I reserved a 10x 15 climate control Aug.12 2020 and truck for morning of the 13Th. When I arrived she told me there was none available and tried to give me a smaller unit. Completely irritated because now my day is messed up! Would not recommend. Price was also hundred more then other locations.

She has the answers to your storage questions and gives great suggestions to make your stay effective and enjoyable. We just rented a unit today. The units look well-kept and easy to access. Claire went above and beyond making sure we were getting the best rates possible, answering all of our forward questions with ease and explaining the contract to us. The deal was unbelievable. We stopped in very last-minute and she was courteous and obliging despite it being almost closing time. We can’t wait to borrow their free truck and move in tomorrow!

Both ladies are very nice and very helpful. They refund you the unused days of the month if you moved out early. They let you use their truck once, which was a huge help for us since we moved a few times on different days. I highly recommend them.

Claire Hayes is a wonderfully generous person who has given a great deal of her time to provide hundreds of beautiful teddy bears to the poor and homeless children we serve at The Union Mission for the past three years. In addition she was instrumental in helping secure a $1,000 grant for Subway gift cards from the Chesapeake Rotary Club for the almost 400 homeless men, women and children in our shelters. A truly beautiful lady we are privileged to work with.

I had found myself in need of a temporary storage solution due to an upcoming household move. I had to store a pop-up trailer and some other goods in a secured and covered location at the right price. I did not want to pay for extra space I didn’t need nor did I want to pay for extra time I didn’t want. I had visited Morningstar Storage and was very pleased to find that this facility had a wide variety of storage solutions – with one that was just right for me. The manager (Claire) and her staff were very patient and helpful in explaining to me what options were available. The price for this storage facility was very competitive and the location proved to be very secure. I was also offered a free moving truck to help me move my goods from home to the storage location – a great benefit! Claire and her staff worked with me to acquire the storing solution I needed. I was helping a friend move recently and the staff here was genuine and helpful. We didnt really need anything but it was refreshing that someone was willing to say hi and offer us a bottle of water. Claire Hays took the time to just see how we were doing and showed some of the things she did to spruce up the property and asked our input. The staff at Morningstar Storage are exceptional! They are always professional and the friendly whenever I stop by and they are willing to help you in any way they can. I remember when I was working in my unit on a blistering hot day this past summer and Astria stopped by and offered me a cold bottled water! She was making sure the tenants were staying hydrated in the heat. Claire is the Property Manager and she found a way to help me avoid extra costs by getting me a free moving truck rental when I had to downsize the unit I had while I still had to move. She didnt know it, but this was huge for me and my family with 2 daughters in college! Morningstar is the best!

I would not choose to go to any other storage place! We rented a storage unit from Claire at Morningstar a little over a year ago, and she was more than accommodating and was always super helpful. We recently were supposed to be moving into a house that fell through, so we had a uhaul full of stuff and nowhere to go. We called Morningstar, and they were able to get us a large storage unit right away. When we arrived, Claire remembered us, and we felt right at storage home! We will be moving to Virginia Beach, so this is out of the way, but we would not choose any other place ever again.

The staff is very polite, helpful, and a pleasure to deal with. The facility is clean and well taken care of. We are very happy we chose Morningstar for our storage needs.

We chose to store furniture from our consignment store at Morning Star’s (MS) 1136 Kempsville Rd, Chesapeake location. Claire Hays is the manager of this location and she is professional, accommodating and anticipates and recommends the best storage capacity for our needs. We use storage facilities often for our business, and Claire is the best manager we’ve dealt with. Her facility is spotless and has a wonderful facility person who keeps the MS truck (which they loan to customers) spotless and also the grounds. MS prorated the first month and also gave us a free month when we signed up. That’s a great deal. We had all our vehicles and trailers stuffed full of furniture, so we borrowed MS’s truck for an afternoon, a real lifesaver. I recommend MS and give it a five star rating.

We have used this facility since 2003 for our business. Even prior to it becoming morningstar storage when it was greenbriar storage. We never had any issues when it was greenbriar self storage. Since transitioning into morningstar we have had issues time and time again where we could not access the fasicily. Because of this we have lost business over and over again because we cannot access our unit that houses our business materials. They are not available when access to the facility is blocked. We dont have any emergency contact to help when there is a problem accessing the facility. In the last 3 days we have been locked out twice and could not gain access to our unit. If you are a business owner and rely on flexible access to your materials I highly recommend you find a different place to store your materials. They are unavailable and unhelpful. They dont care if it costs you business. They only care about their monthly fee . I would never recommend this facility to anyone after losing money on a number of occasions due to lack of access to a 24hr facility.

We were in need of temporary storage, wanted a place near our home for convenience. MorningStar fit the requirements, what we didnt expect was the extremely kind, thoughtful staff, who all go a step above and beyond to assist, and help out, their friendly smiles always brighten my day. We were concerned with the old bushes along side of the office building, however; Claire and her associates removed them and now have a beauty of a flower garden there making pulling out much easier. During Memorial Day weekend they displayed garden flags for all the branches of the Military it was a lovely sight and so very thoughtful!When we initially rented our unit, Claire provided the truck for 4 hours free to help us in moving things over. A nice little savings for us as we were expecting to rent a truck. My Mother, Ada Roy, was provided a free lock and when we cancelled last month we donated the lock back as Claire keeps them on hand for Military or others in need of one. Another nice gesture on her part. I apologize for not remembering everyones name, but must say Morningstar has a great staff at this location. The whole complex is kept clean, and neat, the property out in front of the building is inviting, and the marquee is up to date with thoughtful words of encouragement. Thank you Claire, and Staff for making our time spent with Morningstar enjoyable and we are more than happy to give you the Highest of Recommendations.

I was looking for a place where I could temporarily store my household goods, motorcycle, classic car and trailer. I needed something close and convenient. After shopping around it came down to two facilities in the Kempsville area. AAAA and Morningstar.AAAA storage was my first choice. They were able to accommodate and a were a bit cheaper than the other companies. I stopped in to see what they had to offer. Needless to say, customer service sucked!I stopped my second choice, Morningstar and spoke with Claire. She sat me down, offered me a bottle of water and gave me a tour. Claire and team are awesome! Great attitude and awesome customer service. Location is perfect! Clean facility and well maintained. Safe for your classic car, motorcycle, trailer and household items. They offer climate controlled units as well. Highly Recommend!
