I have had many issue with franchise shops through my driving career so far, basically the business wants to maximize their profit at the expense of customer satisfaction. Happy to report that is not the case here, fair price with quality work. Can’t go wrong here

While dropping my daughter off at UofSC got a flat tire after driving 500 miles down on Sunday evening. Met Jeff at the garage first thing the next morning, and after discovering my other tires were almost shot, he was able to get new set of tires installed and alignment adjusted within a couple hours to help me start my 8 hour drive home. I can’t speak highly enough about Jeff’s professionalism, his friendly demeanor, and the quick turnaround of his stellar crew. If you’re looking for tires or general service I would definitely check out this location. Thanks again, Jeff!

I have been to many auto service places over my years but I found this group about 10 years ago and have stayed with them. I have even used other Goodyear locations but have found this particular location to be the BEST in the Midlands.

I have used this location for a couple years now and bought 2 sets of tires from them. Apparently they are very short staffed now. I went 2 days in a row trying to get an oil change and was turned away both times. They said they were too busy, couldnt help me. I offered to drop the car off for several hours both days but was still refused service both times. I definitely wouldnt recommend this location, nor will I be going back.

They took care of replacing the front two tires on my work van. They did it quickly easily, they were unable to further service to the truck that needed it because my truck is too big for their facility

Had new tires put on and alignment performed, they did not put the TPMS back in my tires. They left my tires unbalanced and under inflated and thus a lot of vibrating in my car while driving.

This is more of a review about the character of a Goodyear employee at this location. I am sorry I dont remember his name, but a few months ago, while driving home from work, I noticed smoke coming out from under the hood. Without thinking, I turned down the closest side street to get out of the way of traffic. I happened to turn and stop right in front of Goodyear.After a few minutes of checking things out myself, one of the employees from Goodyear came out to ask if I needed help. I told him what happened and he went to get water for the radiator. After putting the water in the radiator he noticed water running out one of the hoses. I asked his advice if he thought I could get it home and call a tow truck the next day. He thought I could. And I did.My point is, this man didnt have to come out and help me. I think it was 6 oclock or later. I am not a customer. But with his help, I was able to get home and take care of my car the next day. So thank you sir for your help and kindness. It was greatly appreciated.

Service staff were excellent. Purchased 4 new tires and these guys had me in and out the door the quickest Ive ever seen. Better service than Firestone and Costco tires so if youre shopping tires or service this location is the best in Columbia by far. Dont be intimidated by the downtown traffic because theyre location makes it super easy to get in and out when youre on the clock.

My son’s in College in SC and I live in GA. His brakes were really screeching. So he parked at Good Year Friday night. Saturday morning he went in and was advised of what was wrong with his car. The cost of what was needed to fix his car was a little more than we anticipated. However, the Service Manager Jeff was great, he took the time to tell me what and why rather than just say this needs to be done and this is how much it’s going to cost. He also let us know what needs to be fixed later rather than say it needs to be taken care of now. I really appreciated his honesty, concern and compassion. Thank You So Much!!

Very kind employees. My car battery died a few blocks down and when jumping it didnt work we came here. They let me borrow a car jumper and when that didnt work, an employee offered and came by after getting off work (which was only 40 minutes from that time) to jump start me. He had a bigger car and was able to jump my car. Thankfully it worked this time after letting it sit for 10 minutes and I was able to drive to an auto parts store to get a new battery. Truly amazing people.

Fantastic group of people. Honest when doing your car work and let me know whats going on with other issues. They make me aware but dont try to pressure me on having any work done by them. The speed of service was incredible! The Customer service was A+. It took them less than a hour to complete what I needed done. They have some awesome technicians. And the lobby waiting area was very pleasant and comfortable.

This is a great location. I get nervous about visiting car shops because you never know who will rip you off. However these guys were honest when my brakes went out and instead of recommending new rotors and all new brakes, fixed up what they could replaced only what was needed and gave me advice in timeline and what to look out for in the future.

My company uses the location for many of their needs. I came in at 8:15 am to get an oil changeThere was already one person getting tires. He was told takes about an 1 1/2 hours to get a set He said ok. I was told they were waiting on their morning appointments that were not there yet. And they only had 2 people working and had 3 other cars ahead of me. No one was in any bay I was told it would take 3 to 4 hours for a oil change. if I waitJust seems ridiculous to me

Made an appointment online for 2pm today too the car in at 140pm.. i was told it would be an hour since i was dropping it off. while at work i realized it was 4pm and had not gotten a call yet. I called the store to see if i could come get it and i was told by a rude gentlemen on the phone i could come get it if i wanted too but the car was not done and he would not know when it would be with 38 cars in front of mine.. keep in mind when i dropped the car off there were about 10 cars in the parking lot. i have now have to wait till who knows for my car, had to call for an update when they should keep people posted if it was going to be long or inform when dropping the car off in person. Without a car and having to relay on others. first and last time going to this business.

This Goodyear Auto Service Center added air to all my tires yesterday when I got a low tire pressure warning in my car. THANK YOU! I tried 3 gas stations, and wasted 3 dollars in quarters on air pumps that didnt work. The Goodyear folks were quick, helpful, and very curtious! Many thanks.

Went to Goodyear 3 months ago for a nail in the tread of the tire. Was told it was too close to the sidewall and that the tire would have to be replaced for $216.30, which I did. Recently went back for another nail in a different tire and was told the same thing, only a new tire would now cost $250.00. Took my car to another reputable repair shop nearby and was told the tire was certainly able to be fixed and had it repaired in under 10 minutes for a cost of $10.00. I will certainly avoid taking my vehicle here again.

Felt welcome on my visit place is very clean staff was very informative and helpful. Definitely a place to revisit when in need of repair or any other service work.

Service and prices are average. I worked out a good brake deal via the phone with Jeff. I asked him if I should come and sign the paperwork and he said no it is fine we will get it taken care of. Once I got to the shop I found out they didnt flush my brake lines which was part of the deal. Bottom line they lie about small things. Their word isnt good. I wouldnt recommend them for any type of work. If they lie about small things then they probably cut corners when possible.

Drop my car off for a simple oil change all I wanted was to pay and never think about this again. But instead I come back to my car being in worst condition then I left it in. My interior reeked of oil, clearly dirty hands have been all over with oil and dirt on the hand brake and shifter and the best part is they scratched my steering wheel. Lastly they over filled my car with at least an extra half quort of oil... for those of you who don’t know that’s a BIG No no. Now my car is burning off oil and reeking of it and causing damage to the inside of my motor. So after all of my effort I now have to change my own oil like I should of done the first time. Thanks for wasting my time, oh yah and they refused to own up to anything that happened that day... thanks guys

I had the Pirelli tires on my 2015 Camaro replaced with a set of Goodyear Eagle Sport tires at this location. I called the store about a week before having the work done, and Johnny held the tires for me until I could arrange a date to get it done. The cost of the work was a little higher than the credit limit on my Goodyear card, so Johnny called the credit person and arranged for a credit line increase to accommodate the full amount of my purchase so I could take advantage of the 6 months same-as-cash deal. He also showed me how to get the rebate from Goodyear.After about 100 miles of driving with the new Goodyear Eagle Sport tires, I can say that these tires provide a much better ride than the Pirelli tires and they are not as noisy. I’m glad I got the Goodyear tires.I found Johnny and the other front desk staff to be friendly and helpful. I will definitely use this store again for future tire purchases.

Even serviced me immediately for two flats on Christmas eve, late in the evening. Honest, good people, only seem like crooks to those who want everything for free

Fantastic repair shop. Replaced water pump, did alignment, oil change, wiper blades and serpentine belt in less than 2 hours. Cost was less than expected and 6 months to pay with the Goodyear CC without interest.

I have been taking my car here for almost 4yrs now. Reliable, affordable, and time efficient. My car has over 200k and keep it in top top shape. I would never go anywhere else.

Yesterday blew serpentine belt about 10 miles out of town on a back road. Lost power steering. Nursed car back to town at 30mph. Took to Goodyear next morning. Repairs started at 8am and finished by 11am. Cost around $400 and change. Large enough that when I put on my Goodyear credit card I get no intrest if paid off in 6 months. Very important factor for someone on Social Security. ASE certified mehcanics. Friendly and competent staff.

Johnny Taylor was so amazing! We had a flat tire from our drive up here. We contacted him and he quickly rectified that situation, and in such a pleasant manner. We walked around while he got our car fixed until he called us when it was done. He gave us a really good deal and was so friendly. He told us things to do while we were waiting (for entertainment) and he gave us directions! Nicest man ever. So glad we went here, not just for the grway vispcust service but for safety. 😊

Nice staff but they do not set reasonable expectations for amount of time they need work. We called ahead to make an appointment for an oil change. Told us to bring our car in at 8 am and we’re still sitting here two hours later and counting...

The guys are friendly, and they work relatively quickly, but their fatal flaw is that they are always trying to sell tires and use scare tactics or the fact that you have no other alternative, to push their products.I got an oil change (which by the way at $100 was the most expensive one Ive ever had in my life) which was supposed to include a free tire rotation. They refused to do the tire rotation because my tires were damaged. Then he gave me the whole spiel about dont drive too fast on the interstate and this will give you trouble in the near future. The tires had great tread on them.This was the second time something like that had happened, I previously went in to have a flat tire repaired and they would not repair it and forced me to buy a new one. Given I had no other option since my tire was going flat and I needed to leave town I reluctantly purchased a new one. The price was reasonable for the tire.

Quick oil change with no up sell. Knew I had a tire that needed replacing soon, they did point this out and gave a fair quote to replace it. They even reset the maintenance light.

The guys that work up front have been there for as long as I can remember and provide the best customer service and options for repairing your vehicle

NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Took it in for a basic oil change and they rounded off my oil plug and oil filter housing so bad that the next time I tried taking it in i had to go to three different shops to be denied service for liability reasons. Do not give them service.

Called just asking if it would be possible to bring my car in for a diagnostic and the guy on the phone was not helpful at all and seemed like he didnt want my business at all. I asked can you do this today, he said, we can try. then told me the diagnostic fee as if trying to dissuade me from coming. What??? Didnt sound confident at all.

Plan to have items stolen from your car if you come here. Good service, but a very shady staff.

I went to this shop to change my car engine oil, and discovered today that my engine cap is missing and the engine is messy from oil thanks good i found the cap jammed somewhere beneath the engine obviously it was loosely placed i will never go back again and i dont recommend this place to a friend
