These people totally saved me. I was traveling from Oregon to Wyoming to go elk hunting when my truck began to fail me. They squeezed me in despite having a full schedule, loaned me a vehicle, and helped me find lodging. When the parts I needed were not available, they came up with a stop gap fix to get me back on the road. After hunting for two weeks I came back and they fixed me up completely. This team at United Muffler was great to work with. They were very competitive on price and the quality was phenomenal. I couldnt be happier. They kept me updated on what was found in the repair process. I took my Ford to the dealership for an overall inspection after buying the car from a private seller and the dealership told me one thing was wrong and it would have cost me 1100.00. I then looked at 3 other repair shops, they all gave me quotes. United Muffler was second from the lowest and their reviews online were great. After i decided to use United Muffler and had it in the shop they found one more thing after digging into it, which I did my research on what they recommended and it was accurate information. Took my sons car in for a quote. First they misquoted the price without all of the needed repairs. Said they would call back with a new quote but never did. When I went to pick it up,, they just said that its going to be expensive and they would contact me with a quote. Still never did. Also got yelled at for where I parked it because the parking lot is a loose, free form nonsensical mess. Im sure they do decent work if you can get a price from them and put up with the parking arrangement though. Theyve been there as long as I can remember. Must have something going well.

The emissions test people told me if I got my engine light off I would pass they took my money and rejected my car stealing my money and lying to me.

I called to ask about emissions testing and the lady was SUPER RUDE! I am so annoyed. I will never be taking my vehicles there for any services since simple questions about emissions testing annoyed the lady. Don’t waste your time with this place and they were more expensive if you wanted to pay with a card than any other place!

Just stopped in for a smog test and had the door shut in my face, attend saying she was closed and it was 430 in the afternoon. I wish I could keep such hours at my business!!!

Check engine light came on in the last leg of a cross country trip. The gentleman ran a diagnostic test which came back stating that there was a failing sensor. Thankfully it was a non issue. Check engine light turned off and we were back on the road in no time. Very quick service, very polite people. Definitely recommend.

For starters the lady there is rude, I’ve gone multiple times. The lady was getting my paper ready and didn’t know how to talk on a phone and get me my paper after I paid. Also when I was paying she was so rude and not patient.Secondly they changed my appointment, which I was okay with. Had my car towed the day of my new appointment and they STILL couldn’t “see” my car yet to look at it. Then I went in the next day and asked if they could get it done cause I had to go out of town and my Fiancé needed a car. I was next in line and they took 6 hours to finally get to my car.Made a giant list of “everything that’s wrong” like usual. And come to find out through second opinion most of the problems were not issues at all and they were just trying to money grab DONT EVER TAKE UR CAR TO THEM!!!

By far the best mechanic in Cladwell. These guys do not try to rip off the customer. I would recommend this place to everyone.

Called around to get a quote on brakes...called about 5 different shops. This one was the most competitive and thorough bid I received. Super friendly, straight forward and easy to do business with. They made dropping my vehicle off easy, they were flexible on times and got it done right away. I felt like they didnt try to up-sale me or talk down to me... I will go back for sure.

Sad turn of service events. I have rated them 5 stars in the past. But they will never touch another one of my vehicles again!I brought them a leaky suv that had been diagnosed with a rear main seal leak by another shop. As a single momma with a limited budget, I wanted a 2nd opinion before I dropped $1200 to fix an oil leak. They had saved me from bad diagnostics before, so I trusted them when they came back and said it wasnt the rear main seal, but valve cover and/or oil pan gaskets; the only way we would know for sure was to do them both, at $1700 total for 2 repairs. That right there should have been my clue to about face and go somewhere else.During those repairs I authorized another $200 in manufacturer recommended parts, but was further floored when I picked it up with an added alignment and axel seal repairs which hadnt been quoted or authorized, raising my bill to nearly $2300! I asked why the bill was more than I was quoted but never got more than a bill with the extras highlighted so I could see where the extra costs were coming from.Fast forward 5 weeks and about 1000 miles, I check the oil and its LOW. HOW. So I move from my usual gravel parking spot to a concrete parking spot and my rig is STILL leaking!!!! I had a Thursday appointment and dropped it off the day before. Not having heard anything by 4PM on Thursday I called. They said they would call me back. No one did. I called again at 5PM. Same story...they would call me back. No call back. I called at 545 PM and finally had to get grumpy. Ed called me back a half hour later after we had already left town. They confirmed the rear main seal WAS leaking. The same one that they had ruled out as the source of the leak initially. And in addition, they added that the timing cover was leaking also. Another $2200 is what they said was needed to fix it all the way.Needless to say I am sitting here with an empty bank account and an suv that still leaks. No offers to discount Labor, or combine hours for what the job would have been if they had done them all together. My rig just sprang 4 major oil leaks simultaneously....at least thats their story, and they are sticking to it. The only reason they get 2 stars is because they were classy enough not to charge me their diagnosis fee for the latest looksee. It might be the lowest in town....but you get what you pay for, apparently. Or not in my case ..as I still have a leaky suv.Lesson learned.

We were super disappointed with them. My husband called on a Monday and set up an appointment for fixing some wiring for a trailer hookup. They assured him that they have an expert in that area and that they would we would be able to drop the car off in the morning and pick it up after work. Great. He took it in two days later and the guy had never made the appointment on paper but just said they would get it in that day. Ugh. My husband called periodically throughout the day and was told they hadnt gotten to it yet. At 2:00 he called and was told the same thing but that they would start on it right then and theyd call back if they thought it would take more than an hour. They didnt call back. My husband called back in less than an hour and they told him they didnt know the problem and hed have to leave it over night. That was unacceptable for our situation so my husband said wed just pick it up. He got a ride over there and was told he owed them $45. But they hadnt fixed it. They hadnt diagnosed it. They hadnt done anything they agreed to do. My husband argued with this but they wouldnt give him the keys. By the way, its illegal to keep a car hostage for payment if no repairs are made. And they cant charge a diagnostic fee when they didnt diagnose it! The guy kept increasing the amount of time he said they spent working on it. It had to have been under and hour due to the times my husband called but when i went down there they now said it was 1 1/2 hours of labor. Doesnt matter. They shouldnt charge when they dont help. Ive been to urgent care centers where they spend their valuable doctor time on me but cant help so send me away without charge.These guys dont do business well. Go anywhere else! We ended up paying the money to get our vehicle back (which they had hidden in a garage) though we should have called the police over there illegal behavior.

Made me pay digonistics twice to find out what they already know. Ordered broken parts made me wait for hours past close. Still didnt fix the problem or put the parts I bought already in. 800 dollars later and still have a broken car.

We were traveling through the area with our three dogs when the alternator on our RV started having problems. We were headed to a remote area of Idaho. We didnt want to get stranded in the woods, so we had to pick a repair shop to check on the alternator issue. I called an explained our problem to Natalie the office manager. She told me to stop by and they would take care of us. They did exactly what they said they would. It was one of the best experiences Ive ever had with a garage. Ed and Sam the owners treated us like were life long customers. They went the extra mile to solve our problem.

Love them! They took good care of my cars. I own a 1988 Buick hearse. Went to another place once and dont want to go there again. Anyways, they took my car and fixed it! Runs great! I can trust them with there work. Great people! Earned my trust and business!

The tailpipe/muffler on our coach came loose as we were passing Caldwell on I84. Fortunately, a passing car alerted us to the problem so we could exit the freeway almost immediately. The local Camping World advised that we go to the United Muffler shop. The shop diagnosed the problem at the truck stop and said we could drive the coach to the muffler shop. The shop took us in first thing in the morning after staying overnight in the truck stop and completed the repairs by just-after-noon and we were back on the road. Nick did a great job fabricating a new exhaust pipe from and including the turbo flange, over and down to below the engine were he attached it to the remaining existing exhaust piping. He added six new supports where before there were three. It wasnt cheap but what work on a large coach is?We were on the way to a reunion in Idaho Falls and still arrived early! Thanks to Nick and the guys.

I am from Canada and i was passing through on my way much farther south when an issue with my rear end started up. I was referred to his shop by a nearby les schwab shop. Ed Mcfarland, the owner, had his mechanic Jason come with me for a test drive to try and figure out the source of the problem. After we returned, we put it up on the hoist to look further. My experience with these gentlemen was first class. I have never had a more professional interaction with an automotive shop. Ed was very gracious with his time and his mechanics time to try and diagnose the problem. I was completely blown away by how friendly and professional these gentlemen were. They make you feel like you are very important and they are going to take care of you. I love visiting the United States because they are the friendliest people i have ever met. It is said that Canadians are friendlier then Americans.....not in my experiences. Thank you so much Ed and Jason for your help to a stranded Canadian trying to pass through town. You truly made me feel at home and amongst new friends. When i pass through your town again, i am going to drop by for a visit....with some Donuts :)

They did a removal and reinstall on my motor. They did a great job. Little spendy but worth it. Also did an oil change about a month later. Again little expensive but done very quickly.
