that popped up on the phone and to wait for assistance. We walked out of there so frustrated we forgot to get back there sd card for the old phone along with a couple other items we were told we would get as part of the sale.

I walked right in without a 30 minute to one hour typical wait at other Verizon store that didnt fix my problem. Maybe I caught them at a good time. Anyway told them what the phone was doing and the guy told me what the problem was and 20 minutes later Im walking out with the phone repaired! Awesome! I would like to commend Bryan Livermore in this Ankeny Store. He was so kind and patient and polite while he helped me to get a phone. Buyer be ware! Lied to on 3 separate occasions with witnesses. Nearly ended up eating $175 fee for hotspot return when they lied about data rates and speeds. My home was without internet for 3 weeks because of their lies. Thank you Verizon for doing what this store wouldnt do. Best Buy is very close to this location with honest people.

One of the WORST customer service experiences we have had in a long time. We added a phone to our plan. The salesperson we worked with originally was very helpful. He told us in order to get a corporate discount we needed to come back and show a corporate i.d. and anyone could help us with that. When we went back to the store we were told the only person who could approve it was a manager and we would have to wait 30 minutes. When we asked to see the manager we were told no. No one would assist us and we left the store. Called verizon customer service line to be informed this could be easily done online, which we did. Never again will we step into that store.

Id give a zero rating if at all possible. Mother-in-law went there with my wife to upgrade her phone, and the flat out lied to her and told her she needed a bunch of stuff that she did not need (wireless charger, added insurance, new car charger, etc.). Made them return it all. And on top of that, they flat out lied to me about not being able to do a service (switching one phone for another for our lines), and even confronted the manager about it (because I contacted corporate Verizon and they explained to me AND the manager eventually mulitple times that they could in fact do that). Once caught in their lie, they simply played it off as well, we USUALLY dont do that sort of thing. COMPLETE AND UTTER IDIOTS/LAIRS! Would rather drive to a store 50 miles away then ever go back there again!

Worst store and owner I have ever dealt with. Ive been a customer over 15 years, and this time got a new phone via Verizon website, because in the past this store (only authorized in my town) has been little help and have told me I can do it all myself. So I order a new phone online (Pixel 3=$800), get it in the mail, it is damaged, I call support, they tell me to take it to my local store to be replaced and put a note on my account. I go in, wait 45 min (another reason I never come here), only to be told by an assoicate standing right next to the store manager, that he doesnt believe me that the phone came damaged, the manager said nothing. After he leaves, I ask her (the manager) if she routinely allows her associates to question a customers integrity RIGHT in front of her, and mention Im thinking of leaving this carrier over this issue. She says nothing, rolls her eyes, and walks away as if it is not her problem. Currently on hold with the loyalty department and if they cant fix this, Im gone and will never do business with Verizon again. Plenty of other bad reviews on here as well. If I could leave 0 stars I would.

It was awful. I have never been to a more disappointing verizon store. Disorganized with staff more interested in flirting or entertaining those already in store. Took customers out of turn and didnt even know if they had items in stock to help us with our disfunctional mifi. We left after an hour of watching salesmen who thought they were entertainers.

This store customer service is terrible. Always rude and cant answer basic questions. I had to call Verizon to get answers while I was in the store. The only reason this place is there is because its a corporate store. 0/10 would not go again
