Decided to have someone install our TV on our stone fireplace as I didn’t want to damage it attempting to do it myself. I am glad that I had John from South Charlotte Services install it. Great experience from the quote to installation day. Quote had details for each item of the installation including options for me to choose from. The day of installation was smooth and quick. You could tell John has done this before and he sure did a great job. Will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to have their TV mounted.

John is great to work with and makes sure everything looks perfect. We have had him help us before and were so glad that he was able to come and help us install 4 TVs in our new home. He made sure everything looked just right and even switched out the mounts for one of them when it didn’t look good. We plan on having him back for an outside installation that is complex but trust his expertise. He really know what he is doing.

My project is a little bit tricky because the tv needs to be mounted on top of the fireplace and there are shelves on both sides. The wires need to be routed from the side and then go underneath the shelf, also there is a gas pipe inside the wall around where we need cut from the side. John took time to drill pilot holes, observe the situation and come up with good plans. It turns out nice with the outlet at the corner of the shelf, very unnoticeable. I would highly recommend John for TV mount projects.

I wanted my 65” TV to go in front of my fireplace and I knew it would be difficult because of the side columns. Google recommended South Charlotte Services and I’m glad I listen to Google. I filled out the form online, got a quote and was able to set up an appointment for the following week. Customer service sometimes seem like an lost art but I receive that and then some every step of the way. I was concern about wires and lines behind the fireplace walls. I was reassured that would be checked before. My TV was mounted in no time and they had me ready for opening night NFL football. Looks great and the TV extends out so the columns aren’t an issue.

I’ve been trying to schedule an appointment with this company for over a week now. I’ve called and receive no response only text messages. I’ve received several quotes and after accepting them, no one ever shows up. I’ve stayed home for two days and they never show up when they say they will. Not sure if this is a scam or legit company. South Charlotte TV Mounting service did an awesome job mounting a TV in my garage. They used an older mount of mine which wasnt the best - but were able to use materials they had on hand to ensure the TV was securely mounted and centered where I wanted it. They know exactly what they’re doing and the TV looks like it belongs on the wall where they put it, a very clean and professional look, with no traces of cables, or wires.Also-still cheaper than your basic box store installation.They were extremely pleasant and professional, and explained each of their steps in detail so we could understand. They also made sure to ask us exactly where and how the TV would go up on the wall so our viewing experience would be better.Bonus: they wore masks due to COVID-19, even took their shoes off when they got in, and cleaned up every last thing, and cleaned the TV screen too before they left.

Great experience, and top notch customer service. They came the same day that we spoke to them and were incredible. Super high level of detail to ensure everything was done the right way. Demonstrated at tremendous amount of knowledge especially since we were needing to have our 65 inch TV hung on a stone fireplace on a swinging mount that would also tilt up and down. They were able to get the TV hung in less that 2 hours and their rate or price to hang the TV was one third of what Best Buy Geek Squad was going to charge us. John was prompt and told me exactly what mount to order due to the tv niche. Once i ordered the mount i was able to work with John on a time to come out and install the mount and tv. He was very flexible and accommodating with my work schedule. He sends you a text letting you know he is on his way and you can track him in route to ensure exactly when he will arrive. Once he arrived he was pleasant, clean, knowledgeable, and paid extreme attention to detail. He made sure the tv was level and secure. Allowed me to turn the tv on to ensure that it worked before he secured everything in place. This job was tricky for someone like myself to try to tackle due to the wide niche, but John knocked it out of the park. The kind of service you just can’t seem to find anymore these days.From our initial conversation, I could tell John had expertise with the particular tv I purchased (The Frame). He explained how the mounting and wire concealment is different from other TVs. I had called around a few places and no one went into detail about the service as he did. One company even told me I had to go to Best Buy to purchase some equipment for inside the wall. I wasn’t even sure what they were talking about.John made the process easy and painless. He brought all the necessary equipment. I was having two TVs mounted. He lifted one all the way to the fourth floor himself. He was very attentive to my requests of alignment and symmetry on the walls. I really appreciated that. I’ve had other handy men before who installed shelves or hung pictures and mirrors and didn’t really listen to how I wanted it. John was very customer-oriented and asked me to confirm if I liked it before he hung them. He also gave me his advice about the height, which I’m glad I took.Both TVs turned out great. John stayed afterwards to help set-up both TVs and ensure they worked. For the frame one, it was having an issue connecting to the internet. John tried several measures but we determined it was something I was going to have to call Samsung about because the internet worked just fine. I was very impressed that John stayed after installation to try to get the TVs up and running. He was not rushing through the job as I’ve experienced with other handymen services. I recently purchased a brand new 65 inch television and knew I needed someone with the expertise to install it correctly. Why pay a lot of money for a top of the line TV only to have it installed by an inexperienced installer(?) I found several installers on line many of which were less expensive than South Charlotte Services. I imagine theres a reason why. SCS gave me a fair quote within a few hours to not only install my new TV but to move my existing one to another room. They not only took their time to make sure it was exactly like I wanted but they were very professional in all aspects of the install. I would highly recommend them to anyone who wants the job done right the first time!

Mounted a TV above the fireplace and the wall was somehow bowed out, plus there was some cement or sheet rock behind the dry wall, but luckily John had the expertise to get the mount secured to the wall. I’m glad I hired a professional for the job. He was also informative about how to mount the TV on the wall if I ever needed to do it myself one day. He did a great job.

Dont look anywhere else for TV mounting, especially mounting into a brick fireplace. John secured a 55 television on our chimney without ruining the brick, did a great job of concealing the wires, and all while being engaging and entertaining. Plus, he is very competitive with his pricing!

I made an appointment with them for Saturday at 2pm. I moved a lot of my schedule around to make sure I was in my new home and the TV was there so he could mount it. He NEVER showed. I texted him 3 times to the same # hed already responded to the book the service.... and he never responded... not once. If you cant make it let me know, but ghosting someone and wasting my time was BS.

I’m very impressed with Mr. John Clay’s service! From the very beginning to the end. The appointment setup was very easy doing it online and having a estimate for the job already on paper so you know what’s due. I moved into a new house and needed 3 televisions mounted on the wall. This was no easy job with big televisions ranging from 46 to 75inch. Mr. John Clay explained every step of the way on what he is doing and makes sure I enjoy the view of where the tv will be mounted. He had protective mat to protect the walls and floor. I also had several HDMIs cables into the wall and he did a phenomenal job in concealing the cables and and also secured the wires neatly behind the televisions! I also had Mr. John Clay take off my televisions that were mounted on my old house and he took good care and was very careful of taking the televisions off the wall and placed it in my car. I’m very appreciative that he came on New Years Day and spent 5 hours making sure everything including my speakers were up and working! While moving here to the Charlotte area I was very pleased to find South Charlotte Services. They installed a sixty (60) inch TV over my fireplace which I had told could be done but for several hundred dollars more by another contractor.
