Brought my damaged iPhone in for a trade-in due to the promotion offered. Turns out my iPhone was listed as stolen/lost so the worker who assisted me apologized on behalf of the company even if it wasn’t their fault. Whole process took about an hour total which isn’t bad considering the state of the phone. Came out every five to ten minutes to check on me.Great location.
I went in today and was turned away after being told its appointment only. Thats kind of annoying since I went to the website prior to coming in and it said nothing of the sort.The manager said this is my only employee while neither one of them was doing anything and they were turning me away. Literally there were no customers in the store. I found it funny when a third employee came out at that very moment.Im not sure why I still use Verizon, but at least theyre consistent with their terrible service no matter the location.
I had an excellent experience. I had a cellphone and apt problem, made an appointment, and the individual that helped me was very knowledgeable, helpful and went beyond the call of duty. It was worth the drive....

I am still having issues with my phone situation. The one place that I truly felt cared about helping me and not pawing me off to another person because they didnt want to help with Verizon Wireless as a whole. They have spent hours trying to help me. My phone situation is what it is. They have at least at this location gone above and beyond to help me.
So glad you asked. Worst customer service EVER! I get it. ..understaffed due to Covid or complications caused by Covid. BUT, they have limited hours not posted, allowed us to make appointments online for 12:00 today. ok...We are always early and decided to wait at the locked door and metal barrier curtain. While we waited, 8 people came up asking questions. All we could say was that we saw a man with a brief case go into the store and lock up. We texted that we were there for 12:00 appointment. ..no response. More people showed up looking for pick up but couldnt get any response. Finally at 12:35 an employee parked and walked up. All he could offer was his manager said they would open at 1pm . He had been on the job 2 weeks. I did feel sorry for him. But!!!! Come on now. Someone couldnt answer our text or offer to reschedule OR just apologize for any inconvenience? We have been Verizon customers since 1992. I am very disappointed and confused.
I had a scheduled appointment for 4pm. I walked to the door at 4:05 as I check my Verizon notifications of which I had none. An employee was approached outside by a customer questioning his data charges. The store employees says I can get you an appointment sir. So I wait until 4:17 when the employee finally turns his Attention to me. I tell him I have an appointment. He says yes I see you here. Please wait in your car for a text to come inside. Ok. Respect the rules. I wait in my car. I watched 3 other customers walk up and get help immediately. It’s now 4:39 and I walk inside with my mask on for an update. I’m immediately told to wait outside and they’d help me when they could. The “gentleman” that walked in front of us with no appointment, was being helped and he laughed when I was told to wait outside again. Why would you treat people like this? Why have an appointment when you can obviously just walk up and get help?

Ames store tried to transfer info from an old phone to a new phone yesterday for my daughter and she could not use any of her apps. We stopped at the Boone store today and Auburn was fantastic...she fixed the phone in half the time we were at Ames!!! Auburn you are the greatest tech person at Verizon!!!

Had to go in to pick up new phone and get assistance. I was most impressed. Spaces marked outside and a sign to wait for admittance. Allowed in only one at a time. All wearing masks. Very clean, all employees masked and distanced. Plexiglas barriers between customer and shopper. The assistant was extremely helpful, although they could no longer do in store setups, as they always have done in the past. She wrote down the procedure since mine needed to be set up manually, and I had no trouble following those directions and getting my new phone set up without a problem when I got home.

Ron was literally turning everyone away on Monday morning. Would not help anyone, would not let anyone into the store. Something is not right with this place.
I would not recommend visiting this store. I went by to purchase a new Samsung device and was provided with false information by the worker who helped me. Misinformation included multiple wrong specs on a device that I purchased. Unfortunately specific phone specs are mandatory for my job so this was my primary concern going in. Upon returning to the establishment to change devices, the manager said My employees are not trained to know all the information about phones. Understandably so, but the expectation is not that their employees know everything, but rather that when mistakes are made the managers will make up for it in any way they can. In my instance the manager referred me to customer service and insisted there was nothing more he could do other than add me to a 45 minute wait list to discuss matters further. A correct fix would have been to waive restock fees and let me change devices since it was their negligence that led me to purchasing the wrong product to begin with. I am highly disappointed with my experience here as I have been with Verizon for many years and I have purchased two other phones from this establishment in particular. Under no circumstances will I return here unless the manager takes ownership for his employees actions.

The manager was helping me then he walked away and started helping someone else. Then this young new employee came over and she was wonderful. The manager should have done his job by finishing his job.

I am a fairly new customer to Verizon. Just started with them this year. And wish I had have been with them before now. The customer service is outstanding! And this is very important to me. Very knowledgeable staff in the Verizon stores. The customer service, by far, outweighs anyting that anybody can come up with to complain about. Keep up the good work Verizon! And Thanks.
I actually own Boone Cellular, a cell phone repair and accessory store here in Boone. However, Ive been here tons of times (Im a Verizon customer) but all the staff Ive interacted with have been more than helpful. This is a beautiful store and the staff is great. If you need a solid carrier, Verizon is great for the area. If you need a new phone, this place is awesome too. If you need your current phone fixed, we can help at our store. Either way, these guys are great for those needs, and we can help you if you need the latter.
Fastest experience at a cellular store ever! Bought a new phone. Was in and out it 17 minutes. My sales person, Rahn Null, was awesome and knowledgeable about products and deals offered.

I am not one to leave bad reviews, or even reviews in general, but I feel this one is warranted. I will begin by saying that my family has been customers with an active account since 1998, rarely paying late or requesting excessive customer service.Late last year I purchased a new phone as a gift for my mom, and was later made aware of a BOGO deal in which I could receive a free phone myself for opening a new line. With reservation and caution to the shady fine print and contractual details that tend to burn customers in deals like this, I made sure that the details were explained to me and that we qualified.LARRY, the salesperson that advised us in this purchase, assured both my mother and I that in 1-3 billing cycles we would have the credit applied to our account.Fast-forward 5 months, still no credit. Contact Larry only to find out we do not qualify because BOTH phones are not on a payment plan, all information that LARRY was obviously privy to at the time of purchase. Because I am not in Boone to go to the store I had to send my mother, who was given the snake oil salesman show by LARRY and the CURRENT MANAGER, both of whom belittled and refused to sympathize with my moms plight.So basically after 20+ years of service with at least 3-4 lines active, we were refused a deal promised by the same salesman who told us we qualify and now must spend an extra $800 to pay for the phone which, quite frankly, was not a necessary purchase, but only acquired because it was supposed to be FREE.I even have the screenshot history of a text conversation in which LARRY assured me that the promotion would apply. But unfortunately there doesnt appear to be any recourse even with evidence.Impersonal, disinterested, and unreachable corporations such as Verizon that prey on customers regardless of loyalty, and show absolutely no accountability when blame is justified do not deserve the hard earned money of the public.I hope that LARRY and the manager of this location eventually feel the repercussions of misleading customers and deflecting accountability. Its shameful and dishonest. I will be discontinuing my service with them immediately unless a solution is offered.
The store has a good selection of phones and very good customer service. The payment plans for these phones are very pricey however. You can get a Sprint phone or something from straight talk for a lesser value and still have the same kind of phone. This really isnt a jab against the story itself. Thats mostly a issue with the policy of Verizon itself.
Walked in to pay cash for a new iPhone and was told they could not do that. Then said they could only set me up with a phone if I put it on a payment plan.

Sadly, Verizon has gone WAY downhill! But with no choice in coverage there is nothing we can do. Only reason I gave it a 2 * is that we were able to see the phone.I bought a phone for my Mom in a different area from ATT and what great service. They had her numbers, all photos, messaging and all APPS switched over to her new phone and checked to make sure it all worked!Verizon in Boone? Your phone number is in the new phone and it is up to you. The directions given DID NOT WORK!Basically it is the same as ordering off the internet at a CHEAPER PRICE and doing the same amount of work.SAD VERIZON, SAD!We had changes we also needed and was told they no longer do that also and have to go to MY VERIZON for any changes.
I am so very frustrated with the salesmen and women at this store. My husband went in to pay our bill today with a check and after alot of confusion they denied payment. They told him they had to call me first and he told them I was at work and could not be bothered. They were very rude and inconsiderate!! My husband was told to go to some machine and put in all this information before they could take his payment. He can not see good and he is not computer savy. What is this world coming to. When I got home and called the store the manager was in complete denial that they did anything wrong and blamed my husband for the whole incident. Very rude. I will never go to this store again.

Very down to earth atmosphere and knowledgeable employees. Upgrading my phone was easy and painless. The staff put the costumer first and gave me several different scenarios so that I could make the most economical decision.
I dont know that Ive ever given a 1 star review.... but this is absolutely nuts!! Sooo much run around with a damaged phone Im trying to return. No one has ever been rude, but they havent been helpful nor have they been CONSISTENT in the info given to us... hence the run around. I dont know if its this store or just Verizon in general. I assume the latter. If it werent for reception, Id change in a heartbeat after all this!...but I dont know of anyone else in this area who can do near as good! I always have a wonderful experience when coming to this Verizon! Michelle has gone above and beyond not only by helping me, but by helping my grandmother learn how to use her iphone! She also ensures that I am getting the most bang for my buck by updating my plan when it needs it. I highly recommend this verizon to all!

My first visit there was made very interesting as an enraged and very childish man in his 50s began cursing staff out and slamming his phone. The manager was very calm, collected and attentive to the man even with his childish barrage of insults and profanity.

I had some phone and service issues in the middle of my vacation. These folks went above and beyond to get me in and out with a new phone and a proper service plan so that I can get back to my vacation. There was a bit of a wait. It was well worth it
Quick resolution to minor issue. Walked into the store to try and fix a problem with Android setup that annoyingly I could not figure out. When one friendly person could not help, another stepped in and solved it in one minute.
There are three Verizon stores in this town and this one is the best stocked when I visit it. It has nice customer service thats never too pushy to make you buy anything, just relaxed suggestive selling.
I was having iPhone issues so I took the option to switch out my phone with a new one (same model) since it was under warranty. Phone was to be in the next day and I asked to be called when it came in. Roland said he would call me. It’s now 2 days later - no phone call so I called the store. No one answered so it was picked up by customer support. I’ve been on the phone for 20 minutes waiting to find out whether I should drive into town for the phone. I thought calling first would save time. Apparently not. BTW - I’m still on hold........Update- I was on hold for 50 minutes before I finally hung up. I could’ve driven to the store, waited 15 minutes and driven back home. I HATE having my time wasted.

Woefully unimpressive. Yes, they have the new phones, the modern technology, and knowledgeable associates trained to help the next one in queue.But I went in today to potentially upgrade my phone and left with the impression that Verizon only wants new lines, new customers, and new business, while existing customers are left to foot a more and more expensive bill. No transaction today.

I do not dislike Verizon. I dislike the fact I purchased a Samsung Note 8s. Beware, if you purchase this phone. Mine has hardware failures. I found out after I purchased this phone the phone has issues. I have the Note 4 and it performs flawlessly. The 8 conveniently starting acting up after my 30 day return period was over. Now I have a 1000 dollar mistake in a kitchen drawer. Way to tank Samsung the idea is to make better products not go backwards. Next time I will purchase a Google Pixel like my daughter and son have. Trust the young people they know good tech from bad tech.

Lousy service! Guy at front door with his hand computer asked what he could do for me. I told him I wanted to pay my billThere were no other customers coming in. He was helping no other customer. Instead of just swiping my card and doing the transaction which would have taken about 1 minute in his hand, he told me that I would have to wait 15 to 20 minutes. I told him to forget it. I did not have that time to wait.

Verizon is expensive but they hire and train great people. They are very competent. They also are saints for not laughing at me because I am a moron when it comes to even simple things on my Droid.
Be cautious with this store....their sales guy told us there’s no contracts for signing up so we bought an iPad from them with a data plan in July 2017. We just found out that the data plan is stuck in a 2 year contract! We can’t cancel it unless we pay 350.00. When I went in to dispute it today they pointed out the fine print despite what the sleezey sales guy told us. Be careful, don’t sign anything based on what they tell you!

Canceled my Verizon plan and went to this store because I still was owed $80 on my account from returning the phone. Was told I could only have credit, no longer having Verizon I had no need for a credit so I tried to apply it to a family members account. The credit was never applied. I went back in and was told I was going to be mailed a check for what I was owed. Was never mailed a check. I will never have a Verizon plan again. Total rip off, and no one in this store knew what was going on or how to fix the situation, the only way I could prove what had happened was with the paper receipts I had saved from them. The manager acted like I was an idiot for wanting the money that was owed to me. Keep your receipts!

Ive been with Verizon for over 10+ years now. Verizon has been the ONLY cell service to have if you travel.Prior to Verizon I tried AT&T and Sprint and their coverage was unreliable.My experience with the office in Boone has been as good or better than the other locations Ive visited. Everyone isfriendly, professional and knowledgeable .Today, Conran Hillman answered all my questions and helped solve my problem.
Worst store ever! Every confirmation email on my new account is different amounts and devices. Spent most of the day there. Trying to get into my online account to remedy the situation and it’s not working.

I had mediocre service here. I visited the store to check on the warranty of a Verizon phone charger I purchased, which most if not all Verizon products do have a 1 year warranty. My charger physically broke just a few months after purchasing it so I wanted to see if there was a possibility of getting it replaced or buying a new one discounted. Turns out I was able to get it for free, while the entire time I was there I was treated with quite curt, strangely forward and discourteous service. The staff could (should) have been decently friendlier. But I was given a second charger and that was the purpose of my visit, so yay! Perhaps having a broken product freely replaced with a new one is the gift of spending an obscene amount on the monthly cell phone bills.

Went to this location to purchase a phone after turning down at&t and sprint because I previously had good experience with this company but i was clearly wrong. They were BEYOND rude and did nothing to help the situation. i purchased a iphone 8 plus and had it for 21 hours before having a problem with the device and service.. i contacted them the next day to see what could be done and they were unprofessional and so rude. I called the next nearest verizon (russel cellular) and they said they’ve had a numerous amount of complaints about that location .. how embarrassing when another verizon store comments on a CORPORATE STORES behavior. i went to the store to return the phone and once again they were rude and uncooperative and still charged me a “re-shelf” fee. moral of the story is go anywhere but here.

These jokers tried to push me into buying a $499.00 phone and then I called #611 and a Verizon rep sold me the same frickin phone for $49 bucks and even shipped it to me next day while the clowns at this store said I couldnt have the Sam phone for 6 weeks cause it was on back order. Do yourself a favor and skip the location and call the pros to do you business.
