The salesman was very nice and responded quickly. When the installers installed 2 new garage doors, openers, etc., the cables tangled on one door within 24 hours when opening. It became stuck, we couldnt close the door, and it was 15 minutes after business hours on a Friday. No one responded to our immediate emails or phone messages. We didnt want to go the entire weekend with the garage door open, so we had to unscrew the coil assemblies on both sides to shut the door for the weekend (unlocked). Even with the emergency release, the door couldnt close. The installers had also left approx.10 screws and bolts inside of our garage and I had to ask them to clean them up so car tires would not be damaged. Later we discovered metal cables and large garage door parts in the grass. They did not program the garage door openers to open both sides, but were in a hurry to leave.Virginia Door sent someone to fix everything on Monday, but the home office never called and apologized for the installers incompetence. We have working doors now, but are disappointed in the whole experience.

Our garage door ran rough and loud from the day we bought our home. It also wouldnt come completely down, allowing light, bugs, and critters in. Three of the rollers broke one day causing the door to get stuck in a half open position. I disengaged the motor drive bracket and rolled the door down. I called Allen with Virginia Door on a Thursday. I described the issue to him. He said they were booked solid with service calls until 10Dec2020, but he would see what he could do. He called back later that day and said he could make it the very next day (Friday). He is actually a sales representative, but has enough skill to also address service/repair calls. He came out within the 2hr window given and replaced all 10 rollers with premium nylon rollers. He also lubricated the panel hinges, cleaned the tracks, and adjusted the travel. The door runs smooth and quiet while coming completely to the ground. He explained the necessary routine maintenance process to prevent the issue in the future. Service call fee was $115, total invoice for repair with parts, labor, and fee was only $173. He noticed the springs were in a state of high stress and were snaking, so he liberally lubricated them. He said it may need to be replaced at a later date, so he gave me the make, model, and serial number so I could get quotes. This was refreshing as he gave me the ability to seek quotes from many different companies. Ill most likely go with them when the time comes because he also provided a quote for that repair $283 installed. Virginia Door is a great company.

Our new home came with doors supplied and installed by Virginia Door. The doors needed some very minor adjustments as we neared our 1 year warranty, and after a call to my builder, an appointment was made. The service manager showed up right on time (I called the morning of the appt. and was given a 2 hour window) and took great care of us. He answered all of my questions and made sure that all 3 of our doors were smooth, quiet and easy to operate. Great customer service!!

I had a garage door replaced on 10/23/2016. The sales person JP came out on 10-4-16 and took measurements and gave me a quote. He was very professional and took time to explain what would be included in the install. The installer was on time of scheduled install. He was very professional and had the door installed in no time. He made sure it operated correctly before leaving. Cost was exactly what was quoted. Overall I am very pleased with purchase.

I called and told them we had sprung a spring. They helped me get them the info for a replacement and charged a reasonable price to replace it. Although they didnt make it out for the first appointment they were timely with scheduling a new appointment and David was courteous, efficient and did a great job getting the door fixed. I was grateful for his kind demeanor and would hire them again.

Got a garage door opener installed from Virginia Door; they were absolutely great! Customer service - technician, office, emails - were extremely professional. Price was very reasonable and even on the lower end than the norm. Got a courtesy call before the tech came out to instal the opener and he was quick, friendly and professional. I absolutely recommend them!

Our garage door spring broke. We called another company (Not Virginia Door) and they quoted us $1280 to fix, the other companys salesperson also asked us to give them items we had stored in our garage. We had a bad feeling about this company so we called Virginia Door for a second opinion. Virginia Door asked us to send them pictures of the door, we did, they quoted is $245-$300 to repair. We agreed, they came by and repaired the door in 30 minutes. The cost was $275. Great experience. Wed recommend Virginia Door to anyone considering repairs.

I dont know about the reviews on this company on yelp or yellow pages. Everything is quoted and explained to you first before you even agree to their service. I just had an awesome experience with them! As I have moved to this older house, I had difficulty finding a company who could service the exact garage doors that are already on the house. At this time, I couldnt afford the whole garage door to be replaced, not to mention I have 2 of them. Anyway, the ones already installed on my house though old still looked great, except for the damage on the bottom panel that I had done (thats another story). I had called other garage door companies, one of them even immediately sold me whole door replacements. I called Virginia Door, and they had an associate Alan come over to look at the damage. He then quoted me for a bottom panel replacement part and labor. Very honest assessment that I agreed to the price. He called again to confirm and schedule an appointment. Come service day, they called that it is within an hour to 30 mins that the technician would arrive. Jimmy the technician also called me within 15 mins of his arrival. Service work wasnt even an hour and he was done. I am so happy with the over-all result! Also even if it was only a panel that needed replacement, the technician made sure that all other parts were corrected to make the whole door operate smoothly. Just imagine the difference in cost had I listened to the other company that said I needed to change the whole thing. Thanks again, Virginia Door! You will definitely be the one I would call again for the servicing of my garage doors or replacement someday.

The sales rep was great. He quoted me a proce and even told me the door looked great. The installer showd up and he tried to upsell me a new spring and railes raising the price be nearly $300 The existing spring can be adjusted to correct the issue and the rails can be adjusted so they dont need to be replaced. I tried to get in touch with my sales rep. I told left him a message him to call after 1:30PM as I am a teach. Each time he called in the morning. When I went to call him back he was never in the office, and they don’t make any attempt to communicate with him out in the field. This was not a pleasant experience. Needless to say I sent the installer home, without doing any work.

Our builder used this company for garage door installation. One of the remotes and the keypad stopped working and we called this company for repair under warranty. Repairman walked in with the assumption that the customer is a moron and does not know how to program. On realizing that it was not an easy fix, repairman concluded that the issue was with the circuit board that got fried in a power surge/lightning strike. All this without looking at the garage door opener! Could not explain why the keypad was not working for both garage doors. Spoke to supervisor Henry who said lightning strikes absolutely not covered. How does the company know this issue is because of a lightning strike without doing an assessment. Filed a better business bureau complaint for dishonest business practices, and they did not care. Contacted liftmaster directly, who immediately sent a replacement circuit board. Avoid this company if you value your time and money.

Virginia Door responded to my request for a replacement Torquemaster pipe which contains the springs used to raise a garage door with ease. Virginia Door personnel were meticulous and exacting, taking great care to plan the work. It was important to match the proper Torquemaster pipe to my door which was about 19 years old. They made the proper selection, and sent an installer who was prompt, efficient, knowledgeable, and a very good person who shared pleasant conversation as well as useful answers to my questions. If you need help with a garage door opener or supporting equipment, call Virginia Door first. Their competence and service is first rate and their prices are reasonable. Best Regards - Tony Grayson

I am not sure about the last reviewer... I had Virginia Door out 2 years ago to my new home in North Suffolk. Danny and the install team were easy to deal with and offered me a couple of different price points to choose from. It was installed quickly and the price was very fair. I appreciated the follow up call they gave me the next day to make sure that it was all ok. This may sound a little canned, but I am a customer and I would definately recommend their business. I ran acrossed the previous review and I felt I had to share.

They had to show up three times to fix the initial problem and charged an unreasonable amount for labor every time. The third time the maintenance man showed up was minutes after he left from the second time because the work he did failed and he blamed it on my wife. She pressed the button to close the garage door...

We had Liftmaster (dont make them anymore) installed by them in 2017. Started having issues 2021. They came to troubleshoot and used our ladder without asking. Replaced opener with Genie (2021) and different technician used ladder again without asking and he asked for our pin number for exterior keypad instead of letting us key number into keypad ourselves.
