I have a Subaru Forester that I purchased new in 1997. I have many memories connected to this car in raising my family, and intend to keep it running a long time.Being 24 years young, the Forester recently needed major engine repairs. Roman Auto was the place I chose for the work. They’re located near my home and I knew from the local community that Roman Auto was the most experienced Subaru shop in the City.The staff at Roman Auto were very professional and friendly. Marvin scheduled the service and the father and son team of Rudy, and Roman tackled the issues that arose, and made sure the car was in perfect working order before releasing it back to me.There’s a reason why Roman Auto has great reviews. My experience with their impeccable service supports the claims…and their name isn’t bad either.

I love Subarus and I love performance. Was going to far shops trying to get the best work and maintenance for my car. Found these guys one day and decided to give them a try. They are way closer to me then the previous places i was going and let me tell you. I wish I wouldve made the switch sooner. These guys will literally take the car in as their own car. They do great work. I have done countless jobs with them already. I rarely leave reviews, but this one is worth leaving. You wont be disappointed.

Cant thank my friend enough for the referral. Ive had two cars serviced in the last year for a lot of repairs and routine maintenance. I wouldnt trust anyone in the Chicago area more. They explain whats going on, take pictures, videos and great records. Its hard to find this kind of trustworthy mechanic. Rudy is knowledgeable and Marvin has great customer service. I regret moving from Chicago knowing itll be hard to find another shop like theirs. And for female Subaru owners, this is a place I feel heard and respected. 10/10 would/do recommend.

These guys were great. They got me a new OEM bumper for my 2013 Impreza WRX and paint-match with my car. They were able to make a cheap amazon lip look great on my car. These guys work fast, are extremely professional, and friendly. I heard about Roman Auto from Facebook groups, and after seeing the kind of work they do, Im sure that I will be coming back to them for any maintenance or after market work in the future.

Brought my car in for an inspection, oil change, and to get my mounts looked at. These guys are top notch. Found the problem and were able to fix it. Its hard to find a great shop to do work in the Chicago area. I brought my 2019 GTI in for some cosmetic work and was not disappointed. Roman’s auto is one of, if not the best place for work on Subarus in the city. All of them are professional, friendly and knowledgeable. Marvin at the front desk have years of experience working on these cars, and can provide many useful information for you. Daniel, also an enthusiast, is the bright mind of the shop, always having a positive and friendly altitude and is very helpful as well. Roman and Rudy, the father and son combo, are both professional when working on the cars, always double checking everything is rightly installed and secured, and will let you know if anything is out of place, even if it’s not in the work order. Placido does an amazing job at bodywork as well, always checking and making sure the body lines up and looks good. Roman’s auto is also fair on their price, always upfront and clear on the estimate and the pricing. They’re also very efficient and will bring your car back as soon as possible with quality work. The pricing is very fair and they wont make any repairs that you dont actually need. I cant stress enough how invaluable it is to have found a mechanic that I can trust 100%. Horrible customer service. This morning my car didn’t turn on so I had it towed to a nearby mechanic. Mechanic was very honest. Told me the issue was the starter; when he took it apart to test it he said the starter had previously been replaced by Roman Auto Body. He even found the receipt in the glove compartment and said I should give them a call since I had purchased life time warranty. I called Roman Auto Body; explained the situation. First, they said they didn’t show me in their system since they moved to an electronic system. I explain I had the receipt, then they said to have the car towed to them, they would check it out, replace the part and charge for labor. (No issue with paying labor.) However, I now live in Arlington Heights and explained I didn’t want to pay for a tow truck TWICE, especially having to go to Chicago plus labor. Since the part was still under warranty, I asked if I could just pick up the part. They said No, we need the truck and the paper receipt. Very disappointing experience especially since they pride themselves on customer service.

Cant praise them enough! Rudy helped me when my car didnt pass the emissions test. He was very thorough in diagnosing and fixing the issues that were causing the codes to come up. He was very diligent at figuring it out and honest. I say he is honest because he explains everything and shows you parts replaced and how they should work. I appreciate that. He is very honest and trustworthy. He only does what is necessary and the prices are excellent. He absolutely is fair with labor charge/time spent and doesnt take advantage. I have taken my car there a few times now-also for maintenance (oil change) which was super cheap for a synthetic oil change and for some other front end repair. Will definitely continue to use them and have to get some minor body work done soon. They have my business and I have told everyone I know. Now if only my friend would listen to me and not take her car to the dealer every time the check engine light comes on. You can only imagine the total from the dealer! That wouldnt happen at Roman Auto Body.

Both Rudy and his father are very honest and fair, and treat everyone like family. Everyone i sent to them to have their cars repaired were always pleased/satisfied as i was. I took my wrx sti for a rebuild engine and I have to said after 3 months running my car, they did a wonderful job. They really know what are they doing. They have lots of knowledge on Subarus and general mechanic.

Awesome place, I can honestly said; now thats a great auto shop without laughing like allot of other places are. Their price was the best out of some of the top companies in the industry. The job was done (now quote this, My time, he told me when I could bring it and had the job done within 3 hours on the weekend. Román auto is a nice and friendly place. They make sure your happy with results. Had a grate experience and can’t complain when ever I need my car looked at and worked on this will be the place I come to.

Theyre supposed to be open saturdays untill 7 pm,as stated on their door.But I was there at 4.35 pm and doors are closed(I rang the bell few times) and nobody answers on the phone.

These guys are great. They always let you know about different parts that you could choose and they put no pressure on you to bring your car into their shop. From my experience, their prices are fair and theyve always been genuine.

Purchased WRX leather seats for my 04 Forester XT. They were in excellent condition and the description was 100% accurate. He tested all functions and had me sit in the chairs to ensure the heating elements were functioning properly. He also assisted in helping me put the new seats in my car when I was having some difficulty. I am extremely pleased with the transaction and recommend this shop.

Needed some body work on my Acura TL, great service, very friendly and knowledgeable. The price was super fair but most of all the the work done on my car was great!! You would never have known I got work done to the car.

These guys are the best, they did the clutch and pressure plate on my AudiA4, and while they were at it, showed me a few little issues that I should probably fix, and suggested a tune up. The car has never run better, all of idiot lights on the dash are out, AND the AC is ICE cold. This is my new go to place for all of my familys cars! Finally a mechanic in Chicago you can trust! Ive been ripped off before, so you can imagine my surprise when I called last minute to see about getting the O2 sensor in my van changed when it died on my way to play a show in Detroit. I tried swapping it out myself in the AutoZone parking lot but wasnt having any luck, so Rudy told me to come on down and theyd get it changed for me at only the cost of labor. Very friendly guys, fit me right in, charged me what was quoted for labor though it took a bit longer than expected. Will definitely go back for any auto work I cant do myself.
