James and his mechanics at Elff Auto Center did a great job getting me back in my car, quickly and at a very reasonable price. I will recommend them as a timely, professional, and honest mechanic shop. Thank you
I took my Saab in, after spending several hundred dollars at other mechanics that couldnt fix the problem nor properly diagnose. Within 2 hours, they diagnosed my car and unfortunately it is a problem that only the dealer can fix. They, amazingly, didnt charge me a dime and even changed out my turn signal switch for free, an easy job, but one that any other mechanic would charge at least $85.00 for. They were courteous, professional and a breath of fresh air after my other experiences. I will definitely recommend them and continue to be a patron myself.
Best of America auto mechanic, outstanding professional with broad experience and ability! A workshop full respect and trustworthiness
Brought a used car, pre-purchase, to ELFF Auto for a pre-purchase inspection. $107 later we were given 2 thumbs up with the stipulation that the timing belt and a leaky gasket would need replacing after roughly 2000 miles. Bought car, one week later started having problems, brought back to ELFF and was quoted a $2000 fix, including aforementioned fixes plus much, much, more (that hadn’t been caught). Upon leaving to bring to a more reasonably priced (by half) auto center, we realized the front electrical system, blinkers and all, no longer worked after ELFF did a $200 repair on something else. After getting gaskets fixed elsewhere, brought car back to ELFF to inspect what had happened at their shop, and they charged $200 more, without warning, to INVESTIGATE the problem. Never asking if we wanted the service done or warning there would be a cost to diagnose. After being backed into a corner at this point, we paid, and 3 weeks later now have a oil gasket leaking. It is visible upon opening he hood, and certainly should have been caught during first inspection. I am beyond frustrated with the level of ineptitude of this “trusted” Asheville establishment. No attempts to right any mistakes have been made by ELFF. Further, it is bloody impossible to get ahold of anyone at the shop, which adds to the level of frustration.
I diagnosis and repair everything from Please keep it running another week to Ferrari, Bentley and Rolls
