Placed an order for gender reveal cupcakes. Pink and blue swirled icing and the gender on the inside. The cupcakes were delicious. The icing was my favorite. When I arrived to pick them up the icing wasnt correct. The girls were able to fix it but we had to wait 45 minutes for the correction. Overall, its a very nice bake shop and the gender was correct on the inside!

I just ordered an assortment of baked goods for delivery for my moms birthday along with information about the gender of my baby thats on the way. The order was put together quickly. The happy birthday message and balloon about baby looked great! And my mom says it is delicious. Also, everything was a reasonable price. Thank you.

The cupcakes are amazing!! I had the vanilla and my daughter had the red velvet. They both were delicious! They even tasted better the next day, still super moist!! The buttercream cream icing is perfect, not too sweet, just right!

I have purchased items from Jaybear on several occasions because I have a dairy intolerance and they make vegan treats. Most recently, I trusted them with making a birthday cake for my daughter’s sweet 16. It was short notice with less than a week before the event but Jami was very accommodating and made sure to get all of the details prior to beginning the baking. Not only was the cake beautiful, it tasted wonderful too! I will definitely continue to use them for any future baking needs.

I ordered a vegan cake without any artificial dyes and some other ingredients and they were able to pull it off! I gave them an inspiration photo and they made a delicious cake that looked pretty dang good! They were professional and super accommodating to our needs.

Jaybear was one of the first vendors that we signed for our wedding! We were planning the wedding from out of town, and they were able to accommodate us on a weekend with short notice for a tasting, and we loved their flavors and offerings. As is the case with wedding planning, it can be high pressure, at times intense, and stressful. Courtni and Jami were the pair that we needed to bring calm, humor, and confidence as we partnered with them for our baking needs. They were so patient working with us (mostly me) on the design of the wedding cake, even when it changed a couple of times based on Pinterest pictures I found. They also helped me create a surprise cake for the groom since his birthday was the day after the wedding. The cake, mini-cupcakes, and groom’s cake turned out beautifully, and they set up the display for us at the venue. We chose to use a combination of red velvet, lemon, strawberry, vanilla, and death by chocolate on the cakes and mini-cupcakes. Everyone loved it!

Omg! You guys I have been craving German chocolate cake for a minute now, so I’m like a whole cake may be to big. I decided to do German chocolate cupcakes 🧁! When I tell you the taste,presentation,and the moist of the cupcakes were amazing!!! They responded quickly they kept in touch with me through out the process very professional!!! My fiance surprised me with an edible arrangement for my bday. Needless to say the fruit was bitter, chocolate barely covered the berries and the pineapples you couldnt even bite into. The core of the pineapple was used instead of the softness of the pineapple. I was disappointed because he wasted money. Now, before I posted this I reached out to the company to first to see what they could do or if anything they would offer. Spoke with Courtney Johnson (as I messaged them via Instagram)and she informed me that it was a third party so she would get back. That was 3weeks ago. NEVER AGAINI DO have a pic but not sure of how to upload.

Sooooo my Sis told me about this place and BABAY... she aint neva lied. Their cupcakes are on POINT. I mean where have yall been hiding. The triple vanilla cupcakes were super fluffy and so cute. They had the key lime tarts she was telling me about but I didnt know they did Fruit dips. Those apples, strawberries and dipped pineapples were sooo good and super affordable. I just may use those as my next party favor or definitely for Mothers day. I cant wait to go back!!! Keep it rocking ladies :)

First time trying them and last time trying them. Awful that’s all I can say. I ordered four triple vanilla cupcakes and I’m not even sure what I received. The cupcakes had this very dark icing which I hate and you couldn’t even tell it was vanilla. I guess I was given the wrong order because most vanilla cupcakes usually are accompanied with vanilla icing. Very disappointed!

Ordered a wedding cake from there. Quality from the taste tests were drastically different t from the cake.We ordered a Dutch chocolate layer on bottom and a strawberey on top.Not sure what they brought, but it wasnt what we asked for.My wife has cooked and baked with gluten free items for over 10 years and never have I tasted a grit texture in her cakes or breads.Thats just a show of poor craftsmanship.I think this bakery should stick to gluten ans leave the complicated stuff to people who actually leave with it only a daily basis.Really disappointed, if youre ordering from them and youre gluten free, stick to cupcakes and stay away from strawberry.They dont have the skill for it.

We got iced sugar cookies for my daughter’s and dad’s birthdays here. They were delicious and SO fresh! They have an easy ordering system—I was able to order all through Facebook Messenger. I love when a company is very responsive, and they really are! Even when they aren’t open, someone is responding through Messenger. That means a lot. They also were happy to do curbside delivery, which helped me out a lot. Great service and delicious cookies!!!!

OMG! My birthday cake was a hit! The owners are just as sweet as the cake. They were very professional and they listen to your wants and needs to make sure they accommodate you well. They totally executed with what I wanted. The cake was moist and the icing was perfect. In Memphis there’s a TON of people that make cakes but this company is easily my Top 3 choice for every occasion big or small.

Wanted to send my brother a cake and banana pudding for his birthday while I live out of state, and the ladies at Jaybear were more than accommodating! They delivered the goods, which my brother said were delicious, and were so helpful during the process. Would definitely use them again!

We purchased cake pops for Memphis Merit Academy’s Ribbon Cutting ceremony and loved the finished product. The cake pops were moist and just as we imagined! I love the fact that all I had to do was describe what I wanted and Jaybear delivered! You will not go wrong with the red velvet cake pops!

The first time I used Jaybear, it was for my 54th birthday and I included my granddaughter as well they made us a buttercream frost Unicorn cake along with the various colors on the inside. It was delivered and it was gorgeous the cake was delicious & moist! There was none left I would definitely recommend them again and again!!!

Wedding cake disaster!I have had a wheat allergy for almost 10 years. I first tried them and was initially impressed with the cupcakes we tried, and so we were excited to book them for our wedding.We paid ~445.00 for a two tier simple cake. Which for the design and fondant was a bit overpriced.We requested the top layer as strawberry and the bottom layer as decadent chocolate cake.Strike one. They were suppose to arrive at 5 and arrived 10-20 minutes late.Strike two: The top and bottom layer were a weird strawberry chocolate blend or a poor German chocolate cake...Im not sure what it was really, but I dont appreciate Experiment blends on my Wedding cake!Steike three: The texture was gritty and dry and the cream was oversweeten...a complete let down.People threw the cake away barely eating it.You only intend to have a wedding once and so to have this ruin has put me off completely...and they offer to refund us $75.00 of the $400+ we spent and a gift card to buy from their store.Thats great customer service for you. Never again will I waste my money there again.Thanks for ruining my only wedding cakeCheers,

The service is fantastic, but not nearly as sweet as their cupcakes. Unfortunately for me I got the last two cupcakes. The strawberry was wonderful. I recently had the Chocolate, Vanilla, and Red Velvet cupcakes from this amazing Bakery. They are the absolutely best I have ever had. You can tell these are homemade and are very moist and delicious. The shop told me they use family recipes that have been handed down through the generations. It sure shows! I follow this business on Instagram. They posted cinnamon rolls that looked delicious. I ordered some for my Sunday school class. To say these were delicious is an understatement. They were a hit! The whole class loved them and thought I had made them. I couldnt take credit. They are homemade and have the perfect amount of cinnamon sugar goodness. They are also huge. All of this and Jami is an absolute dream to work with. She emailed to make sure I remembered my order. She checked to see how the class liked them. You can just feel love radiating from her. I will support this business and I encourage you to do the same!

Originally I decided not to do anything for my birthday because of Covid 19; however, I decided not to let Covid 19 ruin my birthday and chose to have a small celebration at the last minute. It was difficult to find a cake vendor to accept me as a last minute customer. Thankfully I ran across Jaybear Bake Shop. The process was smooth from the beginning to the end. The owner assured me that my last minute order was not an issue and guaranteed me my cake would be ready on time. And indeed it was! The cake was so moist and fresh! My family and I ate cake that night, the next morning for breakfast, and the next afternoon for lunch. I am so happy with my experience from this bakery. Not sure how happy the scale is going to be when I weigh myself again.....LOL

Seriously delicious goodies. I have been meaning to try this place forever and stopped in a few months before the pandemic and OMG!!! I absolutely loved it. My fav was the macarons. I came twice in the spring when they were changing them. I just wish they had more. Last week their unbelievable cinnamon rolls caught my eye and i had to stop in to get a few.I will be calling them soon to put my order in because the cookies & cream macarons and the salted caramel ones were to die for!!! I am looking forward to more things to try especially some of the fall flavors I have heard so much about. Yummy yummy in my tummy. I will DEFINITELY be back soon!!!

Local emerging business, gradually getting its ducks in a row. This is one of the few places in Bartlett that has gluten free options. The cupcakes I had were delicious—but the two times I have returned for more GF goodies, they were already out.

Cakes here are delicious. We brought a photo cake for a farewell party and it was delicious. We also bring cupcakes frequently to office events, always delicious. Definitely recommend this shop for any bakery items.

Bought some brownies & cookies from this bakery a couple of weeks ago that were quite average, but found myself needing to find some carrot cake last Saturday after finding that 3 other shops were out or had closed early that night. Called in and spoke with who I assumed was the owner at two minutes before close and begged them to stay open for literally 4 more minutes, as I was right down the street. Cash in hand, driving fast, I have the owner/employee actually think about it for about 5 seconds with a long ummmmm... obviously thinking about it. Eventually I get a No... I dont think so.There once was a day not long ago where mom & pop shops would go the extra mile, or even just the extra 4 minutes, and customers were loyal to those who took care of them. Next week I need a large birthday cake, cookies & cupcakes. Guess who Im not buying from...

Needed to wait for my appointment in the same are. Went in spent $4 on a weak cup of coffee and a very SMALL turtle brownie. It was not much bigger than the pecan on top. Very grainy texture and tasted like pure sugar. No Carmel or chocolate 🍫 flavor at all. Hardly any selection available. Feel like I came in at the end of the day not the start.

I placed an order for my daughters birthday cake with JAYBEAR this past November. I must say this cake was so beautifully decorated and was so delicious. My family loved it and my co workers loved the flavor (it was Vanilla). I have tried other places in Memphis in previous years but will say that JAYBEAR is where I will be ordering my cakes. In response to your comments, I would have no way of knowing what product of yours to order since the selection, although seems large, has for the most part been unavailable for purchase except by special order. If I may suggest putting together a sampler box for sale with small samplings of some of your best sellers to give those of us who want to sample your wares a way to do so without it being hit & miss. IN a sampler I am sure there would be somethng that would appeal to any taste. Best of Luck with your business. I dont like leaving negative reviews and I was very excited to try this place but when I came in the selection was literally maybe 5 or six single things at most. I bought cupcakes for my husband and I. Im sad to say after tasting them they were thrown away. They had this weird gummy texture and the frosting tasted off. Its disappointing because I was excited to try them and at $3 a cupcake they could have at least been ok. Maybe it was just an off day but never again for us.

I went to Jaybear about a week ago because the other cupcake shop was sold out. I ordered a strawberry cupcake. It tasted like it was from the box that you buy at the grocery store. It was dry and overbaked. However the icing was ok. My daughter order a cake pop. It was very small and uneven. This was my first time here and im always looking for bake shops in the area to try.

If i could give zero stars i would, before i ordered my cake i looked through the reviews and asked around and always heard great things of JayBear. Unfortunately, my experience was not great. I had been emailing the shop and spoke on what I desired for my birthday cake, I had made it known it would need to feed at least 20 people, when i received the cake it was smaller than a water bottle... I understand that you can not recreate another cake from a picture shown but I would have expected a bigger cake for the price. When I had gotten the first offer I had for a different cake, a single tiered cake instead of 2, they had told me they would just change the size of the cake of took half the price off. Upon receiving my cake, and reading off all the charges I was given my cake should have been bigger. The way my cake was portrayed through email, and my invoices my expectations were not met. I paid $136.56 for my cake, with expectations that were falsely advertised, and received a cake that was enough for a child, and only worth $25, barely even that. I appreciate JayBear refunding me $25 for two decorations that were added to my cake but that does not help nor support the fact that I paid almost $200 for a cake that Kroger or Walmart could’ve done cheaper and most likely bigger. I believe that it was unacceptable, falsely advertised, and was not clear during the process of creating my cake. Will most definitely not be returning, and can only hope that this mistake won’t happen to another.

I ordered a cannoli and a butternut cupcake. I got a stale canolli shell with cream cheese filling, and a lemon cupcake. The lemon cupcake was good, and the cream cheese filling was good, just isnt a proper cannoli. Also I asked 2 basic questions of the young lady working up front, which she couldnt answer, and she did not offer to get me the answer. She was nice, just not very helpful. Good luck Jaybear!
