Yesterday, we had an upgrade service call from Guardian, in the form of Trace Turpin. He arrived in the schedules time slot and within an hour had the system up and running. He spent time with us to make sure we digital dinosaurs had a good grasp of the keypad. Very competent tech. Thanks
Guardian Security installer Trace Turpin came out to my business today to update our security system. He was very professional, observed COVID protocols, and was non disruptive to the normal operation of the business. Fantastic service with clear and concise instruction.
Trace Turpin updated our security system today adding mobile access and discontinuing land line access. He was knowledgeable, efficient and very pleasant and informative in solving issues and making absolutely certain that all codes worked and that we understood all of the new features with mobile access and monitoring the system. We were very impressed at his professionalism and the manner in which he conducted himself.
This is a follow up review of what I wrote a few months ago: Since posting my review the company responded, and took measures to correct the problem. Chris, one of the local managers, replaced the damaged tiles. It took a long time for them to be replaced, however this was not his fault; apparently the tiles were shipped by Lowes but were damaged in shipping and needed to be replaced. I appreciate the companys response and the resolution of the issues I was dealing with.Original Post: Ive been on a contract with Guardian for 3 years to take care of my buildings security and fire systems. The system works well and I especially like the software provided that allows me to add and remove users from our Honeywell security system. Weve had a few service issues with our wireless equipment which were dealt with promptly. My complaint is regarding the inspection and repair of our wet sprinkler system and back-flow devices. When the inspection was done, there was one back-flow device that needed repair. When the repair was done to the device, the technicians also attempted to fix a valve on the wet sprinkler system drain that I was not even mentioned on their inspection report. There was no cost estimate given before the work was started and I received a bill for over $1200. The worst part is that the technicians allowed water to drain onto the floor, soaking the hallway carpet and also allowing water to seep through the wall into the adjacent tenants space and damaging the drywall. The technicians were noisy and impolite when asked if they could contain their mess and deal with the water damage. I was out of town on that Monday. When I returned to the building on Friday to inspect the damage that was reported to me by the tenants, I was surprised to see a slow steady drip of water out of the pipe they attempted to fix. There was teflon pipe wrap around the threaded joint where the water was dripping; apparently this was there permanent fix. I called the local Bellingham office and got pushed off until I became demanding over the phone for someone to come immediately to fix the problem. The same two technicians showed up after an hour and a half of waiting around for them. They successfully fixed the leak but became defensive when I asked about the water damage stating, There was no way to fix the leak without water going all over the floor. Im no plumber but I have heard of towels and buckets... that would have been my approach. In addition to water damaging the drywall within the room, there was also water damage done to the ceiling tiles that were stored in this room. They were water soaked and carelessly moved so the delicate edges were broken off. To top it off, there was an obvious melt mark in the carpet outside the sprinkler control room that the technicians said they were not responsible for. This has not been a good experience. I still have not gotten a response back from their staff about how they plan to deal with this; its now one week after the second repair visit.
We are really impressed with Guardian. They made setting up an account extremely easy, and were able to send out a technician for setup with only 2 days notice. Our technician, Trace, showed up right on time and was extremely skilled and efficient with getting everything working. He was very thoughtful and thinking ahead for our needs by taping our account number and customer service number near the alarm pad. He also made sure we were set up with the app, and showed us the many features of our system. So far, working with this company has been really smooth and we anticipate the future to go the same!
Trace Turpin provided us with outstanding service when we updated our security system. He was meticulous in the installation process, and triple checked to make sure the system was properly linked to the Guardian network. We found him personable and very nice to work with. Thanks!!

We needed to install a cell phone based connection between our alarm and the Guardian monitoring service. Trace did the install: very tidy and had it up and running quickly. He checked a couple of other items on the system. Nice work, Trace!
From meeting with the rep and determining what cameras to the install, everyone was professional and easy to work with. The install team needed an unexpected part, and the local office ran a replacement out, so total install was done in one day.Chase explained the website and app well. Very easy to use.
