Just purchased a new bike, the staff and service folks answered all my questions showed me several different bikes and helped me choose the one right for me. I was there several hours never felt rushed and they continued to take the time to work with me on the perfect bike.I’m now considering buying a second bike. If you are looking at the big box stores for a bike, I would suggest spending just a little bit more and getting the perfect bike for you. They take the time to fit the bike to not only you but your needs.Awesome bike store!

I could not be more satisfied with Blue Ridge Cyclery (BRC). The service was outstanding and prompt. Not being a diehard cyclist or even enthusiast by any means, I naturally felt a bit anxious walking into a business that specializes in the lifestyle. Upon walking in, I was greeted in a way that made me feel welcomed.You can tell that BRC is dedicated both to the lifestyle and their community. Rob, the service manager, knew exactly what to do and was able to explain to me what he was doing. The ensuing delivery and pickup was hassle free - the store even went out of their way to address my needs outside their normal business hours which helped immensely as I was running errands with a newborn.Needless to say, the BRC staff are extremely professional and customer oriented. 10/10 recommend.

Blue Ridge had available parts and supplies at a time when they are hard to find and other shops just don’t have stock. I called and a part was ready on the counter when we arrived. I was able to get my bike diagnosed and fixed right on the spot so I did not have to second guess. The knowledge and service are great.

I came in looking to purchase an eBike. Despite the nation-wide bike shortage, BRC had just what I was looking for! I tested out two bikes and asked the staff a ridiculous number of questions before making my decision. Staff were patient, knowledgeable, and helpful. I live quite a ways from the Connor Dr store where I purchased the bike, but less than a mile from the downtown location. I asked if they could transfer the bike to the downtown location so that I could ride it home from there. The staff did one better and delivered the bike directly to my home!

I have purchased 2 bikes from Blue Ridge Cyclery in the past year and was very pleased! Of course with Covid, the biking industry has been overwhelmed. The owner Shawn Tevendale was very helpful when i placed the order on both bikes and great in getting them to Cville, in a timely manner, considering the supply chain problems. All employees have been great as well--Eli in particular was very helpful and patient with me, when i decided i wanted another color, after i ordered my 2nd bike! Looking forward to working with BRC in the future and highly recommend them for bike sales and service in Cville! Allen.

I had great experience here. My tire was flat and as soon as I entered inside the store I was taken care of and they even opened the door for me while exiting. I was out in less then 10 minutes.

I drove from over an hour away to check out the Pivot selection as there are no Pivot dealers here in Richmond. Shawn immediately went out of his way to make me feel like he wanted to earn my business. The staff at both locations was friendly and knowledgeable during the research stages of the buying process. Had an awesome experience buying a Trek mountain bike at this store for my sons 8th birthday. Jip, the store manager, went out of her way to help me and get my sons bike on time for his 8th birthday. Was really impressed, considering the back log of bikes in the market at the time because of covid. My son was super excited, he even shed a few tears when we gave him his bike.

Looking for parts for my trek, looked around to check prices.$$$$ overheard sales person give every excuse why service wouldnt be done on inquiring customers bicycle for at least two weeks on their bikes. Walked out even when I was looking at tires and chain lube. Not a very good selection vsry small. Store was cramped with boxes. Bikes High Priced and Overpriced. Wont be back✌️

I felt very reassured receiving a safe to use product. They also took our old bikes no questions asked, to be donated to a good cause.This is a great small local business worth your patronage. They are the type of shop that makes you feel like part of the team when youre there but also knows when to kick in the 5 star customer service when youre ready to do business or handle a concern. Went in to get 2 new tires for my trek mountain bike. The guy at the shop showed me my options, explained the price differences in tires, and answered all my questions. Im still not sure how the price came out as cheap as it did but I will definitely be getting all of my bike accessories at this shop. Awesome customer service. I went here to buy the first bike Ive bought on my own. The worker who helped me directed me to a bike that was exactly what I wanted - in fact, it was the one I was looking at online before I went to the store. I got a high-quality but relatively inexpensive (much less than other bike shops in the area, a bit more than big box stores) cruiser. He also helped me pick out the right bike lights. I was pleased to find out that the shop will do free minor repairs on the bike and give me $25 off the labor if the bike needs more extensive repairs. I will definitely be back!

My family and I rented bikes from Blue Ridge Cyclery and had the best experience with the shop. Staff and owner were very friendly and knowledgeable. When we were out on a ride and had a chain break, we called the shop and 20 minutes later a rescue vehicle pulled up, brought us Gatorade and shot blocks, and fixed the chain so we could be on our way. Could not have a more positive review of Blue Ridge Cyclery! And cant wait for the new location to open up!

Jip helped me pick out the right Trek Dual Sport and then customize it for my riding style/needs. Some of the customizations were special order items, and she handled it all. Their techs took care of the installs and even explained what they were going to do beforehand. And they did a great job tuning-up my wifes Specialized Hybrid too...my wife says it has never ridden better. My wife and I have been doing rail-trails since April and are having a great time. Blue Ridge is my go to shop.

This was my first visit this shop (but not my last). They have a good inventory and very helpful staff. The lead mechanic took the time to chart out his favorite ride for me and even gave me a card to call if we need some help on the ride. Quality!! Please come to Northern Virginia.

Every time I visit the store Im impressed with how much the folks there know. Since we usually learn to ride a bike as kids, its easy to think that bikes are simple. As the passion for riding sets in, you realize how many little details are involved in a good bike and a good experience. Ive been into Blue Ridge Cyclery several times over the last couple of years for several different services. Ive always found the staff to be helpful and the prices are always competitive. Ill continue to get my bike services here.My only complaint stems from an issue I had today. I went in to rent a bike for the day only to be told they dont rent bikes on Sunday. That would be a great piece of information to include on the website.

Poor service and wanted to charge me $80 to simply run new cables on a road bike. When I was asking what made it $80 he would not give me an answer instead he said Ok we will just make it $60 does that work for you? Daniel had a terrible attitude from the phone call I made to see if they were busy to me leaving. I would not recommend this shop to any that has ever been to a GOOD bike shop.

Living with an avid cyclist for 13+ years, Ive been inside many bike shops across the state. Im a big girl, and its always the same reaction from the employees. The look on their faces say, you dont belong here and they never bother to ask if they could help me. Until I visited BRC several years ago!! They saw past all that and saw a gal wanting to improve her life and wanting to be able to ride with her boyfriend. Over the years, they have helped me purchase 3 bikes and clothing and nutrition items. The folks at BRC make me feel welcome and are always very helpful when we visit the stores. They are knowledgeable when we ask them questions and never act like its a stupid question. They are incredible folks providing the best products. Thank you!

Best bike shop in Cville, hands down. I wont ever go anywhere else. When I was having issues with my crank arm coming loose during a road ride, and my little multi-tool wasnt enough to get it right, I stopped by Blue Ridge.. They fixed it for me immediately, no charge. Later, I was having some issues with my rear derailleur. I had heard good things about Performance, and since it was closer, went there to have it checked out. The service guy didnt even look at it, just gave me a form to sign and told me he should be able to have it ready in 4 days, later if it needed a new hanger. Walked out, drove down to Blue Ridge, they immediately went to work on it, replaced the hanger on the spot, 30 later Im good to go. Bike selection is good, prices are very reasonable, particularly for a small/private bike shop. Offer some great sales throughout the years as well. Staff is extremely helpful, and wont try to drain your wallet with any unnecessary charges.

What a great shop, These folks get it done right! and I just found out they offer Trek Products which is huge plus. I would highly recommend their products and services to any one who likes basic Bikes and/or is a series Tri- Athlete.

Went in for a bike chain missing link a less than a 5 dollar part but i was treated like i was buying a new bike. The only downside i have is that every worker in the store asked if i needed help. I can only say no thank you so many times lol. I definitely will be back for a bike tune up soon to see if there service department is as good as their sales floor.Went back and asked for a crank puller and the entire front section had no idea they called someone from the back and they were at least able to know what i was talking about but they said that was a special order part and they either wanted me to order it or if i did not want to order it they told me to bring my bike in. went to performance bike and had a crank puller in no time

Perhaps I’m going through a mid-life crisis, but hey, whatever. A BMX is cheaper than a boat and I’m no fisherman. Blue Ridge Cyclery hooked me up (built it and all) with a wethepeople arcade BMX with a 21” top tube, and two days in, I’ve been having the time of my life with my two kids, 6 and 8. PS Their ages, not their names. Excellent service and very friendly staff. They even fixed my son’s Spider-Man Huffy at no charge. In need of a solid bike that is built to last? Go to Blue Ridge Cyclery. Support your local dudes and dudettes. As for me, I’m off to the skate park, new gray hairs and all.
