Quick and easy service! They got my exhaust leak fixed so Im back making boost, it sounds way better and has a better tone overall. O2 wiring was tucked away safely and I couldnt be happier especially with the price for these 2 simple fixes! Its held up strong for half a month and I dont see it failing anytime soon. I have an older 4Runner and Solar was willing to work on a 30+ year old vehicle while other places will only work on newer ones. Communication is top notch and friendly. Their vehicle assessments of work needed done are comprehensive and helpful, as well as prioritized. We have a ‘13 Mazda that they have worked on as well and the work has proven reliable. It’s place I send my friends because I’m confident they will be well cared for.

One of the best experiences Ive had dealing with any auto repair. Staff was beyond friendly and honest (very customer service focused). They explained in details the work that needed to be done. We heard a loud rattling coming from our car as we were an hour and a half from home. We decided we needed to pull over to check it out. We called Solar Automotive to ask some questions about what we noticed and they gave us any answers they could and were super nice about it. We then decided we needed to take the car in for them to check out. They closed in 10 minutes, we were 9 minutes away. They stayed late to help us. After 20-30 minutes of them playing around, they found some lose lug-nuts on my wheels, tightened them up, made sure we were safe to drive and sent us on our way without asking for any money in return! I could have hugged them! They are the nicest people here! Super helpful and very respectful! TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!

Used Solar Automotive for a wheel alignment after I rebuilt the tired suspension of my 2009 Mazdspeed 3 and they did a great job! Car drives arrow straight just like it did when I bought it new nearly twelve years ago. They even provided a copy of the alignment report afterwards which I greatly appreciated. Would strongly recommend this place--there are a lot of hacks out there and Solar Automotive is clearly NOT in that category.

Super convenient location next to my kiddos school. Friendliest service ever!! They’re so helpful and always positive! Have taken our cars here a few times now for different reasons. They drive me to work/home if I have to drop off for long periods of time, it’s amazing. When they find out what your car needs, they send you a text with a diagnosis and videos on what all the issues mean. They also list them in order of importance. Some of the things needing to be done, could be done under my warranty at a dealer...so they called the dealer to find out if it was covered before they even contacted me!! Who does that?! Love this place! 10/10 recommend!

Let me just I stumbled on this place by sheer bad luck. And after dealing with them... My luck has surely turned around for the better. I am seriously considering making them my new place to have my vehicles fixed. Even if the drive is an hour away. I overly recommend this company to have your vehicle taken care of... The only down side is not having locations everywhere.

This was my 1st experience with Solar Automotive. I selected them for three reasons: 1) Competitive Labor Rates, 2) They pride themselves in not upselling unnecessary parts or repairs, and 3) I received three separate, unrelated, high recommendations from local people.What could use improvement: Not a single thing in my experience!Things I liked: Comfortable seating in the small waiting area, complete with a bowl of candy. It was easy to get an appointment without having to wait two weeks to get the work done. I received feed back via text and email throughout the day, the first one coming within the first hour of my appointed service. That was the results of Solars initial and detailed inspection that included a drive-test. They confirmed the things I knew about and found one other significant item - a leaky seal. What was recommended and what needed immediate attention were clearly separated. Solar did not try to influence my decision about what work to do in any way. I was given a detailed breakdown of the potential repairs, and each item was priced. Note that the final cost exactly matched the initial estimate. I approved repair of all the items. It took just over a full day for the repairs, but I got a call an hour before closing time the first day, alerting me that my truck would be finished in the morning. True to their word, I was contacted shortly after 9 AM that the truck was done. Documentation was clear and I could easily see each task that was done and what the associated costs for that task were. I highly recommend Solar and can say unequivocally that this singular experience sealed my loyalty. I am confident that my vehicle(s) will be safe and mechanically sound as long as Solar is taking care of them. Here is one other thing I forgot to mention. When you visit you are likely to meet the service manager and/or the owner(s). The staff, management included, are all personable and readily accessible to customers. Thats reaffirming!Follow-up. I had been doing routine oil changes at the dealership. The price had decreased dramatically and they couldnt get me in for several days. Solar got me in same day, was expedient, and it cost less. All the positive comments above still apply!

Pesky engine oil leak was diagnosed as involving a faulty oil pan part and repaired quickly with genuine Honda parts. Very pleased. Will definitely be coming here for expert maintenance and repairs.

I visited Solar after making many calls around town to find out about getting a full diagnostic check done on my Tucson. While Solar wasnt the lowest price I could find for the diagnostic it was DEFINITLY the most detailed and thorough Ive ever seen so I was more than happy to pay a little more for the service. Once they knew the issue a quote for repairs was provided and any other issues that raised any concern were included and noted in the full report on the vehicle (including photos of all issues!). While the work on my vehicle turned out to be extensive (170k miles)....Solar was VERY generous and helpful when it came to their time and making sure everything correct and making it affordable when anything did come up that was unexpected (nature of the type of repairs I had). In the end I left with a fully operational and much improved vehicle that I fully expect to get well past 200k miles. Their service warranty is anything big reason I chose Solar as they do good work and stand by it. A great locally own and operated shop that is very transparent and responsive to the MANY times I called with questions....They may have gotten tired of hearing from me but never showed it :-D

Had an issue with my brakes and rotors on my 2017 Jeep Cherokee. Contact Solat Automotive after it was suggested from a local. They were able to fix the jeep very quickly amd get me back on the road. They were very transparent about the service, providing pictures as they worked. Overall, I was very satisfied with the work they did.

I was on my way from Cheyenne to Colorado Springs on Sunday afternoon when one of my injector lines cracked and started leaking bad. As I was just south of Castle Rock, Solar was the closest shop in the area and they were closed of course. As I learned, there couldnt have been a better place to get towed to. I called first thing in the morning and talked to Marty, he already had my keys and was getting it into the shop to be checked out. He said he would get back to me at about 9:00 and give me an update. At 9, after checking out the truck and confirming the problem he said they were hunting for the injector line and would have me on the road by 2:00 PM. At about 11:00 I got a text with a link to a picture of my truck, telling me it was ready to go. Marty came down and picked us up at the motel we were staying at and brought us to the shop. Enough said, we were back on the road before noon. Too bad all shops arent this awesome.

I have taken 2 cars there thought I would give this new shop a opportunity. I wish I would have found them sooner! I had my car at dealership for recall repair the dealership said I needed 3 different fluids changed because they were dirty. Called around and they told me they prefer to check the fluids first to make sure they do need to be replaced. Only 1 of the 3 fluids needed changing saving me money!The second time I had to have my car towed because I had very bad oil leak smoke coming from the engine. They found it sent me what they found by text link. I have never had a shop do that! Before I could read all of what they found they called me to go over it all.I will be back!

Great repair shop. My car overheated and required a new water pump. The guys at Solar fixed the water pump and identified an issue with the valve cover gasket. However, they recommended not fixing the valve cover gasket until I drive it for a few weeks and make sure the overheating didnt cause any additional problems (the car has 240k miles on it). Ive never been to an auto repair shop that suggests NOT fixing a car! You can trust these guys.

Im always a little hesitate going to a new repair shop, I have been burned too many times. This little shop is great! Routine oil change and checked out a noise I was hearing, they couldnt replicate it, asked me to come in and test drive it with them. Perfect! I really appreciate that, more often than not you get brushed off because the issue or noise never happened for the tech and they dont get paid the extra step to move forward. They gave me a run down of whats needed and going on and what to watch out for moving forward and even gave me a rough quote of what maintenance would look like. Had wheel liners and battery replaced in my wifes Lexus. Chanc is excellent with communication and service. This will be our new shop from now on.

This shop, the owner and crew are awesome!! Upfront and honest about everything and ZERO pressure.I took my car for a drop in estimate. They quickly made room to give me an estimate without having me come back, make an appointment or charge anything. The power steering pump had been acting up already but had suddenly gotten worse. My 7 year old wanted to watch the tech put the car on the lift and instead of getting annoyed as other shops have, Grant was very friendly to my son and showed him how he lifted the car. Once he checked the issue, Grant had me take a look for myself to confirm his findings. Once he was wrapped up, I went back inside and received a quote for repairs but without any pressure. Chanc acknowledged that I was not getting it repaired that day, simply said to keep an eye on the leak and feel of the steering and let them know if I wanted to set an appointment.Not having dealt with a steering pump replacement before, I wanted to get estimates from other shops. Called the dealer (way more expensive), called the shop my parents use that is competitively priced but way across town (same estimate) and I checked on how to do it myself and that wasnt happening. I have a degree in Automotive repair, albeit unused since 2006, I have retained much of the knowledge. It would have been about 25% of the cost BUT would not have been done for probably 4-5 days at best + would have meant purchasing more tools than I would have needed and likely ended up being towed to the shop anyways. Being our family vehicle, it could not have been out of commission that long.I confidently decided to scheduled my repairs and was able to enter my request online as it was after hours. They called and texted the next morning. Once I dropped off the car, they communicated with me via text message and email per my request, sent me updates on the repairs, informed me of a seal needing to be replaced and emailed me pictures of their findings but left it as an FYI and something to watch out for, no pressure or scare tactics to get it done. Full repair was done in about 2 days by Grant who has a lift, proper tools and currently practices the art of automotive repair. Once completed I brought down our Infiniti for an Oil Change, Tire rotation and inspection, and picked up the GMC. About an hour later the Infiniti was done. They simply said it was in great health and had no concerns.Both vehicles are 4 and 5 years old with around 64k Miles each. Not new but not terribly old. Both were fairly evaluated and there were no surprises along the way. Having been to other shops, including the Grease Monkey in town, I usually get a list of all their “recommended services” and a guilt trip when I say no. The guys at Solar were the complete opposite. They are honest, do their research and thoroughly check the vehicles for necessary repairs or maintenance. No cloaks, daggers or scary stories to be found.In Summary, if you are needing a good mechanic in the Castle Rock and surrounding areas + value a mechanic that is transparent, fair priced and communicative, you must give Solar Automotive a try! Chanc and Grant were awesome and I will trust them for years to come!
