The technician with glass doctor did a fantastic job on replacing my windshield. He was very quick and not to mention very nice. The receptionist that I’ve spoke with many times is always very nice and very helpful. Not to mention, their prices are pretty hard to beat. What an amazing non frustrating experience with the people at glass doctor. Their competitors wanted me to wait 2 weeks before I could get a windshield replaced. glass doctor was at my home the next day. And was way cheaper. I hope I dont break another window but if I do I know who to call.

They did a fantastic job. Tracy was especially helpful in coordination. She conference called with my insurance to arrange the appointment, she arranged the set up the recalibration of my eyesight with the Subaru Dealership and got me in much quicker than anyone else!

The guy came to my house took out my old windshield that had a nasty crack in it and got the new one in in no time he was great!!! 10 out 10 would recommend them and come back for any other services I might need!!!!

Glass Doctor came in with an estimate that was an excellent value. What I like best is there were NO hidden fees. The quote included tax, disposal fee and new clips. Besides that they have a 1 year warranty against breakage or chips. So if you get damage they will repair it or replace the windshield if necessary. The work was very professional and the installer showed up on time.

They done a very good job

I called them Friday morning and they came Monday morning to my home and installed the new windshield. Amazingly fast turnaround time. Also, theyve been very professional and courteous. I was amazed at how inexpensive the whole thing was.

Just called glass doctor, they quoted me $579 to replace my windshield. When I said, no thank you, you are $200 higher than another place. They amazingly were able to drop the price by $150. Rather shaddy. I will not have this place replace my windshield, since they play games with the price.This placed called me back 30 minutes after I left this review, from the local office to offer me a third price. This business is ripping off old people who dont price shop and trust that they are getting a fair price.

It was great having my windshield replaced at my home. However, the technician did I not clean the windshield after completing the instillation. I still have a film on the inside of the windshield. I can also hear air coming through the windshield as I drive down the highway.Edit: I added a star because they replaced my windshield at no cost to make sure the windshield was sealed properly. I just wish they would clean the windshield before they install; it is so hard to clean once it is installed.

Great service, easy to work with, fair prices. Had a single-hung windows top sash replaced (this is not easily removable). Sent pictures and measurements over email, and within 2 weeks, the technicians took it out and created/cut a new 30.5 x 27 wide double-pane on-site to the same size and re-installed the replacement within 1 hour for ~$370.

The staff was very polite and professional everytime I spoke to them on the phone. They told me about a coupon that was online that I would have never known about and would not have been necessary for me to hire them to change my windshield. They were very good about keeping me updated regarding my appointment since the weather caused it to be postponed. Their technician was professional and performed the work quickly without leaving any mess or signs of rushing the work. I had to split my payment between two different cards which they had no issues accommodating for me. I would definitely recommend this company to others since they use high quality OE equivalent glass rather than the cheap Chinese glass that other companies in the same price range use. The price was right, the quality was right and the service was great! A+ all around from me!

The technician was rude on the phone saying out directions were “awful”. We have had other service providers find us with the same directions and has he ever heard of Google maps?And as he arrived I said good morning and he made a hhmmmpp sigh. Rude. Worst service company I have ever dealt with. Sometimes you get companys that have good customer service. Sometimes you get companys that have good craftsmanship. A great company has both. This company has neither. From the installers to management, their service is poor at best. Everyone makes mistakes. Its what you do to correct those mistakes when they happen that counts. They could have taken care of this by simply doing the right thing, but every chance they had they to do so they chose not to. If they gave my money back and offered to replace every windshield in my fleet for free, I still wouldnt use or recommend them! They are not local. They arent even located in Charlottesville, so before they even begin work for you they are telling you a lie.1. Botched the replacement of the windshield on a brand new truck.2. Acted like I was wrong for calling them to make a quality repair.3. Made me wait for a return visit even though water was pouring down the INSIDE of a truck i.e. dash board, back up camera and stereo.4. Tried to use a cheap patch job on their brand new window they replaced in my brand new truck.5. Set an appointment to replace their windshield AGAIN after their shoddy repair didnt work and Rescheduled that appointment twice.6. Promised to bring documentation stating they were fully responsible for any damage to any electrical components and two weeks later I have received NOTHING. Every time I call I get one lie after another about why I havent received it.

Called to get my windshield replaced the woman I spoke to gave me an estimate and set up an appointment for the the next day at around 8 amI am at my job waiting then its 945 am so I call to find out where the technician was she says to me I told you yesterday we would do it between 12 and 1pm that right there put a sour taste in my mouth due to the fact my whole day now has to be rearranged around them due to dishonesty. Being on time and communication with someone Im giving my money to is a plus but they started business with Me with a flat out lie. Not to mention after I quoted every word she said she said I will fix it. I ask myself how do you fix a lie. If I need another service I will not be using them again.

Very impressed with the customer service from Glass Doctor. They were on time, efficient and affordable.

Just had four windows in our house repaired where the seals had broken, and they not only look good but it was a surprisingly pleasant experience (even besides the tech being friendly, polite, quiet, mindful of putting covers over his shoes...). When the tech first got done with the two top window panes that had grids between the glass, I was worried because the grids were crooked, didn’t line up with the grid in the panes below. I said something to him about it and he didn’t say anything and I was like, uh-oh, it’s going to take him a really long time to redo them and he’s not going to want to do it and I’m either always going to have crooked window grids or Im going to have to argue about this, maybe even call the company and complain. But to my surprise, he took them out and fixed them! No argument, no complaining, no huffing and sighing or rolling his eyes. Very refreshing. We’ve had a lot of work done on our house lately and this has not been our usual experience when people don’t do a job to our satisfaction and we point it out to them. Several people have refused to fix jobs that were obviously not well done. So when Glass Doctor talks about customer satisfaction, they mean it!

I am writing in response to a review posted on March 27th, 2015. I would like to address some of the inaccurate facts stated in the review. My name is Chad Wilcher and I am the new Owner of Glass Doctor Charlottesville. We took ownership as of September 2014. I do understand your frustration. However, it is very unrealistic to expect that mirrors located in a public gym should be warranty after almost two years. Not eight months as stated in the review. We service many gyms throughout central Virginia successfully and a mirror in such environments are rarely warranty due to the nature of the environment in a gym. Next I would like to address the fact that we just sent a quote on 3/26/15 to replace the broken mirror at a discounted price (to find common ground and to be empathetic to your situation) so I do not understand how this review was done on 3/27/15. I do understand the frustration of a change in ownership however, I do not see a need to wrongfully accuse and make false accusations in regards to how we conduct business as we pride ourselves in being a company that meets in the middle and focuses on 100% customer retention. I am sorry that you may have had frustrations in the past with the previous ownership and that is why we are so diligently working to correct all customer concerns. I would be more than happy to have taken your call or meet you in person about your concerns if we were given the chance. Every quote/work order and invoice has a direct message from myself to contact me with any concerns both negative and positive. I in no way was made aware until the review was posted that you were so unhappy with the service you had received. I hope that all reading this review can see that we pride Glass Doctor Charlottesville on happy customers and are very active in making sure that reputation continues to be positive. I had a chip repair the size of a nickel fixed. The lady in the office was very helpful and professional. The technician was on time and completed the job in 10 minutes. However, debris was left on my hood from the work performed. Glass Dr is $50-60 dollars cheaper than Safelite. Overall thus far, Im satisfied.
