Clean and good selection for a mountain town, little pricey but good quality.

I love this grocery store! It has a good variety, friendly people, and good prices that are lower than some of the other stores in town. Its so clean and organized. Shopping here is always a good experience.

Tough to find parking when the shopping center is crowded. Store has good deals and fair prices. Inventory of items were plentiful and in stock.

I have never been so happy at a grocery store. Went in looking for a sweet snack and Brie made me a cake in 15 min with a premade cake and whipped icing. Honestly the bakery here is hands down my favorite bakery in Boone. And Brie reinforced my love with spectacular customer service and a magnificent cake.

This company gives Harris Teeter, Fresh Market and yes, Whole Foods, a run for its money. Great selection from incense to Kodiak cakes protein pancake mix to an incredible bakery. I hope they open soon in eastern North Carolina. Great selection!

One of the less expensive grocery stores in town. Good selection of meat some of which is still cut in the store.

Ordered some food from the deli the young man work behind the deli had a hard time trying to fit chicken into a box, wasn’t very cheerful although I am always extremely respectful to everyone did not get it in return he cram the chicken in the box spreading my green beans and everything else all over the box not really caring, next time I think I’m better off probably just getting my own checking routing it and deep frying it myself and making my own green beans instead of trying to rely some of the younger people that are around taking care of things the loss of respect for older people and other people from our younger people it’s terrible but they don’t wanna live in this country they should go live somewhere else and see how other countries are instead of trying to tear this one down. God bless America and God bless the people that are here that care about the people that don’t need to leave there’s my peace I will not go back in the store ever again

Truly AMAZING customer service! They went above & beyond in helping me put together some balloons for a friend who was recovering from surgery in the local hospital. I was able to find exactly what I was looking for & they gave me a discount. I went straight to the hospital to deliver the gifts & she loved the balloons.This wasnt just one helpful employee, but several. In fact everyone I encountered was so friendly I actually wrote down their names so I could call their manager & let them know what a fantastic job they were doing. (Theyre killing it in the hiring department 😉)I highly recommend stopping by this Ingles location anytime youre in the area.

This was one of the most disgusting grocery stores Ive ever been to. Almost all of their meat-beef, chicken & turkey were expiring tomorrow. I bought a carton of milk and coffee creamer from the dairy case, and the bottom was covered in sludge, and one was leaking. Upon realizing this I informed the cashier and she says, well do you still want it? Do I want the leaking, sludge covered carton of milk???? Of course not. The bathroom stalls were out of toilet paper, and there was poop all over the seats. Save your time and money and shop somewhere else. This place should be condemned. Absolutely unacceptable.

Prices are kinda high compared to other grocery stores. But usually have items other stores dont so kind of makes up for price difference on other things if your just grabbing a few things.and personally not a big fan of their off brand products.but store is always clean, shelfs always stocked and friendly staff.

In Boone, they are insisting that every customer and staff are wearing a mask. Not so much in the Newland store in Avery County. Many staff and many customers in this store idiotically force their ignorance on anyone around them. Tsk tsk tsk.

Was good pre-pandemic, but do not enforce mask mandate. Saw at least 4 people with no mask, one openly armed, during a 10 minute shopping trip. Will not return. Suggest you avoid this hotspot as well. Publix, Harris Teeter, and even Walmart have way better public health policies.

Honestly, this is the best Ingles Ive been to in WNC- mostly because of two individuals: Marla and Angela. These two women are absolute gems; they have such high spirits every time I come in, always friendly, and Ive never heard a single complaint from them. Ive been in WNC for years and have a mixed bag of experiences in various ingles, most of the time the workers are kind of grumpy and ready to be done with you. Angela and Marla are always happy to have a conversation with me and have the same attitude if the story is crazy busy or if it is slow and steady. Every time I check out, Ill wait in Marlas line, even if its longer.I was having a rough morning and didnt really feel like going to the store, but these two ladies were so friendly and pleasant, I left with a smile on my face. People like this make a huge difference, and may not even realize it. They need recognition!

Would be 5, however every time I order regular coffee with 6 bags of suger, no matter who, I always have to open it and mix it on my own. Those days with C19 kind of anoying.

One of the requirements to work here is to be rude as possible.

Although when you walk in the store they seem to have good prices, they do not make getting your membership card easy. Can only get it at customer service. No courtesy card and so when you are in line and at the check out ready to pay then you have to cancel out and go get the card. Never experienced this at any other store.

Great little (Big) home town grocery store. They have super specials and the store is always clean. Case wine (6 pack) is always 10% off. Checkout is usually quite quick as well. I just wish there was a traffic light as its a bit tricky to travel south on 105 when exiting the parking lot. But thats not up to Ingles. The na=management is efficient and responsive. Ingles donuts are terrific as is the ready to go baked chicken.

Ingles is where we always shop when visiting Boone on our annual vacation. The store is always clean, staff is always friendly, the store is well stocked, and the meats and veggies are always fresh. They close late enough to be accommodating which is why it is our top pick when we grocery shop for the weeks stay.

This Ingles has seriously declined in the past 6 years. I used to be able to rave about the customer service I received at Ingles. Now, I am privy to most of the delis social lives and know all about their drinking habits. Since, clearly that is so much more important than doing their actual job. I enjoy Boars Head deli meat and Ingles is closest to my home, but I will be taking all my business to Publix from now on.

Horrible management. Horrible service and the food is moldy there. Someone had dropped sauce on the ground and mold came out of it. Also one of the their tortilla packs had fuzzy mold growing out of it. They sell expired food and let people buy them. They also had FROZEN shrimp that was moldy!! The management treats their employees horribly. Don’t shop at this trash of a place.

Need to train staff before dealing with customers. I had to teach young lady how to make a sub... She didnt even know how much meat should be on sub that was pre-wrapped. I dealt sorry for her and helped her for next customer. It was her first day on the job -- with no training!

They have all kinds of unique items. They have a ton of organics and they have great sales.

If you want great cuts of meat this is the store, if you want friendly staff, this is the store. Fresh produce, fresh breads, and so very clean you can eat off the floor. You do need a card for their prices but they give that to you right at the register and they use it immediately.

Drove from Vilas to purchase deli meat, arrived at 8:40 p.m.; they closed the deli 15-20 minutes early. Most delis close at 9, so I was unable to make it to another deli before they closed. Incredibly unprofessional, especially considering the manager did not offer to remedy the issue.

Decent selection. They offer things that Walmart doesn’t. Prices are hit or miss unless you know what you’re looking for and how to shop for deals. The morning cashier has been rude when I’ve been in there. No personality at all. I’ll only go here if I need something Food Lion or Walmart doesn’t have.
