I have no idea why this amazing business has ANY bad reviews. We are traveling cross country from South Carolina to Spokane Washington and our two front tires went bad on the way. We noticed in Yellowstone but the closest place that had our sized tire was Bozeman. Big O got us in their shop IMMEDIATELY and gave us the best price on three tires (two new front tires and one new spare!) for under $400. They also didnt make us detrailer our car or put us on a lift. These guys safely replaced our tires right In the parking lot. They had three guys working simultaneously and got us in and out in less than 30 minutes. They were nice, friendly, helpful and answered all of our questions. They had knowledgeable responses for all of our concerns. And they helped us back out into traffic so we could leave safely and quickly. Cant say enough good things! Nothing like peace of mind and safety when traveling this far in an RV while towing a new car. 110% recommend these guys. Thank you thank you thank you.

I had the worst experience possible. They took 3 times longer than they said and when they finally finished, the work was done incorrectly. They would not fix it right away and wanted to reschedule the fix their own mistake! Absolutely rubbish!!!

Well... blew a tire on Christmas day. Stuck in the area. Big O tires one of the only places open the following day. I only needed 1 tire as the other 3 were practically brand new. The front counter guy said they had liability reasons why they couldnt sell me just one tire. I am on unemployment and couldnt afford 4 tires if I wanted them. He sold me a used tire which was in good shape mounted and balanced for 50 bucks... the catch was I had to put it on myself. I was grateful for the option. Thank you.

My friend had a tire blow out in Yellowstone and had no spare. We called everyone to find a new rim since his was ruined. We called everywhere and nobody had one or could get one any sooner than 3 to 5 days. The employee that helped us worked some magic and was able to get the rim sent in 1 day (for a charge obviously). They were all very helpful and tried hard to get it done as soon as possible. Only reason I didnt give 5 stars is that they didnt have the rim in stock. If they would have had the rim........6 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

They take walk in and appointment. You must pay upfront for an appointment. I did so, then my appointment was canceled. I was told they would reschedule tomorrow, but never called. I called the following day and was rescheduled. I came at my appointment time and was told I would wait about an hour before it would be finished. Because of this, I stayed in store instead of walking home. After 90 minutes they hadnt even started working on my car. I proceeded to wait over 3 and a half hours, there is no bathroom available there either. Overall, price isnt anything to write home about but isnt a gouge, the job was done well but took three and a half times longer than estimated, customer service is so so.

Always fast and friendly service! They have put a cold air intake and a nice exhaust on my truck over the last couple months and it is running so much better! I will continue to take my vehicles here!

Got some new rims put on at big-o the other day on my Tacoma. They were super helpful in letting me know what was up, as well as treating my truck great! The rims ended up rubbing on my front brake caliper and they were able to help me by grinding it down to make the rims fit nicely! Definitely will be going here again! Thanks Travis!

We always buy our tires from our local Big O in Colorado. We were traveling through the area and had a picked up a nail. Because of the Nation Wide Warranty, we stopped in at 2:30pm to have the tire repaired. They told us they couldn’t get us in at all today, and we would have to wait until tomorrow.

I had two vehicles. One is a Corvette. After having my vehicle serviced there was grease all over my yellow paint on the hood on the top and sides of the car that were not even cleaned up. I was there for a tire patch was all and an oil change. All said and done I was $500 deep and not happy about the grease. Next was my Honda civic and they wouldnt change out my tires from winter to summer and pushed me to get all new tires. Never the less I took my business elsewhere.

Booked an appt to get snow tires on my van. Paid up front, $699. Clerk told me the soonest he could mount them was the following Tuesday at 10:20.I wrote it down on my receipt right there.Since there was an incoming snowstorm, we opted to extand our hotel stay to get the tires on before our 500 mile trip home.Tuesday came and we arrived well before our appt time. We were checking in and the clerk said your appt is tomorrow .I showed him my sales receipt and explained what the clerk told me on Friday. He said, the tires are here if you want them, but we dont have time to do it today.I demanded a full refund. We left with no snow tires, now having wasted $450 extending our hotel stay FOR NO REASON.I pleaded for them to get it in as scheduled and the clerk was rude, and unapologetic.We went to Costco and got the EXACT same tires for $540.Big O is a Big NO!

Really disappointed by my interaction with Big-O tires in Bozeman. I have previously only had fantastic service from Big O locations around the country and so when the tow truck driver asked me where I would like my vehicle towed for a flat repair I replied “Big O” without hesitation.We were from out of state and trying to get home on a Saturday, when I asked about a tire repair the staff at the counter essentially laughed is out of the store, they were so busy that it would have to wait until end of business Monday, how dare we even ask.The tow truck driver was kind enough to recommend Firestone down the street. They were also slammed and also told us Monday but the girl working at the counter, knowing we were from out of state, tried really hard to squeeze us in an help us get on our way. A quick twenty minute patch and we were on the road.I understand Big O was slammed, I understand that maybe local business changing snow tires was more important than an out of state traveler looking for a flat repair. I understand it because that is exactly the way they acted.Very surprised and disappointed. If I were a local in Bozeman I’d take my business for Firestone.*** Just wanted to briefly amend my review based on the owners response to my rating. It was a busy day in Bozeman for all tire shops for sure and Big-O wasnt the only place to say they were too busy to help. However other places made a little effort to check and see if they could come up with a solution and even called competitors to try and help out. Firestone even recommending where we could go and have lunch ect. Theyll be getting five stars for their efforts.Three stars isnt for being too busy to fix a flat, its to let you know how you performed versus your competitors. Im not flaming you with a 1 star abuse or anything, just letting you know where you might have done better. I never said you were a bad guy. All the best.

My truck blew a tire, they treated me great, informed me about my issues. I recently lost my husband and father, and have really learned about being taken advantage of, but Big O was great to me. They got the truck fixed the next day, as well as a battery.Thank you so much. Great at letting me know price upfront.

I called and they said bring my vehicle in when they open and they can give me an estimate.I got there 10 minutes before they opened and they said it would be an hour be an hour before they could get to it. Three hours later I took my vehicle and left. It seem they spend alot of time defending there actions and the customer is always wrong. Hmmm.

Have bought numerous sets of tires from big O was traveling through to see if I could get a flat repaired. Nope couldn’t get in for a simple nail in tire fixed until the next day. Thinking discount tire may be the way to go.

Not happy 2 hrs later come back and had a broke rim Hmmmmm. Came to get 4 new tires and left with 3 new one 1 in back of truck and doughnut on front right.Now how would you write this one?

Car owner beware!!!Be sure and have Big O put their price quotes on their letterhead with their signature because if you don’t, they will switch the price quote and you have absolutely NO recourse. Be very careful!

Just a BAD/POOR policy! I bought my last set of five new BF Goodrich KM3s in 35 there and went back in to see if they had or could get 37 tires for my Land Cruiser. No was the answer and I had no problem with that as at least he tired! He did call their supplier and was told that the only 37 tires the supplier could get would have to be ordered on the internet on some 4WD site and they could only get a total of two tires in that size, not the five that I needed. He then told me to look on the internet myself to see what I could come up with. I found and bought five 37 tires and when I received them I loaded them up in my Cruiser and went back to Big O. They said if I could leave the Cruiser they would get them installed by closing. But as I was leaving the guy asked me if the tires were new or used, to which I said new and that I had bought them on the internet after trying to buy them from Big O first. He said that it would cost more to mount and balance them because they were new and that I did not buy them from them. I said okay without asking how much thinking that it would only be a couple of bucks for each tire extra. I went and had lunch and came back about two hours later, I saw that the Cruiser was still sitting on the street in the same place, still no problem as he had said before they closed! So I decided to walk down to Firestone a couple of stores down from Big O to get a price on mounting and balancing. The guy at Firestone gave me a quote of around $85 to mount and balance all five tires regardless of where I bought them. I went to Big O and when inside and asked the counter guy how much more for mounting and balancing the new tires, he said $40 per tire x five, $200 total. WOW, thats crazy, it does not cost them anymore in labor to mount and balance new or used tires, so what he was telling me is you did not buy them from us so you will pay more!! It did not matter that I tried to buy them there first and was told to see if I could find them on the internet or that I had bought tires there in the past. Not to mention the numinous times I had taken my wifes and daughters car there to have winter tires switched out over the years. NO, I was being showed that you either buy from us or we will make the money on mounting and balancing! It seemed and felt that Big O was being vindictive, NOT a good business practice!! I will never go back there!! ****Your explanation below is piss poor just like your business practice and it is also full of arrogance!! Thank you for proving my point!! I am happy to say that Firestone does not do bad business like you!! Go to Firestone people, NO rip off there!!****

I had such a terrible experience with the lack of follow through and awful customer service during my most recent service for my vehicle. I left my car with them, understanding that it was a busy day and even told them I was fine leaving it overnight for them to work on the next day. At 4:30 that afternoon I received a call that none of the staff on the next day could do the desired work, which was fine with me as we made plans to get it done at another time. I was assured that they would “work with me” since it had been their oversight that caused me leaving my car with them when they wouldn’t be able to do the work. When I brought my vehicle back, I was again told that there was no way my car could be worked in. I will never go back, there is no accountability here at all. It seems that the current culture at this location is not focused on customer service at all.

I’m from out of town and discovered I had two low tires. I had to drive back to my home several hours away the next day and pulled in just before closing time. Everyone was so helpful and immediately got my car back to take a look at it and get it fixed. They discovered I did not have any thing wrong with the tires and then didn’t charge me a thing to look at it.This is a top-notch place ran by top-notch people! You don’t find honest, customer service oriented businesses like this around much anymore!

We had an issue with my daughters car when she had snow tires installed. Her regular tires were accidentally disposed of, and Big O replaced them with no questions asked. Shane did an amazing job working through this issue with us. Great customer service!!! Thanks again!!

I just purchased 4 new tires from Big O Tires in Bozeman. Totally impressed with the prices, service and helpful advice on which tires would be best for my little truck. They matched any other price I had gotten...even Costco. And I love that they have a service for free tire rotation..for the life of the tires.

Went to get the A/C gas recharged for my 2006 Audi A6 and I was charged $20 for the A/C and another $130 for front end saying they took 1 and half hour to remove and put the front end. The recharge inlet it on the top where the hood hinge is at, they charged me for nothing. Fake charges so be aware. I know they lied about removing the front end because it was out of alignment like it was before and the zip-ties I have installed wasn’t removed, there was no way they took it out without cutting the zip-ties.UpdateI have responded several times and what I have been told is that I am no longer welcome in to Rob’s shop.

This is the best big O tires I’ve ever been to in several states they’re always able to fit me in by my schedule I order special tires if I need them and they can get they are very kind and they always have great advice. I can say from personal experience if you need tires and brakes this is the place to go if they’ve ever made a mistake they always go out of their way to make it right

Was concerned about tire pressure as it was cold here and Id left a much warmer climate. They checked my air pressure in my tires for no charge and were quite pleasant about it. Nice people.

I’ve never done a Google review before, but I feel it’s appropriate so that people online reading this will know that you can trust these guys.I brought my car in, and it was incredibly messed up, so much so that the tires wouldn’t actually turn direction. But they got it into their garage somehow and fixed it up, better than new.Long story short, this is a great shop and if you have car problems, I’d suggest going to them.

Usually great service, but I recently got a tire replaced by them and the tire was missing the valve stem cap, lug nut caps, center cap, and the tire pressure was incredibly low. This was resolved upon returning to the store but I’m frustrated it happened in the first place.

These guys have been crazy busy for most of two months now and they must be tired, but sitting in the waiting area while my winter tires were put on, I never once heard anything but patience in their dealings with customers. A few days before, I had been one of those customers that needed to be educated on snow tires in general, and tires for my new vehicle specifically. They mustve had this same conversation a hundred times this fall, but there was no terseness or eye rolling -- just kind patience. It was a lovely experience. Thanks, guys. Youre doing great!

Brent, the shop manager, made sure everything went well for me. After the first snow of the year (obviously one of their busiest times) he made sure to work around my work schedule to get my winter tires on. Big-O provided me a ride to and from work, despite the high volume of business they were doing at the time. They treated me right at every step and went above and beyond what a standard tire change company would do. Thanks!

These guys are great. Having a broken down car is no fun but Jeremy always gets things taken care of very quickly - Ive been back on the road within hours both times I took my car in (and both times I went in without an appointment). Once for suspension work and again for the alternator. If you need fast, professional service this is the place to come.

These guys are awesome! I have taken my 95 F 150 to them for several repairs including oil changes, suspension, a new clutch, even a head gasket and I have never been disappointed. They always go the extra mile for you, and the wont sell you anything you dont need! As long as I live in Bozeman these guys are my mechanics.

I had a slow leak in my back tire for several months, which required constant maintenance. I took it to several tire places which claimed to run diagnostics and show no damage to the tire, thus claiming there was nothing wrong with it. Finally, I had my husband take our pathfinder here and they quickly found a very tiny nail in the tire which was causing the slow leak, fixed it, and charged $14.99. Good to have peace of mind.

While getting my tires replaced at Big-O my radiator somehow managed to blow up. Luckily it happened there at their shop and no one was hurt. Furthermore the mechanic had the quickness of mind to shut off the car so the water pump wouldnt burn up without coolant. I was amazed at how willing they were to help me out in my predicament. They replaced the radiator and gave me a price break on the parts and labor because I had just purchased tires from them. They gave me ride to where I needed to go and fixed the car in a timely manner. They were willing to answer all my questions and provided me with sound advice. I felt that they were professional and fairly priced. Later when I had additional questions and concerns about the vehicle they again provided me with good reliable advice. These guys are fair, and good to work with.

On a road trip from Washington state to Washington D.C and ended up with a flat tire. Unfortunately, no tire shop carried 22 tires in the area. Thankfully, the staff at Big O went above and beyond to order the tire, which would come in the following morning and help us safely get back on the road. We made the rest of the 2,089 miles with no tire problem! Thanks Guys!

I have been a customer here for many years and bought snow tires yesterday. It was not a good experience. I asked what they had for my car and was given a printout to sign for the most expensive tires in the store - I refused to sign and asked what else they had. I was told there were less expensive tires but it would take 5 to 6 days to get them in. I said I would wait and -like magic- they had them and could put them on right then. Instead of replacing the lug-nut wrench attachment, they just threw it in the trunk where I was lucky to find it.

I just had a really crappy experience here. The services I asked for were quoted as taking 1 hour oil change and repair a flat, pretty basic. It took them over 2.5 hours. There were a number of people in front of me. Then they lost my keys for a half hour and bumped the person behind me to in front of me while they searched for my keys. Normally I would be understanding that people make mistakes about the keys. But this time they followed it up by insulting two other female customers in front of me: one was a single mother they made fun of behind her back and the other was a young college student they hit on. After which they took me out to my car and showed me that the incompetent guy changing my oil had removed the front skid plate. It is not necessary to remove that plate to change the oil. In doing so he had broken off all but one of the bolts, then tried to sell me on paying them more money to tap the broken bolts out and replace the plate. At that point I just put the plate in my trunk, paid for the oil change and flat, and left. I noticed after leaving that although they had fixed the flat, they didnt bother to check the pressure in the other tires so I either have one tire that is over inflated or three tires that are under-inflated. If you are a young woman or need anything other than tires: DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE.

I bought my tires there almost a year ago and got a flat(found out it was a screw) yesterday, put my spare on and took it in without an appointment. The big o guys were friendly, courteous and fixed my tire and installed it in about an hour. There was no charge for the fix since I got the tires from them. Will definitely buy my next tires there.

I have used Big O tires for my trucks and cars for many years. The Big O brand of tires holds up better in Montanas ever changing driving conditions that other major brands, Michelin, Cooper, etc. I live in Montana so I can explore the outdoors. When the roads get bad, I need good tires and Big O has provided those to me at a fair price. I have always found their management and staff to be helpful and explain the work to be done, including what it will cost, before the work is performed.The last time I bought truck tires, the manager went though he options with me and made an appointment for that day. He got me in and out, no worries. I will be using them again.

After calling around to several surrounding towns, we were unable to find anyone with time to fit us in before we were scheduled to head home. Big O Tires used to be my place to go. I have spent around $1000 on brakes and alignments at this tire shop. An appealing part of Big O Tires was their free inspections. A few months back I went to Big O Tires to inspect a strange idling in my ford ranger and they told me I needed a new ignition coil, spark plugs and wires. They quoted me $500 even though the parts cost no more than $150. I told the guy working the front desk that I didnt want the work done and he tried to charge me for the inspection. I then asked him if they still did free inspections and he looked down, typed a couple buttons on the computer and said have a good one. There was no apology from him just embarrassment that I caught him trying to screw me over. I had been to this shop at least 5 times previously and I will never return. I encourage everyone to go to a different shop where the people are honest.

I had a great experience at this Big O Tires location. I ordered winter tires and was having difficulty finding a time to get them installed; the manager was extremely helpful and got me in quickly. Additionally, the manager informed me my current tires were just as good as the ones I ordered and recommended siping them to increase traction. I was very impressed - instead of making a sale, Big O Tires made a repeat customer!

Do not take your vehicle to these people! They parked my car on a curb and about ripped the front bumper off it. Not to mention ruining the bead on a perfectly good set of tires making them useless...they do not respect their customers or their vehicles. Would give zero stars if possible!

My dad and I were there from 10 am to 5 pm I was getting 4 new tires and my dad was getting 2 new tires. They broke a sensor and saying they didn’t fit but when my dad went to look they fit just fine. Moments later the guy comes back saying it’s to broken to go back. So they wanted $80 for 2 sensors they broke one but the second one was already broke. They also said they replaced my radiator cap and said it won’t smoke anymore I go to go home which I live 40 minutes away from there and I don’t even get a mile and my car starts smoking. Oh a good factor is that they did make a mistake of putting my spare rim on my tire my dad did say something and they brought my car back in. They exchanged the rims and did the Elinment the almost forgot to do. They did however did not charge for the sensors. They just waist time. Thank you big o tires for leaving me stranded in the middle of town with a car you said you fixed. Thanks for waisting an entire day. I only gave you a one star because I couldn’t give you any less

While on a road trip my tire popped. The tire I needed they didnt have it in Montana. The employees here went out there way to help me. Im happy that I went here to get help. They were friendly and very nice.

I wish I could rate this shop 5 stars over and over again. Ive never been treated better, and these dudes were the most accommodating for my stressful situation. They handled everything professionally, and I will continue going to Big O exclusively for my automotive needs.

Not very happy with the service I was given. Was told the day I got it in at opening time on a Monday and was told that we should get it done today!. Came in today (tuesday) at 5:30 and was told that they hadnt fixed my car and it wouldnt be fixed until mid afternoon tomorrow. I leave tomorrow for a business meeting in Helena, only reason I brought my car in the first place was because I was told it would be done that day. Would not recommend coming here for a quick timely repair. Later was compensated fairly for the inconvenience, great people, working there, just low staffed.

We are traveling and on a bit of a timeline. The guys at Big O were terrific and got us back on the road in no time. Great service!

I was traveling through Bozeman and needed to get a tire changed on my trailer.They were able to get to me right away and get me back on the road. They didnt even charge me to swap the spare on the trailer. Thank you guys!

Glad all i needed was air. Now i understand completely why the service was bad got a message back from my first review. Fortunately the Big o where i bought my tires was good at customer relations and i dont feel all big o tires have this issue

Great service and honest work.I live in Big Sky and have had a lot of work done here. They dont take appointments, but have always been able to accommodate my travel time (at least 1 to 1.5 hours to get into town, traffic permitting). Dont listen to the whining from the bad reviews. They have a distorted view of what things cost.You guys rock!

Got 4 new tires for the jeep. Great deal., great customer service. WOuld highly recommend

Always under inflated tires every time, also went in for a rebalance on my tires, they called and said it was done and when I took it home it was quite evident that they haven’t even touched it. Had to take it back and call them on it. All they could say was “sorry “. I like to take my stuff to people that I don’t have to double check everything. I only went here for the convenience of location, rechecking their work was not convenient.
