This shop has a FANTASTIC atmosphere! Really great indoor vibes, with nice big windows and a TON of outside seating! Their only downfall is that their coffee is relatively mediocre. They use Independence Roasting Co out of Brenham, TX. Independence over roasts and basically mutes all of the natural flavors of their coffees in favor of blends similar to those you would find in a grocery store. Again...POV is great, but their coffee needs some work to get to the five star mark!

This coffee shop has one of the best locations around Bryan / College Station! The coffee is pretty good, but isnt consistent between regular visits. The staff are overall very friendly and the food is really good. I wish the prices were a little bit lower as this is one of the more expensive places to get coffee in the area.

My husband and I are on a mission to find the best coffee in BCS. We like espresso based drinks without all the sugary syrups and artificial favors. So far, POV has the best coffee in town and we are admittedly coffee snobs. My favorite drink is a short latte which has less milk than a latte and more milk than a cortado. I get mine with almond milk. They make it the best. I also tried their Elderberry Croissant warmed up and it was perfection!!!

-Mediocre barista practices (details below).-Nice atmosphere.-Nice location to go around the lake walk nearby right outside.-Large comfortable seating to study and/or chat for awhile.Preface: I have 2 years experience working as a barista, and take that as you will because I did not master the craft in that time. It has been approximately a year since I first visited POV. The priorities of the service are still rather disappointing, but understandable for a small city coffee shop. Shots are pre-ground, raising questions of how long the coffee has been sitting exposed to not only air, but also moisture and heat in the group head. I didnt enjoy the way my milk was steamed, but I will chalk that up to personal-preference. The standard use of disposable cups is disappointing, but fits the college-town clientel. It does make me appreciate the mugs other places in town use. The latte art was cute though!I prefer supporting local establishments, still prefer to go here vs a big chain location.

Mr. Heath (owner) is the coolest guy in BCS! He genuinely cares about every cup of coffee and the happiness that is holding the cup. Great space to work, meet with friends or grab a quick bite. Support POV to keep him open during these economic times. We’ll be back again!

Great coffee, awesome decor and delightful location. This coffee house located in the stella hotel building across from lake atlas offers a stunning view to its customers. You can just get your coffee and sit beide the small lake and enjoy. They have indoor as well as outdoor seating if you like to work on something too.

So I learned about POV from the Safe 2 Save app, which give you point for driving without texting. Pretty cool app, and there are a ton of local businesses who will give a discount or free stuff in exchange for a certain number of point/miles from the app.One day, a friend told me about the POV deal on the app, and that you could basically get a freaking AMAZING cinnamon roll for next to nothing. He was right.Heres the trick: go order a black coffee. In other words, dont pay for a bunch of frilly, fancy, fattening, fake flavorings and save your money. Get a black coffee, whip out your Safe 2 Save app, and get this WONDERFUL cinnamon roll for free.Youre welcome. :)

POV is probably my favorite coffee house in all of college station. The menu is small, but filled with hip sounding drinks. However, they will make any general coffee beverage that you ask of them. The staff is always friendly, and helpful. The coffee shop itself, has a very cute atmosphere both inside and out. The bathrooms also have the best soap on Earth! The only reason I couldnt give POV 5 stars is the lack of space. The coffee shop is pretty small, and a good bit out of the way for most people. I have many of times found that I arrive and there is no where to sit. A common problem for a college town. Overall, I would recommend POV Coffeehouse.

I could give less than one star if i could. Ordered ice coffee and charged me $5. menu states that the brew coffee is far less (~$2)than that when asked for pricing worker explains that it’s because I ordered cold brew coffee. I didnt order cold brew coffee, i ordered ice coffee. Then I asked if i can order brew coffee with ice and the worker says that I can’t. Hmmm. Seemed like the person helped me didnt know the difference between just ice coffee and cold brew coffee and tried to charge me double the price. This is something I never experienced at other coffee shops. It’s unfortunate because I really wanted to like here. I wont be back.

Visited POV to attend an exhibit of local artist, John Marcella Grant. Way to go POV! Thank you for supporting local art. The inside of the shop is not huge but provided a great intimate place to view the one man exhibit. Jonhs artwork was amazing. I liked his realistic graphite portraits the best. Was intrigued with other works where he employed pops of color and/or texture to the portrait.POV had a nice selection of beverages, pastries, sandwiches and other treats. My husband really enjoyed his cup of coffee. They have numerous work stations for you to work on your lap top, a couple of spots great for kicking back in an easy chair and a wonderful covered patio area just waiting for you and your friends to enjoy.

Beautiful building in a beautiful location. Don’t come here to work if you’re not comfortable sitting a foot away from multiple people - lots of students and no space between seating makes for a noisy work environment. I haven’t had the lattes, but the pour-over isn’t something I will come back for. Really cheap coffee. Seems like a nice place to come late in the evening to work outside with a beer though.

Came in this morning to purchase coffee and was not greeted with a smile. Tried to make small talk with the employee about what to try (since I hadn’t been here prior to today), but she just ignored me and seemed very agitated. I asked her name and she stated it was Laura. Most likely not returning due to customer service. The food and coffee were great, but employees should really focus on customers and not rushing to grab their phone after placing my order.

Great coffee and pastries! I come here weekly. I just think it’s unprofessional when the employees on shift have their phones hanging out of their back pockets and they’re too worried about their shaker cup to greet a paying customer with a smile. Been there twice, with the dog :) Pistachio muffin is a treat. Sticky bun is a fav w my ladies (dog too). They have dog water bowls which is nice. No doggie treats (yet- they seemed to say they were discussing that). Coffee is certainly gourmet as are the hand crafted coffee drinks. Seems to attract a lot of students (yes it is College Station) yet the location isnt in town. Quiet, no TVs - so that makes sense. They do get slammed mid morning Saturday so be patient. Hand crafted Starbucks so it takes time.

Pros: Friendly baristas. Always well staffed which means short lines and short waits. Baristas are competent with their craft. Location is far enough out of town which keeps the crowds away, but close enough to head over for a good study session. Pretty views and a nice lake to walk around for the perfect start to a great day with someone special.Cons: They dont seem to have much on their menu in the way of pour overs. Their coffee beans come second to other top coffee shops in BCS, but they are still far superior to most roasts.Overall: This coffee shop is worth your time to stop in.
