Ava was so helpful and patient while we were picking out our fabrics. It was first time in the store so we werent sure what to expect. Wed seen some fabrics on the store website that she was diligent about helping us locate. We didnt purchase anything on the first visit but when we came back the following week, we were pleasantly surprised to learn that she had put aside the fabric we liked from the week before without us asking. Ill definitely come back. The selections were beautiful.
Great place! Got me a beautiful blouse for my next vacation! Employee was very warm and friendly. Answer all our questions and gave us a little history lesson. Will be back again..didnt have enough time.
Just so happened to Google African fabric stores in N. Carolina and found this gem. I live in Maryland and always look for new places to shop when visiting other states. Fabrics are reasonable around 8.00 yard. Very nice selection and quality. May be a bit overwhelming for some because its so much to offer. They offer more than fabric.. Headwraps, jewelery, and clothing. The young lady and man were behind the counter when I visited. If I didnt see it, she looked for it and even offered if it wasnt there they could try to get it in. Loved the fact that the business is family run and black owned. I will be back as soon as I visit N. Carolina again. Support local businesses!
I truly love the mud cloth ensemble I purchased. It is so comfortable and looks soooo good to me. The service was great as well..
Beautiful affordable afrocentric fabric. Looks like l founf my place to shop for African print fabric.
When we arrived at the store it blew me away, the location was a little sketchy but, when I went in, I was overwhelmed with all the beautiful wall to wall fabric and clothing. I was so pleased with the wonderful service I received while shopping. I loved it!!!
So far so good! It was my first time here and I loved the experience here. They were very helpful in helping me find what I needed and I was able to find something for me and my children. I will definitely be back.
The owner is nice. I found the perfect fabric there. If you want to have something made for you. You have to jave your order in about four weeks in advance.
Koubix is a wonderful place to go for African fashion, fabric, jewelry, shea butter and black soap, EVERYTHING! The store owner is amazing and I can remember the very first time I went there with my friend. We felt so welcomed there. She showed us around and was always there to help us if we had questions or needed anything. It was a day I will never forget. The service was wonderful and the quality of the clothing and items are amazing. She also sells waist beads, purces, bonnets, scarves, masks, everything! Go pay Koubix a visit because you are missing out if you havent!
Affordable prices, beautiful fabric and professional service.
A unique find with beautiful garments for men and women. Custom tailoring available too!
They always have the best fabric with great pricing. The customer service is always great too!
One of my favorite black owned business
Very disappointed. Wanted to support a black owned business and after a 30 minute drive I arrived only for it to be closed after checking the website that said it was opened
Excellent customer service! The selection of fabrics is second to none. Found breathe taking African Wedding lace for my sister in-law wedding
Very unique and beautiful pieces. Reasonably priced.
Awesome service! And Faith is awesome and is so sweet! May God bless these people and this place :)
...and the one star is because I have to give something. Nice selection of items but terrible ownership and customer service. Took 2-3 weeks for the most SIMPLE alteration. Asked for a shirt to be taken in and never ONCE saw an actual seamstress. Apparently the owner does not even work at her own shop. The shirt was measured on two different occasions..both times by women who knew nothing about sewing or alterations. Seamstress decided to do what she wanted with the garment instead od what the PAYING customer asked for. We did not pay for an opinion, we paid for an alteration. Oh and cherry on top..the shirt was done and we were never even notified. Who knows for how long?! Theeeen no one ever answered the phone for 2 days peior to just showing up. The story was clearly empty, as always, so not sure why they couldnt return or answer calls/texts. Paid for an unsatisfactory job just to get away from a RUDE and argumentative saleswoman. Will not be back..take heed. The clothes may be fine at face value (hence the good reviews) but anything more...please advise and save your time and money.
Nice fabric. Customer service was poor. Asked to see another fabric and I was told same cloth different design. Attendant wouldnt show the fabric. I said thanks and left, not a bye or come again. Wont be going back.
Small boutique w/authentic african material/clothing. Some outside brands, reasonably priced, owners on site and helpful. Willing to make/alterations.
This store has the largest selection of African laces and wax prints at very low prices. They also make customized outfits for #proms #weddings and any event that u want something unique for. They are also asoebi specialists
