Bill was absolutely wonderful to speak to. My truck went in needing new brakes and my tail pipe reattached and they were very accommodating and had my truck fixed within the day. I work during the days and the key drop off and remote pick up made the experience so great as I didnt have to call off work to get my truck fixed. Im very grateful to Bill and his team for their great work and customer service!

The truck wouldnt start, wouldnt make any sound at all one evening when we left our friends house. Had been having problems starting often. Got it jumped and then because we were leaving on a trip in two days and were more than a little concerned about leaving home, we dropped it off at Meineke with a note and key. They were great and fixed it quickly the next day. It turned out to be the starter. Not cheap like a battery, but we were still glad to have it fixed and not have to cancel our trip. No wonder my hubby likes taking our vehicles there! Good service for sure!

Went in to have my custom exhaust welded and mufflers pointed correctly, all the pipes look great, mufflers not so much. Still not pointed right and now welded. Will have to take to someone else to have fixed.

I brought our Ram 2500 in for break service. We like to be proactive with maintaining our vehicle instead of reactive, and thinking it was time for service I brought it in. Bill is a very pleasant man, he had his tech test and visually inspect our truck and it was deemed that service was not necessary at this time. They allowed me to inspect the truck and showed me their findings. I felt very comfortable and that they were being honest and sometimes these days that is not easy to find. I dont do many reviews, but when I find someone is deserving of praise I think its worthwhile to acknowledge it. Thank you Bill and staff at Meineke! When I do need service I know where I can count on knowledgeable and honest folks!

I was very disappointed that they didnt have on their website that they were going to be closed the weekend before Memorial Day but they were going to reopen on Memorial Day I drove from Wilmington to Kankakee just to find out they were closed until Monday made no sense they should have been open on Saturday in closed Sunday and Monday

Best car-service experience I’ve ever had in my life. Very polite and genuinely nice people and fairly priced. Suggested to all my family members to start going here for their oil changes and vehicle maintenances.

Came in due to a squeaky belt that was replaced a month ago from the same shop. I was told the tech didnt tighten the belt correctly. I was then told by the owner that I had a torn boot on my Left CV axle. They were going to charge me over $300 just for the left side axle PART, not including labor and machinework. So, I choose to do it myself. I bought the same part for under $90 at Autozone. Once I removed the axle, I was surprised to see that my boot was not torn at all. Very disappointing to say the least. Seems like alot of over charging and miss diagnosing.

Best shop around hands down. Highly recommended to anyone.

No qualms with the work - I never got the chance to give Meineke a try. I went straight to Car Care (who I recommend!) after a rude experience with a gentleman at the desk. It doesnt matter who you are - the customer is always right. The least you can do is be cordial.

I would’ve given this place a 5 except for when I called to ask when the mechanics come back from lunch I couldn’t get an answer besides they will be back soon & them trying to book an appointment for me. I have a busy week & had a couple extra hours today so I just wanted to come in & get an oil change. When a customer asks a question, just answer them. I always go there to get an oil change because it is quick & price efficient, but if Bill, answering the telephone can’t even answer my question then I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Bill and his staff go above and beyond to get you going. I had an issue with my car that others were going to charge me over $1000.00. At meineke they found what was really going on and it cost under $500! Thats honest service.

I stopped in even though I dont live in the area. I needed to have my battery checked out and I had some time as I was passing through Bourbonnais. The level of customer service at this place is so good its almost shocking. You just dont come across this kind of customer care too often anymore. Turns out my battery was okay, just needed a good cleaning. I was in and out pretty fast and the manager wouldnt even charge me for the time the spent cleaning it. I live in Chicago but will consider making the hour drive next time I need service. Shops like this are a good find.

So glad we found Bill and his Meineke! While not often the cheapest option, they ARE the best option. Fast, responsive, honest, professional and friendly--and they always put up with my nonsense. Took my truck in to get the brakes fixed. After getting the brakes done kept leaking. My son and I went to take the tires off and they have them torqued over 200 foot pounds. We were finally able to get the tire off and found the caliper peeing fuild. The only people to touch the front of the truck was this shop. So we unbolted the brake line. Then we went to take out the bolts that heads are to be 13/16 and we went to the caliper bolt and the socket didnt fit. It was 3/4 on one side the other was 13/16 once we took the caliper off we put the bolts back but the 3/4 was the wrong thread and bolt thickness. By them putting this bolt in after breaking, damaging, or losing the bolt they put my family in danger the caliper was moving and leaking fuild on the rotor. It then caused the seal to go out and piston freeze up. Dont have breaks done here they could have killed someone. Concerned ex customer

I popped by for the Veterans Day special and I was very pleased! Each bay was solid with a vehicle and only one spot in the parking lot. I barely had any wait at all. They were servicing people quickly and professionally. In addition, they had food and drinks available for the guests.

I have been taking our cars there exclusively since 1997 when we moved to the area. Paul owned it at the time, and Bill Patraius bought it app. 10 years ago. They do all levels of automotive work. The do high quality work at reasonable prices. You will see the proof in this when you go there, and see the number of cars waiting to be worked on. Bill has a large clientele that keep coming back.

My latest visit was a simple oil change on my wifes car and also a check of a seal on one of her tires. Bill and his staff are the best and nicest people I have ever met to work on my vehicles. They took care of my wifes car quickly, effectively and with the utmost professionalism. I would recommend Bill and Meineke in Bourbonnais to anyone I know!

My fiance went to an appointment at 1400 hours her car was not pulled into the shop until 1440. She need rear pads on rear drum brakes on a 2012 accent. 230$ and 3 hours later . I call and ask why its 150 labor. he explains shop rate is 115/hr. A quick phone call to my dealership and i find out prevailing wage for mechanics is 35/hr.. this is outrageous. They also changed her air filter. why are they checking that a brake job. Looking to take advantage of suseptible people? I will never use their services again and advise others to not use their slow and overpriced services.

Tried to call multiple times (5) over the course of two hours during posted hours of operation. No one ever answered the phone.

They put the wrong transmission fluid in my car which lead to hard shifting and slipping. After I drained it and put Valvoline Max life full synthetic it stopped the slipping and hard shifting. Never will go here again. Trust the dealer more than this place.

I attend Olivet and needed my car fixed and I asked around and quite a few people pointed me to here and I can see why. Very nice people and found out everything that was wrong with my car in maybe 20 minutes. My car is a 2001 and I bought it 2 years ago and its ran really loud and would shake a lot. I took it to a few places and they told me it was just part of being old and theres nothing to do for it. I brought it here originally for quickly burning oil and a whistling noise. They found everything plus why the car shakes so much and fixed everything. My car runs like a new car and it wasnt as expensive as I thought it would be. Theyll show you before they start working on the car what is wrong and after they fix it they will show you the old parts they replaced. Highly recommend Bill and the rest of the clan!

I went to Bourbonnais Meineke for an AC service. I was told they would put the system under a vacuum and see if there were leaks. If it would hold vacuum they would put coolant in the system. Bill from Meineke called and said that my condenser had a large hole in it. He also said i owed him $68 for refrigerant. Refrigerant that wasnt even in my AC System! I had to pay them for dumping Coolant into the air!?!? There is no way they put the system under a vacuum or they would have know that the system wouldnt hold refrigerant. I was a regular customer for several services but i highly doubt i will ever step into a Meineke again.

Theyre nice people, but they couldnt catch a simple issue with my car and suggested a repair that would have cost far more money and not fix the issue. They tried to tell me I had cracked my timing case and it was leaking oil, when in fact my bearings on my pully were shot and it was shredding my belt and my harmonic balancer was going out. I dont know if the harmonic balancer would be an easy catch for them, but the pully should have been obvious to them. There is shredded belt gunk around the pully and it rattles when you spin it. There is a seal that needs replacing thats leaking a small amount of oil but this should have been easy for them. I definitely wont be bringing my car back there anymore.

I dont know what happen to this place but Bill had the worst costumer service and his adduttide was the worse...They cant fix air conditioning systems. After $116 dollars later and nasty comments from Bill my air conditioning still wasnt fixed. And he didnt like that I had a Meineke coupon!!! Why do they print them if they dont want you to use them?? I would drive to Joliet for an oil change if you need an air condition fixed DONT go the this location and dont talk to Bill his rude comments will leave you feeling angry and your car still wont be fixed!!!!

I believe these people ripped me off. Came in telling them I think I had a broken sensor because the beeping kept going off as if my seat belt was not on. He said its a 60-80$ charge just to check 😑 so he checked it told me what the problem was. Said they would have to remove my seat to fix the problem and in order to keep my radio working it would be an extra charge. 😑 now why is it that I have to pay extra to keep my radio working when you fix the problem when my radio was already working when I dropped it off. In that case your job is to fix whats wrong and get my car back to how it was. Whole thing was 236$ smh hate this rip off place
