Had an amazing experience on Saturday. There was a big selection to choose from. I love the fact that no appointment is needed and that I could shop around to pull dresses on my own.I had no idea what I wanted, but the stylist was there to help me every step of the way. All the stylists were very knowledgeable about every dress and I would recommend them to anyone looking for that special dress. I found my dress and said yes!!!

This place is unbelievable, I would send absolutely ANYONE here. You must must go. It is laid back everyone is there to help every second. You pick out a dress and someone is already asking to put it in your room- ready to help but not pushy or any pressure. Cory was fabulous as soon as we walked in greeted us wonderfully and then Joanne was wonderful, absolutely fabulous help. They made my whole experience. Loved this place. I will be sending all my friends here.

I stopped by on my own with the intention to just get a feel for the store and their selection. When I arrived the team immediately assisted me by explaining how the store is laid out and even helped me get set up with a fitting room so I could try a few pieces. I ended up falling in love with my first dress and purchased it that same day, all within my lunch hour! I couldn’t have done it without the entire staff who stepped in to offer feedback since I didn’t bring anyone with me. I would highly recommend you stop here during your search. Beautiful selection and the staff will make the whole day magical.

UPDATE: Now that the wedding has taken place, adding photos of the Galaxy dress!! Today was the first fitting for our March brides wedding gown. New York Bride staff are phenomenal! They truly pay attention to meeting the brides needs. The fitting rooms are well equipped to hold the bride, her bridesmaids, and staff while maintaining social distancing protocols. KUDOS for another great experience at New York Bride & Groom. Our brides Galaxy gown and veil are in great hands. Looking forward to the second fitting in February.

I cant think of a better place to buy a wedding dress in Charlotte. I picked out my dress with family and friends in Virginia but wanted to purchase/alter it closer to home. The stylists are knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, and always excited to hear about your wedding plans. The alterations team is wonderful and my dress is beautiful!

Don’t let the outside fool you, this place is like a hidden gem. The inside is well kept and organized. The wedding dresses that you try on looks very clean and well taken care of. The staff is very professional and dress professionally as well. The lady that assist me help me get my dress zipped up and to look presentable to go out and show my mother.

I will admit at first I was hesitant to go to a larger showroom, but I was blown away as I received more personalized and wonderful customer service compared to a small boutique. In my opinion the selection has a great variety of styles and price points. The ladies do a great job at giving their insight but also letting you browse and choose. Diana was able to help me both times I came to try on dresses and she was fantastic! I am so glad because I know without New York Bride & Groom I would have been searching forever!

I had the best experience. Joann and all the staff allowed be to try on as many dresses as I needed. They listened to me and help me decide on a style that best fit me and my shape. They spent time with me and encouraged me to go home and sleep on things. I took their advice and came back first thing the next day, and I said yes to the dress!! Fabulous dresses. The Disney line of gowns is so magical. I wanted to buy several dresses, not just for the wedding. But just to wear to feel like a princess. I recommend the Ariel dress. But go check out the whole Disney princess line. Thank me later.

Ive gotten fitted here and have personally used the suit rental service here for a handful of weddings (my own included). Wouldnt mind cheaper pricing on suit rentals (personal opinion) but compared to some of the other options, franchise names in particular, they had the best pricing-to-quality-of-service available.I cant speak too much on whether it was difficult or not for out-of-towners as Ive lived near this location for all of my events. Think it was as simple as getting measured somewhere and sending them the measurements. We were able to replace a shirt weekend of the event for one of our groomsmen who was too big for their original measurements easy-peasy.Based on my experiences, Id fully recommend this place for your event; rental and fitting is easy, deposit process and full payment is easy, the staff there are quick to accommodate requests, and the rental return process is easy (for our events, weve had one person return most of, or all of, the suits the next day and they process them quickly - less than a few minutes.

I am beyond pleased with my experience! Joanne took the time to help work me through my indecision. She listened to my concerns and even noticed them without me expressing them - she was able to help me find the perfect dress that made me feel comfortable in my own skin!

I walk in and no one greets us. I asked did they have a dress in stock and they told me yes. I get the the dressing room and it’s a completely different dress. It was very hideous. Nothing like I wanted. I didn’t even want to try it on and she seemed offended that I didn’t like it. She went to get another one that wasn’t my style and again looked annoyed. Didn’t ask any questions about what exactly I wanted all she said was “okay” I’ve been to other bridal stores and they asked more questions, looked for my gowns etc. this girl didn’t care from the beginning. We was leaving and nobody said a word.Not sure why they commented on this post about a “loaner dress” I have no idea what that even means considering I was their for my wedding gown not a loaner gown. Horrible customer service and workers who don’t care

Our experience at NY Bride and Groom in Charlotte was great! The customer service was great from the time we walked in the door until the time we left. We had plenty of space and Mrs. Joanne made our experience! She was personable, kind, and knowledgeable! It was clear that she has been doing this for a while and I was grateful for her expertise that helped me say YES to the dress! If you are wanting a great and special experience I recommend asking for Mrs. Joanne to help you out. Prices were also reasonable in my opinion and I had plenty of options to choose from! The only thing missing was the champagne! 😂

The ladies at NYBG made buying my dress such a special experience. I went by myself just to look and left with my dream dress in the works. They have such a large plus size selection too which was so comforting and made it such an easy choice.

This was my 3rd bridal shop I visited in the past few weeks and I must say this place gave me the best dress shopping experience. Everyone was so friendly, helpful and overall AMAZING from the start to the end. I was greeted upon arriving and there was someone always there when you needed help. I ended having a young lady by the name of Lilyanna helping me try on dresses. She went above and beyond helping me find dresses and oh wow she can fit the dress to your body type so you can see exactly how the dress would look in your size. I had such a great experience at New York Bride! I went to try on dresses a few times before I was able to bring my Mom and pick the final dress. They kept track of everything I liked from previous visits, and Megan and Joanne were incredibly helping in finding dresses that matched my style. They were patient and wonderful through the whole process!!They went above and beyond when it was time to pick up my dress- my schedule was all off and I didn’t get a chance to pick up until the day before leaving for a destination wedding and the shop was closed. Returned to NY Bride and Groom after being a groomsman booked through them — the suit fit so well and the groom’s suit looked so great I decided to come back for my own wedding!Michelle and Corey were lovely and very helpful outlining options for rental, purchase, and custom. I decided to go with a custom plaid blue suit based on the quality and awesome price 👍 My fiancé and I are thrilled with the choice and it was a great buying experience!

We had the BEST time!!! My mother and I had been to a few other wedding dress shops. I have to friends at work that both recommended New York Bride to me. They both had the nicest things to say and the store has a great selection!! My mother and I went on a Tuesday afternoon. We were greeted right away and were shown the breakdown of the dresses and each section. We were able to look around freely without being followed and stared at. Omara was our AMAZING consultant and we had the best time!! She took great care of us and just knew what dresses to pull and asked all the right questions. After 4 hours of dresses I needed a break, because I wanted all the dresses at this point!!! We were informed about a trunk show and the designer was going to be in the building. We returned a week later and found THE ONE!!! The designer took time out to pull dresses for me and just really spend the time in finding what really speaks to me. After visiting David’s Bridal and having a horrible experience there at the Northlake location, my wife suggested we go to New York Bride and Groom. There we were greeted immediately with a smile from Brooke. She explained the store to us and set us up with dressing rooms and let us shop at our leisure. I don’t know when Joanne came in during our visit, but she was such a dream. My wife and I were both looking for a dress and Joanne asked if one wanted to outshine the other. Neither one of us did so she made she we complemented one another seeing as though we wouldn’t be seeing each other’s dress until the wedding day. I have had such a great experience with NY Bride and Groom. I came to the store first with my mother and sister to look for dresses, then again with girlfriends and then again on my own because I could not decide. The staff was so patient and helpful and kind every time I visited and when I was on my own, the woman who helped me took so much time with me and ultimately helped me make my final decision! We have since visited again for bridesmaid dresses, as well as for the groom and best man outfits from the Tux side. They options they have are so good. Each time I go back for something, I see many more dresses I want to try on. Pricing is also very good. Thank you all for everything, and for making this process easy!-I am adding to my review now that the wedding is complete. My dress was perfect. The alterations team helped me multiple times make sure that it fit just the way that I wanted it to. They also helped me get it packed up for my destination wedding.I have since taken it back to be preserved which was also a smooth process. I found my dress at New York bride! I had a great experience. They have a large selection of dresses for a reasonable price. I loved that it was more relaxed where you pick what you try on that way you know how much what you’re trying on is. I had went elsewhere before and they never asked me about budget and kept bringing me $3,000 dresses. Some people might like a place where they bring you dresses but I preferred picking them out myself.I can’t wait for my dress to come in!

The staff here is attentive and knowledgeable. The dress selection is impressive. The decor forcibly screams wedding (to some degree it feels like being put on the spot. The vibe is pretentious. All in all, I bought my dress after waiting two weeks, because it was the licensed dealer for the dresses I stalked online since last season.Update: I almost did not have a dress! I was not told they would be closed the Saturday of my wedding, not even at my last fitting. I called about something for the groomsmen and found out 3 days before. I was told it had been on their site for 2 months. Why would I be on the website if Ive already purchased my dress? Thankfully it all worked out but I would recommend better communication from the staff.

Huge selection of dresses and they are generally priced below price points youll find in other boutiques. The staff is awesome! SO friendly and helpful. I tried on roughly 30 dresses across 3 visits there and they were always eager to help. Plus, its really nice that you can just walk in without an appointment, and dont have to be in and out in under 60-90 minutes, like many other places. Highly recommend!

Great experience with my bridal gown and alterations! Make sure to start the shopping process in advance (9-12 months) to give your gown enough time to come in and get alterations done. My dress was PERFECT!

The people here are fantastic. I went here with a bride to be and she found some beautiful dresses. The people were super helpful and dedicated. Would recommend this place to any new brides!

In my 30 years of life I have NEVER had customer service like these ladies delivered. This place is the chick-fil-a of wedding dress shopping. They run flawlessly, they’re all kind, and all employees seem so genuine when communicating with you about questions, concerns or giving you advice! Brooke was PHENOMENAL! I adore her. Any employee would stop by to tell you how beautiful you looked, and ask how they could help. Y’all I’m serious, you can trust me, GO HERE FIRST. They had 300+ dresses of straight sizes and 150-200 dresses that were plus sizes. And to my plus ladies, listen! I’m always hesitant because being plus has its own hang ups, but never once did I feel judged or frowned upon. These ladies were uplifting, encouraging and KIND. I’m copy and pastin this review because everyone needs to know the hype is real.

Had such a great experience with NY Bride & Groom! More than enough dresses to choose from and a super helpful staff. Made the process seamless and easy! So nice to have in-house alterations as well.

I went there last night to find a wedding dress, my first time ever going to a bridal store. I decided to go during the week after work because I heard how packed it can get during the weekends. Best decision ever! There was hardly no one there so I had time to look around and try dresses on without many people around. I loved everything about the store and even though I’m not 100% sure on the dress yet I had an amazing experience.

I had an awesome experience! The ladies here are so nice and helpful, especially Joanne! Joanne stuck by my side for 2hours and helped me find my perfect dress! If you are looking for a dress and you dont want to feel rushed...then this is the place to go!

I would recommend New York Bride and groom to everyone! I originally went to Mens Warehouse and had a horrible experience. They had very few options and pushed me to buy which was out of the question. I left and went to New York Bride and Groom because my now wife was getting her dress from there and had only great things to say about them. From the moment I walked in I was impressed all the guys there are very personable and friendly. Not once did I feel pressured like I was dealing with sales men. They got what I wanted and made sure everything fit perfectly. When wedding time came around they adjusted some of my groomsmens tuxes without any problems. My wifes dress was absolutely stunning and fit her perfectly, and like I said she had nothing but great things to say about her experience as well. I couldnt have ask for a better experience.

I had to go in without a friend or family member to help guide me and support me while choosing my dress. Which we all know how overwhelming dress shopping can be. Joanne made my experience so magical. She listened to what I wanted, didnt want, etc. She went above and beyond to pull dresses while I was at work and have them ready for me when I arrived. I couldnt have asked for a better consultant to help me. She treated me like family and was so loving throughout the process. I wish I could give her more than 5 stars. She was so wonderful! I said yes to the dress!

My sisters and I came in today to find a dress, these ladies deserve 1,000 stars. From walking in to leaving they left us speechless with the attention and customer service every bride deserves. They did not try and up sale us anything that was out of our budget but instead helped us pull selections only in the budget. Smiles never left these ladies faces as my sister tried on dress after dress. She was then stuck between two dresses she couldn’t choose between and they never got frustrated in the slightest when my sister wanted to try them on over and over again to make sure she got the right one. Then when she finally decided and walked out of the room with her perfect one, those ladies hyped her up and started chanting her on. I also love how this place is laid out, it’s very relaxing and comfortable feeling and the lighting is to die for!It was such a pleasure going to this place especially after having a bad taste in our mouth leaving the last boutique.

I found my dress at NY bride and groom! They have a huge inventory and ample staff. I felt well taken care of and super special. Highly recommend!

The staff are WONDERFUL!!! They made sure I always had something to try on and kept bringing things they thought I would like based on my initial selection and what I had told her. I ended up saying yes to the dress that a staff member picked!! I never felt pressured to buy and was even told to not try on a dress if it was out of my price range so I didn’t get my hopes up which I appreciated so much! 10/10 recommend 100%!!!

I had such an amazing experience here. I went in a Thursday night and I practically had the place to myself. My salesgirl gave me basically all of her attention and was very respectful of my wishes. I never felt pressured one way or another to buy a dress. I felt like like I had plenty of options to choose from with a variety of ranges as well. I would highly recommend giving this place a chance when going dress shopping.

Everyone was so nice and helpful especially Joanne. She was such an amazing help in steering me to my dream dress. I would not have found it without her. I highly recommend this store to find exactly what you are looking for!

I went to three different bridal salons in the Charlotte area and this was the best by far. Everyone was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about all of the dresses. They had such a great stock, especially with their plus size dresses. I’m very hard at recognizing what dresses I seem to like and they knew exactly what would look good on me and what I would feel comfortable in. They listened to my wants and needs and delivered. Also, I want to give a huge shoutout to Elise the alterations manager. She saw my vision that I had for my dress and was confident she could make it happen. Everyone was super sweet and this salon is what I will always recommend to anyone looking for their wedding attire. My fiancé is even going there to get his tux! I wish I could rate higher than five stars.

It was a great experience! Tried on a few dresses today and I said yes to the dress! Everyone was really great and really cared how I felt and looked in my dress!

We had such an awesome experience! Sam and Lilianna were the best! They are friendly, knowledgeable, and they do alterations right there in the store. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We said “yes to the dress” at NYBRIDAL!

Although I didn’t end up buying my dress here, this was my favorite store of all! The staff is incredibly friendly and helped me find my style extremely quickly!!! I would say this store should be a first stop for any Charlotte bride!

I had the most wonderful experience with NYBG. More specifically, with Elise and Joanne! They were both SO helpful when I was choosing my dress. I came in with tears feeling stressed, and left with happy tears because I am so in love with my dress. I felt very supported and cared for. I will forever recommend NYBG to all future brides!!!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about New York Bride & Groom! Ms. Tracy and Ms. Joanne are amazing, sweet, knowledgeable, professional ladies! Another dress boutique had me feeling very disheartened and defeated, and these ladies turned my sad tears into tears of joy! They listened to what I wanted in a dress, gave me a tour of the store where I could see countless gorgeous dresses by well-known designers hanging everywhere, and pulled such spot-on gowns for me to try, that I fell in love with the very first one I put on. I had a special request to wear a nontraditional color, which required a little research on their part, to determine if they could get that dress in my requested color, and they didnt shy away from that. They called me back the next business day, and are having the dress custom made for me! I am pleased and impressed beyond description! Im so excited for this process and to have a gorgeous, unique, dress made just for me! I have been so over the moon with my experience here so far, I convinced my fiance to have his suit custom made here, as well. You will not find a more extensive, breathtaking selection of gowns nor superior customer service anywhere!

Staff is fantastic! I have no clue about dressing nice. The staff didnt even blink and helped me right along with the fitting process. Do recommend.

Horrible experience with the alterations department. Seamstress was incredibly rude and unhelpful. Ended up paying the same amount at another tailoring shop to get it fixed. They refused to refund or make up for the poor job done.

Lilliana and Diana were amazing consultants! I went last week with a friend, hesitantly because of my covid weight gain. They picked out dresses they complimented me well and hyped me up so much...to the point that I actually felt good about myself first the first time in awhile and cried. Great Customer service and beautiful dresses!

So I’ve been here 4x haha. They’re really friendly and helpful and I love that it’s one of the only places that allows walk in’s. Especially since I have one of those medical jobs where I have no idea what time get out of work. The changing rooms and stage areas are big, beautiful and comfortable and they let you take your time trying and moving around in the dresses.Anyhoo,I’m that neurotic indecisive bride who tried on 25 dresses at a few different stores but this was the first store I had went to.At nycb&g, I fell in love with a dress that I thought was too expensive and wound up buying a cheaper one at another store. After months trying to ignore that gnawing feeling of not really liking my dress too much and thinking of the other one all the time (even though this is my second wedding). I swallowed my pride and went back to nyc bride and bought an even lovelier Justin Alexander dress under 2k. Yup it’s expensive in my opinion. But you can find a lot of less expensive ones. After 15 minutes in the dress I just knew it was the one when I realized I couldn’t wait for my fiancé to see me in it. And I was able to return the first dress!!A word of advice to indecisive brides like me who don’t know which dress is “the one.” I noticed I kept showing friends pictures of the first dress I bought vs. the dress I really wanted to get. Don’t feel rushed to buy and get It over with. Try on dresses, take pics, and just think about it for a while until you’re certain and then save your little heart out to get the one you love, because it’s worth it in my opinion.

Everyone is extremely friendly and kind as soon as you walk in. For my dress shopping experience Joanne greeted me with a warm smile and helped me get my dream dress in less than 30 minutes. During the alteration process, Elise was very attentive to my needs. She made sure I walked out feeling good and that my dress fit perfectly. I have nothing but great things to say about NYB&G. Would recommend coming here to any future brides.
