Super friendly staff who seem to love yarn and all the things you can do with it as much as I do! Wonderful selection of Montana yarns. This is a must stop when you’re in the vicinity.

I have had the pleasure of shopping at Stix for so many years, I have lost count. Every single time I walk in I feel like family, the shop is full of beautiful, yummy yarn that makes you HAVE to find a project to knit with it! Cameron and Tracy always help me with answers to my questions and I never feel bad about the project I put down, or the puzzle I couldn’t solve. This is the best yarn store I have been in, and I have been in a many around the country…I am grateful it is in the town where I live!!!

The first time I went into Stix, it was for a learn-to-knit class. I was nervous but was immediately made to feel at home. It has been three years and quite a few classes later and I still think of Stix Yarn as one of the happiest places in Bozeman. The shop is well-stocked with yarn in all types and price points and with needlework crafts, books and notions! Tracy and Cameron are always available to offer suggestions on yarn selection, patterns and anything else. The class offerings are well run and are a great way to meet other knitters. Love this place!

My sisters and I spent an incredible morning in Stix. Traveling from Detroit, Mich. on a road adventure, the shop, the ladies, the YARN - so worth the drive!! We didnt buy enough yarn so it looks like we will have to head back soon!

Such a beautiful, well-curated and above all friendly yarn store - made me wish I was a local so I could come regularly for a chat and some knitting at the back of the store.

Nice bright space, lots of room, lots of great yarn and great service .A room for future classes when the pandemic is under control..plus they have their own parking!

Stix has a great yarn selection at a variety of price ranges (including a lot of MT-made yarn), but where they really stand out is customer service. When were not in COVID hell, they offer technique classes and community-building events (knit-alongs, crafternoons), and everyone there is knowledgeable and always willing to help you pick the right yarn for your project, or troubleshoot/fix a work in progress.

Excellent selection of yarn and knitting/crochet tools. This store let me buy and try knitting needles with the full intention that i would be returning them (and buying a set). Ive never heard of that before! I also signed up for one of their classes to learn brioche. Such a great experience!

The Stix Chicks are awesome! They always take the time to help me with whatever I need: choose the perfect yarn for my next project, help figure out what happened in my current project, remind me how to finish that project I started last year that has set in my closet and now I dont remember how to do it, and finally, to just chat about all things that are yarn in nature. Tracy and Cameron are fabulous. Go see them soon and often!

Everything about Stix is good and beautiful and helpful. The only issue is that there is so much wonderful stuff, it’s hard not to buy it all!

Tracy and Cameron are the best! Excellent yarn selection (dont miss the Clew yarn hand spun by my friend Jess from Alpaca here in Bozeman!) and fun and affordable workshops. Stix has built a nice community of crafters with their workspace in the back of the shop, so theres always someone to help out if you get stuck on a project!

Recently, on a busy Saturday morning, Tracy was very kind to freely help me with a challenging project I was working on. She was genuinely helpful while her customers were coming in and out of the store.Thank you Tracy - JB
