Less than 1 star if I could. Our storage unit was broken into barely a week after we got it and someone put two locks of their own on it. By the time we got those cut and more of our own on, half our stuff was gone. We asked for security camera footage and was told the video guy was on vacation for a month only to be told our area had no video cameras. The lady just said sorry. Its a thing now with COVID. Absolutely no help at all. The gates are open all the time. DO NOT STORE HERE!!!

I would give less than 1 star is possible. I had someone cut two locks to steal my yeti cooler/seat and cut one lock to steal my trolling motor controler. The very polite lady in the office said, so sorry. I hadnt checked on my boat since the big freeze and it was too big a hassle to review the security camera footage for the 5 week duration. I am curious if the thief took other items from other renters? I am out $1500....

Easy to get to your unit, all on the first floor. A little pricey though. Old school Austin classic location.

A little hidden but reasonable.

It has been many many years since I rented a storage space here. Judging from the pictures and the descriptions from reviewers, it hasnt changed at all. The units, although large, are as basic as it gets. The walls do not go all the way to the ceiling. This is probably good for ventilation but its not going to keep out vermin of any type. Besides, how would human vermin know what is in your unit? Security seemed to be adequate. If you have a lot of things that cant be destroyed by roaches or rats or mice, this place is a very good inexpensive choice. My only issue with the then owner was that she expected me to practically power wash my unit before she would return my deposit, and she was very nasty about it. When I rented there, there was no water and no electricity.

When I was moving in I had no one to help me accept a friend who is in a handicap wheelchair I set up a couch inside there for her to sit down while I was moving and her to watch my stuff thats what came by saw her accused us of sleeping in there which was a lie they had no proof so I was evicted without even any warning or give it a chance theyre very unfair. The rent is very high. Considering my circumstances and my friends situation in the wheelchair they were unwilling to work with me and I do not consider them to be very professional.

Love the atmosphere here and attentiveness of the facility. The mom and pop feel make it so much more comforting for me to leave my things there knowing they will be safe!!

Kathy made repeat errors and was unclear about fees and very rude during a telephone call to resolve a mistake of hers (a call that she made two days after I was told I’d hear from her).

Great staff ! I leased a unit here for a couple of months and the staff was very helpful and professional. The units are not the most modern but they get the job done if you need ground level storage access. This place has a true Texas Mom & Pop feel! Thanks Kathy & Kevin for all your help.

I help a friend who has a storage locker here the staff is really helpful and you do have to abide by their rules. At least they have rules that are clear. The lady I was helping had not been put on the list of people to enter the storage locker so they would not let us in all though weve been there the week before. They had by accident put a second lock on her locker because they had to rate increase of 2 to $4 per month. We called her son and he was able to fax a signed notice that his mother could access her locker. At least you know no one else is getting in while youre not there!

Units are unsafe and not maintained. roof and doors are rusted and items inside will be damage by rain. You differently get what you pay for there. Cheaper in this case is not better. Let me just say read my review, its just my working knowledge. Please remember you have been giving a honest review and truly your stuff is not secured or safe. I will give you one fact. Take a look at any unit and you will see the only thing separating your valuables are sheetrock from the next unit. Think about it, let that sink in.

This place is no longer safe and the management is awful. There are also much nicer and cheaper options available now. I was a tenant for almost 10 years with never an issue and always paid on time, but this week I was accused of speeding and threatened with immediate eviction. I was not speeding. I was pulling a 29 ft fifth wheel and it is impossible to go fast in the facility with the many big storage buildings, the multitude of turns, and the bumps/dips in the drives from uneven ground along with speed bumps. I was also told I had been warned multiple times about speeding which was totally untrue. A guy approached me ( I had no clue who he was at the time) when I pulled in after dark to park my rig. He never introduced himself (although later I found out he was the guy on site at night), and immediately accused me of speeding, told me to slow down, and later after I told him I had not been going fast, he threatened me with eviction. He was also carrying about a 10 foot stick or pole (it looked kind of like a staff). In any case, he scared me enough I called my dad and had him meet me to unload my rig. I also actually dialed the police a couple of times, and probably should have followed through with the call and getting them on site in hind sight. After this confrontation and having been so frightened, I decided I was moving my rig regardless. I returned the next day with my friend to cancel my lease and get my fifth wheel. My friend witnessed the same guy again verbally assault me.I have now moved my rig and have another lease agreement with a beautiful facility and the best part is I am paying allot less for a bigger, covered parking spot that is in a much better area. I have 24 hour access. The owners live on site and are very nice. So, my recommendation is tostay far away from Burnet Road Storage.

The management is not responsive to inquiries. You can email a question, receive a response but it never answers your question or shifts the blame from them to you. This is the first time I have ever written a negative review for a business so the service is obviously disappointing. If I had known that they would continue to increase the rental prices I would have never used Burnet Road self storage. This is likely true for anyone that is looking for a long term solution when you leave the area for contract jobs or grad school which is going to last more than a year. Long story short: unresponsive management, increases in your rental prices probably every year, poor customer responsiveness, and a general inflexibility with regard to any request. Also, it seems that they arbitrarily raise your units rental charge based on how they feel about an individual.tl;dr if you expect to store your belongings for more than a very short period of time, this is not the location for you.By the way, please look at the responses of management to the concerns and issues that customers are posting about this business. The responses are defensive and then they go on offense. Not only is it not a healthy, positive and customer-friendly response, it only reinforces some of the comments made in these reviews. Perhaps the managers, staff and owners should pause, reflect and look at why people are frustrated instead of lashing out.

This place was gr8 when the Fishlers were here.

I leased here because I had no other options at the time... But upon calling, the girl who answered said no reservations over the phone, cant hold a unit, etc. Having no other options, I asked to speak to someone who could maybe make an exception... The manager grabbed the phone and before I could even say hello how are you, she immediately, with an Attitude shut me down and said Sir, you have to be here in person. Ok, so I was curious if there was a way to reserve the 5x10 since its your last one. No sir, just come in when your ready to lease and hopefully well have what you need? Oh, worst case is you can lease a 7x10 which is $18 more per month... Thanks for your time B**** ;) Cant wait to do business with you! (rolleyes)
