Went for lunch today! Amazing fast service and great food! A must eat for lunch in downtown Cedar Rapids.

Prairie Soup Company catered a 4 course meal for our event. We had 3 kinds of soup - chicken noodle, tomato basil & Italian Wedding. Salad bar with tons of toppings and homemade dressing. Spicy buffalo chicken, turkey bacon, Italian sub, & ham and cheese paninis. And their amazing delicious chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Everything was amazing! I would highly recommend Prairie Soup Company for all your catering needs!

The foods good they have nice soups chocolate chip cookies are really great the paninis are good I used to go here weekly about 5 years ago when I worked downtown. Then ownership change. I just went here a few times lately (2021)they have new ownership and thats really made a difference. If youre near the bus depot or walking the skywalks this is a worthwhile place to eat.

Great soups and sandwiches here! They also have salads, cookies and muffins. The soup always comes with fresh bread. My favorite is the chicken tortilla soup. But they always have a good variety to choose from. And the chocolate chip cookies fresh from the warmer are ooh-y gooey goodness!

This was my first breakfast pizza--ever, but it wont be my last. A generous slice of pizza at the Cedar Rapids Farmers Market. Delicious. I was in town to see the Grant Wood exhibits, but next time Ill be in town to get a slice of the pizza. Delicious. Nice people, too. Highly recommended.

Italian wedding soup here is excellent, best Ive ever had - a must try. Staff was nice and quick with great selection of soups, sandwiches and salads. Will eat here again when back in town.

Oh how I love Prairie Soup Company. It really is the ideal lunch spot, with plenty of soup + sandwich options to make your mouth water no matter what youre in the mood for. PLUS you can add TOPPINGS! My go-to has always been the Chicken Tortilla Soup with cheese, tortilla strips, and green onion added.

Tried their Buffalo chicken panini and Italian Wedding Day soup.... super good!! Would definitely go back and try more items on the menu.

The lasagna soup is to die for!! Plus everything is home made. Awesome service. Would definitely recommend.

Chicken enchilada soup is on Tuesdays and Thursdays and is my favorite hands down. But they have plenty of other good soups and paninis are pretty good too!

The best soup spot in town. Excellent salads and sandwiches as well. My favorite is the Chicken Tortilla and Roast Beef. They serve a few breakfast items as well.

The service was solid and there were plenty of great soup and panini options. Ordered a pick 2 half Turkey Bacon panini and reg Cheesy Potato soup and it was delicious! Was really impressed with how good the food was and surprised that such a great gem was tucked away in this office-looking building. Would definitely recommend. 👍🏻

I took my mom who is very picky for lunch there ... the staff were so nice, I ordered the mushroom and wild rice and Cobb salad and my mom took the beer cheese soup and chicken salad sandwich,my hard to please mom loved this place so I guess we are going again !!! Very friendly and flexible. Good communication. Reasonable $. Everyone likes the food.

Got here at 3:45pm and the door was locked and people were inside joking around, okay but their hours of operation says its open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 4:00pm so disappointed. what kind of business is this. Hopefully management steps in and fixed This situation hour of operation.

Food is made from scratch, very delicious, clean restaurant and friendly staff.Nice atmosphere and very convenient location for workers in area .I love eating there

Wonderful staff and food beyond expectations. Huge portions and enough did to ensure you dont go hungry. But all of this is dwarfed by the amazing view. Definitely a restaurant to enjoy

Excellent soup, of course. Also paninis and salads. Deserts from New York cheese cake to muffins, great selection. Convenient location on the downtown skywalk. Nice views of the city. Great spot for lunch.

Food is pretty good but its a cluster getting through the line every time. If you order a panini it will take about 15-20 minutes. If you dont like your salad completely drenched in dressing ask for them to put it on the side.

Great food and service. We stopped in after the St Patricks Day parade and had good soup and sandwiches. Its a great spot for a quick lunch!

Super busy at lunch but worth the wait. The line moves quick. They definitely have an advantage with fresh tasting food. My top lunch choice in downtown.

Ate there for the first time today. VERY tasty. You can test any of the soups and they were all great. Small soup and half a panini was more than enough. I will be going back soon!

Really great! It tends to get pretty busy, but the line shuffles through pretty quickly. I really enjoyed the chicken noodle soup and the bread that comes with the meal is very tasty.

Pleasantly surprised! I was a little hesitant because I thought I was walking into a cafeteria, but the sandwiches and soup was excellent! I highly recommend for a quick bite to eat.

I love their soup, but they cant seem to figure out keeping their online menu updated as to what they are serving that day, and also they had run out of all but two soups when I got there. Oh, well, I do like chicken noodle, but I was hoping for something I dont make at home.

Quick food which is tastier than the fast food joints. I went their during the lunch hour with my whole family . We had 4 soups and sanwhiches, some soups were ok and some good. I probably didnt get the best soup of the day. Either way Ill eat here again.

Good food, great staff and service, but some menu items (pannini) can be slow during the lunch rush.I had a half Turkey bacon pannini with a medium bowl of chicken tortilla soup to go. The food was great, the service was excellent.They keep a strong serving pace, so the line moves surprisingly quickly.

Dont miss it, its on the second floor!Very very good food and very nice staff. You can try all the soups and most of them are quite good. I highly recommend the cranberry turkey sandwhich, its VERY good!Atmosphere was pretty quiet when we went, but the staff was attentive and the place overall was kept very clean.

Yummy hot fresh food!! Healthy for you and my experience was a 10 out of 5!!! Customer service is always nice & the soup is DELICIOUS!!! OH MY the panini specials are yum yum yum! Cant complain I havent had anything I dont like yet! The line is a little long but its worth the wait! Highly recommend it

Good place to eat, but the location is very unfamiliar to those outside of the downtown area.

Not a good experience at all. Took over 10 min for a latte which in turn made me miss my bus. I was the only customer. 2nd bad experience and there will not be a 3rd! I will not recommend to anyone and will tell people of my experience.

Very good lunch spot. Mix of soups, salads, sandwiches, and wraps. It does tend to get pretty busy around 12p, but slows down closer to 1p.
