Bouight a truck here a few months back and the engine light came on constantly right after I bought it. By law the dealership has to provide a vehicle that passes inspection, the truck failed. The dealership changed out the cats but asked me to pay half. I gave them an extra $200 and the truck still failed. They offered to get rid of the problem without actually fixing the vehicle and I declined. After about 6 times to my local mechanic it finally passed and 1 week later the light came back on and it was an emmissions code again. Then the ABS brake light came on and I took it to a mechanic. Every sensor had an issue. One had disintegrated, one was taped in and wired in. Changed out all sensors, $610. Called and emailed to discuss the fact that they had taped in the sensors and all totalled I had spent an extra $810 over the asking price and surprise, they have not called back. If I dont get a check for $810 from them by the end of the month I will call the Atty Generals Office.

I purchased a 2008 gmc envoy from Village auto sales. Gerry the owner is a good person. When I had a problem at the inspection station I didnt have the dealer plate so they wouldnt do the inspection so I called Gerry and instead of having me drive to the dealership he personally came to the inspection station and helped me out. Judy and I the who allowed me to test drive the vehicle I think his name was Jim were very nice also.

Bought a (lemon) car from them which needed to be fixed before I bought it. They fixed it. I took it for inspection. It didnt pass. I took it all the way back to Mass, they fixed it again. Now my car shuts off while driving it, less than 2 months after I bought it. Overall I had to get 2 tire rods fixed, ac, motor mounts, AND break boosters fixed. Mind you I paid 11,000 for this car. DONT BUY FROM THEM.

I chanced upon what appeared to be a well maintained truck on one of the various websites that dealerships/individuals can list vehicles for sale. I was initially hesitant because I dont live very close to Attleboro, but Im glad I made the journey.The dealership was extremely well reviewed on all the usual sources, which is one thing I based my decision on to check out their inventory to begin with. Every positive review is well earned and well deserved.I spoke with Gerry on the phone and casually set a time to come take a look at the vehicle I was interested in. I arrived and met him while he was out on the lot.The moment you meet Gerry you will be taken by how genuine and friendly he is. Im a professional salesperson myself so I tend to be, if not distant, then certainly guarded during sales interactions when Im on the other side of the desk. In this particular case however I immediately felt welcomed and comfortable and it was apparent there was a mutual interest in symbiosis.I test drove the truck and it was in excellent condition both mechanically and visually. I believe I mentioned driving the vehicle was analogous to slipping on your favorite pair of sneakers- I was as comfortable driving the truck as I was talking to the staff.Gerry and I came to an accord (ha) on price and set a date for me to retrieve the vehicle. Based on my schedule I actually called to change the date somewhat last minute to a day earlier- at that point, mere hours notice, and Judy, an extremely capable and helpful person, was able to not only accommodate this request, but go above and beyond what would be expected in every regard.I had the truck inspected at a local (to me) shop and it was in and out in hardly a few minutes with no problems, just as both Judy and Gerry had promised. Frankly, as a person that is also in the sales/service industry it was not only impressive, but inspirational.You dont need to take my word for it though- Just go visit. You will understand. If you see this identical review posted elsewhere it is because I want to give them as much credit as I can, so I will likely copy/paste it to another site.

My husband called and made an appointment to test drive a truck that he was interested in on their lot. My husband told him we would be there 2pm- 3pm and would they hold the truck until then. Salesman said yes they would hold it. We arrive at 2:40 pm and the truck was being tested by another person and the salesman took a deposit on it. Never got to test it after driving over an hour to get there.

First off all the cars are priced appropriately. Everyone there was extremely friendly and helpful. They willfully helped fix any of the minor problems I did find with the car. Over all I can say extremely pleasant car buying experience.

Absolutely Terrible Experience At Village Auto i really hope someone takes the time to read this. So we were looking to upgrade our vehicle and we thought village auto was the way to go we were completely wrong. I have never met someone like gerry he promises you the world and never delivers his vehicles are okay but not mechanically sound we bought a 2004 GMC Yukon from Gerry he claimed to go through the whole vehicle. So Far we have had a break line break a tire blew they put electrical tape over the abs light and check engine light i am contacting the better business bureau we are completely screwed on this vehicle.I hope someone stops this guy from takeing advantage of other people we work hard for our money for him to take it from us.

The worse experience ever! I brought the car paid in full “CASH” only to find out the dealer didn’t have the title so I couldn’t register it I had to wait a whole month for the title to come in needless to say the vehicle sat in my driveway for damn near 30 days I paid $6,550 for it and I’m now paying another $600 cause it needs to be fixed I’ve only had the vehicle in my possession for 60 days NEVER PURCHASE A CAR FROM “VILLAGE AUTO SALES”

Absolutely great experience. Definitely ask for Gerry. The other reviews are spot on. There was actually an issue with the used car I purchase and Village Auto Sales took care of it immediately, ensured that it passed inspection, and even gave me a loaner car.

Test drove a car that clearly had some issues. Had to fight with owner to get issues fixed and even had him tell us our mechanic was making up some of the issues. After taking it back to our mechanic twice he told us his mechanics finally found what we were talking about and will fix the problem. During this process the owner was hostile and rude. If we had not already had a down payment on the vehicle we would had left. Owner smokes in vehicles making them all smell like smoke. The car that we bought from him is now in the junk yard because it was a piece of junk. Ended up having to spend even more money and buy a different car elsewhere. Would not recommend Village auto sale to a friend because of the treatment and the quality of a vehicle received. The wife Judy was nice to us but jerry was a different story.

THE TRUCK WAS NEVER ABLE TO PASS INSPECTION!!!! THE OWNER OF VILLAGE GOT A STICKER ON IT THE DAY I PICKED IT UP AND I SWITCHED REGISTRATION SO I HAD TO HAVE ANOTHER INSPECTION DONE AND THE INSPECTION SHOP SAID THEY DONT KNOW HOW THE TRUCK EVER GOT A PASS STICKER PUT ON IT CAUSE ITS A TOTAL LOSS AND WILL CONSTANTLY BREAK DOWN WHICH IT HAS!!. ALSO THE TRUCK WAS LISTED FOR SALE FOR $7,995 AND MYSTERIOUSLY THE DEALERSHIP PUT $9,995 ON THE LOAN PAPERWORK!!! WHAT A COMPLETE SCAM!! SAD PART IS I WAS A RETURN CUSTOMER. Very shady, agreed on one price, tried to make me pay a higher one before signing papers. Not to mention doing repairs with the cheapest used parts you can find. Hell, they were fixing my fuel sender under warranty, created a fuel leak, and refused to fix it, 10 out of 10 do not recommend

The dealer is a really nice guy.. but some of his judgment calls are questionable plus he seems a little inexperienced at some of the business side of the game. I mean who lets his daughter drive the care a client is going to buy in a few days so she can accidentally total it? Which is what happened.

Purchased two used vehicles this past summer - one for my son to commute to college ($6K) and another for my other son to use to get to high school ($3K), after school activities etc. I had a lot of questions and Gerry was very upfront about everything and easy to work with. Each vehicle had several minor issues come up and the mechanic took care of them all without any pushback. Its always a risk somewhat when you are talking about purchasing a used car, particularly in this price range, but Village Auto certainly stands behind their sales.

I had been searching for a good deal for a year or so. The price was right and the car was in very good condition. I am from RI so they got it inspected in RI for me.Judy went on line and paid the Mass sales tax to save me a trip to the Mass Registry. They told me if I had any problems they would fix them.I have only driven the Prius a few times,this is my first Hybrid. They let me test drive the car twice and put it up on a lift.I was checking for rust and condition of the exhaust etc. Most dealers wouldnt bother, but they had nothing to hide. Thank you everyone at Village Auto .

Thats where I got my car and I feel they were very fair the price is good of course any used car lot youre going to only have a 30 day warranty which is no problem but I have an accident with my car they bought it the bumper brought it to Maaco to have it fixed I painted Im sorry have it painted and when they get it back from Mako theyre going to put it on for me and give me a price of 50 bucks an hour he said it should only be about 2 hours tops so I do think that that they are good

BUYER BEWARE ! I m giving them 1 star because there are no NEGATIVE ratings. Yes Gerry does seem to be a nice guy, but my experience was horrible.I bought a 2007 Ford f150 off Gerry for $7,000. The truck had 3 problems that came with it. It needed coil and wires, the front catalytic converter went, and the worst problem was that it leaked oil from day one. You gotta see my driveway .....Gerry charged me $220. to change the oil pan gasket and it did nt fix the leak. With my costs for the other problems I put over $700. into trying to get the truck right. I got so upset about the problems I just wanted to get rid of the truck. So I did. I had another dealer buy me out of my purchase from from VILLAGE AUTO. I took a loss but I did nt care. I have a really nice BARELY USED car now. And I have ended my nightmare at VILLAGE AUTO.Yes Gerry does seem like a nice guy, but I made a big mistake thinking my truck would be ok cause I bought it from a NICE GUY.I got along fine with Gerry even through my problems. But I can t say the same about his wife JUDY. She got tired of me calling about my frequent problems. When I told her the 3 problems I ve had all came with the truck, her only response was WELL WE DON T HAVE A CRYSTAL BALL YOU KNOW And when I called again to tell them my truck was still leaking she said DON T CALL HERE AGAIN My experience with VILLAGE AUTO. is over now and I took a big loss... But a big weight has been taken off my shoulders.I m sure not all Gerrys customers have bad experiences like mine.. But really check out what you buy from him. Especially if he tells you he bought the vehicle you re interested in from an auction.

I bought a 2005 Saab 9-3 Aero with 83k on it about a year ago (Feb 2015 I think) after I wrecked my Saab 9-3 Convertible. Gerry let me get the car checked out at a Saab Specialist (Conntech Saab in Rhode Island). We addressed some issues that were found with the car, he was open to fixing the major bits and was a bit flexible on the price to make up the difference. The sale was quick and I was driving in my new car in about a week. The car has been mechanically sound and hasnt needed much besides the standard maintenance and some quirky saab parts that have gone bad with age. At this moment my car has 102k miles on it and still going strong. Id absolutely by from Gerry again for my next car, hes a reasonable man and they do some sound work.Thanks for reading!-Daniel

My Review Of Village Auto Sales:4/9/14 Purchased 2004 VW Passat at almost $80004/11/14 Had car towed home due to a bad alternator. Seeing as Village Auto is in Mass, and Im in CT towing or driving Passat to Mass was out of the question.4/13/14 Had car towed to VW Dealership for an inspection ( another $100) to be told that my warranty wouldnt kick in for 15 days. Inspection found several major leaks including ; cam tensioner seals, valve cover gaskets, cam caps, transmission fluid leak, right axle seal. Also struts rusted almost all the way through, the serpentine belt needed replacement, 4 mismatched tires, and in need of shocks.Not to mention the faulty alternator. Car towed home.4/14/14 Car towed to Black Bear Auto, evidently a garage Gerry made arrangements with to fix the alternator and ONLY the alternator because according to him, there were no leaks ( must have been power-washed) and the struts ETC. were fine when he had the car 5 days prior -.-4/15/14 Received vehicle from Black Bear Auto with a rebuilt alternator, a new serpentine belt and battery.As of 4/15/14 A flat out refusal to honor 30 express warranty, not returning my husbands phone calls. Still hemorrhaging fluids4/25/14 Car towed home ( bad alternator again)4/27/14 Car towed back to Black Bear Auto- These people are rude and their motto of finally an honest mechanic is a load. Replaced alternator, however they ignored my coupon for a free oil change lmao. ( Never do business with anyone Gerry is associated with)5/5/14 Determined AC doesnt work.5/6/14 Something is screaming like a banshee under the hood suspect the power steering pump is going. Parked it.5/16/14 Car towed to VW dealership ( had to wait until I got paid to pay my deductible)5/18/14 Car still at VW dealership, they have offered me a loaner as they have no idea how long its gonna take to repair everything thats wrong withe vehicle.( Thats encouraging)Gerry Mahon is a slick, smooth talking shyster with an annual 2.5 million dollars income. Do the math.He also needs to spend less time SPENDING his money in Girlie bars trying to buy what he probably will never get and if he did wouldnt know what to do with, and more money being an honest dealer.My attorney is on speed dial.P.S Ive owned this vehicle for 40 days.......of those 40 days I drove it 20 and couldnt drive it 20 and still counting, with the cost of my car being 8000 that equates to me renting a vehicle for 400 a days......wow I want a hummer for that price
