Holy customer service... Tony is the almighty bomb diggity!! Best experience Ive ever had in a music store and the selection was dope too! My best friend is deaf and from the moment we walked in, Tony was so attentive to both of us and my 6 year old rock star too! 10 out of 10!

I bought my first guitar today and I am more than pleased! I walked in, had the opportunity to look around with my friend, and got assistance and advice from Jesse! It didn’t feel like he was trying to sell me a specific guitar…he was honest and spoke highly about any option that would be a good fit for me. Afterwards, Elliot was able to check me out with my new guitar and he was more than helpful! He was able to answer all of my questions, helped me find other things I needed and was just overall helpful.

I came into guitar center today to pick up some recording equipment, I have really no prior knowledge about microphones and stuff, any I was helped by Elliot. He had amazing customer service and helped me get everything I needed and gave me information I needed. I like coming into a place being supported and he did just that. Just want to say a thank you to Elliot.

Walked in to get an Acoustic guitar fixed and in no time at all Kyle replaced the strings and tuned. Although I had no clue what I needed to fix my family members guitar, I was treated courtesy and not meant to feel foolish. Thanks for that so much because good customer service is not as prevalent as it used to be?

Absolutely fantastic customer service. Went in to get my first guitar, and a wonderful gentle by the name of Tony. Tony helped us find the right guitar, proper equipment, and made the experience a very enjoyable one. So, thank you Tony from Guitar Center.

Customer service is awesome. You can test basically everything. And if you need supplemental equipment, like a guitar pick or a capo, they have no problem letting you borrow those items. Hook up the electric guitars to the amplifiers to test audio quality. Play acoustic guitars in a sound-proof, humidified room to test instrument quality. Hop on the computer to test music production software, and even the quality of various speakers. And feel free to play on the electronic keyboards/pianos and drums. If youre feeling really fancy, you could start a band right there in the store. Phenomenal place to shop for all of your music needs.

The store is pretty good, they have decent deals, good item selection and quality staff.I went in to look at drum kits as a complete beginner. I had the pleasure to get help from Gary, the drum instructor. He gave me amazing tips, walked me through the drums, and even gave me a drumming lesson. He essentially made the kindle grow into a fire and made me be sure that I enjoy drumming. He is incredibly knowledgeable.If you need drumming lessons definitely ask for Gary. He has a great way of teaching and explaining. He is definitely a pro and has the patience of a saint. Ill definitely have to go back for more.

Kyle, the guitar tech, does AMAZING work!! The rest of the staff is also very friendly and helpful. I cannot recommend them enough!

Had a great time here! Practiced in the room with all the ukuleles, they have good acoustics in there 🤠👍 a little disappointed John Mayer wasn’t there but it’s ok! If I could I’d rate this place with 69 stars 😎

Love this place. Its like taking my kid to Disneyland but without out the travel, lines, and rude tourists. Costs about the same though.

It looked a bit low in inventory stock. When I called the staff knew nothing about the recording cables I needed and said they didnt have them. I decided to go look anyway and they did have what I needed.The price however was really high compared to the same item online. I purchased online elsewhere and saved 30 bucks.Possibly a bit more training and closer to MAP pricing?

My son is starting to play guitar. And needed all new equipment. The staff was helpful and patient. The store was fun to look around it. This was our first time there.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful here. My only gripe is that I ordered to pickup a bass guitar and never received confirmation it was ready. I was already on that side of town so I decided to go ahead and stop by two hours after I placed the order. However, I walked into the store and there it was still placed on the wall as if it’s available. I was not able to grab it despite having already purchased it, until i received the email confirmation it was ready.

Awesome place for guitar, piano and drum lessons!!! My daughter is currently taking weekly guitar classes. Everyone is super friendly and instantly consider you part of the music family. Very professional area for lessons. They have 6 soundproof rooms. All have cameras in them. You can watch your kid on the monitor from the waiting area! Highly Recommend!!

If you need repair work done on your guitar, I recommend Kyle. He did a great job fixing my Taylor and Ovation.

So a couple facets to cover on this review. First, do NOT order online for store pickup. The inventory data on the site is irrelevant. If you order something that is at the store, they will not give it to you from their inventory; they will wait for it to get shipped to them from the dc. So if you need something that day do not expect to be able to order online and go pick it up that day even if the item you ordered is right on the shelf. Their selection at this location is quite limited, the Englewood location has much more selection. The staff I interacted with was fine, not really going out of the way to resolve any issues but friendly. I will definitely be avoiding this location in the future.

My experience everyone at the store has been quite helpful and full of information. Every question I asked was answered promptly and accurately and they had everything that I needed for my music experience.

Bought the extended warranty for my headphones. Took a week to get someone to send me info on where to send the damaged headphones. Go to ship them and then it turns out I have to pay even more for the shipping. I was hung up on 3 times and one of those times when I was at guitar center with an employee and we both were hung up on. Whats the point of a warranty if we gotta pay pay pay? Highly disappointed in the service Ive received.

I have been to guitar center in Phoenix, Detroit, Toledo, and now here in Springs. They are all the same. Beginner musicians thinking they are god, they dont feel like helping out, and they dont know the gear they are selling. Here in Colorado Springs was the definite worst. One hispanic girl was the only nice person there

I believe the salesman who has helped me out a few times is named Trevor and he is OUTSTANDING - look him up if you need quick, friendly assistance - this guy is super-sharp! Also, the current guitar tech at this location (apologies for blanking on his name) did truly first-rate work on my SG and is a fantastic guitarist and great guy. This location seemed poorly-run a few years back but I really enjoy dropping in there these days.

Rude staff. Type of people to not even look you in the eye and ignore you when you say Thank you have a good day. Waiting around for help at the register and they are all just chatting. Act like you just interrupted their conversation. Elitist attitudes. Look like the kind of people to close their eyes and feel the music when they play Nothing Else Matters for the 900th time.

The guitar tech here is top-shelf. Very helpful and friendly. I have had both average and phenomenal experiences with staff here. Average typically at front of store, phenomenal in live sound section. All in all, solid store, and I dont mind asking some dumb questions to. I DO wish they would replicate GC dot com deals. I happened to be in Centennial and their store replicated a SM57 combo where here, not so much. Managers preference? For every, ehhh, moment, there are 3 fantastic experiences for me.

Purchased a used Fender American Standard Stratocaster online from another state 1000 miles away. Paid for 1 day shipping and got the item at 9 am the next day.Guitar was in amazing condition as described and already set up well. Was packaged securely. And they even threw in some strings, a cleaning cloth and 2 hex keys. Great experience!

I like that there’s always someone who is eager to help and they really know their stuff. I love that they don’t pressure you to buy anything but answer just about any question you have! Small variety of used gear you can usually find a good deal on too, because I just love me a good deal.

Uhh yeah pretty awesome. I called ahead and they found and held a particular guitar for me, Kyle replaced a string on my acoustic for zero dollars, and everyone was cool as heck. Had a good time. Would recommend.

Don’t even waste your time or resources to go here; went in to try and buy a used amp only to find out it was already sold online and I couldn’t buy it. No use sticking around only to find out everything has already been sold and the store front is a giant charade.

Went in knowing absolutely nothing about guitars, within half an hour i was walking out the door, a brand new quality guitar and everything i needed for it in hand! The employees definitely know their stuff and are more than willing to help as much as they can! 10/10 would recommend again!

The staff in this store is indifferent at best. I was looking to purchase a guitar and amp. I wanted to try the two guitars I was deciding between with the amp I knew I wanted. It took three different people walking past me and 20 minutes before I got any assistance. When I finally got to try the guitars, it took maybe 15 minutes to decide between the two. I told someone which guitar I wanted and they put it behind the counter for me. Then, I waited another 20 minutes with no help and no one around to ring up my purchases so, I walked out. I was ready to drop over $2k on a guitar and amp but couldnt get any help in a store that only had around 8 people in it. Very sad.

Of course musical instruments are here in abundance and I love the complete assortment of accessories that are always hard to find anywhere else. But the number one resource I treasure is the expertise and advice from techs whove actually used the products.

This store is ok, not great. The guitar selection leaves something to be desired and the music is too loud to really hear the guitar/amp tonality. Some staff will go out of their way to help you, others dont really care. Its hit or miss.

Always very helpful and nice. They also offer my husband military discount! The GC near us does not! It would be nice if it was same rules for all.

I love music stores. Hearing all of the instruments being played by all different skill levels, being surrounded with like minded music lovers, and seeing any and all instruments, theres something very unique about it all. However, during my last visit here, I felt incredibly pressured by the sales team. What could have been an in-and-out exchange at a competing chain, was instead a 30 minute fiasco, and I left feeling financially and mentally drained. The inventory was a mess, and we spent a majority of our time waiting for a staff member to find a product, only to come back saying he couldnt find it, or that the price was different then what was posted. Once we were finally ready to check out, he bombarded me with questions, asking for my phone number and email, trying to get me to buy protection plans, pushing a credit card on my friend and I, etc. You would think they would sense how uncomfortable we were, but they didnt, because after I paid and was headed out he asked me to leave a review. I feel like maybe guitar center is struggling to meet sales quotas or maybe theyre heading towards bankruptcy. For how pushy the staff was, I wouldnt be surprised. Needless to say, Ill be taking my future business to music go round.

How was Guitar Center? Expensive as usual! But it is the best place for all the gear with the best staff. Happily spend money there.

Carlos was great! He found the exact guitar my husband wanted. They didnt have it anywhere in the state. Other stores told me to wait for the backorder. Carlos called other stores out of state until he found the exact guitar my husband wanted. He made sure they shipped it to the store. We had it in two days. I bought a used drumset online. I didnt expect it to be perfect its used. But you would think that they would give you the hardware that goes to that set not just throw anything together and send me out the door with it. Its not like I didnt spend more cash while picking up my new drum set. I get it it is called guitar center so what is it that is there main focus guitars? Most hardware for drums are enter changeable. Except this one sets tom risers are oblong and not round. Big difference.

Let me start with i am not a musician. I went to get a guitar for my son. The individual who helped me took the time to teach me what I needed to know to make an informed decision. I have also brought my 13 year old in here in the past and he was treated like a little kid and the did not ignore him to just talk to me. The staff treated him like a musician and not just a kid. Great place!!

Truly a wonderful experience from a team of enthusiastic professionals. I drove down from Denver, because my experience with the stores up here have been lackluster over the past couple years (despite my best efforts to give them the benefit of the doubt). They simply feel like they are just showing up and clocking in up here, unfortunately.However, the Colorado Springs location reminds me of all the best parts of GC. As a former employee myself, I know what is expected of them, and the crew at this location were exactly what GC wants stores fo aspire to: professional, knowledgeable, and above all, in love with music. Taylor helped me price my trade in, and didn’t try to sandbag me even a little, which is an annoying trend these days. Once I got my trade-in value (which wasn’t an insignificant amount), I decided to spend it right there, and mostly because Taylor and his fellow crew were such a pleasure to work with. It made me want to spend more time there, and because they took care of me, I spent every penny from my trade, and then some.I had all but given up on GC based on experiences around Denver, and the Colorado Springs location brought me back. I will drive the extra 1+ hour to come down to this location the next time I need gear (which is likely sooner than not) and appreciate that this store gave me the benchmark experience so many shops fail to deliver these days.Thank you all at GC Colorado Springs, and I’ll be seeing you again soon!

I believe his name was Trevor, he had a tat on his right arm that said loser with a v over the s. I just want to give credit where due. I have never gone into a store and had as good as a visit when I came into your shop. As soon as I arrived I had multiple people greet me with smiling faces and everyone was extremely friendly. Mostly the man that I describe above went above and beyond helping me pick out a bass KB guitar and amp.

My wife went here to buy me a guitar amplifier for Christmas. Shes not familiar with all the intricacies of amplifiers, so she asked an employee for assistance who made her feel stupid because she didnt know exactly what I wanted in an amplifier. She tried to describe what guitars I have, types of music I play, etc...to no avail. The employee did not try to assist her in any way.I ended up ordering an Orange amp from MusiciansFriend.com instead of going down there myself. Just another reason why Guitar Center is tanking!

Skip this,, their lessons are sub par at best. My experience here was terrible, the scheduling department is completely disheveled and inaccurate. I showed up to no instructor and then was asked why I missed lessons. My recommendation is to skip this all together. Find a private lesson that will follow through and do what they say. Furthermore they refuse to make it right, no refund for unused lessons and no credit when they werent ready. SMH

Place was very busy, eventually we were able to get someone to help us purchase a guitar and some accessories but it took a while.

From a dj perspective: always love going here recently the selection of dj gear and stage lighting at this location has been slim and expensive. Not sure if this is due to supply and shipping issues or not during covid. Will give it a 5th star when I see this area get filled in alittle better like it use to be.

Music, music, musical items. Busy place @ times, never hesitate to look around when the staff is attending to others. New ideas always available for whatever your interests are. Being a drummer, Im also self teaching myself the bass guitar. Check out the beginner, or more advanced equipment. Repairs can be very inexpensive depending on the problem. See ya around.

Super small guitar selection weird if you ask me super expensive selection too. I wont be back but thats just me. The star is for the store quality not the employees just to be clear they helped my in a most appreciated way. I had to through that in.

I had my electric repaired and purchased a few items. Helpful and efficient employees. Affordable repair and good insight into some gear I needed.

The employees here are awesome. Trevor took the time to teach me how to resting a guitar while he was doing it. It little things like this that give me the I enjoyed shopping here experience. If management sees this, give Trevor an attaboy! You want to keep employees like him.
