I just dont think there is a lot separating my experiences (at least downtown). I was looking for something extra that would make me want to come back for more. Like, I was missing that warm, gooey, melt in your mouth goodness. The cookies, for me, were a little dry and cold and were small and lacking in chocolate chips. I just didnt get the hype and I didnt find the cookies particularly memorable. Especially after frequenting bakeries in NYC and beyond.On a positive note, the cookies have a simple, homemade taste and I can tell theyre made with good intentions. I also find that the prices here are way better than their competitors (minus the coffee). The ice cream itself on its own was excellent. I also like that there is available seating unlike the other cookie establishments.I think the logo is cool and the original idea of serving from a camper is super creative. I feel like the people behind this business are committed to relationships with the Boone community, which is always a plus. Every new business has to get their footing so I hope Blue Deer is open to customer feedback---not sure if they are after reading some of the owner comments.

Creative and unique ice cream and cookie options that you can eat either alone or together as a one of a kind ice cream sandwich they will build for you according to your desires. They offer gluten free cookies. The coffee was good. Its in an fun old building apparently little changed since it was built with seating options on multiple levels. It was a great place to watch students move into the university for the year. You forget young you were when you went to college until you see others doing it. Most of them really are kids and it shows on their faces. God bless them.

Super delicious & huge ice cream sandwich. Plus you think your getting 1 ice cream scoop🍦but the cup is loaded beyond the rim. Nice employees. Would totally recommend this place to anyone. Dont expect 50 ice cream flavors, just a few to choose from but home-made & very tasty 😋.

Love the local feel and I only come for the cookies and milk so not sure what to tell you about the rest yet. I stick with what I know and these taste like home

Fantastic little place with amazing cookies and Ive cream. They even have coffees and teas. Definitely a great place to stop for a sweet snack.

Nice place for some yummy treats. I got the original with vanilla ice cream and my hubby got the original with chocolate ice cream. The cookie was warm and the ice cream was smooth. I forgot to take a picture before stuffing our face :D.

Friendly staffs. Oat milk latte was super good, the lavender honey latte was too sweet for me but my husband loved it.

Is our first time ij the downtown Boone location. It is eclectic, first, second story, and rooftop seating. Ice cream is good, the cookies likewise so. We go there whenever we are in Boone.

Their espresso was good and the vanilla ice cream was also good. Where they could shine more if fixed would be adding more fruit to their fruit flavored ice creams. The peach and strawberry ice creams tasted more like they had just a hint of those flavors and were quickly overwhelmed by the taste of cream and sugar. The cookie was also burnt though I noticed they did have unburnt ones. The staff were nice and they have an interesting upstairs eating space. Id be willing to try it again if they make the fruit in their ice creams stronger.

Fresh cookies, fresh ice cream and an awesome assortment of deer paintings! Im glad this became a brick and mortar. Love the place and the employees are super friendly!

This is my favorite coffee shop in Boone, it has delicious coffee from local lion, a great study space upstairs, and a great porch area above that for when the weather is nice. On top of that, their desserts are pretty good and the employees are always super friendly.

Blue Deer on King was really cute and super hipster. Theres a great place to study upstairs or on the upstairs patio outside. The ice cream sandwich was really good too! Honestly, loved it. (The owner is really nice, too)
