Good luck getting service if your female. I was barely greeted by a store worker whom never left the counter. When I had a question, I had to shot it across the aisle. Still poor customer service challenged individual never left the counter and showed no interest in seeing if he could really assist me. The gentleman the enter the store right behind me however was was greeted properly and the other sales associate politely walked around with him providing the true customer service experience. Finally I got the hint and left. Apparently they did not want my $. Sad

I just purchased an LG dishwasher from another big box store but needed the install kit. Of course the big box store did not have those additional bits of gear you need to install so they actually recommended East Coast appliance superstore . Luckily there was one close by. I had already wasted my lunch hour at the place I Purchased the dishwasher.When I got to East Coast I was greeted by Addison who is able to help me out and set me up with a kit they carry for all dishwasher installs. It took about five minutes versus an hour. I really appreciate his help and he made me feel welcome while he solved my problem.Great job East Coast!Andy

When I entered the store I was greeted by Chris Gilbert asking what he could help me with. I was interested in purchasing a new refrigerator, stove and dishwasher. (I had shopped a little elsewhere, but the sales people seemed to be more interested in something else, rather than accommodating me and my questions.)Chris was very knowledgeable about each of the appliances. He was patient with me, answering every question that I had, and I had many!Chris is very personable and professional and he made this shopping experience easy and enjoyable! (I bought all 3 appliances there.)

Very good deal, but make sure to have the tip protector installed, they dont do it without charging extra. I believe that if they remove the old one they should install the new one. Also sicker on stove states install tip protector before removing sticker. Very helpful, but fridge didnt came as one in show room and we did ask when in show room is this what we are getting? And told yes. Still awaiting one shelf is what they stared we can get. So not like one in show room. So kind of disappointed.

I don’t think I will ever buy another appliance from East Coast, I’ve had nothing but problems! Don’t have the space and the time to explain everything but one example is today when I tried to get in touch with someone to have my delivery rescheduled. I called a little after 9 AM and spoke with Rich and he was going to have someone call me back shortly. Didn’t hear anything so I called back around 6 PM and spoke with Drew, he said they were very busy and he would call me back before they closed at 9 PM. Still didn’t hear anything so I called back at 8:55 but no one would answer the phone. Customer service is not good!!

Not pleased with this store. I ordered a dishwasher on May 4 after being told the model I wanted would be delivered in 2.5 weeks. At 2.5 weeks I was told it would be in the first week in June. Now its the first week in June and Im being told the middle of July. Obviously I cant trust them. Getting refund and taking my money elsewhere.*Edit: At no time did anyone ever offer us a different model. Not to mention that at no time was I notified of any delay. I had to initiate all calls to find out the status. Thank you for your well wishes. I have found the model I am searching for at a different location.

I came here today after a disappointing visit to Lowe’s down the road, where no one helped me. I needed a new washer and dryer…and needed it now. Had a refrigerator installed about two years ago. I am not a very handy person, but when entering east coast appliance I was treated by a sales person, but felt more like my personal employee. I had lots of questions and wanted recommendations. All my questions were answered and two years later the fridge still runs and looks great. The prices were slightly better than other appliance stores in the area. East coast also installed the refrigerator without damaging or scratching and of the walls, doors, or hardwood floors, which is impressive because the fridge is extremely large. The installer even helped me with the water valve that connects to the water machine and ice maker. Very happy with the quality of product and service I received.

I had a Technician (Tony) from East Coast to come out and install a dishwasher we purchased. I appreciated Tony’s thoroughness and professionalism. He called ahead and gave us a time when he would be arriving. Upon arrival, he greeted us, asked questions, and inspected the area where he would be installing the dishwasher. While inspecting the area he noticed our kitchen sink was beginning to rust out from under the bottom and while he was under the sink he asked me for my phone so he could take a picture of it so we could have someone look at it. The area where the dishwasher was installed did not have the linoleum ran all the way to the back. Because of this there were some challenges in getting it level but Tony worked with it until he got it just right. Upon completion of the installation he tested it to make sure it was working properly and that there were no leaks. He then asked us if we had any questions for him before leaving. About a few weeks ago he came out to install a hood range for us and that same courteous, thoroughness and professionalism came shining through. Definitely would have him come out again!

I went to this location as I have bought from here before and had a great experience in 2018. I was Greeted by a salesperson Todd Wood, I told him what I was looking for, he took me directly to exactly what I was looking for and in ten minutes we were closing the deal. I mentioned my bad experience at the Military HWY location and 2 salespersons knew who the employee was before I said his name, I guess this guy at Military HWY location (Brandon) has a reputation of mishandling customers a lot. I want to commend Todd for his sales skills and closing abilities and Id like to thank East Coast Appliance for their products and availability. I came back later the same day and loaded it up and my machine was running with in 2 hours of my purchase, THANK YOU Todd WOOD, I recommend this person to anyone who needs a straight shooter who knows the products.

Prices werent better than I could find anywhere else but that is not the reason for the 1 star review. We bought a brand new GE flat black refrigerator but they couldnt deliver until after I was already out of town, leaving the delivery when just wife and kids were home alone, no big deal. We paid the delivery fee and told them I wanted to pay the other fee to move the existing fridge 10 ft away into the garage which all they charged me was the $69 delivery fee. They delivered the fridge & moved our existing fridge into the garage. Wife was busy with the kids. She checked the new fridge and even tipped the guys, they didnt bother to say anything. Our existing fridge, which is still almost new, the guys deneted it in multiple places decreasing the value and not saying a word to my wife. Essentially taking advantage of a woman home alone with kids and leaving a damaged fridge decreasing its value of resale. Super SHADY! I called & spoke to a gentleman named Tom, was describing what happened & his response was that is not something we really handle or are responsible for. So basically we are just screwed with a dented fridge that was perfectly fine before their arrival. So took a tip and didnt bother to let my wife know they screwed up, THEFT, & then blew us off when we tried to let you know YOUR COMPANY dented our fridge! DO NOT BUSINESS WITH THESE SHADY PEOPLE!!!!!!!! CANT BELIEVE THEY TOOK ADVANTAGE OF A WOMAN HOME ALONE WITH CHILDREN!!!!!!! ABSOLUTE DESPICABLE OPERATION!!!!!!!Response:That is a ludacris statement because all LEGITIMATE companies that move things have insurance. If that is the case YOUR COMPANY should not touch other peoples old appliances, which you can see by the BEFORE PICTURES mine was pretty new! You took advantage of a woman home alone & were extremely reckless with someone elses property which your company offered to move and is a service YOU offer! If you arent going to cover the damage you cause then you should not touch something. I only hope people see those comment so they can choose not to do business with your shady company. I will make sure and pass on the depicable experience to everyone I find out is looking for an appliance.

If I could leave a 0 rating I would. When I spend close to $8,000 on brand new appliances and the gas range does not work and no one is willing to get the issue fixed and I have to wait til next week. Thats ridiculous and unacceptable. All I kept getting was excuses and apologies. I dont want that I want it fixed. So now the dinner I was to cook with have to be thrown away. Love throwing money in the trash!! And when I am talking with one associate and another tries to butt in. Just DONT!!! I will NEVER buy another appliance from this company.

It is May of 2021 and I am still waiting for our door shelfs that were promised to us in August of 2020(when our refrigerator was purchased). I have call every number available to me to ask why and when and yeat still have not gotten a phone call or an apology from no one at this company. I have spent thousands of my dollars with this company in the past. I will NOT spend another one of my hard earned dollars here again unless someone apologizes and gets me the door shelfs that were promised to me from numerous employees.

I experienced great customer service at this Chesapeake location on Battlefield Boulevard. A week ago I went to the Military highway location in Norfolk and the customer service wasnt that great. I purchased the same item I would have a week earlier because as a customer I was greeted properly and assisted whereas I didnt receive that at the other location. I just had the most wonderful experience working with Tom Parkhurst at East Coast Appliance. I had been struggling for a couple of months with a big box chain and had my cooktop backordered, with extreme difficulty in getting information. I had already put off having my countertop template made due to the delays, so I called East Coast Appliance and they had exactly what I needed in the warehouse! After talking to Tom about the features of the different brands, it turned out that the brand I had originally ordered was not going to be the best fit for me. It was just a blessing that I was able to talk to someone knowledgeable about appliances and get the information I needed, rather than just ordering from looking at pictures online. This is my new appliance store. I highly recommend them.

Sadly, not up to previous standards. Ordered portable dishwasher on a Saturday. Told it would be in on Friday. Called Friday to pick up and the warehouse had dropped off other items and not orders. Was given the option to go to the warehouse myself. If I was going to do that, I would have done it the day I ordered and paid for it. Other option, wait until Monday. Not happy.Husband called, our sales person was busy. The manager was out to lunch. No return call. I went down with my receipt. A different sales person asked if I needed help. I said need to cancel this order. He said manager, who was telling another customer to go to the warehouse, could take care of it. Manager quickly did the refund. No questions asked, no sorry bout your luck, no oh I was just going to call you back. Nothing.I am a huge supporter of local businesses. By coincidence, 3 friends needed new appliances the following week. Referred them elsewhere. Ordered mine from a big box store, waiting for delivery. Not happy.

We got a fridge delivered (to the Andersen’s) and got amazing service by the two men who delivered it. They were extremely fast and experienced and kind. We forgot to get their names but they were out with the old fridge and in with the new (up stairs!) in a matter of minutes. We are extremely pleased with the service we got and would recommend those men to everyone!

We bought our stove/oven here last year and a dishwasher last month. Great customer service, delivery, and installation!

I went here for a clothes dryer with one of my clients, because she had bought a dryer from lowes but they kept changing her install & delivery date. So I went with her to East Coast Appliance to help her make a purchase for a new dryer, it only took about 20 minutes and she is now very pleased with her purchase,. They are installing it Thursday morning and taking the old one away, I made her a believer to purchase all of her appliances from a appliance store, it was definitely stress free. Now she has to call Lowes to cancel her order and get a refund. I say another HAPPY CUSTOMER.

This company sells broken, scratch/dent models for the same price as Home Depot. Then if the appliance is broken or damaged within hours of getting it home they do not follow up with repair or assistance. We purchased a microwave on 9/28/20 that was not functioning properly after being installed and was completely broken after 1 use. We have been unable to get service or parts to repair the microwave and there is no customer service for assistance. I would recommend shopping at any other appliance store so you do not have to go through the same headache we have been dealing with for a month now!

Stopped by today, thought I’d give them a chance and see if they were competitive with big box stores vis a vis price. Sometime you can get better deals at smaller companies. Wow, their prices are far in excess of what you can buy at Lowe’s, Home Depot, or even Best Buy. Not only that but you get a good company with a good reputation if you buy there instead of here.It seems like this stores target market are lower income people that are desperate and looking to buy far overpriced items on easy to acquire high cost credit.This is flop, I wouldn’t waste my time if I were you. You’ve been warned.***Edit... the stores response below is laughable. I was shopping for a dishwasher, not a refrigerator. And I never spoke to any of the shady used car salesman looking salesman. Every dishwasher was marked at least $600. Which is a joke. As an update, I drove a mile down the road to Lowe’s and got a premium brand dishwasher for $400. Again, this place is a joke. I’m a real estate investor and I have buy dozens of appliances a year. I know a rip off when I see it guy.

Great up front. No service after purchase. We bought a new washer that was broken. It took 2 days to get it replaced. Second one was also broken. Then I get the run around. For days I keep getting told that somebody will call back. I call several times a day with the same response and still nobody has called. Today i was told that the manager was out doing inventory (guess nobody else can count?) And thats why nothing is happening with it. I would post video if I could. Washer sounds like an impact wrench. I leave thousands of reviews, good and bad. Trust me, dont shop here. If they sell you something that works fine but if what they sell you doesnt work then good luck.

I had a refrigerator delivered yesterday from East Coast and I have to say it was a 5 star experience. From ordering on line with a helpful associate that walked me through my selection, to an established delivery date that was upheld to the exact date and finally the three delivery fellows that showed such knowledge, patience and experience while removing my old fridge and installing the new one! Well done! You will be my number one go too for additional purchases!!
