Excellent array of products, including affordable produce! Vegetables are way cheaper here than next door at Jakes. And there are lots of excellent ingredients for cooking a wide variety of East and South Asian cuisine.
This store having Reasonable price for Indian Grocery.
Central Market is my favorite grocery store in downtown Burlington. Forget City Market, just go here. Its an authentic, family owned neighborhood Indian grocery, and one of the places that makes a trip into downtown Burlington worthwhile. Prices are always inexpensive, and and very fair, so dont worry about lack of price tags, just get what you need.
The store had locally sourced fresh produce. The limited interaction I had with the staff was alright. I am not sure if they are open to suggestion. I had limited time to shop and my decision making was impaired with no price tag on 70% of the items. I shared my view with the staff and he mentioned that you could just ask any staff member. I wonder how many times do I ask to get my shopping done. I was happy with what I brought home but at the same time disappointed not to find basic stuff like paneer, onion seeds, besan etc.
Love this place! The staff is friendly And the atmosphere is just like traveling to Asia for a short time. We thoroughly love coming here and the prices and variety of items that are stickers are excellent. You dont need to be from another country to enjoy a visit here - I would encourage anyone to come here! Its great... And we love supporting a small locally owned business.
I love the kimchi!
Always friendly, cheap produce, just generally a great all around neighborhood store
Couldn’t ask for more :). Went to the store while I was visiting my family from eastern part of the country and it provided me more than what I needed. Always going back when I’m in town and I would highly recommend anyone looking for Indian/Nepali/Asian stuff and fresh vegetables. Employee friendly and everything a person needs in the store is a plus.
Store is always dirty and stinking especially the frozen section, I can see all old stocks lying around. The man in the counter didn’t even greet. Worst customer service. They don’t have prices up for anything and when we ask for that they treat you bad. I had to ask the price for certain things before buying the answer was “it’s very expensive” before telling me the price. Common tell me the price it’s me who decides whether to buy or not. The only reason they survive in Burlington as there is no much Indian grocery shops available.
Best place for bulk grains, beans, and lentils in Burlington
I love this store! Its my favorite Asian market in town. They have the broadest selection and reasonable prices
Went to buy something and male cashier scanned my item, handed me the pin pad, and bagged it all, and handed it to me all without saying a single word to me or even making eye contact. Acted like my being there was an inconvenience. That’s NOT the way to get repeated customers, if you can’t even say a basic greeting to the people putting money in your pockets, why open a store? Sticking with Everest in Essex - they have better products and more hospitable associates.
Pros: Has the best collection of Indian groceries in the area. Has meat and seafood sectionCons: Parking
Wide variety of produce to choose from. Locally grown veggies also available. Would be better to have name tags and price on items or shelves. Dont know what you grab until you get the price at the counter.
Wow. The huge market is the main attraction, and was busy all day. I was here for the Indian and Himalayan food, which was truly delicious. Expect a wait, and the dining area is modest and more suited to lunch. They do offer takeout.
GREAT PRICES. Love that you can buy rice in bulk. Particularly Jasmine rice which where I come from is kinda hard to come by at a reasonable price.
Asian Grocery Store in Burlington. Good food, good vibes and great prices.Loved this happening in Vermont.
If you are someone that is interested in cooking all kinds of dishes from the Eastern hemisphere, this is the place for you. From fresh produce, to frozen delicacies and imported consumables, this is the destination to find ingredients found now where else.
This place is good for Indian grocery but it is not maintained well, it stinks and no one bothers to take care of it.
Wide range of selection. Vegetables are fresh. Will visit frequently
Great selection of hard to find vegetables, excellent variety of tropical fruits, plus the best mangos in Burlington.
Resonable prices for Indian Grocery and Vegetables. Right place to shop. Owner is very good person and customer friendly too.
Good place in Vermont to buy Indian grocery.
Great produce, great selection, and friendly/helpful staff! Love shopping here!
Tiny stinky shop .indian veggies are groceries are ok but don’t get beyond that point it actually stinks a lot in their frozen and meat section. No other option for Indian groceries..
Great variety of vegetables. Friday is best time to go there
Very nice Nepali store with almost everything. Prices are reasonable too.
Great place for produce. Owner, manager, and other employees are pleasant.
Grocery store right choice for getting unique Indian vegetables and groceries. Like all kinds of rice bags, wheat flours and other condiments. Those who cant go to patel brothers from vt, this is the place.
Mostly Indian groceries. Some fresh vegetables but not a lot in the way of Chinese or East Asian sauces and ingredients.
Really great market with awesome service, selection and prices.
Friendly staffs and good products. fresh fish!! :)
Some items rates are very high but otherwise its good.
Great chicken dumplings with some spicy cumin dipping sauce.
I like that its got a good variety of items but pricing isnt displayed and its a bit messy
Not that good. Some products are expired. But that’s the nearest asian store for people out there
I found everything I wanted. Appreciate the courtesy of the customer service rep.
Not happy with the cleanliness of the shop. Restroom is disgusting.
They have more options compare to other Indian groceries in the area. But none of the items will have price tag and the owner never even gives the bill until you demand them. Few of the items are over priced and few items in the shop are expired, dont forget to check the Mfg date before putting it your basket.
Place is not well organized but owners respect their customers and has great customer service.
Good store for Indian vegetables
Good shop with variety of Indian greoceries, fresh fish, food, etc.
They have all different kinds of fruits and vegetables
Great selection, friendly atmosphere, reasonable prices.
Very nice and cool selection.
The meal was not good enough
My favorite Asian market in BVT.
