The parking lot and drive thru is a nightmare. The ownership should have known the traffic on folly and how horrid this parking lot is. It would also help if they made drinks correctly and quickly.

The service is amazing at this Starbucks, well everything Starbucks I’ve been to. But the Drive Thru and parking is absolutely ridiculous. The line runs into the street blocking traffic. And now they have some random lady who is absolutely rude directing traffic.

Was so disappointed in the strawberry drink everything was wonderful for the others in the car

The baristas are so kind and friendly here and they always make amazing drinks. (& they have oatmilk- yay!!)Went here almost every day in high school and the baristas knew me by name & my drink order, and they always greeted me with a big smile and an excited wave. Love to pop in here when I’m back home from college!Lots of parking, fast service, and plenty of inside and outside seating. Such a great Starbucks. Highly recommend!

Great employees and great coffee. Not sure why it’s so expensive but at least it’s convenient. Sometimes the drive thru gets backed up. Wish they had another lane at this intersection.

Drive through teller was extremely nice and friendly. No problems with order even though it is a brand new Starbucks. Logistics of parking lot and drive through line are not optimal so just be patient when you are pulling in or out!

We came in and ordered at 5am. The staff was very friendly and courteous. Place was clean.

My daughter & I are Starbucks lovers but not sure what this location did to our coffees. Both had a dirty greasy sponge taste to them. Like someone wiped our cups with a sponge they used to clean a dirty greasy pan. Only we reason we stopped at this location is because it was near a store we had just left on our way back home after a long week in Charleston.

The worst designed drive thru that I’ve ever seen. Don’t visit unless you plan on obstructing traffic or parking on the sidewalk. I’m a huge fan of ordering online but you can’t even get a spot to park to quickly grab your order unless you enjoy the frustrating experience of inching through a poorly designed parking lot. This place clearly wasn’t meant to be as busy as it is which is truly a shame for James Islanders. The designers and management staff should visit Chick-Fil-a caddie corner to this location and spend about 5 minutes during the morning rush to get an idea of how to make some much needed improvements. Huge fan of the company but really just don’t understand how they messed up in what seems to be a wonderful location.

Our French vanilla lattes are basically just hot water. No flavor whatsoever. Took forever in line, which wouldn’t have been a problem IF our drinks were worth it. Highly disappointed 😔

While Starbucks in general is always a busy place, the staff was amazing, especially the young barista that helped us. However the coffee itself left little to be desired.

Ive grabbed coffee from this location a couple of times and service has always been great. Tonight I pulled up to the speaker at 2055 hours and was told they were closed. No apologies, just a simple were closed. I understand everyone wants to go home at the end of the shift, and I cant judge them on that, however if your service hours say one thing and you say another you might want to add a sorry for the inconvenience.

Very dirty... You can literally see how nasty their containers are. Why would a pitcher with sweet cream be stained brown??? Or the lemonade pitcher? You can see the dirtiness of these items and this is just the ones sitting on the counters. Why is it that they cant CLEAN their stuff? I cant eat or drink from a place that cant even do a simple task of cleaning.

We go through the drive thru on a regular basis for our coffee fix. This location on Folly Road absolutely has the friendliest staff we have ever encountered.

I really like the Starbucks on Folly Road in James Island. This location is small, but does a lot for its footprint and offers a lot. The service here is fast and efficient as they work hard to make sure that you get your order fast and can be on your way. The staff here is friendly and cares about their customers. I am impressed every time I come in here and have always had a positive experience here.

There are plenty of Starbucks locations in Charleston. Don’t go to this one. Orders are consistently missed or just wrong. The nitro machine breaks here about once a week. This specific store is always marked as out of products on the app when they still have them in stock as well. When the poor service is as consistent as it has been at this location you can only attribute that to poor leadership and a staff that doesn’t care about the quality of their work.

Their funnel cake cappuccino was not exceptional...Ive had it at other Starbucks and it was.

You wait in line forever and then the nitro machine never work, no one knows how to work the parking lot. The Starbucks location is definitely a No go

This is a great Starbucks. They’re always extremely fast and the drinks are always right. I actually just read that some idiot is suing this location because they’re coffee was hot. Yes, they also make hot coffee like they’re supposed to. If you don’t like hot coffee this place is probably not the right spot for you. They also have cold iced coffee to prevent other people from being upset if their cold brew is cold.

Nice atmosphere and nice staff but they seem incapable of honoring my request for a for here glass or mug. As someone who tries mightily to avoid using plastic when possible, I almost always request non-plastic containers. I can honestly say that 80-90% of the time, they still serve my beverage in a plastic cup with a straw. If it happened once or twice that would be one thing but almost every time...pretty ridiculous.

Starbucks has become a haven for the homeless. Permanent residents that dont bother to roll up their computer charger cords at the end of the day.Dunkin donuts has coffee as good and cheaper plus fresh baked goods. Not the stale dried out Starbucks fare.

I think they are still figuring some things out over there. The line is super long in the Drive-Thru, but they gave me a gift card to make up for how long I had to wait in the line. I wouldnt go there if I were in a hurry, but they are trying, and I do love my Starbucks coffee! So its a 5-star rating from me.

Okay food, expect a bit of a wait if you want to be seated. If you want to drink and have an amazing view from the rooftop bar this is the place. Lots of energy and great people and service!

If the drive thru gets backed up then you wont be able to park in the parking lot so you can go inside. Also sometimes the drive thru will cause traffic on folly rd because the line gets so long it will start to spill over to the main highway. Which James Island already has enough problems with traffic.I would give a 5 but the parking situation made me drop it to a 3 because of how frustrated you can get just trying to get into the SB parking lot..

Went in to pick up my sisters to go order... Didnt want to touch each of the to go order cups sitting there so I waited a couple min while several employees walked by and disregarded me... Finally one asked what I needed, said I was here to pick up an order for __(sisters name)__ and all the guy did was turn the cups around.... Def love Starbucks but wont go back to this location, just plain rude. A yes sir Ill gladly help, lets see heres a latte for Blake, and heres a tea for, this is it! Would have been nice and would have changed this 1 star into a 5. Its called customer service; learn it.

Took 20 min to get a tall latte. If you stop here, go through the drive thru. Inside takes forever. Counted at least 10 cars that got served faster than I did inside.

This is the only Starbucks Ill go to. The staff is great, its clean, and the service is fast. The last time I went in my barista was Cara and she was fantastic. I left in a much better mood than when I went in.

Great new store for James Island. Unfortunately, same business style as South Windermere store. I waited with six other individuals inside the store for 15+ minutes for a latte while one employee filled numerous online drink orders lined up for pickup. Everyone was frustrated.

This is the slowest Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Unfortunately it’s the one near my house so I go there semi-regularly, but the speed of service is always like molasses. I thought at first it was just because they were a new store, training staff, etc. but no - 5 months-ish later and they are still moving at glacial pace. They either need more staff or a quicker staff.

Learned a lot about different coffee products today. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Picked up an espresso Frappuccino and it was all milk (light) no flavor of coffee so I’m betting they didn’t put an espresso shot in it. So it tastes like sweet milk. I order this every time and this place butchered it.

Brand new location, just like every other. VERY convenient location, but VERY limited on-site parking. Drive thru is their big business, of course. Many regulars.

Nice place, but there is little to no parking so I could not go inside like I had hoped to. The woman at the drive thru (taking the money, not the woman that took my order) seemed like I was wasting her time when I asked for a straw. No smile, “thank you”, or “have a good one”. Next time I’ll probably just head to the in South Windemere so I can go in and sit down.

Convenient location finally on Folly! Drive thru curves so heavier traffic times might make it tricky to maneuver (but weve seen bucks do similar things in Mt P and North Charleston.) Baristas are charming and helpful.

Not only do they have terrible coffee, by virtue of being Starbucks, but their poorly designed drive thru constantly backs up traffic onto folly road because they cant keep up with demand. I mean, its not like theyre the ONLY STARBUCKS ON JAMES ISLAND OR ANYTHING.

I only go there when I have gift cards. Undercooked bacon on the smoked bacon is the norm. Unbelievable. My son insists on ordering it, so I do. Entirely overrated.
