I asked for a manager regarding a refund and out of 4 staff members the manager is the only one helping a patient chose a pair of glasses. DO NOT get polarized lenses if you are planning on driving since you wont be able to see properly and might have an accident and they dont tell you this in advance. The effect of the polarized glasses through the windshield creates a round rainbow effect when driving that is distracting and can surely cause an accident. This is a well know issue in the industry but they didnt know and refuse to give me a refund!

I brought my son to this location because he was having loss of vision in one of his eyes. I trusted Optical Outlets to diagnose and advise what we should do. What we were told was we needed to go see someone else. That was all nothing else was said. Come to find out my son had a detached retina and it was a medical emergency. The doctor at this location should have told us so. He did not. Only gave us a referral and sent us on our way. Honestly I would never bring any of my children back to any of their locations. Still cannot find out why this doctor did not tell us that my son had a detached retina. Ive tried to find out. And unfortunately I cant even get the district manager to explain it. Said that the doctor only wants to speak to us regarding it. Which honestly I dont want to ever speak to this doctor again. So if you are considering taking yourself or your children to Optical Outlet thank again choose somewhere else. Optical Outlet does not have your best interest at heart. And they have proven that they still dont with the lack of answers that Theyre willing to give. I only brought my children to Optical Outlets because thats where we went years ago we moved out of the area and when we came back it was just a familiarity decision. I wish I would have looked more and found a different eye doctor to take my children too. Unfortunately our family and my son is having to pay the price. Procedures and surgical buckle surgery followed.:(

Paid $140 for a pair of polarized prescription sunglasses. one side was dark and the other side light to look through. the staff agreed it was bizarre, but the manager said it was normal and would not replace them. This after referring another paying customer. There wont be another one!

Very disappointed in this store for several reasons. First expect at least an hour for your visit which 99% of that time is waiting. They appear understaffed and even my follow up visit was an hour. They get you in the store with these wonderful specials but once you get in and they go over it with you those only apply to maybe one percent of the population. Once I realized I wasn’t eligible for any of the specials I should’ve just left but I didn’t unfortunately. when I got the email that my contacts are ready for pick up I went in to get them and was told the doctor needed to check me with these contacts and I needed to make an appointment that information was given to me after a 30 minute wait. And then to top it off after my follow up I got home with my prescription called it into the contacts online store(didn’t wanna wait any longer for them to order them)and shortly after that the store called and said they had given me the wrong prescription! Stay away from this store!!

Had a bad experience with the tech,Tracy, at the Largo store . So I decided to try another store.I was given this location by my Isurance company. It was a totally different experience!!!! The location on State Rd 580.Janaire E was awesome!!! She provided great service helping me choose the right frame. I was in and out about an hour. I will definitely go there again!!!! Telling me to ask her any questions if I had any really reassured me that she cared how I felt to helping me pick out a frame making sure I loved them . My husband is in a wheel chair and had a eye doctor appointment. We wait a hour in the new waiting room. Nobody told me that the doctor would not be able to see him because he was unable to tranfer to the chair ine doctor office. I would not recommended this office if you are in wheel chair.

This place has THE WORST Optometrist (Dr.. DAlesio) and Jenny the receptionist are rude. I went to wrong eye store in the mall and called them to tell them I was at the wrong store and I would be right there, that was at 5:32pm (my appointment 5:30pm). Jenny said the doctor left and we will have to reschedule. I said I went to the wrong store, I will be there in 2 mins, I am in the mall. I asked why didnt you call me to see where I was she said we dont do that here. I walked into the store anyways to talk to someone else and the other receptionist said he is leaves all the time and it makes us look bad, we are thinking of calling are district manager. I will never do business with optical outlets, what kind of company keeps an inconsiderate doctor on staff!

Visiting optical outlets was the best experience I’ve had when it comes to eye exams. The doctor was a really fun guy. We talked and joked about sports. The staff were really nice and helpful. The lady Janaire helped me pick out my frames and I highly recommend this location if you need your eyes checked

This place has THE WORST Optometrist (Dr.. DAlesio) and staff. I visited this place to have a yearly check up done and from the start the staff (2 ladies) were extremely rude. The doctor finished checking my eyes in 5 minutes (didnt dilate my eyes to check it properly if anything changed) because he had to leave for a party to attend. Every year I go to visionworks but I didnt get an appointment there for the end of the year 2020 and thats why I visited this horrible place. If google had negative stars, thats what I would give to this place and the Dr.NEVER EVER AGAIN. PLEASE FIND A BETTER PLACE FOR YPUR EYES BECAUSE THESE PEOPLE ARE ONLY INTERESTED IN YOUR MONEY.

Very stingy eye doctors, showed up 7 minutes late for an appointment which is on me but I called ahead of time to let them know we were running behind for my wife’s eye exam. They didn’t tell me there was a problem On the phone or we needed to reschedule. When I arrived they told me I had to reschedule since the doctor was going home, this isn’t on the establishment since the doctors are a 3rd party but I’m not going back to work with a doctor who has no flexibility for running 7 minutes behind, or at least tell me on the phone when I call?

I came into optical outlets at countryside mall and I have to say that I got the most amazing service today! Maria Benito was so patient with me I literally tried on 30 eyeglasses and she was so sweet to show me more. I have to add the office manager Nicholyn Lawrence was absolutely courteous and professional and helped with my search for the perfect eyeglasses! They both made me feel completely comfortable . The eye doctor visit was quick and painless.

My experience here is always amazing, positive and uplifting! The girls are always so helpful, and they switched out my hard a** nose pads that were digging into my nose... Such a nice experience at this convenient storefront! Made an appointment and didn’t have to wait at all. The eye exam was most thorough and I saw things that I had never seen before, even from my usual ophthalmologist! All questions were answered and no rush was felt, even if we were scheduled only 15 minutes apart. A busy office means that sometimes there were short waits at different stations, but none very long. Ordered my new glasses with no sales pitch for an upscale on the progressive package. I’ve never gotten glasses at such a reasonable price! Now I wait for delivery of the new glasses. I have no doubt that they will be exactly what I wanted! Thanks to all the staff.

Sales person that took care of my order was on the phone the entire time while writing up my glasses order. They never even notified me they were in, I called. My glasses were nothing like the glasses I ordered.So infuriated.

BEWARE!!! The clerks are rude and discriminate. Went to pick up glasses there and the clerks ignored us while working with other people. We patiently waited our turn. 10 minutes later someone else walked in. A clerk asked them if they had an appointment. They didnt. The clerk told them to sign in and someone would be with them shortly. Meanwhile we were just ignored. They couldnt have missed us as the whole space is tiny (about 20 x 20) Was it because I was in a wheelchair? Was it because we (my wife and I) were older? who knows! They can keep the glasses that we ordered. We will NEVER go back again. Their corporate office has been a joke as well. I have been unsuccessful in reaching the General Manager about the incident. Way too many choices with great pricing and service to waste you time / money at Optical Outlets.

The staff is AMAZING and always makes you feel welcome even if your insurance makes it to where you cant be seen. They give you all the information needed to get your insurance to fix the problem and they even contact you with an update!!! I will be back to this location!!!! Thank you to all the great staff!!

Came in just to look at frames for fun and I ended up being pleasantly surprised by all of the staff! Nicholyn was very knowledgable and was very helpful in looking for frames. All of the girls there were! Some people can be very impatient and pushy towards them, and they still handle every person with such respect. The Store that I went to was very busy, It didnt seem like the normal Eye care place I had ever been to. I called and made an appointment and they had one for after 1 PM.I arrived early due to not knowing where the place was located at inside the Mall. It took awhile for me to find it. But when I did, I was still early.I walked into the place where there were 6 Representatives sitting behind their desks, 3 on each side of the double doors. They were very busy as I have stated. There were a row of chairs up 4 steps of stairs, where each chair was taken, there was 2 benches one on each side of the double doors, each taken with customers. It was not that big of a place, they were packed with people with only 1 Eye Doctor.When I walked in and stood there waiting till it was my turn to talk with one of the reps, Then it was my turn. I did tell the girl that I was very early since I had no idea where they were I arrived early to find them. The girl said no problem. I looked around and thought I may have to just go out to the mall for awhile till my appointed time. But she said, no that wont be a problem, we will take you early. So I took her word for it.So i saw a seat up those stairs so I went for it. Sat there till the Woman eye doctor came out and pulled the next file She said my name so I said yes, though she started reading my file and noticed I was very early. She said, you will have to come back. I said, The Young woman down there said it would be OK for me to be seen earlier than my appointed time. The Doctor still insisted I leave and come back at the appointed time.OK, so here is where I got huffy. Yes I did. When that young woman said it would be OK,, I think she should have conferred with the Doctor before saying it would be OK for me to be there early. But that left a very Awkward taste in the doctors and my mouth. I threatened to leave and never come back. She agreed to take me. So now you have 2 Woman who have had unworthy words to each other and one is going to be testing your eyes. I can say that my new glasses are not any good. I still feel the same way as I did when walking into this place. the customer service is fair but could be better in situations like this.

My glasses and contacts were not in yet and the woman at the front named Krissy came in when she was sick to give me trial contacts to wear until my new ones came in. She knew I needed them for work and went out of her way on a day she was ill to come in to help me! They make you feel like you matter and I highly recommend this place!

Stay away from here! I went in November and got a phone call 5 days later stating your glasses are in just waiting on your contacts. I went in and they tried giving me a whole different frame and prescription. One week later my glasses are really finally in but not the contacts. I called Dec 18 and was told oh there was an issue so we sent them back to get remade. They said they would call within a week...no call. I called after the new year holiday and was told yeah they are here. I asked when? Oh, the 17th they came in and we could not get a hold of you. What number is on file since you have a main number, secondary number and email address, you did not call. This place is very non professional in addition to poor customer service. The last thing they said to me was you can come get them if you want. WOW!!!

I have used this place for years. I’ve never had an issue and have loved the staff and dr. But I am outraged!!! I just got a glasses exam and my eyes haven’t changed.I couldn’t afford the 99$ contact exam so I asked if I could have my prescription so I could order them online with the same people they order from. And I was refused. Told no because I need to have a separate exam.They refused to give me my personal information! I will be contacting government officials and laws regarding this.

Came into this location a couple weeks ago on a Sunday and there was no doctor on schedule. Melinda was great at helping me pick a pair of glasses. I work mon-Fri and can only come on Saturdays to be seen. I called a few hours ago and was told theyre booked with appointments all day but they accept walk-ins. I came back at 2:30 when the doctor came back from lunch and the manager turned me away saying I cant be seen today and can schedule me for Monday. I came in because your office accepts walk ins. I was planning on getting glasses and contacts from your location. I even purchased a Groupon special for your company so I can get a deal on my glasses. I was still going to be paying about $100-$150 out of pocket today. I guess Ill be going elsewhere and exchanging my Groupon for something else. Thanks.

I was looking forward to my appointment to get a 2nd opinion from my last eye exam taken at Walmart. As I waited for my turn I was asked to look in the eye puffer, and was asked if I had glasses, which I replied yes, but I am not happy with them and want to start from scratch as if I had none. The eye DR overheard and said that I MUST show them my glasses, and I explained why I was there, and to just act as though I had none. She was extremely HOSTILE and said I already said I had them, so I have to. She also said that she can tell I was going to be uncooperative . I explained that I did not have them with me, and she refused to believe me and continued to harass and embarrass me in the store. I told her how rude she was being, and she responded that I was the one who was rude. Obviously at that point I asked for my paperwork back and left, as she quickly left the room as I was asking for her name. The staff there gave me her name and was very nice. Her name was DR. Birnbaum. I will never go near an optical outlet again and will never recommend it!

Staff wonderful..brought wife to get her glasses today, I recently made appt at another company, Just cancelled and made my appt here...They are fast, through, very knowledgeable..We had a wonderful experience.Melinda was the best, so Helpful..they were very busy, but she still took the time to answer all our questions..I am 42 and been wearing glasses since 3rd grade and never had a better experience...I strongly recommend, if you need anything optical, this is the place to come to...Going anywhere else is a waste of time and money...Thank you Melinda and staff for making us feel at home..You have earned Lifetime customers..I will be making my appt on my next day off....

Terrible experience. They do your exam and they told me that it wont be more than $ 350 with no insurance. After the exam They told me that it will be $ 430. I los my money going to this place. The formula I had before is better than the one they gave me. Extremely disappointing and they told me that its nothing they can do.I would recommend Dr Jay Rosenfeld. better than this place They are more professional and They are located next to TJMaxx. Better people and better experience.I went to Optical outlets because they are open on weekends but I left the place crying and money being wasted

AWFUL JUST AWFUL if I could give them 0 stars I would the SERVICE and overall everything is terrible! I’ve dealt with them for way too long ongoing 2 years trying to give them benefit of the doubt but it just doesn’t stop. Couple months ago I went in for an eyeglass and contact fitting for “them” to call me a day later to bring my TRIAL pair of contact back if I wanted my eyeglasses. Fine I went back gave them their trial pair (which I’m assuming they disposed but couldn’t let me keep) because THEY MESSED UP but fine I took my glasses and left, now fast forward I’m calling to order my contacts and they’re saying unless I pay additional $60 they won’t release my prescription from 5 months ago because I took THE eyeglasses ( THEY NEVER TOLD ME THIS WHILE I WAS GETTING MY EXAM). Look guys go anywhere else the staff is completely unknowledgeable and the DR acted like she was paying me to come and see her (unprofessional and rude) to the staff that is constantly changing and not properly trained. I will be calling a lawyer and reporting them to BBB they shouldn’t be allowed to even service people when they WANT TO CHARGE FOR SERVICES THAT YOU ALREADY PAID FOR! Save your money go elsewhere.

People were great however the store is super small, no bathroom. I had to walk across the mall to get to bathroom with out contacts/glasses.

Nicholyn was awesome was in desperate need of contacts and they got me all situated with in one day! Definitely recommend.
