I have been renting my unit for almost a year now and its always very clean and I can depend on my stuff staying safe! The staff is Super friendly and very easy to work with, even when times get a little rough. I recently purchased my second unit because Im very satisfied with the service!

Amber made everything super easy and convenient even though I didn’t have much time. Her and Steven, at the company center, wet a pleasure to work with, friendly, and very helpful.

I get to write this review because I work here. The new Whirlwind Storage Facility in Charleston, WV is committed to customer service, security, convenience and professionalism. We provide businesses and households extra storage space so they can grow. The warehouse was once the old Kyle Furniture Store. And the people that have been coming in all have a story about this warehouse and I can listen to them for hours on how things use to be. There is a love for this building that I have never experience anywhere else. The owners went to great lengths and care when renovating the warehouse which now houses Climate Controlled Self Storage units. Its a must see before you store your items anywhere else. Come by I will give you a tour. Heat in winter and air in the summer. You will never look for another storage facility to trust your items with other than Whirlwind Storage Charleston!

The storage units as well as the entire building is clean. Amber is accommodating, courteous and very likable. She is very efficient and is great at her job.

Whirlwind Storage is located in the former R.H. Kyle Furniture showroom building on Hansford Street. This is a very nice recently remodeled facility that honors the historical Kyle Furniture building. The facility is secure, clean and modern. I love the fact that it is interior storage and is climate controlled, it was a balmy 93 degrees outside but the storage building was a very comfortable 73 degrees. The facility is well lit, and has security cameras everywhere. There is a standard height loading dock for unloading your goods to Whirlwinds flat-beds. Whirlwind Storage offers easy and painless rental agreements and the management is very responsive and friendly.

I have used several different storage facilities and this one is by far the best. The facility is spotless, the climate control always works, and it is very secure. Debbie, the manager, is wonderful. She really spent a lot of time with me walking me through all the options for units and showing me different spaces. She is also extremely kind and always says hello and asks about my life when I stop in. She knows me by sight and always remembers our conversations. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

The Christmas Decorations this year were awesome. I love seeing a business that has the spirit of Christmas and it really showed in your window display. Loved the welcome Bear at the front door, so cute. And you did a nice job on the Christmas Tree!

Met someone there to pick up a couple of items I bought. The storage unit has a number code entrance pad and it was clean.

Amber at Whirlwind Storage in Charleston was great. My family and I were moving from the Washington DC area to Charleston and needed to store our belongings until we found a new home. I spoke with Amber a few times on the phone and took a tour of the location while in town for a visit. We werent sure of our official move date, but Amber worked with us to complete all the paperwork while we were there. She followed up on our anticipated move day to confirm we were coming before processes payment. Move day was very easy. All our information was place in our units and access was easy. The facility is very clean and one of the best in the city. I highly recommend to anyone looking for storage.

This facility is outstanding! Its very reasonably priced, easily accessible, well lit, clean, and secure. The staff is so helpful, well organized, and informative, too. They had anticipated everything we were prepared to ask them. The fact that we could return the U-haul trailer we had rented out of town for a one-way trip was also convenient, after the long and stressful day of moving wed already been through. We are so pleased to have discovered this storage solution for our family.

I came to Whirlwind today. Debbie, the lady who was working in the office was very kind and showed me around. The storage I got was a 5x10, and it is perfect for 3 people. It is also very clean, and climate controlled. This place is very secure, as it is all indoor storage, and has security cameras. The pricing is also very reasonable, and as a college student thats just what I needed.

Amber gave us FANTASTIC customer service. She answered all of our questions efficiently. And really went the extra mile for us. The facility was very clean and secure with ample dollies, carts, and lighting. 5 star rating for us Cyndi and Gary N.

Whirlwind is a fabulous facility that is great for college students to store their dorm belongings. It was very clean and I would recommend this location to anyone of any ages for any reason. Debbie was wonderful and very helpful especially to clueless college freshman.

Moving home from college can be a hard time, but with the help of Whirlwind storage I was able to easily store and access my items. I like the location and it is always clean when I am there. I would definitely recommend this place to others! Amber is extremely helpful!

I love this place and Debbie! As a college student from another state it is not easy finding a storage unit that you will feel 100% comfortable with leaving your belongings. Debbie was very sweet and personable. After being given a tour by no other storage company compares.

Excellent facility – historic warehouse renovated to the highest standards. State of the art electronic entry system with easy, convenient parking for depositing/removing your items. On-site U Haul packing materials and moving vehicles are an added plus. And helpful, friendly and knowledgeable staff.

Clean and Brand new everything. Several cameras and great security measures. Very friendly staff and willing to help too! I just moved to Charleston and very happy to store my stuff here.

Its all inside, which is nice, but loading and unloading can be difficult especially if not using a uhaul or truck. The tight unloading area makes unloading and sharing with others difficult. Its also tucked away and hard to find naturally without GPS assistance due to Charlestons mundane traffic patterns.

New business but needs more staff. Not ooen 24/7. Can rent U-haul moving trucks but not cargo van nor pick-up trucks.

My family and I recently moved from Fayette County to Kanawha. I was looking for a storage unit online and found Whirlwind Storage. I was very warmly greeted by Debbie Miller and her staff and given a complete rundown of the facility. Not only do I feel that my belongings are safe at Whirlwind, but I can go there and be out of the heat or cold, because it is climate controlled and indoors. Was very impressed with this facility for numerous reasons, i.e., cleanliness, security, climate controlled to satisfaction. All of our questions were addressed in depth to our complete satisfaction. The owner as well as the office manager, Amber, were very professional and personable.

Customer service was great, Debbie the manager was very kind and thoughtful. The units are clean and new, plus there is enough cameras in the building as well as the passcode to enter which makes it pretty secure. Great price.

Great storage not pricey and its climate control

Until this past year, I never considered a climate controlled unit. The first thing I noticed about Whirlwind Storage was the security cameras everywhere. Once I was inside the building I couldn’t believe how clean it was. After seeing a few of the units, I knew this was the right move for me. I’ve been renting storage units for the past 11 years. During that time, I’ve lost a lot valuable and sentimental items. I will not rent a unit again that isn’t climate controlled or provides the security that Whirlwind does.

Wasnt sure about the storage places in the area, but after coming into this place. Im glad I went here before making my choice. Cameras everywhere, controlled climate, friendly staff, wheeled carts were a huge help as well. Not the least bit worried about leaving my stuff here.

We have rented many storage units in the past, but have never been as happy as we are with Whirlwind Storage. The whole facility is clean and well kept. There are carts and hand trucks for use by those storing heavy furniture and rugs. The staff is friendly, too!

The best rates in town, and zero of their competitors were able to come close to their prices. The units are new, in great condition, climate controlled, and this business has outstanding customer service on top of it all.

Very secure facility with an excellent front desk and availability of U-Haul materials including boxes and packing supplies. Please be warned there is no quote emergency close could help on Sundays or during off hours. This was a real problem for us as the door jammed and a group of 5 could not unload as planned. However they were terrific at offering a deep discount the next day and the personal attention is amazing. Just be careful to watch those hours especially when the office is open in case you run into some concerns. Otherwise I highly recommend this facility for security and ease-of-use. If you are new and check in through the outside Tela cashier youll get a big discount on your first month. Well others where the discouraged because of the door jamb as mentioned above, I looked around and really would not go anywhere else.
