This yarn shop has anything and everything you could want and more! I love how they have samples knitted up next to the yarn so you can see the possibilities and the weight of the project. It helps with a visual for a beginner knitter.

I’ve been crocheting for over twenty years; mostly blankets but also accessories and some apparel. While the selection in this establishment is undeniably gorgeous, the pricing is just unreasonable! Every (average sized) skein is $29! I’m sure the quality is top notch, but I simply can’t afford to even make a baby blanket for those prices!! I’d just as soon crochet with shredded hundred dollar bills...

I love this place. I have started knitting as a hobby. The ladies that work here are so friendly and willing to help the novice and the highly trained. They have a pretty great selection of different yarn weights and fibers. They also organize it really simply so you can find what you want easily. I only wish they were open more often because I now have a knitting addiction and seem to always need yarn. But thats probably selfish, huh?

Good selection of yarn. But the Extremely limited hours keep me away. I opt for Stix downtown, which is open 7 days a week. Sharon’s service is good when she is open.

Best yarn shop in town bar none. Its a Wonderful little shop with amazing selections of premium yarns. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I collect more yarns then I have projects for hehe...What can I say, Im a sucker for high quality yarn 😀

I have ordered from them online a few times.The yarn they carry is a good quality product and they have more variety of the Qing Fibre yarn than other online sellers in USA.Also, the shipping was so quick and I was very pleased with that too.I recommend this shop to everyone and just wish I can go there one day and visit in person.

I have never had the pleasure of shopping at YarnScout in person, but I have made several on line orders. They are FANTASTIC!!! On my first order I accidentally ordered the wrong yarn (indie dyer, right color, wrong weight yarn) for a pattern and the owner noticed that and emailed me to ask if I had made a mistake. I of course had and was able to correct it! Since then I have placed several orders. All are shipped timely. They also are wonderful about keeping me informed as to where my order is without my having to ask! I will keep coming back to YarnScout!!!! I love my LYS, but I also wish YarnScout was a little closer to me!!

Nice shop. Her hours arent super convenient for weekend visitors. I need to be determined to remember to visit during her short Saturday hours.

I’ll start by saying I am not a knitter, but my mother and girlfriend are. I’ve taken both of them there and I was told that Yarn Scout is a great store. It’s not that I can’t appreciate it, I’m a hand embroiderer so I get it. The first time I went in was after grabbing a coffee next door and checked it out on my own. I’ve bought several items there as gifts for my knitters and some for the other people. This store is fantastic. Just the colorways alone are fun to get lost in.

Coolest dyed yarns ever. Huge variety!

In Feb. I ordered a skein of Zitron Unisono to knit a cowl. It is May and I started to wind the yarn into a ball. The yarn was not continuous and made three separate balls. I was disappointed and called the store. I was told they would do nothing about it since it was my fault for storing the yarn improperly or cutting it. The yarn was in a climate controlled house and the breaks were in the middle of the skein. I will not buy their inferior yarn from this company again.Mary Lou Hodges
