Amazing store with a great selection of Filipino snacks and groceries. They have hot food available as well and the Adobo Chicken plate is so flavorful!
Great tasting Filipino food. Fast service. Friendly and accommodating staff.Lots of selection. We especially liked their dessert options. My personal favorite was the dinuguan. I will use their catering service for my future events.
If youre interested in or curious about trying Filipino food, just go. They close early so plan accordingly. The items on the currently limited plates are staples and full of flavor. To go only, currently. (04/21)Huge variety of import items, take a chance on something new or stock up on the hard to find items. Chest of in-house made finish-at-home frozen goodness. Fun and informative staff.Looking forward to the opportunity to go eat there with a fuller menu when they can fully open!
One of my favorite restaurants in town! This has become one of my go-to comfort food places this past year. Marlon is super nice every time my bf and I come in, and the food is beyond delicious with large portions. Buy everything and pick up the pink bottle of chili oil while youre there!
The workers there are very firendly and welcoming. They made me feel at home and the food was beyond amazing!! They give you a lot of food for good pricing. I will be coming back again for sure! I highly recommend eating here.
Great service, nice people, went there looking for everything ube related and was not disappointed! Halo-Halo there is great too! 💜
Very good pancit and lumpia. Owners are very nice and turn around orders very quickly. Food feels like home!
They are a friendly place to go and the Filipino food is great. I recommend to all of my friends and family.
Sinigang is so frickin good. The owner said that he makes the best and he did not lie. Adobo is very flavorful and tender as well.
The most amazing Filipino food Ive ever tried in my entire life.
First time trying Filipino food and it was great! This place have the best home made dishes ❤️ I would totally recommend this place
This review is just for the store, not for the restaurant. I hope to be back soon to try out the food at the restaurant though! I stopped by after finding out that they carried decorations for lunar new year. I found a beautiful Crystal ox for a great price. The employee was kind and helpful, even giving me a wrapped ox in a box. He recommended a popular Filipino snack for my daughter. They are taking CoVid precautions as well! Overall, my visit to this store was positive and I will visit again.
I love this place! very good food and friendly owner. I always stop by here when ever I visit Austin.
Chicken adobo smells funky. And gave me a stomach ache.
GREAT STORE FOR SHIPPING OVERSEAS AND FOR EATING DELICIOUS FILIPINO FOOD. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE
Tiny market with big taste!Chicken Abodo was great! The chicken was moist and tender. Almost fell off the bone. Rice and noodles were done just right. Lumpia was great too. Halo-halo was a tasty treat! The owner, Marlon, is a super friendly guy and will make sure you get something to fit your taste. The market portion is a single wall of shelves packed will all kinds of food stuffs.Four tables for eating. And thats about it. Tiny place.Try it out, youll like it!
Love going here found some really cute clothes for my family including my granddaughter. The staff was really friendly immediately greeted me as we were walking through the door. The store is clean it was not very crowded at all
Best Filipino food in Austin. Amazing lechon.
1st time Going to this little Filipino Asian store and the food and service was amazing. My grandson had the luppia and also ordered the chicken adobo With rice and pancit. It was delicious. The chicken fell off the bone. I ordered the poncet rice and the dish that is black. Im not sure what its called but is the most delicious Food. I had it about 30 years ago and have been looking for it ever since. Marlon was awesome and very knowledgeable and helpful. The price point is little high, but worth it unless you enjoy traveling all the way up North Lamar which would cost you time and gas. I highly recommend this place for all your Filipino and Asian needs as well as if you have any questions as they gladly answer and offer tips. Will definitely be back! I went to the store looking for black Vinegar and walked out with Dinner rolls, empanadas,, Tapioca pearls, Desert to make At home, Ship chips and delicious yummy lunch with lumpia. Highly recommend this store.
I loved their adobo, definitely will come back for more.
Way overpriced, I paid 50$ for groceries that would only cost 20$ at other store. Not going back again, they are ripping off kababayans in Austin!
I found some stuff I was looking for. Soy sauce, sesame oil, and some snacks. Very friendly service.
Authentic! Full of flavor! Because of Covid, have to eat outside. Owner is very friendly. Directed us to authentic Pinoy food in San Antonio, and Houston, aww
Chicken adobo, lumpia. Choice vegan poncit and vegan desserts go on the weekend.
Great service! Had exactly what I needed and got me in and out quickly.
I love this place!!!! The halo-halo and adobo are amazing!
Best Filipino food in Austin, Carabao Express is a joke.
I have gone there several times now to buy specific items such as Thai chilies, galangal and curry paste. I always had a really good experience. The people working there have always been nice. I will definitely return!
Friendly staff, interesting selection of items. The eggrolls are amazing!
This restaurant is the one I like best. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The crew is very helpful and the cooking they offer is so good. I never miss an opportunity to have a decent meal in this restaurant. Highly recommended.
Love this place! Owner is very friendly and their food is delicious!
Loved this place. We came to get halo halo and some Filipino groceries. We even got Goldilocks Ube roll. Lots of frozen Filipino staples, desserts, snacks plus sauces and seasonings..
Magnolia ice cream can be hard to find! This place has ice cream, along with excellent customer service, and all the halo halo ingredients you will ever need. There’s treasure in them freezers! I got a 6-pack of homemade ube pandesal with cheese, warmed them up in the oven when I got home —absolutely perfect. If you’re not familiar with something in the store, just ask! You might just find a new favorite snack.
Egg rolls (lumpia) and pancit were amazing! Highly recommend! Best lumpia I’ve ever had. Karen was so sweet and welcoming. Support this awesome, local Filipino spot!
This is definitely a great place!!! The food is delicious and the service is amazing! Would definitely recommend!
Really great food with exceptional service. I took my girlfriend there who had never really had authentic Filipino food and when I told the guy at the register that he made sure to fix us up. Gave us a ton of food at a really great price. Highly suggest this place.
Nice small store that sells Filipino and Asian goods. I go here to order food, namely the Adobe and pancit plates. The pork Lechon is really good too. The owner is really friendly and will tell you which treats are good! Great place to get snacks and food before heading home.
Being filipino and the only filipino store in south Austin this is the place to go for authentic filipino food and goodies. All filipino vibes made me feel like home. Highly recommend!
Really neat little place. We were recommended the spiciest chili sauce in the store and it was easily the spiciest thing Ive ever eaten. 10/10. Good selection, too. Well be heck.
Lots of cool stuff! Very friendly staff! Must try their brand drinks!!
Great local Asian mart!! Friendly employee and a small but good selection of Asian products.
Excellent authentic Filipino food, everyone who worked there was very friendly and helpful, Ill be shopping there regularly.
My brother and I stopped by to taste some authentic Filipino dish before flying back to Alabama/California. Oh my goodness, the lumpia was awesome. Not greasy at all and just enough crunch that made the experience satisfying. The pancit and chicken adobo tasted like I was back at my Filipino moms house. Great job!
Good service, polite people, great selection of items
The man behind the counter was incredibly nice and was making an obvious effort to keep everything sanitized as customers came in and out. Literally offering hand sanitizer as soon as you walk in! He answered our questions and had such good energy. Well definitely be back!
This is a good Filipino market but everything is way over priced.
Reviewing our Grocery experience: This place is way too overpriced. When you shop here for groceries make sure you double check your receipt before leaving. We understand that they have to pay a little more for tax, shipping, etc. One example is their Pinakurat vinegar the price in San Antonio, TX is $2.75 THEIR price is $4.99!!!! Hindi po siya presyong pang-Kabayan.
The food was bland and tasted if it was made by yesterday. Grocery was really expensive a dobled price you better go to MT RESTAURANT. Chips was 3$ that other store only 1$. Over over priced. Regret to go over here..10$ for dessert really? Goldilocks was 10.50$ was if you going to houston only 1$. Triple price.
My experience at this small Asian grocery was fantastic! They have a well curated selection of truly authentic Asian ingredients and food stuffs. Marlin was our clerk and was incredibly helpful and kind. They also have some delicious prepared Asian foods. We tried the sour pork soup and vegetable noodles, both were amazing. Strong recommendation for anyone looking for good Asian food or ingredients.
I love shopping here! They have AUTHENTIC items for a great price. Youll find things here you wont find anywhere else.
Went there with our 3 kids and it was well worth it! Got freshly made Lumpia (our children’s first time trying it) and they loved it!!Was also able to get everything else we didn’t know we wanted...ube ice cream, mango ice cream, frozen meats and many other items. We will be back and even more excited to hear that they cater!! It would be a great way to celebrate our anniversary with some home cooked meals!
Small shop but they have a good selection of things that i like. Like fish sauce, Adobo mix packets, 5 spice, Puto dessert 😋and long glass noodle.
Amazing place! We ate with the owners outside! 😎🌹
Tasty Halo Halo drink!
The lady that owns this place is so sweet. Prices may be a little high but it beats driving all the way to Chinatown up north. Plus she has cooked foods.
Great selection of Filipino food and the only place I was able to find champorado!
I love this place. Chicken Adobo authentic. Pantry ingredients great!
I had searched 3 stores for ingredients for my favorite soup. By the time I reached this store I was feeling as if I may not find what I needed. To my delight, they had exactly what I needed and then some. Had I stopped here first, I wouldnt have needed to go anywhere else. The owner was incredibly friendly and helpful. I shouldnt fail to mention the tempting smell of the Filipino food wafting through the store. Next time, Ill have to try some of that, too. It may be a small store, but its great. Its a convenient location, as well.
Super friendly and helpful! My husband wanted homemade Mochi for his birthday and the gentleman helped me find everything I needed! Great little find.
Incredible selection of ingredients and hard to find snacks. The food they make... My mouth is watering thinking about it!! I could eat here every day. Feels like a mom and pop shop and the treat you with a lot of respect and kindness. Love this place and would highly recommend to anyone looking for Indiana for recipes, or a quick bite.
Customer service was great! I’m vegetarian so I only had two options, but they were absolutelyDELICIOUS (noodles & egg rolls)!! She even offered to make my food fresh.I will definitely be back 😊 ( UPDATE: found out that the noodles are cooked with chicken broth, so no more noodles for me sadly )
Dude was very friendly and we ended up buying a bag full of drinks with our meals. I’m definitely gonna be coming back often
We have been going here for years. The new owner is great, cares about his food quality, and has even delivered my wife soup when she was pregnant and not able to drive there! Great food. Great people. Great service. Very authentic cuisine.
Awesome! So many choices, great prices. Little disappointed with the customer service. Thats why they lost a star. They should be courteous to the shoppers especially if there is a blind person.
Good Filipino food. Excellent puto.
Fantastic little South Austin gem! Go there for the food and leave with a better pantry. Their noodles, braised chicken, and egg rolls are great for a first timer, but Id also recommend the milk fish and crispy pork belly! They offer traditional Filipino breakfasts and dinner great traditional desserts. Dont forget to order the banana tapioca yes!
A+ service. The chicken adobo is🔥, make sure you get some.
First time eating Filipino food. Lunch plate was great- get the chicken! The owner was very welcoming and attentive. Obvious he cares about his store and customers. Worth trying for sure.
Great authentic Filipino food, conversations and groceries! Loved the environment and the personality of the staff! Will go back again! 💗💗
If you are looking for Filipino/Asian food this is a good place. They have a wide selection of food items. They also have a few tables where they serve some prepared Filipino food. Their halo halo is delicious. Try it out.By the way, the owner is very friendly. We have been shopping there for about a year now.
As always...My Mom and I had a great experience. Wonderful family atmosphere, delicious food and if you cant find what you want, they will special order it for you. It really is an authentic Filipino restaurant and grocery, money well spent. Plus, once you get there, you become part of the family. One cant put a price on that.
Best place to go for canned Bangus.
We came in not knowing exactly what we were cooking for dinner and they were very helpful in assisting us the right direction. Also the egg rolls were delicious !!!
Owner was very nice & welcoming. A la carte orders are made fresh! Good small selection off Filipino grocery items.
Great people. They are so so so nice, and that doesnt happen often. Very Good food. The noodles are devine. Sooo delicious.
Great selection for such a little store.
Pretty neat place. The owner is super nice and friendly. The egg rolls were really good and they have some great things they sell.
Had their pancit. It was good but it only had carrots and green beans (I think). I guess there are different ways to make it. I would have enjoyed more ingredients. Their store did have some hard to find items which was great!
A great place to pick up Filipino products.
My go to when I need lumpia wrappers!
Excellent pancit, chicken adobo, and loompia.
Ripped off. Overpricing and the food is salty!
Great food and the customer service was top Notch..You gotta hit the spot for some authentic pinoy food and conversation!!!
These guys are great! Super friendly and had everything I needed. Also, it is a locally owned business. It’s worth it to go in and have a look. I will definitely be back
Recently purchased Thai kefir lime leaves from mart. They were packaged from MT Supermarket with price of $2.63 but scratched out and marked over with $9.99. To add insult to injury, the date on package of leaves was early December. The ridiculous part is when questioned he told me he was the distributor and bought the leaves in Houston. Guess he thought I was illiterate.Shame on him! Dishonesty and price gouging - not cool.Buyer beware!!
I spent hundreds here and learned the hard way that they sell expired items. It’s quite a drive for me to come here that’s why I buy stuff in bulk. Unfortunately, this is enough for me to not come back. I’ll make the drive to MT market where they usually get their stuff anyway.
If you dont care about how looking luxury restaurant, and looking for authentic Asian food just go to this place, 100% recommended for food lovers
Great service and food! Small seating area but comfortable enough to enjoy some good cooked Filipino food.
Nice place with good food, the guy behind the counter is a great salesman, but I dont remember the shelves having any pricing whatsoever. As I recall, only the restaurant items had known costs.
Really cool place. They had every ingredient needed to make your own Ramen. Owner was super helpful.
Im so grateful to have found this market right by my house! The food is simply delicious and they are super nice! Ill be back!
