Very runny cappucino. Milk frothing was amateurly done. Not barista standard. I ordered decaf cappucino.
Overall a very good experience was had at this location. The espresso was very good, the best I’ve had in a long time. Had the Commuter sandwich for breakfast and, WOW! It was absolutely incredible. My mouth is still watering. The customer service at the register left a little bit to be desired, but when I enquired about the origin of their coffees, the barista was knowledgeable and friendly. An excellent experience.
Great coffee and smoothies... amazing fresh tea leaves choices. Expect a wait, but its worth it.
Got a matcha latte. Which included white chocolate to reduce the bitter taste I believe. Its was gang busters good
Great food and coffee - the espresso roast is nice and strong while the drip coffee spans a range. Great atmosphere!
Amazing amazing amazing amazing is all I xan say I love love live the sports tea
Had a lovely breakfast with Mrs. Food was great too.
I absolutely love this coffee shop! From the coffee to the food! Always met with a smile and a great attitude as well!
Very crowded but good food and coffee!
Good coffee and breakfast and plenty of indoor + outdoor seating. :) Ill be back!
Only went once when we were in Cville. But the best coffee of any place we stopped at (and we drink a lot of coffee). Good breakfast sandwiches also.
Greenberrys is hands-down my favorite coffee shop in Cville -- the coffee and service are fantastic, and the staff at the Barracks shop create a very welcoming, family-like atmosphere among the staff and customers. Thanks for all that you do, highly recommend!
This place was super good! Went on a Sunday around noon and it was very busy, but we were still able to find a seat. We didn’t get coffees, but breakfast sandwiches were great! Would come back
Great coffee and breakfast foods
The coffee is amazing, the service is fantastic, and Missy (the manager) is awesome (and fun!).
The nitro cold brew was impressive. Everything else I had was ok but not great.
Good place to get coffee and a burrito in the morning
Loved the caramel vanilla latte prepared perfectly to my requested customizations! The egg/spinach/cheddar breakfast sandwich was the best breakfast sandwich Ive ever had especially on the gluten free rosemary English muffin from Orange Dot bakery. Thank you for making me aware of Orange Dot! The mellow mango smoothie was so refreshing and not too sweet! Thank you for great friendly service! Ill be back for sure!
Arguably the best shop in town for coffee, and aesthetics are a high step above Shenandoah joe’s. Tip — get their coffee at Costco instead of purchasing directly in bulk; it’s 1/4 of the price.
I like coming here. It’s not a Shenandoah Joe, but the next best thing. So, 4.7 stars :)
Always thumbs up!
Food is amazing! Also the customer service is always great
Really enjoyed stopping in here after dinner. I purchased a reasonably priced americano and received it in less than 2 minutes. 🤙🏼 I added some honey from the condiment bar and then realized there wasn’t a substitute milk option out- so I asked the girl at the counter for some soy and she hooked me up right away with a smile! My espresso shots tasted perfect (even before I added my unnecessary ingredients) and I pretty much burned my tongue with how fast I drank my beverage. I will definitely be back for more! ♥️
Got here a little before 9:30am and was shocked to see the store full of people without masks. The store is TINY and people who were not actively eating or drinking were just sitting and chatting, no tables looked to be social distanced. We debated going inside but were too afraid.
A little coffee shop with a good variety of items and drinks. Quality and price are positive - the shop itself feels a bit small as its already a small location and they pack a ton of tables into the place. Its located right in the approximate center of Barracks Road Shopping Center which makes it easy to access from a lot of the big parking lots around but actual parking in front of it is extremely limited due to the number of small shops in its little block.
I was just looking for a fast breakfast since I will be leaving in a couple hours. I Googled you. I was going to do the healthy toast but my heart wanted the Daybreak Breakfast Burrito. I listened to my heart and so glad I did! So yummy! The cilantro! The chorizo! Magnificent! AND IT WAS NOT DRIPPING OILY! The eggs were not dry! Worth my money! Thank you for the best last breakfast in Charlottesville!
Our orders were incorrect. Service was really slow. Food was decent. Overall nice staff.
Must go back! This place is fantastic!!
Coffee was extremely good just wish they had fresh food to offer in the evening time I was a traveler from out of town and very hungry
Love this place, coffee is always fresh!
GREAT coffee and sandwiches in this locale. Crowded at times, but the line goes fast. No table service. Order and sit down till your food is called. Friendly service and usually two brews - regular and a bold. Go for the bold!
Cranberry muffins are a standout
Great place with outdoor sitting(you know, for the new normal)Anyway, the food options were really healthy and delicious. Coffee was good.
Starbucks is big baby compared to daddy Greenberrys
Personally the coffee here was not the best I have had. I got a caramel latte and it was bland.
Local institution. Nice staff, good coffee with above average baristas. Baked goods are fresh made in house. Their English muffins are the best I have ever had and I highly recommend their breakfast sandwiches. Outdoor seating is nice except on cold days. Go!
First time in, I ordered a decaf coffee and a pumpkin muffin to go. The cup put on the counter for me was not decaf (good thing I checked) and the pumpkin muffin, which had pumpkin seeds on top leading me to believe there might only be pumpkin seeds inside the muffin, turned out to have walnuts in it (to which I am allergic) which I discovered only after biting into it. That should absolutely be disclosed on the tag-maybe call it a pumpkin-nut muffin? Id expect walnuts in banana muffins, but have never heard of them with pumpkin. Now Im left with no breakfast and an itchy tongue. At least the coffee was okay.
The product and indoor atmosphere is excellent. I dont like the fact they allow smoking in the outside seating area. This should be banned. I noticed smoking receptacles strategically placed within the Barracks Road Shopping Center but none where people sit outside and eat. When we were there a patron confronted another patron who was smoking and asked him to move. I would give Greenberrys a 5 rating and place it above the Starbucks we normally visit in the area if it were not for their outside smoking policy.
I threw up in the bathroom and it smelled kinda funny in there, also their grapes could have been a little fresher.
I dont drink coffee but I like the food. Pastries are good, hot items are good, and the prices are good. Service is prompt, seating is comfortable, and there are plenty of options. I just wish they had the zucchini when I was there
Solid but not my favorite as far as the coffee goes, but some decent small bites type food and a nice vibe in the shop.
You won’t be disappointed. Great food and drink options. From the warm fireplace in the winters to the cool outdoor seating in the summer it’s a relaxing place to get some work done or enjoy a good book.
Nice place, great service and a good place to study during the evening. They have music playing in the background and the smell of coffee creates a great atmosphere.
Greenberrys has been a Cville staple for decades, and for good reason. Its more of a sit and work/chat kind of place now but it is pretty great.
Decent coffee and a solid workspace. The breakfast burritos are a great quick meal, and the menu is not expensive either. Overall, it’s the best spot for coffee in the Barracks area.
This has the best hot chocolate Ive ever had, the main man Shane knows how to do it, worth ever penny here 10/10!
Great place! Cozy and modern atmosphere. Highly recommend the Daybreak Burrito
The staff is friendly and the coffee is shop is relaxing. I started out having a good experience enjoying a Chai Tea while seated inside. The day was sunny and beautiful. My spouse and I decided to sit outside in the seating area and sip our Chai Tea. Unfortunately, there was a person sitting in the immediate area smoking. I am health conscious and I have respiratory problems. The smoke polluted the small seating area. We moved twice to get away from the smoke but was unsuccessful. At least two patrons complained to the smoker about the stench of the smoke. My husband went inside of the coffee shop to talk to the manager and inquired about their policy on smoking in the outdoor seating area. He was given a lame excuse and basically told that Barracks Road allows smoking. We will no longer patronize this coffee shop. Our health comes first and is critically important!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fast service and yummy tea! You get a to-go cup whether you are staying or not, though. I prefer to hold a mug to drink my tea and thats the only reason I didnt give them five stars.
Aways friendly service. Always great coffee!!!
Quick, efficient, and good. Corey is so sweet and kind. She helped guide me to a tea that I now love and get every time. The interior is cute and has a welcoming feel.
Best coffee in town! Great nitro cold brew.
Greenberrys is our go to spot for the best coffee in C-ville. The staff is so accommodating ... especially Corey! Thank you for your continued excellence.
I only had coffee. Cant comment on the food. Lots of people with laptops. Looked comfortable. Not too much noise. Coffee was OK. Better than Starbucks.
It can be hard to find seats, especially on weekend mornings. This doesnt stop my friends & me from meeting here most mornings, after running and before we all rush to work. Coffee is great, food too. I love the scones and the pumpkin muffins/cookies.
Good service but not many coffee options
Paid too much for a cup of coffee, chai tea, breakfast sandwich and small breakfast burrito (it would take two to be satisfied). Me and my three friends had to wait between 30-45 minutes depending on what we ordered. We were not warned how long it would take nor apologized to for our inconvenience. Next time we are just going to Panera bread which is in the same strip mall.
Great coffee with fairly priced refills. Food is tasty, but expensive relative to the many options within a two-minute walk. Cool, friendly staff. Open later than most coffee shops around town.
Their nitro coffee on tap is amazing. The employees are very knowledgable and the environment is excellent for hanging out or working.
Good coffee and good service
I love coffee, very much so, and Im all for trying new things. Im not hard to please, but something just tastes off whenever I get drinks from here. Their fruit smoothies are delicious, but Ive ordered a caramel macchiato from them about 3 times and each time I feel like Ive gotten a different drink. I know that baristas each have their own style and ways of doing things. Im ok with that. If it was slight differences here and there between coffees then I wouldnt mind or be offended in the slightest, but the prices are too high to keep getting drinks that leave you feeling disappointed. Its an okay atmosphere, though I always feel its a bit too crowded (beyond cozy) and the crowd there seems to be the regulars. I think that theres been space for sitting maybe once or so that Ive been there, but the chairs are mostly packed - so even if I wanted to relax and enjoy their ever changing coffee, I couldnt. Considering they are the only actual coffee shop in Barracks road, they may want to look into expanding their perimeters and seating a bit. I can suggest you try them. Maybe youll like them, I just know that Ive not been satisfied with their products.
Visited sat afternoon. ive had nothing but enjoyable experiences here and plan to keep visiting. prices are decent.
Coffee is not very good, had both brewed and espresso and both taste burnt. First time had veggie wrap was great, second time they were stingy with hummus and goat cheese. Plus the bathrooms smell like urine.
Quick, cute, and very friendly staff. I got the vanilla cold brew, and it was delicious.
Best coffee in town!
Loved it as a customer and loved it even more as a barista! Everyone was kind on both sides of the counters. Just a really nice atmosphere. :)
First visit today and was greeted with a smile and fantastic suggestions of the Curry Wrap, Bacon Ranch Wrap, and a Vanilla Caramel Latte. All were fantastic and best latte ever!!!!
The Chai tea is so good. Great atmosphere. The only issue is that it is small, so seating can be problematic during popular times.
Good service, nice environment average pricing. Pretty nice coffee for the blended lighter roast house pour.
Amazing staff and breakfast menu. Definitely a place to visit if you want to sit back and relax.
It is my favorite coffee shop in Charlottesville! The staff always greets me with a smile and the atmosphere is very relaxing. Its the perfect place to get a coffee and work. The wifi is really fast too. Such a pretty place.
Havent been in yet but I am going to give it a try next week when I get my beard trimmed next door to them I
The best little coffee shop around. They are always helpful and respectful.
The iced coffee was sub par and the croissants cinnamon bun was bland.
Really good food, but a bit pricey. When it gets crowded, seats start to get hard to find so usually, Id recommend getting your food to go. Very nice coffee shop, though! I like it.
Great service and coffee. I wish they had a better grinder... 😑
Great coffee and snacks. Good service, friendly atmosphere.
Some of the best coffee in town. My husband and I have been to multiple in the area.
Love this place very friendly staff quick work and a nice coffee shop vibe however I wish there were less changes it feels like a modern Coffee shop rather then the original Green berrys I love the daybreak burrito and recommend it to everyone
Great coffee and sevice
I visited right before closing and got best coffee like 1st customer. The owner (or supervisor) is very friendly and kind.
If youre looking for the coffee shop, its in barracks. This is its warehouse. 10/10 the walling tastes delicious.
Cool and cozy little local spot with wonderful selection.
Nitro cold brew was really bad.
Good coffee and delicious café food options (breakfast and lunch sandwiches, baked goods). PLENTY of drink options, including the usuals plus nitro cold brew and smoothies. Cozy cheery atmosphere with a bunch of small tables perfect for individual studying, but they fill up quickly. Probably not the best place for groups >2people.
Best tea selection of any local coffeeshop, and they have a couple of iced tea options during the summer.
Greenberrys at Martha Jefferson Hospital has very poor customer service, especially from new manager. They just don’t care. Really miss Oscar
Love, Love the coffee here. I drive 2 hrs one way to get it.
Slowest food ever. Over a half hour for a simple sandwich.
Friendly service, good coffee, nice atmosphere
