Made an appointment online to have a screw removed from my tire. I went in that day and Ryan told me to give them 30 minutes and theyll have me back on the road.Well about 15 minutes in Ryan informs me that theyre going to have to replace the whole tired because it was damaged during the repair process. Ryan couldve lied to me and told me the screw was in part of the wheel that made it unfixable, but he didnt, he was straight forward and honest me about their mistake.They ordered me a new tire and it was mounted the next day. Im very happy with the service I received from this location. I will be a returning customer.
Talking to my ladies! If you are looking for a place to take your car where someone will take the time to explain to you what needs to be fixed Or if in fact it really needs to be fixed at all. Go see Ryan! We all know as women how it is to go get an oil change and walk out with recommendations for hundreds of dollars worth of work! This will not happen to you at this location!
Dropped my car off for a hand full of maintenance on Saturday and was told that the car would be ready by 3. On the way to pick up my car, Garrett called and informed me that it would not be done until Monday. He offered no excuses and was straight forward on what was going on which I appreciated. Talk about service! I simply went in to have a tire aired up and was notified the sidewall of my tire had a bulge. They had my new requested tires there and installed next day!Worked with Ryan and he was very straightforward and looking out for my best interest. I was blown away by his assistance in finding the right tires for me and his determination to have another satisfied customer.I had brief encounters with the remainder of the staff and they all had a sense of urgency to complete all there customers requests and answer any questions.I would highly recommend these guys to anyone with tire questions or needs.

My Tahoe needed to have all of its Shocks and Struts replaced. At the time, Big O had a buy 2, get 2 free promotion. I pay for the 2 highest priced items and they would rebate the 2 lowest priced items. Very straight forward. The total for replacing all four was going to cost me nearly $2600. With the two lowest priced items totaling $777, I thought this was a great deal and went ahead with the service. That was April 18th, 2020. Here we are, September 1st (19+ WEEKS later and counting....) and no less that 3 calls later....we still do not have our rebate. As expected, when we do speak to the customer support, they have a different excuse each time as to why they have not sent out the rebate. My favorite so far is that the review boards needs to determine what the two lowest priced items are. Of the 6 line items on the Invoice, only 2 lines pertain to Shocks/Struts! Seems like the review would be pretty quick, if that were the case.My problem is not with the guys at the shop. They were great. However, I cannot urge you enough, DO NOT fall for ANY rebate offers!!!!! They simply will not hold up their end of THEIR offer!!
Scheduled an appointment to have my tires aligned with Garrett and when I arrived he told me that my front right wheel had a bent rod. Took me into the shop and showed me himself. Garett and Ryan did a wonderful job taking care of me! Great, friendly & laidback environment. I will definitely be back!

Had my trucks power steering pump replaced and serpentine belt. While doing the repairs they discovered a coolant leak on engine. All repairs taken care of in a very timely manner. Stopped in to get an estimate and they took me right in, all repairs done in a few hours. Very pleased and would recommend to anyone.
Ryan, Garrett and team are exceptional! They beat the other two competitors prices and determined that I had been driving on incorrect tires the last four years after being placed there by another tire shop. They offered me a discounted rate of replacement, made the replacement in less than half and hour and even went above and beyond to place in my fog lights. I’ll definitely only give them my tire service moving forward.
A couple of months ago I had 2 tires replaced and a synthetic oil change. I came back to have the other 2 tires replace a few weeks ago. I mentioned that I was leaking oil. At no point did anyone bring me back to show me what the problem was (as they did with my tires). I had to ask when I was paying, why my car was leaking oil. Apparently, there is a valve that is leaking and its an almost $500 repair. Since this wasnt an issue before my oil change, no one came out to discuss it with me. and then the tech checking me out didnt want to discuss it further; I have a suspicion that it was your people who made a mistake and caused this very expensive repair.I wont be back and I wont refer any business to you.The gentleman I dealt with the first visit was very courteous and helpful.
This place has a 4.1 rating for a reason. My bill was supposed to be $1180 and they charged our credit card $1560. I have spoke with the owner directly and he said he would fix it but that was months ago.The work was ok not great. Consumers can do better than this place.
Set up an appointment for four new tires and completed the form online, which asked vehicle type, tire size, work needed, etc. Appointment was confirmed and I showed up at my scheduled appointment, which was a week later.They stated they did not have any tires for my size truck (an F-150) and Id have to come back tomorrow. So online appointment setup is pointless and maybe appointments in general here are pointless.My money will be going elsewhere.
I love coming to Joes for all of my car needs! I realized I needed new tires (and an oil change) and they were able to make room and get my car in the very next day. With how busy life can be it is great to know that Joes will go above and beyond to help. Not only that, but they deliver wonderful service at a fair price. I have already suggested to all of my friends in the area to come to Joes and I will continue to do so. It is worth the 25 min drive from our home even when we pass several other places we could go to. No one else compares!

First time in here, new to the Carmel area. I picked up a nail in my left rear tire, stopped in to get it patched. I was immediately greeted by Don and his guys, who were extremely friendly and professional. They patched up my tire right away and Don told me I didnt owe him anything! The low tire pressure sensor came on while I was driving home, so I stopped in to see if they could check it. They got to it quick, found a screw that would require a replacement, and didnt have an issue getting me back on the road so I could take it to my normal shop where I have warranty coverage. Nice, professional, and would definitely recommend.
A coworker recommended Big O to me, knowing I was new to this part of the state, and I knew from the first experience it was where I needed to go for my car. The guys in the store (specific to my experience Garrett and Kenny) always make it a point to explain everything in a kind, respectful manner (as a young female this hasnt always been my experience at other shops). I feel I can really trust them to not only do the best job, but be honest about whats being done that day and what they notice may need to be done in the future. Great service. Good front desk help is key. Fast and seem honest on repairs. Some of the quoted prices while listening in the waiting room seem a little high. But quality service can be hard to find. So you have to pay a little more.
My brakes seem fixed. However, I also asked that my air conditioner, which is probably under warranty and is now not working, be checked. They said they could not find anything wrong and I will have to come back when the weather is warmer. This does not seem right or curio we friendly.

I have been to both the Noblesville and Carmel locations. Both were great. Yesterday I used the Carmel location. They were priced the best out of anyone in the area. The waiting room is kept neat and clean. The staff was nothing but courteous. While they may recommend additional services, they certainly do not badger you. The next time we need tires we will use them again.
I have a great experience at the Big O Tires in Carmel, IN. I called around 5:00 to see if I could get an oil change. They got me in even though they were really busy. Brandon at the front desk was very courteous, friendly and helpful. They got me in and out and on my way in no time. I would definitely recommend them and will be going back.

I would like to say that I really like this place. I’m leaving in Carmel Indiana since 2007 and I’m single working mother. I have a SUV Ford Expedition so my first years in Carmel, I went to Tom Wood Ford dealer. However, any time I went to that dealer, I felt that because I’m a woman……..I was different. So for that reason, I desired that I never coming back to that Ford dealer. One day, I was searching for an auto service for my SUV Ford Expedition and I find Joe’s Auto Service. I immediately made the appointment so I’m a client since July 2013. They had my SUV for a week but for a moment I was worry because I really need my car, but they gave me a free rental car for the complete week. I NEVER had that service in my life. I was very pleased to finally find a place that I’m feeling comfortable, a place they treated me as a person. And the convenience to apply for GE Capital CarCare that we can pay the complete transaction without any interest, for me, this is very convenience. GE Capital increased my credit line without me asking for. I’m VERY happy with Joe’s Auto Service……….thanks a lot!!!
These guys are the best in Carmel/Indy. I wont take my car anywhere else. They know their stuff and they take the time to do things right, they wont fast jack you. Sure, they make recommendations on service and care as do most shops but these guys dont pressure you into things you dont want done. You tell them no, thats it. I highly recommend these guys to take care of your vehicles.
Sorry, didnt see the comment section. Wanted 1 new tire. Requested 1 with a low price. The response was 3 tires at over $130/ tire. I restated only wanted to replace the one that was balding and a less expensive option, got back a quote for $170. Plus, you didnt have any tires my size in stock so you wanted me to come back. I can understand quoting me the only tire you had in stock even if it was expensive, but that was not the case. You had nothing in stock and quoted me more than I wanted. I went to discount tire and got what I wanted.

The heater of my car did not work. I thought I had to go through the Thanksgiving holiday with a cold car as the dealer did not take any appointment. I was ready to take whatever it cost to have a warm holiday. Big O Tires fixed my car and did not charge me. They said it was a small adjustment so they did not charge for it. I am really glad I found a honest auto service store.
Jason genuinely cares about his job. I brought in my Audi to get tires, brakes and a tune-up. He took the time to come out to my car. He walked around my car with me so I could show him my concerns. He then introduced me to his certified Audi Mechanic, Reed. Reed was eager to find out the history of my car and asked me a few questions to help diagnose some of the problems my car was having. I left my car at the their shop and went to work. Jason called me a couple hours later to explain what they found. He explained in detail what the car needed and why. He even prioritized the needs just in case I could not afford to get everything done at once. It was very thoughtful. I will recommend this store to my family and friends.
I love my experience today at Big O Tires in Carmel, IN! Jason and his crew got my oil change and new tires done fast! My previous experience with Big O Tires at the location on West 86 street in Indianapolis, IN was good but Id have to make an afternoon for just getting my oil changed, I would be there for 2 to 3 hours at that location just hanging out waiting for my car to be done. Here at the Carmel location they got me in and out so fast! I knew I needed new tires for my car, I was told at discount tire that I could possibly make it through the winter but then I would need to replace them... turns out I needed them now! Jason said that it was a safety hazard and if it snowed tomorrow, Id end up in a ditch! They really cared for my safety! I know now where Ill be taking my car for maintenance in the future!

Awful experience. Found out they had been putting the wrong oil in my car for the last year. Paid for a tire rotation. Never rotated. They were low on pressure and they didnt even fill them up. Confronted about this, manager Ryan was not helpful. I called corporate customer service and it must be something in the water because they were the worst customer service Ive ever dealt with. They are scammers and it seems pretty well documented here.Their solution is always to bring the car back in which is pretty laughable. They always seem to have a response for everything instead of just taking ownership or listening. An absolutely terrible place
Being a complete novice when it comes to my vehicle and what to do when something goes wrong, I feel completely comfortable bringing it to Joes. I have been coming here almost exclusively for the past 16 years and have always been satisfied with the work that has been done to my vehicles. I trust the work and all of the employees. I know that they will not steer me wrong and will do the work at a fair price.
We have been taking our car to Joes for a couple of years. I heard about them when I was doing mystery shops. On one shop I was to take my car to Joes, have him mark the oil filter in a way that could be detected later, then sent to another company to get a complete oil change package. Afterward, I returned to Joes to verify that the oil filter was indeed changed. This is who the local mystery shopping companies like to use.As for our family, we have had our older Honda Odyssey and our Toyota Avalon service and repaired there on multiple occasions. We have been more than pleased each time. They give us accurate quotes, they tell us if there are other things they see wrong, and how urgent they are. If I can only afford the immediate repair at that time, that is all they do, no arguments. They are friendly and professional. I have now sent my son, who has a family of his own now, to them because I feel confident they will treat him right.
I stopped by for an unscheduled visit for a repair to the wiring of my vehicles headlight. Ryan was friendly as always and had the problem repaired with me on my way in an hour-all at a reasonable price. I am glad to have BigO in my neighborhood!
I was reluctant to bring my car in because I am a 24 year old female with no knowledge of cars at all. The staff was very friendly and likable and it seemed i made a good choice on this garage. I ended up spending two-thousand dollars in cash on repairs for my car. After two weeks of it being in the shop i finally got my car back. After being guaranteed my car was perfectly ready and good to go, I had it for maybe 3 hours and the engine completely blew up. After having it towed back to Joes Auto service (which cost me another seventy-two dollars, which i was told would be refunded) they began to tell me that it was not their fault and the work they had done had nothing to do with the engine failing. My first thought was obviously being very upset and my second was why was i not notified prior to putting money in the car or taking it off the lot that there was a chance this would happen.I was offered no refund of any kind except a $500 credit to rebuilding my failed engine which would in the end cost me another fifteen hundred dollars, to which i was shocked they would ever think i would give them anymore money at all to touch my car. The owner settled with giving me 4 free oil changes for my troubles a $120 dollar value which is a joke. So No i would absolutely not suggest anyone bring their car here especially females, like myself, who know nothing about cars. Also no refund was ever given for my tow. I had to buy a new car thanks to them So my advice….STAY AWAY UNLESS YOU LIKE THROWING MONEY AWAY FOR NOTHING.
I left them my vehicle for a day, not only did they not do the work I requested, they tried to tell me I needed alot of repairs that I know did not need done. I know because my husband had already done some of them and it had been checked by a mechanic after he did the work. They also failed to properly diagnose the actual problem I brought it in for. I took it to a different shop who was able to repair the problem, triple check the work we had done, and assured me none of the other repairs were necessary. It has been driving great ever since.Please hit thumbs up if this review is helpful.
I love love love the personal service I always receive at Joes Auto Service. I had recently taken my car to a large dealer and was treated so badly that I immediately took my car and drove straight to Joes. Justin at Joes made me feel much better and the service I received was exceptional. I have recommended many of my friends to use them. I will never go anywhere else.
If I could put -5 Stars I would. This place is terrible. Let me start with saying we waited extra 2 hours after they said the car would be ready, the technicians kept removing the mag and putting it somewhere else my husband went to check on them because I had a feeling they would mess something up and I was right! We changed our BMW X6 tires and they put the tire that should go in the back in the front ( keep in mind my back tires are wider then the front ones) we never double checked maybe that was our mistake but when it’s done by professionals usually you trust them . When we called them and said what they did they called us liars and that it was impossible or that someone is playing a prank on us, I mean seriously can you come up with a better excuse. They refused to refund us or even to pay for the bill that we had to spend to switch those 2 tires. So I would suggest you to never go there if you care about your safety, we drove in the car for months before noticing it and we had our child in it . Awful service ohh and let me mention when we call and try to talk to them they hung up on us!

I must say, these guys know what they are doing. I have an Audi, and have struggled over the years to find a shop that truly understands how to work on imports without paying double to take it to the dealership. Reed, who is their go to Import guy, did an amazing job. He not only found what was wrong within a couple hours, after other shops had it for over a week, he fixed odd and end things other shops screwed up for no charges while he was in there doing repairs. Jason, was the point man on the phone, and told me everything I needed to know. In 1 day, I got multiple problems fixed that have been plaguing my truck for 2 years! I had spent over $4,000 at various shops who never fixed the correct issue, AND did not even repair the wrong issue correctly! So, if you have a Audi, BMW, or Merc, TAKE IT HERE!!! Reed is certified in these makes and knows his stuff. The price was well worth the value that I received and I will never take it anywhere else!
I came in with a gift certificate I had won. I wound up not purchasing anything right away, but they offered to top off the air in my tires for free! Definitely wasnt expecting that. Will be doing business with them to see how their repair service is.
I visited this Big O Tire after running into a pothole and getting a flat tire. Both the owner (I didnt catch him name) and Garrett were extremely helpful, informative and professional both on the phone and in person. They explained to me what my options were and didnt pressure me into making any decisions. The waiting area had a number of toys for kids, cold water and was clean and comfortable. Overall, for as inconvenient as it was to have to replace my tires, the guys at Big O made my experience as pleasant as possible. Great customer service is hard to come by these days and this place has it! Thank you Big O!

My family and I have been taking our Cars to Joes for years. Brad and his team do a great job in a timely manner. We own 2 Hondas, a Ford and a Jeep. Joes keeps them all running and safe for my wife and I, and most importantly for our kids!
Not trustworthy or reliable. 1st time I went to Big O in Carmel for an alignment they told me my vehicle couldn’t get aligned without purchasing more work. Took vehicle to dealer they say nothing is wrong, take back to Big O and this time they agree with dealer. They seem shady and just trying to get more $$. Also on 2nd time to Big O there tech workers didn’t show up until 45mins late after they opened. So almost 2hrs later they tell me the same thing from the 1st visit and it’s going to take them another hour to align my vehicle. Well if the workers showed up on time my vehicle would have been done by then. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. They are not trustworthy or reliable.I guess they hire untrained personal at the customers expense.My truck didn’t need additional work. They did nothing. Since I have been waiting since 730am and it was 9am and they tell me it’s going to be at least another hr. I did not want to wait (since the 1st workers showed up at 815am) and from my 1st visit I did not trust them.
We got a flat tire on our way home to St. Louis. I called a bunch of tire stores, and they couldn’t get me in for 2 days. I called Big O’s and they said they could get us in right away! It took them less than half an hour to fix it!! And, they gave us a great price!! Everyone was extremely nice and helpful, and there was a nice place to wait. I would highly recommend Big O’s!!!
Definitely try to add work not necessarily needed. Took my tire in to get repaired on warranty. Since I had purchased from another Big O the guy at counter was already from the start not happy about servicing the tire. I left it, 3 hours later they call claiming I needed a 125 dollar tire pressure sensor, knew something was not right because I had seen where the tire was leaking on top of tire, so I took it to Mooresville store for second evaluation. Of course they patched the tire on warranty and charged me 7 dollars for a new valve stem. STAY AWAY FROM THESE CROOKS.....

We called in the day before to schedule an appointment to replace all four tires on our car. They were to order the tires and have them installed the following afternoon. Rather than calling us ahead to tell us the delivery truck hasnt showed up they had us come in to tell us the order didnt go through. They offered $10/tire off which is a bit comical considering we drove 45 mins to come to this location before we left for vacation in this car.

Untrustworthy local tire business. I took in a 1 yr old tire with a very slow leak. The manager (Kenny) told me I needed a new tire for $190! (Same brand as my stocks is $80 on Tirerack btw). I took the car directly to another tire shop (Discount Tire). They patched it for free and sent me on my way. They said absolutely, no way did this tire need to be replaced. DO NOT TRUST THIS BIG O TIRES LOCATION!!
Former employee here; do not go here - the owner pushes techs to find, or make, at least $250 of work.People coming in with brand new cars, getting a $25 oil change, will be greeted with a giant bill.Even the employees are scammed! I worked 9 hours a day, 6 days a week at 8.25/hr., and made far less than I do now working less time for less per hour! ($200 bimonthly @ Joes)This goes for Premier Auto in Noblesville as well, as it is owned by the same guy.DO NOT GO HERE; THEY WILL SCAM YOU

I had made an appointment one of the workers called me said he didnt have the tires I wanted but he had these others. So I was like okay cool Ill go with those. I get there the next day, they didnt have those either and I would have to go back tomorrow and they would charge me more for getting them over here. Went to indy tires instead they helped me right on the spot 40 min I was done. Staff at big o tires was nice but idk what happened in that mix up. Bad experience.
I had to return 3 times over the course of 1 week in order to get the work done right, each time I left the shop something was still not fixed (Turn signal out, check engine light on, etc.). Big inconvenience and waste of time. I would not recommend to anyone for service needs.

Stunning corruption in Carmel. A local guy wanted to buy my car & he wanted to have Joe’s look at it. Brad, the mechanic, found 3 major issues wrong, bad brakes, burning oil, & clutch (& one legitimate one- window wiper blades needing replaced). All 3 would be a major expense. A day later we had our own mechanic look at it (and later even a third) and found no evidence of any of these 3 issues- none, literally. The story is long (there is more), but conclusion being - I have not touched the face of corruption so closely before, but now I’ll do all I can to make sure the word is out that Joe’s Auto does in fact scam clients. I suspect not all- but this was a clear and deliberate failure. Reality is, even if they are fair to someone, they have done something very corruptive, and likely will going forward with their proven propensity to scam. I am level-headed, and never written a poor review before- but this was so flagrant and outright I feel compelled as a citizen of Carmel to both inform and to be informed. My 2000 Volvo has an intermediate electrical problem that prevents it from starting around every 5th time when it is hot. It starts every time when cold. It took almost a week for them to provide an estimate for the repair which was nothing more than a list of things they wanted to sell me, with no diagnosis of what the problem was. I informed them that I was not interested in all the new belts and timing chain, and that I only wanted the electrical problem fixed. They would not perform my desired work claiming that they would only fix the problem correctly. I paid nearly $200 and only received a sells job like what a carpet bagger would do.
I got in a small accident the previous Friday, which ended up throwing off the alignment to my tires a lot (think holding the wheel at the 3oclock position to go straight). Also my muffler needed replacing from general rust. I was recommended big o from someone I knew, and decided that even though its a bit of a hike, I would use them. Dropped my truck off in the morning and asked them to call me with an quote before beginning the work, just to make sure I could cover it. I got a call the same morning and was told it would be 525.63 for the muffler system and they would do the alignment for free. When asked how long it would take, the man on the phone said that the parts would be in the same day (Tuesday), and the repairs would be done by the end of the day Tuesday, or Wednesday at the latest. Wednesday evening comes and I head to my second job just down the street, where I had planned to pick up my truck after work. One of the guys was leaving just as I clocked in, so I asked if he could take my card over and pay them and snag my key if they were done. When he came back, I looked at my receipt and saw it said 583.76. Its not a huge difference, but it was definitely more than i was told. Then I was also told that my truck wasnt even in the bay yet and they hadnt done the work. I called them to inquire about the extra charge and why the work wasnt even started yet, especially because they said it would be done at the latest that night. The same guy told me that they needed to get some clamps and whatnot and that tax wasnt added to the quote. I was a little cross at this point, and asked why it wasnt done, and when it would be. The guy gave me a bit of a run around, then said they were busy and left it at that.Thursday evening comes and I head out to pick up my truck. Ive probably paid around 75$ in extra cab fare for getting to and from both of my jobs for an extra day. I get to the shop, pick up my truck and am just glad to have it back. I start driving down the road and smell this burnt plastic smell inside the cab, and more importantly notice my alignment was now screwed up the exact opposite direction - the wheel being held in the 10oclock position to go straight. I drive back and ask Jason why the alignment was now off in the opposite direction. He told me that hes sorry but there isnt anything he can do right now, but if I leave it there they should have it fixed by Friday. I told him thats ridiculous, you already promised me it would be fixed at the latest yesterday (Wed), and now I have to wait another day? He said they were very busy and they dont make promises over the phone on when the work will be done. He then went on to say that I could even bring it back Monday and the alignment would be fixed for free. I told him that I cant afford to keep using uber or lyft to get back and forth for another day to two different jobs. He said that it was the only thing he could do. I was already flustered about the whole situation, so I just took my truck and will just go to a different shop after the holidays. Its not worth trying deal with them again. I must add though, the guy who did the exhaust work did a good job. Unfortunately the customer service i received from the front desk person Jason, his lack of follow up, and not even finishing the work they were paid to do is just infuriating.EDIT 1: I decided to edit this a few days after the fact in order to clarify my point, and more importantly to bring up something I found problematic. I noticed a review on their website that contained false information. It raises the question of how credible their reviews are and if, in fact, they are written by their staff and not customers.EDIT6/8/17: I would like to rescind my earlier statement that the exhaust work was well done. I was driving on Tuesday when the entire back half of the exhaust system they installed fell off. A different shop told me the original work was simply a half-a**ed job. Please do not use this shop, brand new parts should not break after 6 months

Went there yesterday for an oil change. I had a coupon for a free oil change because i only use big o tires to change my oil and service my car. I had a growling rubbing sound coming from my front end while im driving and i told them that i think i need a new wheel bearing on my front wheel and the mechanic took the car out for a few minute drive to hear the sound. He came back put the car in the lift shook the wheels, came back and told me that one wheel is bent and my front bearing is going bad. There was also a hole in my catalytic converter so In total the repair would be $1700 i didnt want to spend $1700 on a car thats worth $2000 so i told them to just change the oil. They charged me $79 to drive the car 2 minutes put the car on a lift shake the wheels to find which wheel bearing is bad. They didnt even took the wheels off ! I feel like i was taken for a ride and ill never use big o tires ever again. Thats a shame because i was a loyal customer of big o tires.

They damaged tire pressure sensors but they tell me it was broken already even though all the pressure sensors were working until they replace my tires. they also put weights on place where they hit calipers but they told me tires are new so that tires sticks on the ground. but weights were hitting and they put the weights on the rim without cleaning some of them were come off.

I used to have 0 problems with Joes auto service... but I Called on monday, they said there was a completely open schedule for an Oil Change on wednesday at 1 PM. Come wednesday- 1 PM- they say it will take 3 hours to get my oil change done and that theyre were 4 people ahead of me. Huge waste of time driving to this place. Not coming back anymore.
Very professional and understanding. One one of the worst days of my life they went above and beyond.
