Love radio bean!! Super friendly bartenders and a fun atmosphere. Got to see a cool Johnny Cash adjacent type band here, and love mingling outside on the benches where folks smoke. Drinks are pretty darn expensive though.
Radio Bean has such a chill atmosphere. Some of the beers they have there have the best taste and if I needed surgery, I would not need anethesia. Hehe. Power brews. Have seen some electic world class musicians there that would be a hit on Austin City Limits. Still I say, the night I did open mic when I was drunk on scotch..Murphys Law at the time, but super hilarious now. Maybe in a paralell universe not discovered by scientists until the year 2038 AD, may I have a chance to perform there. Killer venue.
No go if not vaccinated other than that didn’t look bad lol😉
Great place to go deaf
Youd have a few places like this in a lifetime, if youre lucky. Or maybe one. Spin by, meet a friend.
I like how I can hear the music in my house at night.
Amazing performances by musicians on stage. Im pleased to go to Radio Bean to laugh and boogie. Table light candles and interesting ceiling lights set a mood. The food next door is delicious. I would definitely recommend Radio Bean for anyone who loves live music.
Fun bar, good music
Love the decorations and lighting. It was always nice when I wanted to go see a band live. Id recommend the maple steamed milk!
Clearly theyve laid the ground for a nice a quiet atmosphere for students to study and for readers to read during the brunch/lunch hours. This nice café is owned by respectful people and it shows in the service. Ive been told to come back for the night time to enjoy local artists but havent had the chance.
Quaint intimate venue for a local Jazz ensemble. Small bar, conversation starting decor as space doubles as an antique lamp store. Great food associated with restaurant next door.
Nice decor.. upbeat music.. warm and welcoming staff and must try French Soda.. both Maple and Raspberry!
Super cool vibe. Get the Herb Your Enthusiasm, even if you are not a gin drinker. Great live music venue and super not pretentious.
We stopped in while on vacation because we noticed a musical event on Facebook. The place was unexpectedly cool. Its three storefronts, with a restaurant in the middle and stages on the perimeters (with bars). There was great music happening and we will definitely visit again. Plan for a long wait on Saturday nights. We happily waited about 1.5 hours for a table in the restaurant.
Played a show here with my band on a snowy night, so we had a small crowd. Very cool bar, good selection. They had some work by a local artist hung up along the side of the stage that was for sale. This bar is connected to two other restaurants where they also have live music.
Really nice that they have vegan options. Their vegan cake is very good. Their vegan meals aren’t quite as yummy as they sound. The atmosphere is something you’re going to either love or hate. It’s a very intimate setting.
Radio Bean is one of the most amazing places I have ever been in my life as far as venues go. The way its connected to Duo Dendo and the Light Lamp Room is so clever. Especially using all three as potential spaces for entertainment. Ive been there twice in my life thus far and both times have proven memorable. Im in love with the rooms, the staff, the atmosphere.
Fun bluegrass band was playing. Packed house and got some cucumber celery gin drink. It was delicious!
Friendly and fun atmosphere. Small space and hard to move around people. The wait times were pretty long to get a table but the service was good. The food was delicious. Had a Thai dish. The portions were not very big. Would recommend to see a live band.
Radio Bean is a nice place, but it could use a little more seating. Also, given that Bean is in the name, it would be helpful if they listed coffee a little more prominently on their menu. Otherwise, it is a cool place, where a lot of interesting music comes through. One other thing though is that it would be nice if some of the music that is there would be a soft enough volume to comfortably sit inside and listen to it.
My boyfriend and I went here on a Monday night two weeks ago and got 2 cups of tea for just $4. I cant remember the exact name of the tea I got but it was a homemade blend that had Defense in its title. I would highly recommend it, it had a wonderful flavor. This place was a nice reprieve after walking from our air bnb a few blocks away. We then made our way over to Light Club Lamp Shop, Ill continue my review of our evening over on Light Clubs page. I do want to say I appreciate the idea of offering coffee/tea or alcohol when one goes out to a bar. I hadnt experienced such an option before. Bravo, Radio Bean!
Very much enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks at Radio Bean. There are all these magnificent lamps and lanterns hanging around and they had more than 10 hot cocktails on the menu. Exactly what I was looking for on a cold evening in Burlington. Whats more, they had multiple live bands playing that night... a Wednesday. Would absolutely return next time Im coming through the area!
Very cool spot in town, I admit that I dont think to come here in the summer as much as I do in the Winter. Good food at the restaurants and all value priced in my view.
This place has a nice atmosphere and has a great space for listening to live music, but WOW their staff is beyond rude. I’ll never go back to Radio Bean or recommend it just for that reason. There are tons of other great bars in Burlington to listen to live music and have a good drink and not be treated badly by not one staff member, but five! Super disappointing.
Food excellent. Ambiance nice. Service mediocre.
This place is what every cool local joint should be. There is great food, cold booze and amazing music. Almost every inch of space has something cool and interesting to see/experience.
This is really as classic as it gets. You cant tell fully whats going on, or exactly where to go or what to do, and it doesnt matter. The vibe is real the music is as good as it can be, up close and personal.
Great atmosphere. Unique menu and tasty food. Excellent cocktails and friendly service. Dont miss it.
Small intimate venue. I went shooting music festival to a Joni Mitchell review. A variety of seating for individuals or a small group.
A little crammed for a music venue, but thats part of what makes it unique. Nice staff, great drinks and cool mix of entertainment.
Fantastic food and ambience! Mosg crowds as rrive around 8pm but all guests and staff are a blast. Feels like a family. If you ever find a phone, dial the number listed on it. Also great local musicians play regularly!
Great food, good vibe & live music. The menu has foods from around the world, I had Panang curry it was super yum. The decor is kind of eclectic. I like to call it worldly funk and junk. Its kind of dark, string lights hang low, one chair on the wall, and a light made of a grammophone horn are items that stood out to me. Cool place, can be a bit loud for holding conversations at times.
Always a pleasure, although the music is too loud for me. In shoulder season later at night its nice to sit outside at duino duende (same business) and listen to the music for the price of fries. We did that last night and the service was attentive and polite despite our small order. Recommend.
Fun, funky bar with a nice vibe. Was there for honky tonk Tuesday with Pony hustle and they were amazing. Great music, good atmosphere, hard to beat.
Such an awesome, amazing place. Anyone who visits or lives in the area should go there. I absolutely LOVE it. Such good people an such good music!!!!
Really cool little restaurant. Food is great. Nice low key vibe.
Small but cozy comfortable bar with great ambiance.I love the decor and the restaurant next door ( all connected) was superb for my birthday dinner.I love that they showcase unknown musicians.
Nice bar with good service. Good sound system and an intimate show space
Great small spot for music and hanging out. Good beer selection, great bartender and wings. They have mixed drinks and wine also. Bands every night.
Cute little place with pretty good food. Super funky vibe and eclectic crowd.
Great live music in an intimate venue. The drinks are strong and the beer selection is pretty big. Friendly staff in a quaint little part of a college /resort type of town.
Fun and funky place. Three bars hooked together. Good music in one and story teling in another one.
Hip, fun, and funky as always. Great drinks and great people.
Place is awesome! Great food, great vibes!
Great vegan options! Amazing vibe. Will definitely come back!
Love this bar! Its the go to bar for the bohemian crowd. Overall food, drinks, and atmosphere is great without being to pricey.
Had a great time. Night Protocol rocked. Good place for a show.
Forget teatime, the 5 dollar shake is the ultimate afternoon drink!
Nice place, is actually part of a Lounge restaurant sharing space with duino duende.Great atmosphere and live music. Cant go wrong
Probably Burlingtons best place for settling in to a few hours of food friends and entertainment, so long as you dont get irked by the Bohemian ethos
Small, cozy spot with good local beers on the menu. I’ve heard good things about the live music too.
Who da guessed? East coast band playing Bob Wills style Texas swing! A really enjoyable evening listening to true country classics.
Food was great - 5 stars, cleanness - 2 stars; overall 4 stars.
Amazing as always. The Light Club Lamp Shop had a killer band from Chicago.
Great place to see a huge range of music genres and get a *quintessential Burlington experience* which is to say it is grungy, hippy, hipster, and dank. Very tiny venue. I like that they offer ear plugs. You can get great food right next door at Duino while listening to music.
Definitely a cool place, and it IS July 4th, but I had to REALLY wave down the bartender because I was basically ignored. Im sure its great any other time.
Great atmosphere awesome drinks live music and poetry throw in excellent eats and ding ding ding you have a true winner!
Great staff alot of intimate spaces even with it being packed. Lots of fun.
The best Beans in town!!I love the music they play here, it is very Hip and Fun and I like it a lot.
Love the ambience, live music, and awesome staff!
Love this place. The chai. The ROOT. The drinks! The food! The sustainable, progressive values. Everything is great about this place. A true Burlington gem.
Dark, intimate bar with restaurant portion. Live music is a huge draw, with some musicians coming from New Orleans and points west, as well as locals. Try their vegan treats!
Great Venue for live music. Good beer selection, fair prices considering its central Burly
Great outdoor seating. Earthy crowd. Nice menu from next door street food international establishment Duende.
Great cocktails, fresh French press coffee, inexpensive. Great Funky vibe with friendly, accommodating staff. Interesting menu, Food looked delicious. Live music lineup every night.
Delicious drinks and fabulous live music every night!! If I’m ever bored or antsy, I’ll come here because there’s always something exciting going on!
Supportive of local artists. Great drinks
Pretty magical atmosphere and great live music bands during training nights. Always something different .
A duet was playing in the Red Bean, and the restaurant was buzzing with cozy lighting and folks of all ages enjoying LOCAL food cuisine and beverages (we tried the steamed maple milk). I took my 17 year old daughter who is an emerging foodie and thinking of attending UVMs CALs school. We shared the butternut squash soup and greens specials; the recipes for which the restaurant NEEDS to make available. I had the fish tacos and she had the squash sandwich. Service was attentive; they took the time to explain the ingredients and prep. I will go out of my way to go again.
Amazing experience when a band is playing, well worth a visit for a live band
One of the coolest spots I have been to. Instant top 10 spots in my book
Mediocre service, nice atmosphere, great music.
Always a chill vibe. Have a Five Dollar Shake!
Funky vibe, good food, varied schedule of live music.
Cozy corners, fun outdoor seating, Great choice of late night band-Hudsons Crew
One of the most unique bar/coffee houses in Burlington, totally supporting live music of all varieties. The stage is a continual flow of new and emerging talent.
Fun intimate space to listen to live music!
Awesome vibes, food, music, and drinks. Such a fun place to hang out...
Good place to catch live music and have some drinks with friends. In winter, the hot mixed drinks menu is key.
Its a great place to see young talented artists perform up close and personal the place always has live music and their food is pretty good
Veey queer friendly which is always appreciated but always an eclectic crowd
The atmosphere is mystical and cozy. You walk in there and you just know, This is a cool place.
One of the most unique Cafes in VT- The Radio Bean is one of my favorites. SIt outside or in for coffee, teas, and many exotic liqueurs, beers and wines. They have specialty coffee drinks and the usual bagels and home baked as well. Nights at the Bean are full of eclectic variety of music, including their now famous open-mike night. My favorite option? Being able to glide from the cafe to the adjacent restaurant, Duino Duende!, and again over to their equally atmospheric bar, Light Club Lamp Shop- which is encrusted with vintage funky lamps from floor to ceiling, because they are interconnected. So going to Radio Bean is like an exotic adventure. Great service, very laid back and friendly. the owner takes pride in being a connected member of the local community- we take pride in our big hearted cafe and more.
Its good.....thats all you need to know...
You have to visit when in Burlington. Music is on point. The experience is so unique that you have to experience it.
Cool atmosphere with an interesting wide ranging menu. Relatively affordable
