We love the flavors, sizes, and pack chairs and sit in the parking lot by the back of our vehicle on nice nights. We also buy pelican bucks, easy gifts to add to egg hunts to birthdays to a surprise for neighbor kids. Highly recommend/friendly staff too, all masked.

I love pelicans and this is the 9th pelicans Ive been to. Service was wonderful and the staff member was very courteous and helpful. I would like to say though that it seems they do not use enough juice or they pack the ice too firm l because it seemed more difficult to eat and less juicy. I will say that I was not unhappy just wanted to make note of that thank you pelicans so much for having so many locations across North Carolina and for having such great service!!

My kids love Pelicans. The snowballs are fun and tasty. When we went tonight there was only one poor kid working. The line was really long as this kid was taking and preparing all the orders. He was working hard and did a very good job. They should have had more help for him though.

We have gone to pelicans for years and have loved it. However, recently, the service and quality has not been up to the previous standards that we have experienced in the past. We waited 40 minutes to get our order on this occasion. There were a few people in front of us, a couple of people with single orders and a group that had 2 people and a group of 3 people. Usually they crank out the shaved ice quickly but not today. And also this is the 2nd or 3rd time this season that the flavoring didnt go all the way to the bottom, leaving about 1 to 1 1/2 inches of unflavored ice in the bottom of my cup. We will go back, I just hope they can get back to the standard that we have experienced in the past.

The sea salt caramel ice cream on a waffle cone was delicious. I would get your ice cream or snow cone and eat it in the car, though, so you dont get eaten by mosquitoes at their picnic tables.

Its ok. The service was lacking and theres not much to expect but the girls had the lights off and we didnt know if it was opened. Then my friends snowball didnt have any flavoring in the middle so they had to bring them back and tell the girls working there. I think well get something different. Thats all. So just beware.

Shaved ice really isnt my thing, but my kids love it. They put plenty of syrup on the ice. I wish there was more space to eat. Everything is crowded.

I’ve been here twice the first time there was no one in line in front of me and him it took more time than it should have for an order that consisted of two ice cream cones. Their stuff does taste good, but it takes way too long.

Great prices with a wide variety of great flavors. It is a very nice location and the staff are very friendly. Defiantly a great stop on a hot day. There are barley any seats though so when its busy you have to go back to your car.

😔very upset coming here, we come to this place bc my kids love this place and as a grown adult, I love it too....I can keep going back non stop, the cashier this day, wasnt in such a good mood, the flavoring was allllll over the cup, there was a small crowd and I just felt like she was just trying to get us out of there by giving us things she slapped together...walking to the car, gummies fell off, ices were falling out the cup. Im sorry but I was wishing I went to my normal one...on New Bern the one that caters to their customers and take their time doing what they love...everyone knows we have to wait for the ice and each customer who wants to try and mix great flavors...we arent in a rush and we no it can be scary being alone.but take your time and hold the smartness...bc we are supporting you..

Love this chain. Usually try to surprise my wife with them every once in a while—she’s a big fan as well. Luckily, while this one isn’t close, we live only a few miles from another!

When I first came to this location about 2 months ago, it was very delicious. The last 4 times my family and I visited this location it has been awful. Each time I visit a Pelicans Snoball I spend at least $17-$20. This last time my total was $20 (07/22/18) and the flavor was only in about 1/3 of all 5 of the Snoballs I ordered. Not even halfway through the Snoball we all saw white unflavored snow. We couldnt tell it was like that at first cause we took our orders to go, and as we were eating them going down the road we had gotten too far to turn back around. I will not recommend this location to anyone. I will just return to my favorite one located in Siler City. This has happened too many times at this location and for that reason, we will not be back.

My daughter loves this place. Note they closed for the 2020 season on Oct. 18 and their Facebook page said to reopen sometime in March 2021.

My family and I went on a Friday night. Having gone to other Pelican snowballs we know they are the best but not tonight. The service was rude and sassy. The ice cream scoops were tiny. This is a one and done.

A little concerned. Small seating area with parking lot on busy street. There were hairs in the spoon holder. Flavors were okay to good. Had the fireball and it taste just as they advertised.

Great snowballs, but Im always baffled at how long it takes them to put a little sno in a cup and drizzle some flavor on it. Competitors that show up at festivals knock out 10-20 a minute while it takes Pelicans 1-2 minutes each, so the line backs up quickly with just a few customers.

I love Pelicans! The texture of the ice is fantastic, there are more than enough flavors to choose from, and its not too hard on the pockets. This new location is super cute and there are yard games you can play if you arent too busy enjoying your snowball. My family and I came here 4 days in a row while I was visiting and we will definitely be back!

Really good snowballs flavors and many choices for everyone (Ill be honest, sometimes a lot choices make me crazy), the new location is enjoyable. Just one complaint; the service is too slow, you have to wait 10 or 15 minutes in the line to be attended (like a Restaurant but in the summer weather) thats make no sense for me, is just a cup of ice with flavors. They could improve that.

Refreshing shaved ice in a multitude of flavors and reasonably priced. nice private location with picnic tables and camp chair. eclectic lighting makes for a fun and entertaining evening and customer service is great.

What is not to love!

I love this place and was going to give them 5 stars bc their stuff is always so great but the last 2 times they have messed up my order. The stuffed snowball is supposed to have slushie underneath and above the ice cream this is the second time its only been on the top and there was so much ice cream. Like Im talking maybe a bug scoop of sushi and thats it. Like thats the best part....im very disappointed. I was going to treat myself on my bday here but I think ill go to cook out id rather not be more disappointed then I already am going to be.

This may sound like a snow cone place, but its so much better. The ice is much smoother, and it never loses flavor. Highly recommended, but you probably shouldnt order anything bigger than a medium; the large was way too big for me.

Jury is still out on the new location. Some advantages like covered bench area is great if you want shade or to stay out of rain. But with just 2 benches it does not take much to fill. I saw some folding chairs. Maybe they set them out in the parking area (?). Nevertheless the sno-balls are yummy. Extensive flavors list including ones with no food coloring... awesome!!!

The snowballs were ok, not enough juice, and the service was poor. We were first to order when it opened and there were other groups behind us. She said she had to take everybody’s order before making anyone’s snowballs. She was the only one working with 18 people waiting. The Garner location is so much better!

MOVED - Pelicans is now just North on Williams past Salem in the shopping center with Liberty Tax Service. Theres an ordering window & a partially covered deck with picnic tables. Great service and great snoballs!

So happy to have Pelicans back in the Peak. We love the new location- they take credit cards, plenty of seating in a grassy field, and a place for the kids to play.

This Pelican Snowballs is slow, unorganized and there is only one person staffing this location. We waited over an hour for our snow cups. We will not come again.

This place has become my favorite summer treat. The owner works the counter and is friendly and welcoming. They have 100 flavors to choose from, a few canned kid flavor combos that may come with a gummie candy. Additionally one can add cream to a snoball, to expand the flavor list. Im partial to watermelon and my son likes rootbeer. Once he tried it with cream for a rootbeer float. He hasnt gone back. The prices are very reasonable, they welcome dogs, and have a snall porch to sit at.
